Great Teacher. Just show up and finish easy essays. Class is easy as long as you follow curriculum. Im taking him again. Funny, Young and easy going teacher..

i wouldn't recommend him if you dont like english and writing essays. he's easy because he gives a lot of busy work (stupid assignments like answering questions from the book) that keep your grade up. but he grades essays hard. he's okay, wouldn't take him again though.

Hes a nice guy, really. I mean just show up and do the essays and you'll be fine. Loads of small assignments though, but they don't take longer than 20 min to complete.

Very easy class as long as you do your essay's. Lets you rewrite all essays at the end of the semester to imporve your grade. Only 4 essays, and he does require you to attend class. Professor is a nice guy and knowledgable at what he does. Great teacher.

Professor Golden is an awesome teacher! He is really nice and helpful to every student. 4 essays and some homework assignments. For the most part very easy. Take Him!!!

Very clear, guides you step by step into becoming a better writer. If English is not your first idiom, his class will really improve both your knowledge and your style. He also has a lot of patience. He makes the course truly clear and understandable, and is always there for his students.

He is awesome. Super easy grader. 4 essays, but they are cake! He is one of the best prof. to get a hold of & really helps you out if you have questions. Does take attendance, so attending class is a must. no finals or midterms & got an A in his class!

Do not talk while he is giving the conference. He is a fair grader. When grading, he gives more importance to organization, clarity, use of Thesis Statement, Warrants, Topic Sentences, sentence structure, and flow. If you show interest in the class, you might assure at least a B. You do not have to participate constantly.

This is my first year here, and I chose Golden. He's awesome, he has patience with students and gives you plenty of times to write essays. One conference draft, a second draft, then third draft is final. Extremely nice, and tries his hardest to get his point across. In class, is mostly group work. DOES TAKE ATTENDANCE EVERY CLASS. I recommend him!

He is a really nice guy and kind of reminds me of Michael Cera. His class is not as easy as made out to be by other posts, but it isn't hard either. You have to go to class, and you have to have the book. He doesn't just give A's on essays, he actually reads them and grades them accordingly. I have always gotten A's on essays and gotten B on his.

Professor Andrew Golden is an awesome teacher! I was hesitant about all of the group work but it is all in class and it helps to pass the time. Pick people you enjoy and have fun. He cracks jokes on occasion and grades papers leniently. Just sit in the front and when he asks someone to read, do it! He enjoys when you are attentive and involved.

I took both Enc 1101 and Enc 1102 with this professor and I have to say he is extremely helpful. Leaniant and understanding of student problems, I took his hybrid classes and if there was ever a problem online he will help very good teacher, I recommned him... He is also kind of cute :)

This guy is a pretty easy grader if you get on his good side-meaning you show that you like wallowing in complexity. I just got A's on all the major papers,4 of them, that's something I had never done before. Although he relies heavily on group activities so avoid if your anti social

Golden is okay. He tries to explain everything very thoroughly so he gives out a ton of little writing assignments which gets very annoying to do. Book is needed, & attendance is mandatory. He follows alot of guidelines to check a paper. I didnt think he was an easy grader. I passed with a C+ and a got a D on an essay I work the hardest on.

Golden is a great guy. At first I didn't like him. That changed when I met with him 1 on 1. He cares about his students and his class is pretty easy. Theres 3 papers and a timed writing essay. He reviews your rough drafts before you submit them which is cool. Great teacher, take him if you can.

I loved him! He's work load was not crazy. 3 essays, one timed writing. All the essays are done slowly and in parts, so it's not like you're just given a due date and done. His TA's were helpful and great too, take him if you can. Best teacher I've had so far.

He gives lots of assignments but those are really helpful for writing the 3 major assignments that you'll be asked to write for this class. Professor golden is the best professor I have ever had. I took him for enc 1101 and loved him so much that I took him for end 1102. He is a great guy and knows what he is talking about. He gives you feedback and will help you with your papers. He does give homework but it's only meant to help you like writing your intro paragraph. TAKE HIM!!!!!!!!!

One of the best english instructors I've had in my life. Its not hard to know what he's expecting of you. You'll pass this class if you do the HW he assigns and not because its counted toward your grade but because it helps a ton when writing the big paper assignments. The only thing I had problems with was not getting distracted by his hotness.

