Very gifted teacher. Knows what he is talking about.
Very interesting - presents the material in an organized fashion
Go to class, take notes and study the handouts
Learn a lot; great handouts; honest testor; very fair; take him

Dr. Do is the best!!!
easiest class ever, best professor, very knowledgable
make sure you know definitions and stuff from the book

HIS LECTURE IS CONFUSING, AND HE MUMBLES A LOT!
Pretty cool, hard to understand 2nd test is hard
English is a 4th Language in this class! You will learn nothing, but get an A!
teacher is hard to understand at first, but overall is knowledgeable
Sharp Professor, nice guy, at time difficult to understand
No Comments
If you try asking questions in his office, he'll make you feel so dumb. Then half of his lectures you don't get because he goes off on tangents.
Very nice guy, lectures are not real clear, but he makes the tests easy to make up for it. Get to know him and it will pay off.
very nice guy..lectures can be confusing but overall makes tests very easy..easy A
Teaches investments in the summer, easy class but won't learn a thing unless read the book. He is unhelpful, easily irritated and always in a rush.
teacher is tough to understand, however he is very intelligent and he is a good guy overall
This is an A all the way as long as you listen to what he says.... He will tell you verbatim whats on the test
Easy A if you can teach yourself the material. I recommend reading the book and working out any problems he shows in class. Cool guy but easily irritated and always in a hurry.
Insanely hard to understand what the hell he's saying. He can ramble on all period on one tiny subject, then test you on a huge range of material. One test very easy, another very hard. Curveball.

The course is easy as long as you read the book...He's knowledgable and smart...nice but moody sometimes...unpredictable attitude
Professor Do is the BEST! He's not interested in textbook jazz, he summarizes the material for you by way of handouts. You must review all the handouts thoroughly and you will get an A. 3 tests, 30,30,40 respectively.
Very hard to understand. Doesn't teach you much. If you want to learn something you have to read on your own. Only take this class if RE isn't your major and if you just want a fairly easy A or B.
Professor Do is very knowledgeable and he makes the class easier for students. As long as you don't miss the class lectures, you will do fine since his tests will go straight from what he told you on the review sections.
Not much to say other than what everyone else wrote. Tought to understand, funny, laid back. Just come to class, take notes and you will do fine.
pretty easy tests, hard to understand but he's a nice guy. took him in summer school and he let us out way early :)
Take someone else if you want to actually learn. Do not challenge him even if your right, he prefers brown-nosers. Easy but I think he has devalued my degree by taking him.
take in summer session, pretty easy tests, hard to understand but he's a nice guy, have 5 different verion test but actually is the same test.
Extremely easy. Basically tells you exactly what to study. I took him for 2 classes and got A's, but now wish I took a harder teacher so I would've learned more. Nice guy. Lots of handouts.
Waste of time. This professor is terrible. Doesn't explain anything well. I learned everything from reading the book. It is a shame, this could have been a great class
agree with the waste of time, not why i went back to grad school, prof rambles and doesnt really care about teaching, very unorganized
Professor Do gives a lot of handouts and a study guide so his tests are pretty easy. There are a few questions from the book, but if you're happy with a B or C then don't bother to buy it.
I still don't know what this class was about. I actually feel less educated after completing it. God, why do most of the business professors suck? I really want a good education. I guarantee you won't get one from this clown. You'll pass but you won't learn anything.
Take this class if you want an easy A. No need to buy the book because you never use it, and he gives handouts for everything he tests on.

There are some really good finance professors at SDSU and Mr. Do is not one of them. I am sure he understands what he is talking about in his head, but somewhere in between his head and my head there exists a language barrier. He seems nice but I was disappointed in the class. Easy tests and short report. Read the book, yadda yadda.
don't get on this bad side or else he will pick on you. doesn't know how to teach, lecture is nothing related to the course objective. don't depend on his lecture, read the book if you want to pass. he curves really low.
Hard to understand. He prints out notes for you.
Professor Do is pretty consistant; hard to understand and doesn't teach you very much. You do not need to get a book for this class. There were 3 exams (essay, calculations), a financing report, and a couple of homework assignments.
Well no one is perfect. It's up to you. You get what you give. The most important thing at school is learn how to prepare for your future. Not just go to class and make justment on other because you don't get what you want. Obviously, you are a study machine while in school and learn as much as you could, not just from your professor, but yours
I wish there was a negative rating for clarity, Prof Do would be -100! He must have wrote the previous comment, because it is not true. If you do not have the proper tools and you have a prof like Do that creates mass confusion, it is impossible to learn. He make everything so difficult.
Hard to understand, didnt learn too much but really wants you to learn and know a little about real estate!
if i could have understood anything this guy said i would have given this class a 5 for easiness. i think he knows about the rediculous language barrier so he tries to make the class easier, but it's still almost impossible to follow this guy.
kinda hard to understand cause prof do is vietnamese but pretty basic information about finance and real estate. 3 tests, don't buy book just listen in class--he gives out notes for tests. curves tests and then again at end of class..easy b.
Say whaaat!! Cannot understand a word he says. I tried as hard as possible to follow lectures but I could not (heavy accent). Tests are very easy if you study handouts. If you are not a Real estate major and want an easy A take him. If you want something out of the class find another professor or just read the book. He is a nice man but cmon
cannot speak english. Could not identify words he wrote on board. Speaks on & on. Ppl fall asleep in class. Biased. Marks off pts w/o notifying you. Tests are easy. You dont learn useful tho, esp if you're a RE major. Shrinks font to fit more documents onto the page & then recommends you get magnifying glass. Cheap vietnamese man! Head of RE Dept.
Take this class during summer school with him. You cover about a third of the book. He feels bad no one can understand and gives a ridiculous curve to help you out! Class was not necessary, tests are straight from the book!
A hard class to stay interested in, he doesn't even like to teach it. Has**** come in and teach most of the time. Going to class is not necessary, must teach yourself the material. Only get through a few chapters because he goes on and on about ntohing. Hard to understand and not helpful at all. Office hours are a waste of time to go to
easy for summer school. doesn't require attendance. lectures about theory during class when he shows you the exam. study the book and you pass easlily. i barely went to class and pulled a B.
you know what...try somebody else if u are interested in learning. but if u have to take his class, do not worry still u can get a good grade. fin-323 and 421 covers all the concepts of this class, so u realy do not miss anything. tests are easy.
