Didn't like him. The computer stuff isn't easy and when you ask him for help, he's very condescending and aloof! Quizzes every week. Hard excel project that will take you a least a month to complete. Find another teacher.

He's not clear at all about what he expects of student. He doesn't really teach anything.

Very poor job of explaining concepts. Time could be better spent simply reading the textbook rather than going to class. Everyone does poorly but he curves tremendously.

class structure is just quizes on the quizes, a little bit of dos and mostly excel. If you like excel, you will learn a lot. the Dos part was a waste of time. in this class your on your own.

Easiest Accounting class because it is not really accounting. It is more like an excel class. If you arent familiar with comps you might struggle. He has 2 test a quiz every week and gigantic excel project at the end.

BORING!!! Better know your operating system BEFORE taking this class, because he jumps right in. Excel project is long but not difficult. Go over the old projects to get ideas. Tests are tough but he curves. Quizzes pretty much every week.

This professor is very boring and extremely arrogant. I didnt understand why he used to smile in class when he made those comments. Nonetheless, he has a huge curve at the end of the class. I had no chance of passing and I still passed.

All based on Excel, was a good learning experience. Teaching wise he was bad. Makes students feel stupid when they asks questions! Makes you feel incompetent. Not a good professor teaching wise. Many quizzes from chapters which were easy. Exam is tough..

I think his teaching is plain horrible. He is not very clear on what he wants and expects students to be excel experts. Not too helpful and not approachable. Grading is a bit whack, however he gives curves to grades which help out but does not compensate for his horrible teaching.

Easy homework assignments, right out of his personal handbook (12 ish dollars). Talks about XBRL for about 2 weeks (4 classes), the rest of the class is spent on Excel. The material covered in his course is laughable by industry professionals. If you are going into a firm, look for another 307 teacher as you will take away nearly nothing from this.

This class was horrible. Quizzes were easy but u must read the text, 2 exams were extremely difficult. Questions were dumb and silly. Excel project was so time consuming, u basically study on ur own. I spent all my study time to do his project and ended up w/ a C in the class. Luzi has no consideration for students, not approachable.

Useless as a teacher. Very condonsending towards students. The excel project was difficult and I have been using spreadsheet programs since the first Lotus version came out. He is no help at all. I felt sorry for those students that have ESL issues, I had to help several students during the lab sessions because they could not understand him.

You have heard it all... Take someone else if you can. Very boring class and he makes it worse. Project is time consuming and a waste of time. If you are stuck with him, you will survive, but try to get another teacher.

Did not like this class. Don't like my grade. Homework assignments are not well instructed. Basically I learn on my own and ask my friends.I'm not at the project at the moment, but looking at it I can tell it is extreme difficult. I would prefer another prof. who explains well and care about their students. 2 exams, project, and hw.

wow...I made it through with a B. Material was interesting but could've been taught better. Class requires lots of time and self-teaching but you learn alot!!! He's not a bad guy. Just do everything HIS WAY or you'll suffer through the class.

His exams are 70-75 questions. Too much questions for an exam i guess. Basically this class you have to learn on your own. Instructions from him are not helpful to do the project or the homeworks. The quizzes came from the textbook, if you have good memory, just memorize what is in the text then you will score 10/10. LoL!

This class is not that bad. Instruction is pretty boring so just do what he tells you or you will fail the course! 1 Midterm 30%, Final 30%, extremely time consuming and difficult Excel project 20%, and 20 Quizzes averaged for 20%. Buy an Excel 2007 comprehensive book for extra help!

Odd personality and impersonal. Lectures move QUICKLY and he will not wait for students to catch up. Not of much use during office hours, so you better comprehend the material in-class. An "A" is attainable, but you must work HARD in this class. ***Be prepared to devote a minimum of 40 hours for the Excel project.***

Subject is not hard, he just makes it difficult!Provides no instructions, lack teaching skills, and impersonal. To pass: Buy the text from his site, read chapters b4 the quiz, and pay attention. If you do not like programming and excel, you will struggle in this class. Find a friend that is good with that stuff. Good luck...

Tough class. I was so scared to take this class in the beginning, but I learned a lot during the course, especially the project. Exams are hard! But he does curve. Unsocial but nice professor. Got to read the chapters to get A's.

Intermediate and Advanced Excel.it is an easy subject, but due to his lack of teaching skills, the lecture is useless. He has a general flow,but unorganized,so it is hard to catch him.All the details will show in the exam.You have to be a VERY good notes taker and read the book in DETAIl,and have to be a self learner to do the project.

To call this guy a prick would probably strike a cord of pride for him. He seems to thrive at being a jerk. Very particular about following instructions, but instructions can be very vague. Countless emails, some of which are included in test material. Learned great stuff for Excel tho. Definitely a "bad medicine that's good for you" stigma.

Luzi tries to get his students ready for the real world of accounting by making all of his directions as intentionally awkward and tedious as possible, to break you of your habits to take shortcuts and to do things as mechanically as possible. The quizzes are from the book, but the lecture is 100% excel; the major project has almost no directions.

He is unable to clearly explain simple things. Jumping back and forth. Expects you to already know the concepts that are introduced further in the book. I would seriously question his teaching skills.

If your taking him, be prepared to teach yourself all of the concepts or result to a lot of tutoring. I stopped attending class after the first month because I saw it was entirely useless. He's a chill guy but NOT very good with explaining the concepts. He curves test grades by a ton!!! He added 15% to one of our midterms

Professor Luzi teaches cool/important parts of Excel but he does it in an aggravating and sometimes confusing way. Excel project is long, takes 35+ hours total. Midterm/Final weren't too bad. He passes almost all his students. I think only 5 failed out of his 3 classes. Has quizzes each week which can be tough. He likes cough drops, every class...

At first I thought he was the worst professor I ever had, but he turned out to be ok by the end of the semester. Definitely has the "you teach yourself" attitude when it comes to Excel. The project wasn't too bad; I learned a lot of neat tricks in Excel. Take him if you want to learn Excel, because the other professor teaches Access!

You have to read the book to pass the quizzes and you also need it for the midterm and the final. The excel project is really overwhelming at first, but it's not as bad once you sit down with it. Try doing it with another person or two so you can help each other along he way, it makes it a lot easier and less overwhelming.

Bad, Not helpful AT ALL, weekly quiz, ask questions that are not from the reading materials. Long project. Good: material taught in class are REALLY useful in the future. Build you a good habit with excel. Alot of extra credit. The most possible A I came close to, even I ended with a B. He is my fav accounting at CSUF right now.
