Awesome teacher! He's very informed about the issues he teaches. There are some professors that are better scientiest or sociologist than they are teachers... but Cho is a kickass teacher.

He is a really cool guy, tought the material very well, and kept the class pretty interesting almost the entire time.

He was pretty easy, had some interesting topics but had a boring teaching style. He just puts notes on the overhead every day. He allows annoying students to talk about irrelevant stuff that no one else cares to hear. I didn't pay to listen to some idiot taking the class talk about themselves but that's all it was half the time.

His tests are based on what he puts on the board. We had great discussions.

Cho was an awesome teacher. His lectures were not boring and his exams were the best!! I loved them! I did get a C in class but that was totally my fault. I got 90 out of 100 on the 1st exam & full points on all my assignments. BUT i slacked off on the last two exams & thats why i got a C lol. oops. but i would honestly recommend CHO to evryone :)

Great intro to sociology.Lectures were boring, basically he read from an overhead.But this class was easy and interesting.His tests were straightforward,no tricky wording.He is interested in topics and can relate ideas to present day situations/examples.Made it more interesting.In all I really enjoyed his class.

Good class if you want to focus all your attention on the topic of "RACE". Being White, i felt that this class was mainly focusing on how the minorities in this country have such difficult lives and the white population today should feel bad. I also felt he was very unprofessional. You may call "hip".. but he is tryin to act like a homie in tacoma.

Loved this class. Pay attention to lectures, lecture notes are available online. Dr. Cho makes this relevant and very interesting. Would recommend his class highly.

Dr. Cho is a GREAT teacher. I would highly recommend him. He is very helpful and is understanding. You don't really need to show up to class, but it's a fun class. lol. If you don't show up to class then you can just read the lecture notes that he posts online. Hardly ever use the book, just know the lecture notes. He grades fairly. Great teacher.

He is a hottie and has a swagger like no other. Other than that he's a tough grader, he expects all of his students to do their best and be involved in their education. He's really laid back. His exams are good if you studied. NO tricky wording. And he gives extra credit but you have to work forit. Awesome and hot :)

Cho teaches one of the most interesting classes I have ever taken. I took SOC262 under him, and I have to say, I am a changed person for this class. He is VERY funny, and gets along well with the students, its like being taught by a highschooler. He is easy to understand, and willing to help you get all the EC points you can. Great teacher!

Dr Cho is one of the BEST teachers that I have ever had. Class was so interesting it flew by. Dr Cho also knows his stuff, some teachers teach from note, not him.

Best correspondence course I've taken. The 5th edition textbooks used in the correspondence course are a bit dated, but the class was great from the instructor's end of things.

Honestly one the best teachers I've personally ever had. Very helpful and explains everything very well. Also makes the class interesting with his teaching style and the topics of assignments. Wish I needed more Soc so I could have him as a professor again.

With Dr. Cho you will LEARN sociology in simple English. Dr. Cho uses words that we of all ages can understand and use in our everyday life. A person not taking his class is missing out on Sociology and what it means in today's society!!!

Dr. Cho is great. He is a very easy going teacher that really loves his job. You will take a interest in learning if Dr. Cho is teaching. He is one of the best teachers that I have taken at TCC.

This was a good class, Dr. Cho teaches very well. However I felt the main focus of this class was on racial inequality, most assignments had to do with Asian-American or African-American inequalities in the U.S. Also, Dr. Cho is a young teacher and you can see that in the way he dresses, it is never professional it's always laid back.

Cho is the best professor ever! He really cares about his students & pushes them to excel. His style of teaching is very interactive and he makes it easy to learn. He requires a LOT of writing, but the more you write, the more you learn and remember. He reviews everything on the test beforehand, almost ver batem. You'll want to take all his classes

Very interactive teacher, Very helpful, it's like having a class with one of your friends... a very, very, smart friend, who is in control of your grade, and genuinely wants you to be interested in what he is teaching you, I recommend taking all of his classes, by far one of the best teachers I had at TCC.

Great teacher! Would take more of his classes. Gives plenty of opportunity for extra credit, take advantage of it early! Very clear in lectures and class was always interesting. Class is not mandatory but it attending everyday is the only way to get an A. He constantly tells us what is going to be on the exams.

Dr. Cho is an amazing instructor! 2 midterms and 1 final, but he tells you exactly what will be on the tests. No book! But LOTS of reading! All of the articles are interesting and lectures are always funny and never boring. He is a really cool guy and I would definitely recommend him!

This instructor is passionate and knowledgeable about sociology, so I definitely recommend his class. 2-3 assignments per week max & a handful of multiple choice tests throughout quarter. I was frustrated bc this teacher allowed students to constantly shout out--yes, we are all adults, but Cho did nothing to stop students from being distracting.