This teacher is very unclear and stresses how easy the class is, but definately don't buy into it if you want to pass with a high B or A, because its a little harder then he make it seem and he's really into how he's written papers on every subject taught in class, but definately an easy class
WOW is all i have to say!! I am a real estate major and unless you major in finance, you will be LOST! expects you to already magically know the math and concepts!! says it is "so easy"- think again- 3 tests- first is concepts and I got an A! second test is math and ...I got an F!!!!- third test is mostly concept and a little math... i got a B..
Do is an ok prof. Tests are easy . 1st test on concepts. 2nd math probs he goes over in class. 3rd concepts again. Must know how to use HP17bii+ = life will be easier. Turn in hwk for 2nd exam for extra credit. Must study the 100 RE Questions passed out in class, some Qs taken from that for 1st & 2nd Exam. Overall: All right class.
Do is a very easy professor for Investments class only in Summer. Took it for 1st 6 weeks summer session. 3 exams, 3 easy (1-2 pg.) market reports, 1 easy (1-3 pg)Stock report on company. He curves entire class, so everyone passes. He goes over what's on exam. Pass out sign-in sheet at end of each class to those stayed longer to get extra credit.
Professor Do is the man. I dont understand how some people can complain about this professor. He doesnt take attendenance, only one optional homework assignment that counts as extra credit, two midterms and a final that covers two chapters. Very enthusiastic and you can tell he loves to teach. No surprises. A man of his word.
Prof Do is a very smart man...he is kind of tough on you but thats because he wants you to learn without spoon feeding. Test overall are pretty strait forward and hes not there to trick you. Just study the material and you will be fine. 2 tests and a final and gives out extra credit for doing homework. I recomend him!
This guy's an idiot. In fact, he says that he doesn't know the material...so why the hell is he teaching it. I'm not pissed b/c he's hard (it's not) but b/c i really wanted to get something out of this class from the teacher and he doesn't teach and you can't understand anything that comes out of his mouth. Two thumbs way down.
Well,he's not the best teacher in the world. But he's not a jerk like so many others. He curves! He's human. Just read the book. Go to the class as much as u can. U'll do ok.)Nice guy.
Prof. Do wasn't a bad teacher. He curved the exams based on the highest test score, so just about everyone should have passed. I took him this summer and it was pretty easy. You do need to buy the book and read it to prepare for the exams and final. Attendance is not mandatory.
there is somewhat of a language barrier b/c of his accent. he does know his stuff when it comes to RE. tests are fair and there is no h/w. book isn't really necessary since his notes are thorough.
I was looking forward to this class and was very disappointed in the end. If you want an easy grade take this class but you will not learn much. He gives A LOT of extra credit and he grades on a HUGE curve. I can't imagine anyone getting less than a C.
Same thing everyone else says, hard to understand but lots of extra credit, but DO get the book. test questions come from the questions at the end of the chapters, so at least know them and how use your calculator. i recommend hp 10bII (especially over TI) but its up to you.
He is the best professor SDSU has. He is willy to help the students. He really cares about his students. He is very clear and easy to understand. He tells what is going to cover in the test.
best teacher ever. I look forward to going to class!! take him. don't settle for less!!!!! Best Finance teacher at SDSU. so helpful, very clear, very fun, very nice!!!!
Take him... He is amazing, he cares about the students. His class is very fun.
DO NOT TAKE THIS TEACHER!!!!!!! HIS CLASS IS RIDICULOUS! BARELY SPEAKS ENGLISH. TESTS ARE IMPOSSIBLE. DO NOT DO IT!!!! TAKE ANYONE BUT HIM! my 323 with pawar was WAYYYY easier than this guy! material isn't that hard but he makes it impossible to do well!! AVOID HIM!!
Very hard to understand, has a thick accent. Tests on what is in the textbook and not on lecture. Gave extra credit if show up to class on random days he takes role.
Taught this section for free and it shows. School got what it paid for in a pretty sorry class overall. You'll hate the book, you'll hate every minute in class, but he was flexible with grades so he's got that going for him. Otherwise this was just a pointless class. Didn't learn a thing.
Go to class because thats how you get the extra credit other than that completely pointless. Professor is truly a nice guy but not a good teacher. Nothing he does in class is relevant or shows up on the exams. You can read the entire book and still not do well. The only thing thats god about him is his extremely generous curve,
Aside from his very thick accent he rarely says anything remotely useful class. Attending is a good idea because he takes attendance at the end of most classes. Very moody and his grading policy changes daily based on how he feels. Avoid if possible. If you have to take him get there early so you have a laptop charger, going to be a long class.
Don't understand how SDSU hired him as a professor. He is awful. During class nobody is paying attention because no one understands his poor English, even when you ask him a question he has a hard time answering because he still didn't master the English language. On top of that he gets upset when you ask him questions
THIS GUY was a G, but u have to listen to his discriptions of his teast do do well. dont really have to listen to him need to read the book. one test was fill the blanks the rest wer just multiple chpoice, essays at the end are limp dic easy dont worry about them. they are on not wat he says 99 percent are on, u will understand when u ake the class
Do is a terrible teacher, I just felt like I was wasting my time and money while I was in class because his accent is that bad. You have to go to class b/c he gives pop quizzes and takes attendance sometimes. He goes off on useless tangents about himself, his gambling problems and life in the Vietnamese jungle. Just read the book for an A.
Real Rating (Up to date): HORRIBLE! DO NOT TAKE HIM AT ANY EXPENSE. Not only is he difficult, the class is virtually useless. You learn nothing, your grade suffers, and he does not help you at all, and I MEAN IT. Office hours....you'll be lucky to talk to him for 5 seconds before he chews you out. No joke the worst! Ask anyone who had him
My class just got our grades and let me tell you this guy screwed everyone. Not only is he a bad professor but he has no patience to listen to anyone. Do not take him. You will learn nothing. Not only is he hard and unfair, but you learn only 10% of what you should learn and he complicates everything. Not worth being a real estate major.
WORST! HORRIBLE! Careless, stubborn professor with tenure. Warning!!! It is worth changing your major. He teaches every real estate class and he is your worst nightmare..no joke. Ask anyone who had him for any class. Do not take him at all costs. Not only is he a tough, careless grader but you don't learn anything.
WORST TEACHER I HAVE EVER HAD!! He does not care about his students. His office hours are a joke, he will NOT help you. He is rude, stubborn, and can't teach. Don't expect to learn anything during lectures. I don't know how this guy still has a job, SDSU needs to get rid of him ASAP. He's ruining the real estate department!
Andy has the knowledge but can not teach it. Self teach yourself, he can clarify if you ask but that is all.
