Prof Evans is a GREAT teacher. I hate science, but still got an A in his class. He is flexible, lenient, and pretty easy as long as you study. He does not require much from the student. Very understanding.

Andy cuts up the material so that we learn what is important. Don't buy textbooks until after 1st day. There are extra credit activities if you need it, although you probably won't because there are bonus questions on tests. Most tests are multiple choice, but there are short essays (ie. the final). Ask questions, especially on spelling.

Horrible teacher. Did not teach anything. Made lots of lame jokes and gave essay tests. Only gives A to those who suck up and flirt with him. If he does not like you, you're going to get a C no matter what. Do NOT take this class!

Bad teacher. Always late, boring jokes, does not teach material. I had to teach myself everything out of the textbook. I heard he gives out extra credit to *SOME* students if they post good reviews about him. Maybe that's why he has so many great reviews, even though he is an awful teacher!?

He is a good professor but he makes biology to hard. His tests are nothing like the review and he rarely covers everything in one class which makes you fall behind

I was really afraid of this class since I was taking it in the summer but Prof. Evans is so helpful, it really alleviated a lot of stress. Some say he gets on side topics a lot but it's only because he's so knowledgeable. Definitely recommend him!!

Evans is a misleading, spiteful, irresponsible teacher. Never returned a test grade to us, even after semester ended, gave excuses why. Sprang an essay test on us, moved the final exam date up. Gives cell # but didn't want us to call. All those + ratings are because they were forced for extra credit. Don't recommend if you want your sanity intact!

Oh Andy! Extremely flexibe and helpful once he understnds that you are serious about learning in his class. Aside from getting off topic and his trademark hand gestures, his class is informative and is necessary for passing the exams.

The class was very interesting but, i must admit there were times when the course became challenging. Andy is fair and he always offer open communication between he and the student; as a teacher he gives the student every opportunity to pass his class, the student has to be willing. The class was difficult but, I would take him again.

Mr. Evans is a great teacher, he really cares about his students doing well, sometimes to a fault. It seems some students take advantage of his kindness by not turning in assignments ontime and constantly requesting make up exams. He gets off topic, but it is because he is passionate and wants people to understand in plain talk.

This professor is one of the few that were understandable when it came to real life situations (meaning, he understand work schedules change). Very knowledgeable of his profession.I would take this professor again.

Honestly, this class is BS. He is nice enough but does not come to class and act like the test are easy, even tells you the are multiple choice when they are not. Also, does not grade test as he should....we are on test 4 with no grade for test one yet and he keeps saying the we will have them soon.

Do NOT take this class! Horrible in every way. He comes up with excuses to why there are no grades and does not come to class on time EVER! Overall this class is not what any college student would expect because it is all about dealing with his excuses to why he is late, why no test are graded....plus he gives a review for test that is rediculous

Not a very good teacher. Very friendly but doesn't return test grades until literally the last day to drop the class. He always make it seem like the test is easy when they are not. He says the andy packets would help a lot when they really don't. And he's always late for class and always come up with an excuse on why he's late. Poor communication.

Laid back professor. takes forever to get your tests back. gives PLENTY of extra credit, he wants you to pass. he's blunt & gets off topic easily. gives you packets to follow in his class and all of his powerpoints are assessable. i would take him again for 2402, because he's to the point and really works with you if you miss practicals and tests.

Andy's class was great. I learned alot, and came to understand the material far better. I don't think the class was too difficult, but I have taken it before and also have alot of history with the material, so I may have been at a greater advantage. His class is enjoyable, learning is fun, and his teaching style is mixed.

Andy seemed to be a pretty nice guy but wasn't the best instructor. He had apparently over scheduled himself and had a hard time making it to class on time. There were a few cases when we went an hour or more over our scheduled meeting time because he was late and needed to cover material. There are some extra credit opportunities that were helpful

Took for A&P1. Great teacher, he makes it interesting and fun. Expect to get your tests back late though and you should probably push him for your tests everyday. He doesnt do a written review, instead he does a verbal review of what to study so he misses somethings. No homework but do all extra work as it will help you immensely in the class.

I WOULD NOT TAKE THIS CLASS! If you're trying to get into a nursing program or hard program on campus, this class is CRAP! He's a very nice guy, but lectures are way to long and you don't really learn material for test. Isn't fair in grading practicals either.

I took A&PI and enjoyed his class. He will work with you, and is very reasonable in what he asks of his students. On a side note he can get carried away during lecture on things that seem slightly unrelated to the subject matter (though the discussions are always interesting). Study and you'll do fine.

Study, study, study! This professor is always willing to help but if you don't at least study you are only hurting yourself. There is alot of extra credit given but again if you don't work really hard at the start and midway pt of this course it would all be for nothing. Take my advice, I didn't exactly devote enough time to this course & it shows.

