I took him for the second time and everything is still the same. He is very very easy, just do your notes. He does not hand out any homework. Only gives a midterm and a final so study for each one of them. He also gives you extra credit for doing all of your notes. Never really complained about me never coming to class so hes a great teacher!!!

Drew! An awesome guy. He is very down to earth and knows his stuff. he has lots of interesting stories to keep you entertained. I took him for a winter course; it was more intense, but he made it an enjoyable experience. I learned more about Sociology in this class (Contemp Soc.) than I did in Soc. 121.

Easy A. I feel like I didn't really learn much because he just read us the notes word after word and did not elaborate on it so right now i don't remember anything he taught us. some of his test questions he did not go over in class. Just memorize the notes from beginning to end and you will get an A. Don't need the textbook.

Very easy laid back type of class environment. You take a lot of notes, yet he breaks it up for everyone. He also understands if your having a bad day, or week. Incorporates his real life stories into the lectures, which make them sometimes really funny! You actually learn and remember things due to the way he teaches. Excellent professor.

This class is an Easy A! He doesn't care if you dont come to class becuse he never checks attendance. You might want to go to class to take notes because the midterm and final take home essay questions consist of mostly those lecture notes. You'll only need the book only for the midterm-we dont use it in class....no hw, tests,or quizes.

I took him during my 4 week summer session and my god, I had the best 4 weeks ever in his class. Extremely nice guy and pretty funny. It's a lot of notes to take, but at least it will be very useful for the tests. There was only 2 tests and a journal to write and thats it. Please take him, you'll never regret it.

This was my second time having him (first was for Soc 121) and he's still awesome! We had to hand in our journal of notes. Two take home exams. 3 questions each and about 2 pages for each question. Very interesting and movies of course. AND his awesome stories. It's not a bird course. It DOES require work but it'll be fun--I promise!

Very clear and concise lesson plan that teaches you what you need. Keeps the subject matter interesting by using frequent real world examples (usually personal stories). Very funny prof. Will help you a lot if you need it. Didn't use the text book. Take notes and get ones you missed and you will do well.

Ratings do not lie. Took him for the winter session. Two tests, no paper. No book needed. Both tests are based on all the notes given in class. Five small journall assignments which help your grade when you do them. Great professor. A MUST!

Easy easy A. Everyone here says he's a great guy but let me say I thought he was quite annoying. He constantly talks about his life, how he loves asian and blonde girls, his grandma gracie, and the grumpy old mail man. Half of his stories seem made up. You learn nothing. All you need is the notes and the journal to pass.

Probably one of the most easiest classes. I didn't study much for the midterm and got a C, but I studied a lot of the final exam, and always did my journals sufficiently and ended up passing the class with an A. Just memorize all the notes he gives, and you'll fine. He also has a great sense of humor, and may get annoying at times. Good luck.

There is no one better. Teaches you only the important facts. has a story for EVERYTHING. He loves to talk. Just do the work and respect him and you'll be fine. The hardest thing in his class is the paper and that has to only be 5 pages (No more and no less than 5. He does not want a 7-10 page paper).

Easy GPA Booster. I got a 107 on my midterm, got an A on my paper, and a 100 on the final. He tells you exactly what to write in your notes. He says it slowly and repeats it so you can copy it down. All I did for his tests was memorize my notes. Its a lot of memorization so don't do it last minute, but it's so easy! It's just vocab and definitions

Professor Dzurisin is by far 1 of the best professor I had. His lectures are simple n neat and clear. All you have to worry about the midterm, Final and a paper. He makes sure you got everything before he moves on and he tells us interesting stories as well. Take Him!

Professor Drew is the best on campus. Although he talks about himself a lot, most of it stems off of his lectures. He will always be there for you if you need it. His expectations for class are crystal clear. If you miss a lecture, you will get answers wrong on the test. Must take him if you need Intro to Sociology!

I love him! For me he is the smartest professor at MCC. The way he acts is super cute, would take hime again!!!

Being a veteran, sociology was never easy for me but he made it fun and interesting to learn. just study the notes and do as he says and youll be fine. Hes funny and has many stories that corralate to the notes!

Great professor! He is the only lecture I ever looked forward to during my school week. If I had to critic him on certain things, it would be that he does tend to talk A LOT. But it's not necessarily a bad thing. His stories always relate to the lecture, but there are days that you wish he could just give you the 4 terms of notes so you can go home

Great guy. Really takes the time to get to know you. His lectures come from him and not the book. The book is needed but rarely looked at. He always has a story for everything, but they oddly relate to the subject. very easy to contact and has always had taken the time to help out students. He always has a joke to make everyone laugh.

I have taken professor Drew twice, and I honestly wish I could take him again and again. By far my favorite professor that I've had at MCC. He has such a passion for what he teaches and really wants you to succeed. He treats his students like his own kids, and if you do what he says, there is no reason you won't get an A.

Really awesome professor. Had him in fall 2014 and he would tell a lot of stories about himself and his class was an easy A. Take him if you are looking for an easy GPA booster wish I could have taken him again. The final exam was a take home which was also easy. If you have the chance to take his class do it.

