Good professor and knows what he is talking about, just didn't have the best experience with him and any form of leniency when I had an emergency come up at home. Very serious guy but you will learn.

Take Dr. Corley! The homework is the same for everyone enrolled in Spanish, but he explains it so well. I enjoyed being in class while we were still at school. The rest of the semester was done online because of covid, but it was not what I call hard work. I took him for 121 too.

He was very rude and disrespectful when commenting or emailing me. Turning in anything late will result in a 0 regardless if its 1 minute late. A bunch of readings every week along with lecture videos and long discussions. Do not recommend, take someone else.

He is probably the worst professor I have had. He is very rude with his feedback. He always leaves comments that are unnecessary, id rather him just give me a grade than bash my work that I worked hard on. He does not except late work and will give you a zero no matter what happened. Take someone else.

This has been the most frustrating experience I have ever had with a professor. He responds very rudely in his emails even if you are only asking a question and gives unnecessary harsh feedback on your work. The only pro is that his class is pretty straightforward and only requires a decent amount of work. Still, I'd recommend taking someone else

This class is easy for anyone who is anywhere near good at reading comprehension and analysis. I can see why people would be upset with certain aspects of the class and the teacher but people who do not do well are likely bad at comprehending and analyzing a text therefore making it their fault for choosing this class in the first place.

Dr. Corley is super nice and always responded to my (many) emails quickly and never got annoyed with helping me. The class is a writing one, so obviously you'll be doing lots of papers, but they are not very long and he gives you the option to revise after it is graded to improve! There was only one online lecture a week, which was nice!

Dr. C is amazing. The class is very writing heavy but if you need help, he is there for you. He didn't get frustrated with me when I needed to contact him multiple times. I accidentally handed something in late and he was very understanding. This is a professor that truly cares about his students and wants to help improve their skills.

Although there is a lot of work to be graded on, it shouldn't take more than 2 hours to complete all in one day, although everything isn't due until Friday. He is definitely a harsh grader but whenever I emailed him with issues, he genuinely cared and helped me out and that is what I liked about him.

Professor Corley seems to care for his students but if you do not put in the effort, you will not do well. The class is not that hard but it can seem like Mr. Corley is a hard grader. Mostly discussion board and blog posts, one semester project, and 2 exams.

I really enjoyed this class and Dr.Corley. It does have a good bit of reading but it doesn't take up to much time if you're proactive about it. He's pretty honest when it comes to feedback so some people may get offended but it does help. There is a midterm and a final is pretty straightforward. It's an easy class if you apply yourself.

I've only gotten a couple B's in college and this was one of them. He expects his students to be very proficient in Spanish when most of us are just beginners. Has you write essays and gives you a B if it's not perfect. Expects students to be way more into the material than is reasonable.

Runs the classroom like HS classroom. No bathroom during class or drinking anything (water included). He wants you to get a good grade & is knowledgeable about Spanish, but there are a ton of small writings not known about in advance, so if you miss class, you get a 0 on the writing. Drops 2 short writings & lets you rewrite papers if less than A.

Best Spanish teacher I've ever had! The tests and quizzes weren't too difficult as long as you studied a little bit. There is a project, but it is very easy and he doesn't grade harsh. Prepare for the oral exam!

Corley is not awful, it is definitely not the end of the world to take him. He gives the opportunity to revise your grade up 10 points on the essays. What is difficult is that he doesn't give much room for the expression of ideas not talked about in class. If you have a different take or analysis it is often points off, it is very aggravating.

Everything he talks about in class is from the HW due the night before. He laughs at peoples answers in front of them. Ended up being nice towards the end. Final is 20% of your grade. You can't really study for the tests. A lot of quizzes. Got into a screaming match with him once. DO NOT USE PHONE IN CLASS. Not allowed to go to BR during lecture.

I took the online version. Prof. Corley was nice and responded to questions online and by email. He gave study guides and powerpoints but its pretty much self teaching. I went to his office hour and he looked my exam with me and found points that he should not have taken off and then he changed my grade.

I took this class as an asynchronous class. I think many of my problems were with the class content itself because the material is a lot for not having a real class structure. As a professor, IDK I never reached out for help during the course. So what you get out of the professor is on you for this class. This is the main takeaway.