This fellow is approachable, friendly, and understanding. He encourages questions and usually does a good job explaining the material. He is a jokester as well so his classes aren't always dull. He sometimes gets off topic. Read to get an A. He states the topics that will be on the test. Lab practicals are low-stress and multiple choice.

Taking Andy during summer II. I can honestly say I have learned a lot in his class, but that is because I have to, in order to pass. Good teacher, makes class interesting, lots of extra credit, will work with you, BUT his tests are KILLER. You have to READ, READ, READ!!! Study guides do not help, so take lots of notes. Great teacher but not easy.

I took his night class from 6 - 9 and that was the hardest part of the class. If I would have done his afternoon class I think I would have had an easier time. He has powerpoints available, makes packets to follow along with, and repeats things that are going to be on tests. Strongly recommend this class.

Andy is a great teacher his exams are pretty difficult make that you read your book over and over and pay attention in the class. You have to do a lot of studying to pass the course he is very helpful and gets back to you as soon as he can. always ask questions if you don't understand what the is talking about.

Andy always makes sure you understand, even if he has told you three different ways, he will explain it again until you get it. He is always available, and understands that there IS life outside of class!

There were a total of about 4 tests..and 2 lab practicals, both of which are easy. If you show up, take notes, and study, you will do fine!

This Bio A&P is really hard for someone who desires to attend in Medical field. Mr. Andrew is such a greatest prof for all of you guys. he is a really great teacher. helps students as much as he can. you have a chance to make 10 extra points on every test and at the end of the semester he has an extra credit paper worth 20 points. he goes off topic a lot but it just makes his class more interactive. he will kick you out if you are sick tho he is strict about that.

This is a very difficult high level class even though it is used as a prerequisite at LSCS. Professor Evans recognizes that and gives studetns an opportunity to succeed while still maintaining the integrity of the course and subject matter.

This class is not entirely easy, you still have to do a lot of studying if you want an A in his class. At the end of the semester he gives plenty of opportunities to get a better grade through lots of extra credit! I highly recommend him! Oh and he's very easy going and nice...but we do get off-track in class, during lectures, quite a bit!

I definitely enjoyed this class. The class it self is not easy but professor Evans make the material easier. He is fun and keep you interested the whole time. He can get off topic but thats what keep you awake. The only issue I have is that we only get 6 grades the whole semester. So if you mess up it's hard to get back where you want to be.

Make sure to get the Andy packets he has on drop box, EVERYTHING on those are the whole test. You need to study a good 12-15 hours per test to get a B or higher. Studying for a few hours will get you a F. If you actually do your work, its not that hard to get an A.

He is very unorganized! We are in the last week of the summer and still have none of our test grades back! Very frustrating going through this whole class and about to take the final test and last lab practical and have NO IDEA where we stand in the class. I'm taking Andy in the summer. All his tests were take home except for the final. He is horrible with getting the tests back on time. He gets off subject all the time everyday. Andy is a nice guy. I'm taking this course in the summer and it is very fast paced. He lectures a lot. Not on top of grading though. Andy is a wonderful teacher. He knows his stuff, many in the class did not agree with him due to the fact he is a biologist. If you do your work and attend class you will have an A in there. He doesn't hand out grades and he doesn't do things on your time, but he will work with you if something comes up. I would only take him if I could.

Keeps lectures entertaining because you just arent sure what will come out of his mouth at times. Understanding when it comes to family matters outside of the university. Beware of the number of questions on the test though there are many (about the only negative I thing I can say), but they did have extra credit built into every test given!

I would say Evans tries to be more like a friend than a professor. He really likes to talk a lot, some pertaining to the subject matter. The one thing I truly like about his classes is that he relates everything he covers to the world today. If you want a history class additionally wrapped around anatomy & physiology, then Evans is the right choice

Be ready to learn important facts from other online sources. Writes own tests and confusing questions/answers. Test reviews are somewhat helpful but not 100% of whats on test.

You will be taking a few test and like 2 practicals. He does try his best to answer all the questions and will look into it for you if he doesnt have the answer at the time. He is really cool and loves for the students to participate.

Professor Evans is a very caring genuine person who knows what he is talking about. If it was up to him I think he would just teach and not give tests, because of that he is a tad disorganized when it comes to schedules so be prepared to be flexible. If you can handle that, you will not be disappointed!

Andy is a really cool and relaxed person. I am taking his course during the pandemic online, so things are definitely different. I wish that I could take his course in person. I struggled to learn during his lectures. The exams are okay, but definitely not easy. You will bomb them if you are not prepared. I would have really liked more structure.

This was a summer course during the pandemic. This professor was getting used to working in online classes. We had weekly lectures via video conference. He offers a lot of extra credit and is available at most hours (gives out personal email and cell phone to students). I would take this class again, just be prepared to read!

I just picked his class through rate my professor and it's awesome when attended. He is a sense of humor professor and always willing to help you whenever you have problems with his course. His class requires reading in the textbook to understanding and his lecture bases on that and expands with real examples in life.