This guy is hilarious, I always look forward go going to his classes. He has the best stories, and is very straightforward with is lectures. His opinions about certain topics are strong, but respectful and he won't fault you at all for disagreeing. Don't take any professor for Sociology but this guy, you won't regret it.

Professor Drew is a totally awesome and caring teacher. His lectures are very interesting and he always has a story to share. Any questions or concerns I have had, Prof. Drew always had an answer. Make sure you have decent writing skills because he is not an easy grader when it comes to papers. I have learned a lot and will miss his class.

Professor Drew does everything in his power for you to pass his class. Show up, listen, do his exam reviews. He gives you so many hints ex. "If there's an all the above hint hint"... Not to mention its a fun casual class. If you can't pass Prof Drew's 121 class, not sure you should be in college. Would def take again, but im a comp sci major.

His lectures are interesting and not boring. he gives you note sheets that are straight forward. You will need the textbook since his midterm and final exam have questions from it. If you study you will pass. There is no homework and one essay to write. He only has a midterm, paper, and final. The class is fairly easy and I would recommend him.

You are graded on two tests (mid-term and final) and a research paper. This class is super chill and he is really nice and very funny. The class can get a little boring because it is a lot of his own stories but the class discussions get really funny. You don't necessarily need the book. If you want to get 100 on the tests than get the book. Easy B

This guy talksss A LOT! He tends to get off topic quickly. Midterm Final and paper. . Dont miss class his lecures are what the midterm and final are on. Teach yourself the material ! His test seem intimidating At first since they are 100 questions . But the questions were basic material that was learned in class!! Easiest 100 quest. test everr!!!

Prof. Drew is soooo great, if you have to take a SOC class, I highly recommend this guy. Really cool, gives you all the notes you need, does reviews before tests (midterm+final) and he will give feedback for your paper before it's due. I would recommend looking over the online textbook a little but that's it. Great class, again def recommend.

He is one of a kind! He truly cares about the students and wants them to enjoy learning and coming to his class. He does not overload you with work because he wants you to learn and not just be buried under pounds of homework. He is very funny. Always available to students. Would def take!

Likes to tall about himself but is fairly easy, from what i remeber we had no homework just lectures, and 3 tests and 1 paper, but trust me he is easy.

He is the coolest teacher I have had in MCC. took him for Soc 121 and Soc 122. enjoyed his class. he funny. keeps the class entertained. give good notes. papers come out from the notes. just a great teacher overall.

Funny guy. At first you might think he's a little crazy but he grows on you. Give out two test and a paper. Follow his notes and you will have no problem passing.

Took prof Dzurisin for Soc 121 and currently taking him for Soc 122. Amazing caring, respectful professor. Amazing class lectures, funny stories. Very easy to get into contact with. There is a midterm and final and a 5-page paper due which is not hard at all if you follow his specific directions. Would recommend for any Sociology major/elective.

I loved taking this class, Professor Drew is awesome and funny! If you're required to take Sociology, definitely take his course.

If you want an easy A take this class, tells stories most of the class, you don't really learn much. You have 1 paper (you choose out of 3 topics he gives you) and 3 exams. Wouldn't recommend him if you actually wanna learn something

Really good professor. You won't learn anything from his class. All he does talk about is his life. All you have to do is study for the midterm and final. Read the book, take notes what ever he says for the words, write them down which he will repeat twice and says the definitions to each words very slowly and also have to write only paper.

Easy class. As long as you listen to the notes and study the study guides he provides you will be fine. The tests are super easy even if you glanced over the study guide. He is not a hard grader on the paper either. He is a really nice guy and I thought he was cute as well.

Best Professor I've ever had he gives 2 exams and a 5 page research paper I got a 79 on my midterm and a 100 on my research paper and a 104 on my final exam I finished with a 95 (A) average

The class is just 2 MC exams and a research paper I got a B when I barely showed up and did the paper the morning before it was due if you just come and take his notes and study the notes and follow the directions for the research paper you are guaranteed an A or B

Midterm was a 84 Paper was a 100 and the final was a 104 ended up with a 97.4 lol

prof Andrew is a great professor . He grades you with 3 things . midterm, policy paper and a final . And he gave us extra credit too. He likes talking about his girlfriend and his life . its pretty interesting . choose him and you wont regret it .

All he does is talk in class about random things. He is funny. He tells you exactly what to do. Take notes the way he says and you will pass.

I dont know why they are so many negative reviews about him I mean yes he talks a lot and he comes off as too strong or a little too frank and inappropriate but thats because he likes to come to his students level also hes easy because its an intro sociology class other wise I took him for other sociology and hes actually hard in other classes

I think he is one of the best professors Of SOC at Middlesex County College. You won't get bored in his class because of the interesting and funny stories or jokes. Yeah, it is true that he talks a lot about his affiance but I think this is his love for her. I really enjoyed the class. He is also an easy grader professor.

