Good teacher, makes the material interesting and easier to understand

Evans is cool, fun and funny. He is professional and brings his real world experience as a biologist to the classroom. He made this class a really cool experience. Everyone should take him to learn in a cool and fun way. You will need to study and put tons of effort, but it is worth it. He's easy to understand. Great class.

Cool teacher, fun to talk to and listen to. Must read the book and use all the handouts given to do well. Tests are harder than expected. There are 3 tests, lab pratical, final. The first two test are really hard, read the book. The third test is a take home test,easy. He gives ALOT of extra credit: bring pond water, make beer, make cheese, 10page paper, and lots more. He uses the full 3hrs to lecture. Overall he is a great teacher, just STUDY!

Professor Evans is great when it comes to having a professor that helps you in class;when it comes to his tests,not so much. Its extremely hard. With all the studying I've done for every test,I managed to only make 80's on them. There's no side work, 2 tests in class, third one is take home, lab pratical, and the final.And also lots of extra credit

He's a good teacher but he gets sidetracked very easily. He's very easy to get a hold of when you have a question or anything and he's very flexible. This particular professor is very informal. Lectures tend to veer off topic however this extra information was quite interesting as it comes from his life experiences as a biologist. In-class Lectures are PowerPoint based with equal textbook reading. Four to Five hour lectures were long even with breaks, but stayed interesting. Summer course. 0

Had him for General Bio II and he so graciously informs you that the course is difficult the very first day of class, and let me tell you he is not lying. It's a lot of information to comprehend. I loved this professor, i got an A on all the tests and labs yet he gave me and other students in his class a C. ?When i asked him to fix it he said he would get back with me when his computer was fixed, and never did . As much as i loved this class my classmates and i will never take him again.

Loved the class, the teacher is caring and he moves at a pace which is understandable.

Funny professor, knows a lot of about what he's teaching and much more. When anyone asks a question, he clarifies very well and even adds more information. His tests get pretty hard, but he just wants his students to learn.

A good teacher is marked by his or her own passion toward what they teach and professor Andy Evans is passionate about science. In addition, he keeps class interesting by making what we are learning relevant to our everyday lives. Its refreshing to have a teacher who cares, but simultaneously is able to keep young adults attention.

I just took his for BIOL 1406. He is awesome. He helps a lot and give a lot of extra credit for students. Although I have trouble about my language because I have been living in the US for only a year but he motivates and helps me a lot. He is very knowledgeable and understanding teacher. Take his class. One of the best class I've ever taken. He is always willing to help, so just ask when you don't understand something. He's also hilarious and he makes the course environment really light and no pressure. Just make sure to read your textbooks so you will be familiar to what he's trying to say and you'll get an A.

Mr Andrew is one of the best lecturers I've come across. Even though, I chose his without knowing he was the professor, it is the best choice I've made with selecting professors for my other courses. He is very funny and so considerate. He tries is best as much as possible to make sure everyone get what his passing across in every lecture.

Professor Andy WOOOOOOW the best professor ever that I had in my life, he explains everything clearly, his packets so helpful, you will not need the book most of the time because packets cover everything, his tests not to hard but you have to focus before you choose your answer, he helps the students a lot. He is one of the best professor I have had so far at HCC. Very helpful, funny, organized, and his notes are really helpful. lots of extra credits up to 30 points. His tests are not really hard but YOU NEED TO STUDY FROM THE TEXT BOOK. If you take him in summer , the first 3 major tests are take home test.

Mr. Evans is a good teacher to take. However, I would suggest to take him during a spring or fall semester because he gets off topic way too easily and it's hard for him to get back on track. I took Professor Andrew for 2404 and he is an amazing professor! He is very caring, flexible, and his lectures are excellent. If you do exactly what he asks you to do you will pass with an A, but you have to put in the work. He also makes class fun and not so boring unlike some other Bio classes.

Makes sure we understand whats being taught and hands on lab is usually on Thursdays which is great for learning.

His lectures are great. He uses a lot of visuals and he answers any questions you may have. He is very understanding and he makes lecture less stressful by giving you a break and trying to connect the lecture to real life examples. He makes you read out of the text book and you wont pass the exam unless you do.

Professor Evans is clearly both highly knowledgeable and very passionate about biology, and that shows in every lecture. He works best when his students participate and bring interest and enthusiasm to the class. He's generous and wants his students to learn and do well. Communication with him is key.
