Calculus I was a hard subject for me, but Dr. Fanoe is most likely always there when you need him. In class, he does move pretty fast in class, but if you need help, GO TO OFFICE HOURS! Most of the time you will probably be the only person there. IT WILL BE WORTH IT! Especially for a Calc class.
Prepare to see a failing average on your tests. Corrections make up the difference. Lectures are a pain. Sometimes gets stuck on a problem for an hour before moving on etc.
He is very smart and knows the material really well. He tries to baby step you which can make the class feel like it is long. Overall he is a really good teacher that cares, not too much assignment or hws either. His exams are a bit challenging but it was worth!
Good teacher, yet the tests are very hard corrections will help bump your grade up if you do them.
I love his class. He's amazing!! This is my second semester with him!! He is so smart and helpful.
Not an inspiring lecturer; try to ask him a question about the material out of order and he'd get confused and start over. The full period was spent on the lecture, but the man tends talk in circles. He was pretty helpful if things weren't clear, so in A is possible.
Dr. Fanoe is very clear when he presents material to the class. You can tell that he enjoys teaching, which makes it more enjoyable to have him as an instructor. He does tend to be repetitive, but he is truly doing it to be helpful.
If you are a Math brain and just want someone to tell you the facts and formulas while letting you dangle a little bit on the stuff behind it, you will love this guy. If you tend to need a little extra help understanding the details behind some of the formulas, he will be a little tougher. However he has plenty of office hours or go to SI sessions.
Dr. Fanoe is a great calc teacher! He goes over the material more than once in his lectures, so if you don't get it the first time then you will definitely get it by the end of the class. DO THE HOMEWORK! & Take good notes
Dr. Fanoe is a great professor! He can be repetitive in lectures only to be helpful. You must go to class, he does not put his notes online. Going to class, doing homework and test corrections when offered are the best ways to ensure an A in his class. I would take him again definitely.
He deserves 5 stars that's how awesome this guy is as a teacher. I have had him for calc 1 and 2 and now Im in Calc 3 with him. I want him for every single math class in the future. He's perfection.
Excellent professor! I had him for Calc II and it was pretty clear cut. I struggle in math and he was able to make the material understandable. The HW is easy. The tests were b/w average & semi-difficult. He gives everyone the opportunity to do tests corrections which is a bonus. Would have loved to have him in Calc I & Calc III!!
If you're reading this, take him! He gives homework normally which are pretty easy. Only 3 tests, and allows test corrections on each test which help boost your grade. 1 project. The textbook is mandatory. The SI leader helped a lot. He repeats stuff a lot, but just to make sure you understand it.
Dr. Fanoe is a great professor. He is very clear with his explanations, grades very generously, and is willing to answer any question that a student has. He gives you great review for exams and asks similar questions on the exams. Allows test corrects for points back, and grades you out of more points than the test is worth. Easy, weekly homework.
Had Dr. Fanoe for Calc I for the life sciences (Biocalculus). I took Calc 1&2 in HS and was scared, but I made an A+ in his class. He's a great teacher and really enjoys teaching this subject. I'm taking Calc for one variable II (2211) with him in the fall! I recommend him if you've never taken calc. He's the bomb. Homework is mandatory!
Amazing professor, super laid back and easy. He gives you plenty of opportunities to improve your grade. You literally have to want to fail to fail this class.
really good guy, he is completely thorough when explaining topics and gives you a lot of options when grading
Really great guy and super relaxed. Very smart and clear with his explanations. Willing to help you if you need extra help, but you need to go to lectures and do a lots of homeworks in order to get a decent grade.
Truly a great Professor who cares about his students.
Explains topics very well and in depth, answers questions, goes over review problems before exams, very helpful in clarification when needed. Also very nice and caring.
He's very intelligent and an amazing lecturer. Very kind & caring. He gives out exam corrections which boosts your grade. Review sessions before exams are very helpful. Exams are easy if you listen carefully in class. Try not to skip classes, he doesn't put his notes online. If you take his class its unlikely youll fail. Try your best to get an A+
He drops 2 homework grades on webasssign which is only 7% of the grade, he has test corrections and the test are very straight foward , so even if you fail you still can get a good grade as you can take the test home. Test are 50% of the grade so as long as you pass the test which are fairly easy and again you get test corrections, EASY A!!
Great Prof!!! He's very slow and repeats but that's what makes him a great professor. Also he gives test corrections and extra points!!