I took Dzurisin during Summer I 2021 for Sociology. Dzurisin is excellent. If you attend the lectures you will definitely pass the class. The lectures are where all the note taking is done, if you have all the notes, you are all set for the midterm & final. No discussions, funny stories and he really cares about students.

Great professor, took him Spring 2020 so we were half in class and then after break, we went online. I enjoyed his lectures in class and his passion for the subject makes what could be a boring class a fun one. He's open with his students and accessible to his students outside of the class, not a lot of things to be graded on so take them seriously

Professor Drew is by far the best professor I've had. I took his Sociology class on zoom. He is a really laid back & simple guy, loves to engage in conversation. There are weekly journals which take not even a half hour to do and the mid term and final are papers and all notes are provided in lectures. I would definitely take his class again

Very lovely teacher. He is caring towards his students and really just wants to talk to you. He gets upset if people don't participate, wanting the entire class to be a group discussion. He can get easily side-tracked. Everyone should take them if they can. So long as you put in a little effort he'll be good to you.

He's really easy on his journal just make sure to do it on time. His exams are fair just study for like an hour or two for three days before the exam. He never makes class boring too.

Has a story for every single thing lol. Lenient. Talks a lot about himself. Very easy class. Take all notes to help prepare for exams.

I've only had so many professors, but I can confidently say Professor Drew will end up being one of my favorites. He was able to make each lesson very interesting and engaging. His teaching style made it very easy for me and it also made class very fun. He also cares a lot about his students.

Professor D. is a caring man. He is Strong, sweet, and loves his wife. He would assist who he can. If you ask for extra credit he might give you the opportunity to raise your grade. I would take his class again. The honors section will miss you papa D., you helped a lot of us more than you know.

Prof Drew makes sure that you are going to pass. He gives you every opportunity to get a good grade. Remember you are taking a soc class and there are going to be controversial topics. The best way to relate them is to tell real life stories and share real opinions. Don't just take the class for a grade, take it for real world discussions.

idk why so many people are giving him bad reviews. He gave stories that went with the topics in class and most of the class(even the women) found him entertaining and fun to talk to. Sometimes he curses in class but that's just who he is and he encourages others to be their true selves too which is very respectable. 10/10 prof and class.

Very funny, smart, relatable, and down to earth. Very easy homework and only 2 essays. He talked a lot about women's problems which was cool.

I took him fall 2023. He's nice. Yaps a lot, I mainly used his stories as background noise while I multitasked. Never took his wife stories to heart they never bothered me, he just wants to entertain the class so I understand. Take notes he shows. Study those, majority of those notes are in the exams. Theres also other methods 2 improve your grade.

Honestly a super super easy class. It is true he does talk a lot about personal stories but they never bothered me. Anything you needed to know he would tell you to write down, super direct and useful for the tests. The mid and final were the only tests we took. I did end up skipping a lot and was fine. If you're looking for an easy A here it is.

Professor Dru, is absolutely the best! He is very engaging! Very funny! He is definitely a class I was sad when it ended. His stories are relatable and allows his class to feel like we are humans and we all have struggles that we can identify with and this really helps with understanding society. I would certainly take another one of his classes.

Very talkative and entertaining. I would take this class if I'm someone who's unbothered and doesn't take jokes to heart. Just write down notes when he mentions anything important about the actual lesson and you should be fine. I hope to love my wife as much as he love his. His teaching strategy is odd but just bare with him.

LOVE Professor Drew!! Made 3-hour lectures feel like nothing. We had one journal entry a week, a prompt made by him (not some 10+ year old textbook) which made each assignment interesting and unique! He teaches you about real life not just textbook power points that have no weight in real life. I would take his class over if I could!!

He was amazing, do yourself a favor and take him for sociology. His lectures were really interesting and I would take him again if I could. Assignments are simple, just 2 paragraph journals every week. Overall, I learned quite a lot from him!

Want an easy A? He's the guy. Simple as that. Just gotta write down notes. Though you'll have to go through his loooooong stories about his wife to do so lol. Sometimes it's charming, other times it's obnoxious, but I don't mind him talking his stories. Made him memorable.

If you want something easy and want to pass take his online class through zoom even though it was for hours and he always talked about his wife and life, it's better than learning sociology Journals, Little notes, & music paper overall liked the class! sometimes boring but good take him if you want to pass sociology!

I missed two classes and NEVER got the notes. He canceled so many classes but life happens. Also the work was easy most on what we learned or we had to research it. I think he may have an issue with men in this society and he really loves his wife. He kept on asking about my mom which seems little weird but hes just friendly i think.

Very easy class. Assignments are quick and simple, tests are multiple choice and have obvious answers. You just have to pay attention. For notes, he tells you what to write and when to write it, but otherwise you can mostly tune him out and do other work. He gets very preachy and will go on long tangents, so be aware of that. It can be irritating.

In this class you are open to talk. I recommend you to take some notes. he rarely gives homework, I think he gives finals. he might ask you for one to other essay. He is easy going. His lectures are interesting, they are all about life and etc.
