Cons: No hmwrk so ur grade is based on 4 exms. 25 mult choice quest also means 25-3=B, 25-6=C... and so on. Mayb tempted to skip evrydy. Speaks fast! So type notes if u can. All he does is read from powerpoints and ramble for awhile. Barely lets you take notes. Your whole grade is based off of 3 exams and thats pretty much it. WINTER TERM: Pro. Herst is a great teacher. However, if you the HYBRID course make sure you stay on top of your assignments. Even if you finished a chapter continue on or else you will struggle. Take detailed notes on side notes, names, and diagrams on every chapters AND read the course content notes (THEY WILL BE ON QUIZZES and EXAMES).

I can't say he was a bad professor because it could have been a lot worse. He is just kind of boring. But as long as you read the book and take notes during the lecture you will pass his class. It was an easy A if you ask me.

Honestly, Professor Herst was so laid back. Sometimes I didn't attend class and still passed with a B. There are practice tests to study so you can pass his tests. P.S go to the psychology help lab so they can show you where the practice test is, Herst doesn't tell you.

He was really open and honest with his students. He wouldn't move on in the lesson unless he knew everyone understood. He didn't care too much for attendance, he preferred that we do more individual work. If individual work doesn't for you, then you can always reach him outside of class.

He's a great Professor! I recommend if you are taking this class online he is super easy and lays out what's due at the beginning. He is also understanding that things come up and offers extra credit on exams which I loved.

While Professor Herst is a slow grader the online class is straight forward. Read textbook, take notes, discussion post, take quiz/test. If you are good at time-management I HIGHLY recommend this class.

Professor is really chill and caring, but for some reason today was not his best day. When I attended class on time, he talked about our assignment paper, and then imediately left the class without notice. He was the only one who left the class, while we were still in our chairs looking confused. This act was extremely unprofessional!

Started in Summer 1. Do not take this man. You'll regret it. The notes given in class are not in the quizzes or exam. It's his discussion you'll need to pay attention to but sometimes you won't understand what he's trying to say. He loves saying "make sense" all the time and I'm like "no it doesn't make sense". Heed my advice "DON'T TAKE HIM".

Prof. Herst is a nice and easy going guy -- and you can tell that from an online class. But he takes a long time to grade and does not have the discussion post homework up on Blackboard. Overall his curriculum is relatively easy. Every week its just a discussion post and quiz. Quizzes and Exams are open book but timed! Would take again.

I complained to Mr. Herst about Deneen Gammons that she was being racist, creating an unsafe working environment, and telling students that they had mental illnesses based on their political beliefs. Mr Herst felt it was responsible to ask the teacher to look into the complaints herself where she began to threaten me with retaliation