Test corrections for half the points back. Exams are graded out of more points than the test is worth. Weekly homework from textbook. Thorough explanations.
Pretty good teacher. He allows you to correct your tests for half points back. He does have a problem of talking on and on when you ask him a question. Often goes over information we don't need to know which can confuse you sometimes. I am taking him for Cal 2
I took Dr. Fanoe for Calc 2211 and 2212 and had the most pleasant experience. Coming from a student who sucks at math he made the material so easy to understand, gives test corrections and always has bonus points on any assignment so you can easily get an A in the class! I would never take any other math professor. 10/10 would recommend.
Great teacher. By far the best math teacher at state!
The best Professor I took him for math2211 and math 2212. I LOVED HIS CLASS ALL OF YOU SHOULD TAKEHIS CLASS MAKES CALCULUS EASY TO LEARN.
Really great professor, gives test corrections that actually help to improve your grade.
Easy Class. The professor is amiable. The homework assignments are really easy. Just do the given work diligently and you can easily get an A.
Dr. Fanoe is an amazing professor I HIGHLY recommend him! Online Webassigns due each week, but he will often extend them to ensure students have enough time. Lectures can get boring sometimes because he spends a lot of time on one problem to explain everything. He is really nice and wants to see all of his students succeed. Profs like him are rare!
Fanoe does a great job of explaining the subject conceptually. Although make sure you have a good lab instructor because they are the ones who will walk though problems with you(also math lab and SI). There will be lots of webassigns but he drops some. He gives a lot of opportunities to bring up low grades! Turned a 46 on a test to a 76
I liked him well enough. The main downside is how off topic he gets during lectures, never clearly answering students' questions. If you show up to lectures, go to recitation and do the homework, it's a very easy A. He allows you to get half your points back on test if you do corrections, and he drops a bunch of online assignments. Kind of awkward.
Honors Multivariate Course, I was pretty worried when I decided to take Calc3. I had a 2-year lapse between 2212(Calc2) and 2215(Calc3) and the way the course was designed made it easy to pick integration back up. By the end, Dr. Fanoe made me pretty comfortable with math again. Great professor, take him for 2215.
I haven't received an A in a math class in sooo long . I was a transient student in his class this summer and I can truly say he is an awesome teacher. He definitely wants to make sure you understand the concepts and he takes his time. I STRONGLY urge you to take him !
I was originally intending to go to class but his lectures are so long and dry. He tends to repeat certain phrases, talk in circles, and go off on tangents of problems more difficult than you need to know. Ended up skipping the lectures, reading the textbook for a few hours before the test, and ended up with a test average of 99%.
Dr. Fanoe is by far one of the best math professors at GSU. He is well knowledgeable about Calculus and will answer any questions you may have. He does assign webassign homework due every Saturday but it is EASILY manageable. He drops the lowest 6 homework and 3 quizzes. On top of that he lets you retake the exam for partial credit!! An easy A!!
TAKE HIM! If you want to not only pass but get an awesome grade in Calc do yourself the biggest favor and TAKE FANOE. He allows test corrections and this helped me take a 65 to an 88 . He drops quizzes and homework. This man is a true treasure. If you're mathematically challenged like myself its easy to get lost but do your best and you will pass.
Dr. Fanoe is a very good professor, and he knows his stuff very well. His lectures can be pretty monotone and include the same phrases over again, but overall he's really good at what he does. If you don't do well on an exam, he will give you the chance to get half of the credit back (i.e. you can turn a 68 into an 84). I'd recommend him for Calc.
Im a slow learner & also havent taken calc 1 in 2 years before taking this one, so if this sounds like you id be ready to know as much as you can about calc 1 to be ahead. He is friendly & allows half points back test corrections. Do ok on test, do all your webassigns & get chegg if need, & do good on the recitation quizzes each week to pass.
I'm not sure how he has such good reviews, he really does not know how to teach. He's very sweet, but his lectures are all over the place and difficult to follow. He does examples but never finishes the entire problem which is annoying. The recitation teacher does a better job than him. The only perk is test corrections which can help a lot.
I was a transient student over summer 2018. It was the easiest math class that I have ever taken. It was easier than high school because while he may not be the greatest lecturer his tests were some of the easiest ones I have taken in any subject. Ended up with a test average over 100 without doing his corrections due to the built in extra credit.