Missed the drop date, and now I'm stuck with this guy. HARD CLASS! BAD FOR GPA! No joke. Not even helpful. If your looking for a class that HARD, useless, and won't learn even half of what your supposed to then take him.
VERY MOODY, TERRIBLE accent, should not be teaching real estate (SDSU: GET RID OF HIM). Tenure or no tenure, GET RID OF HIM!!! It is clear he has never worked outside of academia. Very smart, but terrible communicator, and no PRACTICAL or real world insight relating to RE. Tests are riddled with misspelled words and extremely ambiguous questions...
Had this professor for Fin. 331 and 431. Material was complicated and some of the problems were confusing. Professor Do is knowledgeable and clarified some things in his office. I worked consistently with a tutor Professor Do recommended named Adam, and he helped me a lot.
BEWARE!!...Hard exams, no clarity, failure to communicate, dreading class (mandatory attendance)... The typical person would be miserable in this class. Ask anyone who has taken DO for any class. You will learn almost nothing from him but will end up teaching yourself everything and will hate going to his class..any good ratings are by him!!!!!
Worst Professor at SDSU! He really ruins the Real Estate Dept. I can't believe this guy still has a job, i heard they've been trying to fire him for years. He flat out CAN'T communicate with anyone. Listening to his lectures will actually make you more confused on the subject then if you read out of the textbook. SDSU, please get rid of him!!!
Easy subject but very hard professor. Do is helpful and intelligent but does not have a lot of practical experience. His term paper is too time consuming and only counts 10%. Overall, Do is above average.
Welcome to "Teach it Yourself" Finance. Test questions are from the book and says what will be on the test, but come test time there is always a surprise. Very impatient. If you don't know the answer, he humiliates you in front of the whole class. In class exercises are useless b/c he just gives the answer with no explanation of the process.
A lot of studying, not sure anyone else teaching this is any easier. Professor Do knows finance, listen and learn.
I almost didn't take him bc of the reviews. Really glad I did! He's a totally reasonable teacher. He really cares about his students. Some students unfort. took advantage of that. 3 exams. Curved. Attendance good for points. He's really funny! But seriously, you gotta rely on bb notes and the book. For those that hate: chill out, it could be worse.
Hard to undestand at times but overall good! He is an average professor but is very knowlegeable and is very helpful. Donot ask him the same repeated questions especially on how to do the the same calculation on the calculator. He will lecture you on how to learn it and it is your responsibility to learn the calculator.
In my entire college career, this has been by far the worst teacher I have ever had. He yells at students for asking questions despite the fact that it is very hard to understand him. He supplies incomplete notes (the ones he shows in class are not the same as he posts on BB) and then says all answers are in notes. DO NOT TAKE HIM!
Reading the book is a MUST, given you will not understand anything in class.(due to his accent but mainly because he does not TEACH well.) Just rambles. If you dont have the same calculator as him, he will not offer help. (you will use financial calc for 75% of his class) Does not like to help. He gets angry when you ask questions or for clarity.
Make sure you actually attend class to get the participation points on the random quizzes he gives out. They're worth 10% of your grade. I would've passed the class with a D if I didn't skip so much. GOOD LUCK, seriously.
It's true, he's a horrible teacher but at least the tests come straight from the book and not the lectures. You will have to teach yourself by reading the book and searching online. I've had worst professors at SDSU.....
since the HP 12C calculator is mandatory, I have my post up on craigslist! (mira mesa)
I got a B+ in his class (I thought I was getting a C but he gives a pretty big curve!). Attendance is 25% of your grade, and 3 tests 25% each, no final, no homework. The exams are hard and he's not a great teacher, however he makes up for it by giving half of the class A's and B's and the other half gets C's with a couple exceptions of course.
Here are some of my tips:don't skip class (you don't know when he gives you the quizzes), print out his lecture on BB, pay attention to what he said which subject will be in the exam, make sure you have HP12C calculator, go over the calculations in class(80% of the similar problem will be in your exams), study from textbook for non-calculation prob
good professor, quite intelligent but only average communication skill. too many quizzes so do not miss his class. excellent with math and equation which may be overwhelmed for an intro investment class. overall, you do learn alot from him. he is one of my favorite teacher and i found him to be very helpful and friendly. good professor!
Smart man, but very unlikeable. Talks a lot on his values & not Finance. About 35% of class time is wasted because he talks about chemistry, the importance of studying, & his background. Ask him a question, & he will answer in a snarky, condescending manner. Lacks respect for students at times. Read the book & teach yourself. He just reads slides.
He only talks about the nitty gritty of finance but does not do problems with you in class. He assumes everyone knows the material. You do not see your grade until the end of the semester. He wanted to make this class more intense then the semester before so he quadrupled the work load with many papers and hw. He is very general when he lectures.
This is not an easy class, and there is tons of assignments and two major projects. He's a good professor and a good guy. Must read all the lecture notes and prepare for the exams. If you don't get something he will explain it again or can go to his office hours. However, not an easy. You will earn your grade. Senior level class!!! HELLO
Get the book, because it will be the only thing that you're learning from. The professor doesn't teach and his notes in lecture are different from notes he posts on BB. He always say you need to learn these important things in Finance, but never teaches them. He expects an intro class to know the materials already and looks down upon the students.
DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS (easy A's - but you won't understand a word he says)
TAKE HIM He is the worst teacher, doesn't speak English well and is very rude to students who ask questions BUT he curved the entire class so much it's impossible to get a low grade Make sure to attend EVERY class for an easy 100 participation points and learn alllllll math and calculator work from YouTube (he doesn't teach it at all)
Grade is: 3 tests, and participation (just show up). He offers extra credit for every test. Overall, Do means well. He is a nice guy but don't question him or he will stop lecture to go on a tangent. He "tries" to teach the info to the class but it doesn't really help. He does tell you exactly what will be on the tests and gives a HUGE curve.
Kind-hearted man. Can be a stereotypical old man and disrespectful towards students from time to time and has a heavy Vietnamese accent. Attendance is 25% (!) of your grade. Pop quizzes are for attendance purposes, you always get full credit if there. Big Curve. Easy just show up Need this class for anything other than a finance major? Take him.
Very rude aged man, I was receiving A grade till the end of the semester but with Attendance and participation he lowered me to B+.
Was rude, unhelpful and unclear with what he wanted on tests. Big curve at the end will help your grade but tests were still tricky. Try to avoid.