Make sure to check canvas at least every other day to see if a new assignment has been posted because sometimes new ones pop up with a short window of 2 to 3 days to finish. There is a lot of reading assignments for this class and be sure to complete all of them. Don't skip class because he will discuss most of what will show up on the tests.

bets teacher Ive had very helpful wants you to succeed not the easiest class assignments are very mandatory missing one assignment could effect your grade tremendously.

Dr. Cho is the best. Take good notes, do the assignments and read the links he posts to canvas and you will pass with flying colors.

Dr. Cho was an awesome instructor. I loved his class and would take another of his. Lectures are interesting and tests aren't too hard. He has a great sense of humor and is pretty laid back. He has the most impressive shoe collection I've ever seen.

Andrew is funny and really knows his stuff. Lectures are really interesting,and you learn a lot. Tests are easy, he goes over the material so you know what to expect. Do your homework, come to class and it should be an easy A! The book was free.

Best sociology teacher. He is very laid back and speaks to students as equals. He tells you exactly what is on his tests and the answers to the questions, and basically nothing else. If you don't show up, you won't get the answers for the tests. He brings sociology into the real world and gives personal examples of the concepts.

I took Sociology of Asian Americans with Dr. Cho. Lots of reading! Although the readings are incredibly interesting and after your finished reading them you come out with a better understanding. Cho is the most fairest professor I have ever taken! Come to class because he rewards those who do with extra credit.

One of the most genuine and fair instructors I've ever encountered. You will definitely come away with a better understanding of yourself and others. All of the material for tests are covered in class, so don't miss any classes.

If it's your first quarter in college I would definitely recommend him. He was the most laid back prof I've ever had; he told cool stories and was easy to understand. Tests even included some jokes, one of the easiest classes I've taken. I really enjoyed the material and articles he had us go over but I wish he expected a little more from students

Dr. Cho is a straight-forward professor. While attendance isn't mandatory, participation counts, and he tells you what will be on the exams during class and won't mention it after that day. Down-to-earth and tells interesting/hilarious stories about his experiences. Two midterms, a final, and occasional assignments. Willing to answer any question.

If only there were more professor's like Cho in the world! You will not regret taking his class, you will actually learn and retain the information because that is what happens when you finally have a great teacher! His work is not easy but if you try and fail he won't screw your grade up. He teaches you!

Overall really nice guy who is passionate about Sociology. I couldn't make the final because of plans made months ago and he worked with me to arrange a different convenient time. His walks you through what will be on the test and even provides a study guide with most of the topics that will be on the test.

He makes this class fun and very interesting! This was a class I look forward to! The material you read is actually interesting and relevant so it doesn't feel like work.

Dr. Cho is a great professor and I signed up for another class with him. The work is not difficult. The reading is always pretty interesting. Sometimes its fairly long but not anything too intense. He gives answers to the exams in class SO SHOW UP TO CLASS. Seriously, the lectures are good and he's pretty funny. Genuinely wants you to succeed.

I thought this class was going to be difficult, but I got an A just by showing up & maybe studying for 30 minutes before the test. His lectures are long, but funny & engaging. Homework was assigned less as the quarter went on, but it was never hard & always interesting. He gives out study guides. Textbook is hardly used. Also offers extra credit.

Dr Cho is so awesome. I really felt like i have learned in his classes, but the work was not hard. I definitely recommend paying attention during lecture, but it is not hard to know what you need to study. He is my favorite prof around. He is productive in his teaching, and very kind. Hes hilarious too.

I am a little over halfway through Dr. Cho's SOC 101/ STARS class during Fall 2020. I like the assignments, he's quick to respond to messages, and his (optional) lectures are fun and enjoyable discussions.

I've taken 2 of Dr. Cho's classes and cannot recommend them enough. He will modify his courses if there is something specific you would like to learn about, always emails back right away, gives amazing feedback, and his lessons are always interesting. By far my favorite teacher at TCC.

Dr. Cho is an excellent teacher and person. He actually really cares about his students and your success. I personally love reading and writing so these types of classes come natural for me as far as the work load goes. I was going through a serious life predicament and Dr. Cho went above and beyond to ensure that I could still be successful.

The class was amazing and fun. The lectures were great and very informative. Sociology covers some topics that can be uncomfortable to discuss with a room full of strangers, but he presented everything very well and guided discussions appropriately. I really enjoyed the class and would strongly recommend this professor for anything.

Dr. Cho was an amazing teacher to have for Soc 101. He is funny, engaging, and super down to earth. Grading and expectations clearly set from start and class participation/group work was highly encouraged. Assignments were based on lectures and resources (articles, research studies etc) - no midterm/final. Thought provoking and impactful class.