I honestly hold this man to the highest regard. He is the first professor in my life that made math make sense. I love his attitude for everything math related because it honestly takes my testing anxiety away
Fanoe is a great teacher and he cares a lot about his students. The content is difficult, but he puts a lot of effort into his lectures. He was very communicative during the transition to online classes due to COVID-19. There are lots of extra credit opportunities. The textbook is only really necessary for extra practice.
Dr. Fanoe is a very nice guy and excellent at explaining math. Always willing to help students and very lenient on grading. Never makes you feel bad for asking a trivial question.
Dr. Fanoe is an absolute gem. Integral calculus is not an easy class, but he teaches it well and takes whatever time his students need to succeed. He is very accessible outside of class, take advantage of this, it is a sure way to learn the material to pass the class.
Very nice person! He gives lot of extra credits and wants students to do well. I didn't really like his teaching style though,as he goes off on tangents often and you really have to focus on what he's teaching. He's very accessible though and is a good one-on-one teacher.
This class was mandatory for me because of math 1111, but overall it was very easy. Everything was on MLM and if you do the DQ's you don't necessarily have to do the homework as the grade of the homework adjusts depending on what you get on the DQ. It can be a lot of work along with 1111, but you'll adjust. Easy class.
Great teacher, great class. If you are taking his class around lunch, expect he bring his lunch and eat in front of you before class. Lectures are fun and don't have pop quiz or attendance check (he always forget). Overall, he is a funny teacher and if you have any questions for your homework or exam (after exam) or even any concepts, he'll answer
Easily the best math professor I've ever had. You can tell that he's great at what he does and that he genuinely cares about both teaching his students and exploring calculus. Do yourself a favor and take him, I pinky promise it's the best decision you'll make in your entire academic career.
Honestly when I saw the good reviews before taking his class I did not know how accurate it was! He is an amazing person. Calculus is hard but he tries the best to teach us. He is also very fast at responding to emails. There are Post Test Assignments that will help you a lot! Textbook used for homework and a project. TAKE HIM, LIFE WILL BE EASIER!
After going online for this semester, Calc2 was honestly the most challenging class I had. However, Prof. Fanoe was a very helpful instructor, he's available outside of office hours through email, gives great extra credit boosts, and isn't too harsh on grading. If it weren't for him, I would've failed Calc 2. Absolutely recommend.
Funny guy, a great sense of humor, and incredibly engaging in teaching. Best professor I have had during the covid pandemic; he made online learning fun which is incredibly tough to do. If you can, have this professor teach you Calculus. I guarantee you will not regret it.
Although he goes on many tangents during lectures he is a great professor who is very caring. He literally replied to emails in less than a minute it was crazy how fast he responded. Probably the best math teacher I've ever had and he explains concepts very wel.
Although he goes on tangents during lectures he is a great professor. He teaches topics very clearly and thoroughly. He also is very accessible out of class, he literally replied to my emails in less than 5 minutes every time. I definitely suggest this professor he is great.
By far the best professor I've ever had. I struggled with Calc 1, but Calc 2 was relatively easy because of him. He is extremely accessible, understanding, and very caring. I will be taking Calc 3 with him next semester. If you ever have a chance to take Fanoe, pounce on the opportunity. There are extra credit opportunities for each test as well.
best teacher ever
awesome
Professor Fanoe wants his students to succeed. His clear communication- from breaking down difficult concepts in class to quick email responses- helps achieve that goal. It can be challenging to keep up with the 0999 class and Math 1111 simultaneously, but you'll learn a lot in this co-req class. Assignments can be submitted late for 90% credit.
Really great professor, never been good at math but I tried and he helped as well. Gives good feedback on tests. Try your best and you'll be fine.
It's worth going out of your way to take his class.
He was the best math teacher Ive ever had. He made calc 3 really easy. His lectures were a bit slow but he goes over everything like 3+ times so if you missed something or dont understand, youll get it by the end. His tests were similar to questions in class or on his quizzes so easy A. Take him if you can
This semester was a little bumpy.. grades weren't in for like 3 months but the material itself is fine. homeworks (recitations) drops a lot of them. extra credit opportunities after tests. Man is pretty goated for how not well I did.
Professor Fanoe makes math concepts easier to understand, and I found his teaching style helpful. He's actually open to questions, and is respectful of students' time! He doesn't shy away from teaching prerequisites in class; the brief reviews of previously learned concepts were incredibly valuable to me. I'll definitely consider taking him again.