He is not clear at all on what will be on the exam, and if anyone dares to ask expect to get belittled. Does not review for exams so don't even ask and does not provide any study guides. The only good thing is the very generous curve. Oh and you will never understand him no matter how hard you try. Make sure you go to every class its 25%.
He is Kind but not clear. I had to study and understand the concepts on my own before class lecture, he makes the materials very hard to understand while it's very simple. Don't take his class if you want to learn the materials. He tells you what will be on the exam. there will be one extra credit. Attending is 25% of your grade.
He is a nice teacher. His requirements are very simple. No essays. No presentation. Just focus on his handouts. Although he has a Vietnamese acent, I am very sympathy with that. He has a broad and deep knowledge. If you don't like essays and presentation, I recommend you should take his class :-)
Was rude, unhelpful and unclear with what he wanted on tests. Big curve at the end will help your grade but tests were still tricky. Try to avoid
He does not listen, communicate, and explain things to students. Lectures are confusing. Tests are not cumulative. Test 1: conceptual test bank. Test 2: case study same with the case he gives in class (change numbers). Test 3: little difficult, but closely similar to the examples he gives in class do the examples well and you can ace the test
As a finance major, I feel like I got short handed because the other classes learned much more. I hardly studied and showed up to every class. Just get on his good side and do not miss any classes you will get a b or a. The curve is HUGE, but I didn't learn very much.
Knowledgeable guy but difficult exams. You will learn a lot from him if you can follow his not so well organized lectures. I however like him.
First ever review of a professor and it is to warn of taking his class. He has a very strong Vietnamese accent and even though I'm Vietnamese myself, I cannot understand him at all. I don't know what is expected and he expects us to just know. If we ask a question, he belittles us in front of everyone. Don't take unless you have only 9 units.
Professor Do is very knowledgeable when it comes to finance. Beware: his exams only have 15 questions at the max so every question counts a lot. I had to go to A+ review to really understand the matter and get A's on my test. Do is knowledgeable but doesn't take the time to baby you through, he expects his students to KNOW things already.
The Professor wants you to ask questions, but when you do he answers with another question. He does one or two examples in class and expects that your a master on the topic. If you are good at teaching yourself how to solve word/ math problems then this class could be an easy A. His tests are only 15 questions long the wording is iffy.
Early on he had a mistake in the syllabus, where he allowed the purchase of the e-text but forbid the use of electronics in his class, while requiring you to have the text every class. Knowledgeable, frequently off topic tangents (about stock market granted, but usually off the chapter topic, SOMETIME would relate) gets frustrated with any question
The professor is knowledgeable and is very helpful however he expects us to be also knowledgeable and is quite difficult to understand at times. Do not miss too many classes. I found him to be friendly and helpful.
Professor Do really cares about his students and wants them to succeed. He gets really upset when students cannot answer his questions and I feel like I really didn't learn anything overall. I would take this class if you just want an easy grade and don't really want to learn anything. Nice guy, just didn't learn much.
Lectures were long and boring. Pay attention and don't ask questions or he'll put you on spot if the material was already covered previously. More like sit in the back so you wont get called on and look like a fool. Gives extra credit, tests are short and gives pop quizzes almost every class. Oh and calculator is a must.
DO is a smart guy who understands the subject, he posts everything on BB so if you can't follow along in class than you can go back and look through his lectures. His tests are pretty straight forward with the examples he goes over in class. Attendance is taken once a week randomly and its a big part of your grade. Super short tests, with xtra cred
3 tests are 75% of grade & 25% is showing up and doing the quizzes which he pretty much gives you the answers to. He is knowledgeable but isn't a very good teacher. He's pretty rude & will call you out & make you look stupid in front of the whole class. His tests have huge curves but are a little difficult from the way he worded them. Easy to pass.
Don't miss class because there are "quizzes" and in-class problems that count for like 25% of your grade. As far as how he teaches, he's OK. He'll call you out, but he's a good guy. He wants to see his students succeed. If you want to do well on the exams, PAY ATTENTION to the problems he gives in class. Average - not hard, but not easy.
It's a love and hate relationship with him, mostly love i promise! Very heavy accent makes it hard to understand, but as long as you follow the lectures on blackboard you will be fine. Test are 15 questions, book will only be needed for hw and he is willing to let you take pictures of his, he gets mad easily but only if you are rude.
God, where do you start with Do. He is the most discouraging professor to ever have. I question whether he has any actual qualifications to lecture on the topic of real estate. His data is from over a decade ago. He rambles about theoretical frameworks that have no place in the world of real estate. Really a poor reflection of the program. Shame.
The first two tests are really easy. The final is way harder. He is knowledgeable about finance but is not very good at teaching. What makes up for that is that he gives lots of examples on his lecture notes that he posts on blackboard. Gives a quiz every class and they count for 25% of your grade. He tells you what problems/topics are on the exams
Do is probably your worst option for 323. People who took Blum had a much easier time. Participation is 25% of grade, he gives extra credit on the tests and there is a pretty decent curve.
Professor Do is an awesome professor and I really enjoyed his lectures. I enjoyed the fact that he called people out in class in order to engage the students and to make sure that they actually read the content before class. I would definitely take his class again.
English is not very good. Its difficult to understand what he is saying when trying to explain mathematical concepts. Lecture bounces all over the place, you will hear about his gambling problem and his ventures in real estate. Will use every minute of lecture time in the process as well. Overall, a poor learning experience.
Is rude, tells people who failed the tests that they should "get ready to flip burgers at McDonald's." Gets angry without reason, and will embaress anyone when he has the chance. His lectures make no sense, no structure and he does not show us how to use formulas etc.
Professor Do honestly finds a true passion in teaching & in math; however, he is VERY hard to understand at all. He goes on a bunch of rants and gets distracted all the time. 100% of the time youll be teaching yourself the material. He CURVES a lot and will give you the formulas needed on the exam. Hard professor, semi easy exams if you understand
This class had a lot of potential: Only 3 tests, xtra credit offered, pop quizzes can be done in groups, decent curve on tests. HOWEVER, he doesn't teach! Lectures are long and hard to follow. You'll end up teaching yourself the material, and it's not an easy subject. Felt lost all semester. Finance calc a must. Don't take him.
Teaching style is very confusing. You will most likely have to teach yourself the material. Textbook really helps. 3 Exams and In-class quizzes. 3 Exams aren't too bad due to the curve. In-class quizzes so you have to come to class if you want the extra points. Take him if you HAVE to.