Compared to what I've heard from my friends, I definitely got lucky in choosing this professor. The assignments are rather challenging and difficult but he provides great feedback and the other smaller writing assignments he gives out are quite helpful when looking at the bigger picture. Highly recommend taking him!

I'm currently in one of his ENC 1101 classes. He is really professional and friendly. He gives small writing assignments besides the 3 major writing ones that will determine 60% of your final grade (20% each paper). Approachable, you can ask him anything and he will give you good feedback. I have an A right now. I will definitely take him again!

Pretty easy to pass, there is homework but its really easy and could be done in under 20 minutes, we have 2 drafts for essays and one final draft so it could help you get a good grade. overall. he is very understanding and good at engaging the class.

Easy class. I did not use the textbook at all; you'll do just fine without it. He takes attendance every class. There's homework every class but they're small writing assignments that can easily take 10 minutes. He gives feedback and genuinely cares about making you a better writer.

He is amazing! He made my first year in college a lot better and a lot less stressful. You must come to class and you must complete all major writing assignments or else you won't pass but the assignments he gives are fun and so are his lectures. He lets you write freely sometimes and allows you to grow as a writer. He is funny and understanding.

I took the hybrid and there was a 250 word assignment almost every MWF. But the assignments really help you on your papers and he gives a good chunk of time to do the bigger assignments. There is busy work but he is a good professor, he tries to make class fun

I took ENC 1102 in my spring semester with Professor Golden and I absolutely loved him!!! He cared about his students so much and always gave the best feedback on every paper. The class consists of one group project and 4 papers. Highly recommend for everyone to take him, you won't regret it. EASY A!!!

Professor Golden is an outstanding professor! He goes over all the topics you have to write about and specifies what he wants. He along with the TA's give you a lot of feedback on your first and second draft in order to receive a good grade. You barely have to use the textbook, but attendance is mandatory. Very easy class, definitely recommend him!

Mr. Golden was a great teacher for me. He not only motivated my writing, but motivated my soul. I greatly enjoyed his class and made writing fun. He even incorporated de-stressing meditation into our Friday meetings. I HIGHLY recommend choosing him.

Honestly I found his class to be very easy and the grading to be very fair. The class mainly consists on group projects with topics he lets you pick. A good choice!

I took his class for Spring 2021 and all you have to do is turn in your work. The work load is manageable, if you stay ahead of time. He assigns homework every two days. We only had three papers with little assignments between.

This class is an easy A. I honestly barely put any effort into my assignments and the TA's would always give me an A. There are a lot of assignments but they are extremely easy. Take this class if you want an easy A.

He assigns continuous work (which isn't even that bad) but its doable. If you ever need an extension or help on literally anything hes super caring and will gladly help you. I was the lazy type of student and still managed to pass his class with an A-. Highly recommend this teacher. Take him, trust.

This class is assignment heavy, however, he is an amazing professor who knows what he is doing and provides good feedback on your assignments to show you what you need to know and improve. He also is a fun professor who seems to enjoy what he is doing so his classes are entertaining.

I love professor Golden. He was super kind and he gave very good feedback on our papers. I took his class in a mini-term so the workload was a bit heavy but manageable. We basically worked on one paper over the duration of the course, and we pick the topic ourselves. Overall I really enjoyed professor golden's teaching style, would take again.

Professor Golden is such a nice person, and he really cares about his students and wants you to succeed. I took the class in half a term, so there was a lot more work than one would usually get, but it was nothing hard. The rubrics are clearly stated and he grades very leniently. He also has a token system, and will give you and extension if asked.

Best ENC 1101 teacher out there i promise. I do not regret taking this class at all. Trust me when I say you really want to take this teacher, you are guaranteed to have fun while passing his class. Not too much HW and the essay assignments are NOT tedious... They ARE Do-able.

Prof. Golden is one of the best teachers I have had to date! I was nervous I was going to fail because I signed up for the Mini Term without knowing, I only stayed in the class after the first day because that expressed cared about our grade and understood that we cant always come to class or turn things in on time.

I really enjoyed being in his class. You can tell he cares about his students and our work. He's really chill and gives extensions on assignments if needed. If you don't like a heavy workload class though, don't take him. He does give a lot of work but if you're in class everyday and do it during that time where he can help you it should be easy.