If you're lost, Dr. Fanoe will help you find. Take his class. Use his office hours to your advantage. Make sure that you show good work ethic- you will pass.
the best math professor I have ever had. explains difficult concepts extremely well and is always accessible gives you every opportunity to pass and get a good grade. honestly one of the best teachers ive had
Great guy; he'll answer any questions you have, but make sure you say it fast enough cause he tends to cut people off a lot. He provides test corrections for his exams and gives extra credit on MyLabMath. Getting grades for the recitation sheets is a slow process, but that's not exactly his fault. One of the best math professors I've had thus far.
Had Fanoe for Calc 2 and Multivariate Calc. He jokes around during lectures to keep you engaged. Gives partial credit on exams and offers test corrections, it's honestly easy to make a decent grade in the class. Sometimes has messy handwriting, but other than that, he's a great professor overall.
Super great math teacher, great at explaining and lots of extra credit.
Best professor I have ever had. Formula sheet every test, lots of extra credit. I hadn't taken math in 10 years and made an A+. The HW is time consuming, but super helpful. Go to lecture. Go to recitation. He was very available to students, course was well outlined, no surprises, very accommodating and understanding. Seriously take him.
The last time I took a math class before Fanoe was 4 years ago but his lectures helped me catch up so much! He actually explains how to solve questions without mental math games and is willing to help others keep up during lectures without taking too much time. He has lenient test and quiz grading and has a good connection with his students.
Great professor! His lectures are great and extremely comprehensible. He's a super understanding professor if you do not fulfil your deadlines. As for grading, he allows your final exam to replace any of the three unit tests given. Study well and you'll receive an A in his class.
Really great instructor. He will explain if you have any questions. Grades are based on 3 tests, weekly Mathlab assignments(which are really easy), and recitation worksheets. He gives post-tests that are exactly the same as the test except with different numbers, and you can complete them using any resources which are averaged with your test grade.
A great teacher in all aspects. Well structured and transparent class delivered in an engaging (and funny!) manner. Recitations use in class worksheets reinforcing key ideas. Tests can be 'redone' with new data and averaged with original score; solid practice! Accessible office hours. He provides great opportunities for success. Take his class.
One of the best professors I've ever had.
Dr. Fanoe was a great professor. All of his lectures were clear, and he answered questions whenever there were any. There are three tests and a final. Each test has an optional (but highly encouraged) extra credit assignment. There was mathlab every week, but they were very easy. The recitation worksheets were fairly easy and helped out a lot!
Super helpful and nice. He is really good at making topics relatable and easy to understand.
Best professor I've ever taken. Set the bar really high and will probably never get a professor as good as Fanoe. Made Calculus easy to understand and lectures prepared you well for the exams. Plenty of extra credit opportunities.
Best professor I have had so far at GSU. The lectures are very clear and his teaching style is amazing, He will answer any questions in class and even repeat steps to make sure you understand the solution. The homework is light but can take a long time just make sure you complete them. The recitation quizzes are easy if you review the topics.
A math teacher who actually teaches his material well. He did a good job going over everything in a clear and concise way, and gave extra credit and partial credit on tests.
He makes math look so easy and gives out examples. During recitation, he will go over material covered in class. His exams are relatively easy if you study and ask questions. There is opportunity for extra credit and regular exam bonus points. Great professor for math, couldn't recommend a better one.
He is an amazing professor who explains everything in full and does so much to help you. He gives extra credit for the exams and thoroughly prepares you for the exams. There's homework but it isn't the worst and helps a lot. His lectures and recitations do make the material easier. Definitely take him if you can.
His lectures are really good, except he may go on tangents for a little while during class. I struggled with the information a little but the textbook is really helpful with clearing up errors. He offers makeup credit for exams and they weren't too many questions and not too much difficulty which was also great. He also will make a few jokes.
I can confidently say that Dr. Fanoe is the best teacher I've had. I always looked forward to coming to class, despite attendance being optional. His expertise in the material is very evident, and he is always willing to help students succeed in and outside of class. He gives test corrections and drops the lowest few quiz and homework grades.
awesome professor! teaches every detail of the material and recitation periods are great for asking questions. very good
This professor deserves all his flowers!!!! He's very understanding, and committed to his line of work. 10 out of 10!
He taught the subject very well and made sure to review all materials before every test.
just amazing, he's very nice and enjoys what he's doing, responds to emails quicker than I can blink, asking questions was super easy and he knew what he was doing one of the best math professors you will get, his retest saved my grade.