Do is intelligent but he expects to be able to tell you an equation once and have you understand it. You have to self-teach yourself everything. If you ask him a question he will tell you to go home and learn it from the book. Tests are hard, only 15 questions. Quiz everyday, can talk to people during it and it counts for attendance points.
The tests are not that hard, read her lectures and pay attention to the quiz problems (there would be in the tests). His lectures might be monotone but he has good intentions on teaching. Just pay attention, you would pass.
My major is finance and I would have preferred another professor. He is very knowledgeable but hard to follow. I recommend to print the lecture notes and follow them as he lectures. Quizzes (you can do them with friends) are in the tests so make sure to study them. He tells you what will be in the tests so that helps in passing the class.
Andy Do is an excellent prof! very smart and well rounded. knows the material well and is helpful if needed, even compassionate. His accent is thick but easy to understand if you pay attention. anyone who says otherwise didnt do well in the class. Bring your fin calc every class, he values honesty, alertness, and promptness. Easy in class quizzes
Easy A if you never miss a class, read books and practice a lot; otherwise don't expect this class to be easy. Very nice guy, just acting like he's tough but actually cares about his students. participate is 25% so don't miss class. He gives quizzes every class but as long as you show your work, you get credit. Exams are a lot easier than expected.
You must go to class, takes role with his quizzes he gives just about every class. He honestly doesn't teach you much but gives you the requisite materials to make you successful in his class. He curves his tests and he is a caring professor, definitely underrated.
Avoid this teacher. He is not clear on grading, quizzes, and exams. Also, if you really want to learn about Finance avoid this class. You won't learn much.
Finance majors should not take Do. Go to class and ride the big curve and you will pass but you will not learn anything. He tells you what is on the exam and still there is a big curve. He is bad at explaining. When he is asked a question he says go read the book.
I knew that Do was a terrible professor and likely the worst I have ever had, but it hasn't really hit me until now. I am currently taking a BA 405 quiz (a capstone course) which is testing me on my finance knowledge. I am realizing that I know absolutely nothing about finance. I hope he retires or he gets fired. Rude man, bad professor
Never once during my 3 years at SDSU have I experienced someone as disorganized as Do. He is the only professor I've ever had that doesn't even have his syllabus on Blackboard. He is very difficult to understand and provides no clear guidelines on what he is looking for on assignments. By far the worst professor I've ever had.
Do has a good heart, but he is not a good teacher. gets mad when you can't calculate things in your head. You will always be confused on everything. 3 Exams (15 ? each) are straight forward if you go to class. If you don't go to class you will be so lost. 2 ECs but its a ridiculous amount of problems. Doesn't post grades so no clue what grade is.
Mr. Do is underrated. Yes his english is terrible but if you're a respectful student that tries and shows up to class you'll do fine. He is awkward and you might think hes mad at the class but hes not actually. Have your financial calculator at all times and learn how to use that thing to make your life easy!
Do's lectures are boring and his English isn't great but he is a great professor. He tries to help out student by offering EC on the second and third exam. Show up to class and do the quizzes/ assignments & get a 100% on 25% of your grade. The 3 exams are about 15 Q's so you can miss more than like 2 to get a solid great, go to A+ & youll be fine
Do's class was hilarious at first, but eventually I really just wanted to learn finance without the extra stuff. He is a funny, old man with a heavy Vietnamese accent. He likes to hear himself talk and enjoys cracking jokes, but does a subpar job of actually conveying the lessons. I pretty much self taught myself everything. No absences either!
Don't skip class, make sure you take notes of the problems given on his quizzes--he lets you work in groups. I have no idea what I learned in his class but I earned a B because I showed up, did all the work, and made sure my name and face were known to him. His lectures are pointless and he goes on way too many tangents.
If finance is not your major, then Do is the best one. You wont understand anything, but there is no home only whatever its done in class. He give three test, and he provides a study guide, he literally tells what the exam questions will be.
He puts up slides on how to do the work, but doesn't explain how he did it. You have to look at the slides at home and figure it out yourself. Two exams 15 questions each and the final. Quizzes can be done alone or in group. He doesn't have a syllabus so you can't study ahead. If you ask a question in class he will embarrass you for asking.
He tells you what will be on exams. No homework. He spends more time complaining about how students forget the material, than actually teaching the material. He wastes time going on tangents about irrelevant topics, like Hooters & his wife, and goes too fast when actually teaching. Don't take him. You won't learn anything. Cool guy, bad prof
He goes through lectures fast. He expects you to understand material that he went over once or twice. There's lecture notes for you to study. He uses the HP 12C calculator for solving problems and can't help anyone who has a different calculator. Do the extra credit and go to A+ because they will help you out.
Unfortunately Prof. Do is the probably the worst teacher I have had throughout all of my education. He starts off being funny and like-able but three months of not learning a single thing he starts to drive you crazy. He doesn't teach anything in his classes, just goes on tangents about politics and how his students disappoint him. Do not take him!
By far the worst teacher I've ever had in my entire academic career. He asks the class confusing questions about things he's mentioned ONCE and will embarrass you for not knowing the answer or if you ask a question for clarity. Spends his time telling the class how disappointed he is in us, but never fully explains concepts. Horrible.
Listen. Hes a terrible teacher and youll learn nothing, but if you want to an easy A and dont care then take him. Go to class, and go to a plus and study those packets. Thats literally all I did and I gotten 100% on every test. His material IS NOT ENOUGH ON ITS OWN. YOU NEED A PLUS. But if you go to a plus your set for a B+ at least
The worst teacher I've ever had. Makes students feel terrible for not knowing an answer that he did not teach. Kept saying he was "profoundly disappointed" in us when we are not finance majors. Would also single out students and make them feel bad even if they tried to answer a question. Terrible environment to learn. Don't do it.
just great
Hard accent. GREAT PROFESSOR. I don't understand the bad ratings to be honest. He cares for students and their learning, although he is not the best at explaining. But at least he tries. The tests are easy! He tells you what will be on the test and is fair on grading, the test questions are straightforward, no trick questions. take him honestly.
Goes on random tangents about his life. Very difficult to understand what he's saying let alone teaching. Midterms and final are 14 questions. My only recommendations are to do the extra credit (10% boost on the test), show up to class, try not to get called on (yelled at), and try to find a study group to suffer with through the semester.
English isn't his first language, but he's pretty easy to understand. He only announces quizzes and homework in class, so you need to be present. He provides detailed lecture notes, if you read those and understand them, the material isn't that difficult. He'll tell you exactly what's on the exams. Overall a nice guy who's willing to help you.