By far the best math professor I've had at GSU. He loves his job and is very enthusiastic. He is very accessible outside of class and is always happy to help. He does allow test corrections and averages the 2 grades together. There's online homework that helps with learning the material. If I could take him for Calc 1 & 2, I most definitely would!
He is easily the best prof in the entire uni. He is lightning-quick with replies, absolutely amazing throughout the lectures. He has a very clear syllabus but also is super understanding and can make quick changes for the syllabus. I just wish he is my prof for every math class I take he will go above and beyond absolute goat fr.
He is overall a good professor, but I wouldn't say he's the best. He does give out test corrections and answer emails fast, but the lectures are utterly pointless. His handwriting is so bad that it takes me more time to figure out what's on the board than actually understanding the material, and overall the lectures are very disorganized.
Best professor you could take for Calc 1.
He is very nice and responsive, he emailed me back multiple times over break. He talks fast, take good notes and ask questions!!!
Dr. Fanoe is one of the best professors that I have ever had. Blessed with a remarkable talent for explaining complicated math concepts with stunning clarity, it was very easy to understand what was going on during his class. He just made everything make sense. The tests are easy but there is a lot of HW. HW was often more difficult than the tests.
Having come from High School already partially understanding Calculus, Fanoe was a great professor to have reviewed with. He further explained things that I didn't fully understand coming out of AP classes. Even if you haven't taken calc in the past, you'll be fine learning it brand new under Fanoe.
I took him for Calculus of 1 Variable 1, he explained the concepts in a simple manner. We learned limits, derivatives, integrals, etc. There were 4 exams in total, one gets dropped. We used Web assign and had around 40 assignments in the whole semester due every Sunday night. He was a chill professor and I recommend you take him if you can!
Very good professor. Informative lectures; He shows you what to do as well as explains why. You can tell he loves his job.
Dr. Fanoe was a wonderful professor and helped me understand Pre-Calculus. Im horrible at math, but his teaching made me actually want to come to class!! His tests are pretty difficult, but theres post tests that he will average with your test score to help bring your grade up! Hes very accessible by email and helps explain the material very well.
I took Calculus in high school so this class was essentially a review for me, but Professor Fanoe is easily the best professor I've had so far. His tests are so easy (basic concept questions), and he only teaches you the topics that GSU requires, unlike a lot of the other Calc professors.
Dr. Fanoe is the BEST CALCULUS TEACHER AT GSU! He is really passionate about teaching calculus. Going into his class with some calculus background, he explained it really clear for me to understand the content. He dumbs it down to the point you can understand. His handwriting is messy sometimes, but that doesn't matter. Tests are also really easy.
Andrew Fanoe is the best math instructor that I ever had. His lectures are informative and he always points out helpful hints. There are plenty of recovery opportunities so even if you get a bad grade on the exams you should be fine. Stay mindful of the homework assignment due dates as well and this course could be an easy A.
Easily the best professor I've had in all of GSU, it does not get better than this. Always gave extensions, very reasonable about the work assigned, and gave multiple opportunities for extra credit. Calculus will still be hard, but with a teacher like this you'll be good.
Ive taken this man for two semesters and all i can say is He is a savior to your grade, im atrocious at math and wish he could've been an option for me this semester, I probably would've dropped out if i had a different professor for math god bless this man.
As someone who never took calculus before, I must say this class was a bit fast-paced for me and lectures were sometimes difficult to understand. I often had to go back and teach myself, but I will say the Professor is very caring for his students. Otherwise, he does provide homework help, test corrections and overall wants to help you.
tbh i wasn't really sure about him in the beginning but he grades really well and is generally always there to help you with math if you need it. he's kinda quirky!
Great professor, very helpful outside of class. Gives extra credit for final along with retest for any exam and then he averages the two score! However, lectures for me felt like they were all over the place, so I used YouTube to learn some concepts. Overall, you'll enjoy his humor.
Best Professor I have had! He gives extra credit and gives out test corrections (THAT IS WORTH A LOT OF POINTS) Test can be easy if you study for it, Loves his job is very kind and loves teaching. I'm not the brightest student but If I passed with a B+ then guarantee that you will pass as well (I could have made an A- if I did the extra credit)
Great teacher! explains everything very well & is very helpful during recitation. Has post exams that average your grade with the first and more extra cred, you can tell he wants students to do well.
Overall a good professor, honestly surprised that many people don't go to lectures considering he teaches very well. He lets you do post-tests after the exam as extra credit where he averages the two. I have to say be aware of the second test!
Dr. Fanoe's lectures were enjoyable, even for someone who doesn't particularly like calculus-based courses. As long as you complete the worksheets in class and make sure you know how to do them, you will be very prepared for his exams. His exams are not very long or overcomplicated. I highly recommend Dr. Fanoe for any precalc or calculus course.
He was an amazing and understanding professor, his lectures were on point and in-depth but sometimes got boring as it was a summer class and the lectures were 3 hours long. He gave a normal amount of homework and replaced the tests with post-tests by averaging the two and in the end, the final also replaced the lowest test grade. Amazing professor.
Fanoe was a solid precalc prof. He's a good speaker but has messy handwriting and isn't great at answering specific questions, so paying attention the first time is a must. He offers make-up credit for exams which is great to have. Otherwise, precalc is already very HW-heavy and it's very important that you do it so you can keep up.
I took Calculus in high school and struggled, but did well in this class. Dr. Fanoe is a great professor with clear lectures. As long as you complete the worksheets, you'll be prepared for exams. Plus, there are post-exam extra credit opportunities to boost your grade. He truly wants his students to succeed.
Professor Fanoe's lectures are engaging, and he offers helpful learning opportunities like retests and extra credit. The workload is manageable if you stay on top of the assignments. I found Unstuck study's practice tools useful for preparing for exams.
I didn't enjoy his teaching style since it didn't align with the WebAssign homework, making his lectures hard to follow. Mid-semester, I realized I learned more by using online resources rather than going to his lectures. Recitation classes are also unhelpful since the instructor sometimes doesnt review the practice question answers before the quiz
He is a no-brainer. I have only taken him for one math course so far, and this was by far one of my easiest classes. Fanoe is such a W professor that will make the learning content easy; he does teach pretty fast but you can always stop him to ask questions and he will always be happy to answer TAKE HIS CLASS.
He has messy handwriting which makes it hard to read the board, he talks non-stop without stopping. Had to do pretty much all the learning by myself and there are barely any assignments other than HW that don't even help with tests and quizzes. You cannot mess up or it'll be hard to get a good grade back.
Dr. Fanoe is a very nice person but I wouldn't say he's the best as a calc professor. He does move at a FAST pace so get prepared to spend quite a bit of time outside of class. His handwriting is quite hard to read at times. Calc2 is already challenging on its own, so if you want to do well, you will have to go an extra mile on your own
y'all u dont have to like him but honestly i felt like i made so many mistakes in scratchwork and he still make sense out of it and gave me a good grade extra credit from exam (usually 4-6 extra credit), drop quiz grades and hw grades as standard
Dr. Fanoe makes learning very easy. Calc 2, in general, is a bit of a hard subject, but if you study hard, you should be good. There r quizzes during the first recitation of every week. Dr. Fanoe does a great job explaining n answering any questions for both quizzes and tests, and is overall very witty and cool.
I would simply not recommend him.
Only reason students like him is the test corrections which help cover up his horrible teaching ability. He does not follow the syllabus (was behind on the first exam then magically forced three sections down our throats to catch up for exam 2). Does not give reviews, exams and quizzes are not reflective of learning anything but are just difficult.
Professor Fanoe is a kind person but unfortunately, that doesn't make up for the overall experience in the class His teaching style made it very difficult to grasp the material. Explanations were often unclear his handwriting on the board was messy. Responses were vague or unhelpful exam prep is also very unclear and lacks structure(overall course)
Class was very easy: he always answers your questions and emails. My friends with other professors struggled HARD with Calc II, but I passed overwhelmingly easy with him. A tip for students taking Calc II is to do the exam practice problems he assigns on the WebAssign textbook (important!) before the exam. Actual WebAssign work was eh tho
Great professor. He's a lecturer, but if you pay attention and come to recitation you won't have a problem. The tests are also super easy and basic level on the things we are currently learning.
I had Dr. Fanoe for MATH 2641 (Linear Algebra). There was no resources at all that could have prepared me for any of the exams, except for the final exam. For the final exam, I had to consult with students of other professors for their study materials, though they had a different syllabus, it was better than what he offered (reading the textbook)
I took Professor Fanoe this past semester and he is an amazing professor! He is very straightforward and accessible outside of class. Recitation is VERY important to attend, if you don't understand topics from Fanoe the instructor teaches it differently. I would 100% take his class again!