He tries his best to teach u and help u to get a good grade. There are 3 exams just 14 questions. Extra credit available And it can boost your grade up to 10%. No homework. For the exams just work on the examples that he gives u in class. What I love most about him is unlike other professors, he is not politically correct and he just tell truth.
Do is the best choice for a BA-323 professor at state. While he may not be the best teacher, and is hard to understand, the class itself is very easy and Do can make it somewhat interesting/funny at times. Hard to learn from his teaching because he simply isn't that good at explaining, so go to A+ and you're guaranteed an A.
Although Professor Do is a horrible professor, his class is by far the easiest of all FIN 323 courses. You must go to class as he gives quizzes or in class assignments as a form of your "homework" grade. He is extremely foreign and understanding him is difficult, however; I believe he does have a good heart. He is very irritable but 5/10 class.
Amazing professor. Professor Do revitalized my love for finance. Truly an inspiring individual with an impressive intellect.
Andrew Do is filled with good wisdom and life lessons. He will not answer questions when you ask them (in fact he will mock you), but will still encourage you to ask questions. Makes a point of being mean to students. Tests are really hard. Concepts in lectures are simple, and then the tests are extremely difficult. Heavy accent.
Heavy accent & very rude. Encourages students to ask questions but at the same time is extremely condescending and might not even answer your questions. Loves to lecture and talk about finance but refuses to explain/break down equations. Expects you to know the material from previous classes. Take someone else if possible!
You will think you are in worse shape than the grade you will get at the end of the semester. But you will pass if you do the extra credit assignments. Try and make friends with classmates. His heavy accent makes it easy to zone out during lectures. Be sure to show up every class because the pop quizzes are graded on the attempt which's 25%ofgrade
Prof Do has a heavy accent and that's why a lot of people give him bad ratings, as a person he is really not that bad. Definitely will have to go to A+ to get a decent grade on exams. With A+ you're basically guaranteed a B at least in the class. Getting through lectures was awful (so definitely do the twice a week sessions) but very doable.
The class itself is already very difficult. He makes it harder by not actually lecturing in class (he goes off on political tangents), and his tests are extremely difficult. If you want at least a B, you HAVE to go to Aplus Review. They really teach you the material . You have to go to every class for the 25% participation. He just sucks.
Here's the thing. I didn't listen to a single one of his posted lectures. I mean they suck, but thank god for APLUS review and more specifically Walter. If you are a finance major plan on getting to know Walter, not kidding he has taught me more then any teacher at state. If you take the class plan on going to APLUS review if you want to pass.
I thought taking him would be fine because all these reviews said if you go to A+ you will be fine. It was not fine. A+ did not help at all. I guess Do changed his tests once we went all online? Because A+ had no idea what the hell was on his tests. DO NOT TAKE HIM, HE IS NOT HELPFUL, A PLUS IS NOT HELPFUL.
This professor does not care about his students at all. You will learn absolutely nothing and get no help from the professor. I'm not afraid to work hard to do well in a class but this class is absolutely terrible and you'll be better served taking it with someone else
if you wanna pass, DO NOT take this class. Prof Do is very smart but you cannot understand a word he says. he does not explain things well and re-uses zoom recordings from past classes. on top of that, exams are incredibly hard and he is rarely available for help. unhelpful, unprofessional, and A+ does not work for his class anymore.
This guy is no doubt very smart, but whatever you do, do NOT take him whatsoever. All he does this semester is dump 10 pre-recorded lectures on us (old ones too) and then gives us an exam that is so unnecessarily hard, complicated, and unclear. rinse and repeat 3 times and then that's it. He doesn't care at all. Do NOT take him. A-plus doesn't help
Professor Do is the epitome of a tenured professor. The entire class grade is determined by 3 tests and nothing else. His lectures are word docs that he narrates over. His exams mix up content from his other finance classes. For our class, he also changed the day the course was to be taken!
Dude is a terrible teacher, refuses to answer questions during the meetings, and the lectures he gives are terrible. How does one talk about having a math degree for 10 minutes on a 50 minute lecture? Expect another complaint this semester if you're reading this Do.
His pre-recorded lectures are terrible due to the fact that he's difficult to understand and fails to emphasize important topics for the test. I feel very unprepared despite watching all of his recycled lectures. Also, the entire grade is based on 3 tests. Lastly, he has not made any effort to be friendly or make himself available. He's a joke.
This might have been the worst class I have ever taken in my life. Avoid this professor at all costs. Whole grade is based off of only three exams that are impossible. Does not make himself available to students. No live lectures. All pre recorded that are extremely hard to understand and learn from.
You are only graded on 3 things. There are no live lectures. I taught myself everything because his outdated recorded lectures are useless (hard to understand + no clear material is communicated for tests). This is the worst class I have ever taken. He s getting paid by the university to answer an occasional email, it's completely wrong. STAY AWAY.
Used to be an easy professor but made the class unreasonably hard for virtual learning. He is a poor test writer and sometimes forgets to put the correct solution as an answer. Go to A+ and bet on the curve cause you'll need it. Lecture videos are worthless and good luck deciphering his Word Document "lectures".
He is the WORST professor I have ever had and should not be allowed to teach. His lectures do not prepare you for exams, they are difficult to understand and the transcripts come out as gibberish due to his thick accent. Furthermore, he often gets answers wrong on his OWN EXAMS but will belittle you if you dare reach out. A PLUS ReviewOnly hope.
You will learn nothing from the professor. You are graded on 3 exams. His syllabus says he "might" curve the class. His recorded lectures are long and worthless. Do yourself a favor and try a different professor.
As a straight A student, this class was by far the worst class I have ever taken. Tests are unreasonable, not enough time, and disappointing. Lectures are useless. Had to learn the concepts entirely on my own. Professor's been absent all semester. The only people doing decent cheat. So SDSU, unless you promote cheating, you need to do better.
I sarcastically chose "participation matters" because professor Do did not once participate this entire semester. As you can read from the other reviews, he didn't have live lectures. His notes are useless, they don't matter because the test questions are different. He gives practice problems, but they're easy, and good luck finding them. DONT TAKE
God Awful professor, he didn't teach anything this semester. Thank God for A+ review. They're the only reason that I ended up passing with a B.
The worst professor! You are graded on 3 exams. You fail one exam, the highest grade you can get is a low B. You get 60 minutes to do 30 Questions. Each question takes about 2.5 to 3 min to complete. So you basically have to guess on 5-8 questions each exam. His lectures suck and you cant understand him. I have a 3.8 GPA and struggled with this.
Do does not care about his students or their success. He purposefully tanked the grade average with the second test by making all of the answers "None of the above". If you have to take Do, don't watch or read any lectures. Save yourself some time and sanity and go to A+. He also pulls material from his other classes and dumps it on his students.
The worst, tenured professor I've ever taken. You basically teach yourself since his lectures aren't helpful. I literally didn't learn anything. No homework, so your entire grade is based on just 3 exams (30 questions for one hour). There's no proctoring but the exams were so confusing. Take someone else. I'm usually an A student but not this time
Trust the ratings. The only way to succeed in this class is either by cheating (great job SDSU!) or pray to baby Jesus that he curves. Do not take his class under any circumstance!
Don't take this professor. He sets the class up to fail. It's such a disappointment because the material is interesting and useful but you have to teach it to yourself. Emailed Professor for help and was told that he has too many students to help me. This class has definitely made me re-think my path with SDSU. DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR!!!
Terrible Professor. Came into this online class with a 4.0, watched his lectures, read the book, and even went to A+review, I really do know this material but currently I have a C. Don't think it is possible to get an A in this class, his tests are poorly worded and he doesn't show you what you get wrong (how can you learn to get better?)
Yeah so Mr. Do here is doesnt do anything doesnt teach you the lectures are all from 6 years ago. Dont even bother looking at them. I had to be on an airplane during the time period of one of the test dude wouldnt let me take it two days early cause I didnt let him know in August how am I supposed to know what Im doing in December.
Professor does nothing but send rude emails. Lectures are prerecorded from years ago and are no help. Tests are impossible. Whole grade is based off of 3 exams. This class is a prereq for most FIN classes, yet I'm ending the semester knowing absolutely nothing and will be behind in my next finance classes. DO NOT TAKE IF YOU'RE A FINANCE MAJOR
Worst professor I've ever had, and the only class I've ever had to go to tutoring for. Incoherent, and uses broken English on test problems, which causes confusion. Grade is determined entirely by 3 tests. He recommends using an HP12C, don't buy this. Any other calculator ever made is a better choice.
No disrespect, but I cannot understand him given his heavy accent. You MUST attend A+ review, but even with that, everyone fails his exams. This speaks volumes for his teaching abilities and the poor learning his students are getting. It is a shame because this course is so important for finance majors.
He has a very hard to understand accent. He said that attendance wasn't mandatory then got mad when no one was showing up and took down his lecture videos which were the only actually informative thing in this class. He'll randomly go on political rants instead of teaching. I am a straight A student and found this class impossible without tutoring.
DO NOT TAKE Prof. Do's BA323 Lectures are hard to follow and hardly helpful, gives you all the course material and basically tells you to teach yourself. Had a difficult time matching lecture notes to the sample problems he provides. Entire grade based on 3 difficult exams. Highly recommend tutor to pass, makes a lot of inappropriate comments.
Do is nuts, grade is based on 3 tests. You might think that's fair, but his lectures make no sense. Tests don't align with lectures, nor do they make sense. Class averages on tests are usually a D at absolute best. Only way to pass is with the curve...not even sure how this guy can call himself a "professor"
DO NOT TAKE HIS LECTURE. There is nothing we can learn from his lectures. Waste of tuition. I really don't understand why he has a class for international students. Terrible professor ever and forever. If you want to take FIN327, you should take regular one.
Horrible teacher, 3 tests worth the entire grade. Half way through the semester decided he was going to do in class quizzes for extra credit. Curves, but does not teach a single thing in class.
He's definitely bad yes, but he can be manageable. If you show up to his class and prioritize the course you have a better chance of doing well. Try to participate and he will help you out if he knows you're putting in some effort. Nonetheless, try to avoid him, he makes fun of students for asking questions and doesn't teach well.
I understand taking on challenging courses willingly, but yooooo! Professor Do is unreal. It was such a traumatic experience taking his course that I nearly thought I was the problem. Is there, like, a post-Do emotional support group out there? lol
Do is so terrible at teaching that new/repeat students would rather remain hopeful to get through the waitlist of the same course with other professors. Could SDSU please provide a Realistic Residency Preview! It would have been great to know ahead of time that the only professor ever without a waitlist is Do. Worst thing ever for finance majors!
Textbook + Do's Lectures = Confusion. Probably better without the lectures. If you like being in the clouds all the time, this class is the perfect match for you. You can get stuck, lost up there with Do all you want. Taking a chance at his course is the biggest regret I have ever made in the entirety of my academic life!
I understand valuing more inclusiveness at SDSU, but professor Do is an exception. His confusing lectures and handouts are detrimental to student success, learning outcomes... students have already dropped out of his summer class
He's extremely difficult to understand and his recorded lectures didn't help when studying for the exams. All the exams for the summer class were generated by the textbook company.
His Test are very simple and straight forward. 30 Questions, 1 HR, Multiple Choice. Just read the book and go on Quizlet. That is your best friend. There is a HUGE Curve at the end of the course. Class is only 3 Exams, No HW, No Projects. Very Easy. His lectures suck so you have to teach yourself. Put in 1HR each week and you will pass the class.
Worst professor at SDSU. 3 exams and thats it. No HW. No extra Credit. Nothing. Also the exams have typos and errors. Do not take this professor if you actually want to learn this material. 0/10
The online class consisted of 3 exams. That's it. It's tough to understand the concepts since you basically have to teach yourself. If you miss any of the exams you're in trouble, as you can't retake them. He was pretty rude in his first zoom meeting too. Find someone else if you can.
he useless, he doesn't know how to teach his students. most of his lecture are from 7 years ago, most of the exams are rely on quizlet and chegg, the reason why i end it up with a C because i screw up the first exam because i want to attend a padre game against Chicago white sox, want an easy grade take him
As an incoming transfer student, Professor Do was the last available option for the course. I took his asynchronous class. From the beginning of the course, you have access to his readings and lectures, which were hard to understand. The grade is based on 3 exams. I would not have passed without tutoring and review workshops.
There's nothing to learn as his lecture videos were from past semesters he wants u to use an old and outdated calculator from the 1970s. To get thru this go to a+ review to learn how to pass his exams. The first 2 exams are hard but DO NOT RELY ON Chegg for the 3rd exam as he heavily edited to be more difficult. A+ will help u on the 3rd exam.
Beware transfer students - If you have to take Andrew Do because it's your only option I suggest that you take another class that fits your graduation requirements. Everything you hear about him is true, and I honestly wish I was given the advice I am providing. SKIP AT ALL COSTS!
Little tyrant. Prepare to hear about politics half the lecture. Feels like he hates the world.
wish i had enrolled in something else and waited for different professor. Attitude and teaching wise this man is the worst. disregards student concerns and blames the entire class failing on us "not trying" instead of his inadequate teaching. 3 exams, no cheat sheet, gives no equations on exam or study guide, 15 questions and each test is worth 30%
worst professor at SDSU. doesnt care about students performance, wants students to fail so he makes more money off of them re taking courses. grade based on 3 exams, and he doesnt let you look over them or know your grades. Man is teaching from when the dinosaurs were alive. DO NOT TAKE DO EVEN IF U NEED THIS CLASS!!!!
Refused to add me to his course before the add/drop deadline after I explained to him there were registration issues out of my control and I needed the course to graduate. There were 7 open seats. Probably should learn to stop ruining other people's lives just because he is upset with his.
Worst professor ever at SDSU. Made up everyone's final grades based on his opinion. He can't speak English properly and spends his classes talking about how much everyone hates him, how many degrees he has, and about his experience as a Vietnamese refugee in the US. Do not take him no matter what. Exams don't relate to material. Knows he has tenure
Avoid Do at all costs. Exams are extremely difficult to read & understand & are not based off of the material covered in class. He made up the end of semester grades. Spends most of his time ranting about his experience as a refugee and all his degrees but he doesn't know how to teach. Material is much harder than it should be for an intro class.
He is very lecture heavy and your overall grade will be combined off of three tests. He is a nice professor but keep in mind, there are no quizzes/assignments.
Worst professor at SDSU hands down. You get to listen to him rant throughout all his lectures but be prepared to also struggle trying to interpret what he's even saying.
What an awful professor. Surprised SDSU still gives him a platform to be on. Incompetence at its finest. What a major mistake as a transfer student giving him the benefit of the doubt. Finance majors STAY OUT and everyone else STAY OUT. Don't ever give him the time of day since he hates his students. Unacceptable teaching. He needs to be fired.
Probably one of the worst professors ever! His class consists of 3 exams that are weighted equally. So if you mess up on one exam it will drag you grade down drastically. The exam are unnecessarly hard and his questions are made to trick you!! I barely passed his class and would definetly not take his class again!!!!
He is a tough professor and his exams are challenging but he was great this past fall semester. He is caring and willing to help.
Professor barely speaks English. There's no homework and lectures are based off disorganized text documents which are irrelevant to exams. Grade based on 3 exams given from WRONG classes. Our final was based on real estate finance, all questions were on inflation based mortgages which had nothing to do with 323. Everyone failed then he dropped it
Took Do Fall 23. Only take this class if it's online. No lockdown or respondous. A Plus is mandatory to pass the class. Class consist of 3 Exams. He had recorded lectures that weren't helpful. 30 questions 1 hour for exams, was on a time crunch/all math. Prob won't happen again but for our final exam he gave us the wrong exam. He dropped it. Curves
Online class comprised of pre-covid recorded lectures and three exams that make up your grade. You can learn from the lectures, but without homework/projects/discussions it's almost impossible to commit the content to memory for the exams. They're 1 hour w/ 30 questions. Passable with review or A+. Prof curves a lot, but don't recommend.
Will rant for sometimes entire lectures about the most off the wall things, then berate students during exams for asking questions that "even a kindergartener can do." For how many "credentials" this man has, I'm amazed at how he can barely teach. If you like having to go through other sources just to pass the exams, you'll love him.
3 exams, no homework. He prefers you come to class gives you things to turn in on piece of paper to account for attendance. Political rants for whole lecture." go home and learn it". Be prepared to teach yourself all of it. Extremely stressful class.
This teacher is the worst I've ever had. He regularly berates students for asking questions and gets very angry when you answer wrong in class. He's mean and rude, with a thick accent that makes him hard to understand. His tests are difficult, with poor grammar, and intentionally confusing wording.
Only choose this professor if you have no other options, even then i'd consider waiting another semester to get any other professor at all. While taking the class online he told us on the very first day to buzz off and go learn the material ourselves and only attend zoom meetings if we had "questions" only to belittle students for doing just that.
Professor Do is one of the most caring and understanding teachers at SDSU. For those who have written negative reviews about him are dead wrong. If you reach out to him he responds quickly, with compassion, and thoughtfulness. Professor Do's exam are challenging and they should be if you're serious about learning. I would take him if you can!
This professor runs a tough but manageable class. While the lectures can be dry, engaging with the provided materials and using tools like unstuckstudy ai for practice can help you succeed. Attend class, stay focused, and you'll get through the 3 exams.
I would NOT recommend this professor to anyone at all! He is tenured I believe and pretty much does whatever he wants since he can't really be fired I guess. I couldn't understand a single thing he said during his recorded lectures. I took an outside tutoring service to pass the class, otherwise I would have failed. DO NOT take his class.
A lot of the reviews are exaggerated or written by students who didn't show up to class. I've taken him for 323 and 327 and had a great experience. His classes prepare you well for other higher level finance courses. He tells you exactly what'll be on the exams. Just review the lecture notes, do the problems, learn, and succeed in the course.
Being an online only class, with 0 homework and only 3 exams, I expected that I had to teach myself finance. Exams are through Canvas, not Lockdown browser, for those of you who may be worried about this. He does have a thick Vietnamese accent, but I could still understand his lecture videos. You don't need a finance calculator for the class.
Tbh I didn't learn a single thing about how to invest or which investments are good for you, but the class consists of just 3 exams that if you show up to class, he will tell you exactly what kind of questions are coming in the test, he also curves, and if you show up, he'll know who you are and bump your final grade a little more
Dr. Do was an amazing teacher, he really cares about his students and I had a phenomenal experience. He's the best teacher at SDSU that I've had hands down.
I would NOT recommend this professor. His lectures are literally impossible to understand with his thick accent. If it wasn't for A+, I would not have passed the class.
professor Do was not the best for me. I had to hired a outside tutor to help me pass this class. I asked him a question during class and right away he was already upset. Do Not Take his class. I would not recommend taking his class. 3 exams for this class. No quizzes from what i remember. Very hard class. find someone else.
dont take this class if you dont want to learn, online tests but you teach yourself everything, no homework or assignments only 3 tests
Online helps a lot. If you're ok with the whole class being based on 3 exams then you can make this class work. When I took it, the 3 exams were on Fridays about 7 PM, lasting an hour
