Professor Keating is a great teacher. Peer editing is an important part of the class. Every essay written goes through a rigorous revision process. He utilizes Google drive to review your writing process. He gives sufficient time for each essay. He is willing to work with you, just ask him. He gives great feedback to help students succeed.

need to attend class to be able to understand what he is requiring for his papers. If you don't attend class you will be very lost but he records every class session which you can go into the goggle page he has and go over.

It would be great if maybe the first days could be on reviewing the use of the class website. However, the videos that are made to help a student step by step, are very helpful.

Reading the book makes completing the assignments much easier. Also, the videos posted are a life-line because they show the step-by-step process for completing and submitting the assignments. Some would say the assignments are tedious, however, after completing them I feel better prepared to present an argument in a logical manner.

Good professor, however you will have to adjust to google+ & docs, ect. Basically say bye to original Microsoft word & PowerPoint & be prepared to learn a whole new website through youtube videos, EVEN THOUGH we PAY to use Pearson you won't use it just for the book. If it were up to him he'd probably put the book on google+ as well.

Teacher teaches well he explains what he wants and if you do not understand a specific assignment he will go over it. I think that he is clear what he explains and is not a hard class. I think that the class is a bit demanding but overall a good class. This is my second semester with this teacher and I would definitely take him again.

The class overall in my perspective is easy, just you need to be dedicated on the assignments. Compared to my first Comp. I professor Andrew Keating did an okay job teaching. The teachers class was a fun class to be in. The classmates were really helpful especially when it came to group projects. If you were lost in the class all you had to do was ask your partner or ask the teacher. The teache would always help you out when you did not understand the assignment. Although English is not my strongest subject it was a ok.

I took Mr. Keating for comp 1 and comp 2, and found his classes to be fair and got a good understanding of how to use google apps. He will put you to work on a paper with a partner, I do not like group projects.

His class is good. He help you but you have to ask. There is a lot of work and you need to learn how to use google tools. I didn't like working in groups. It will be good to select your own partner. Sometimes he get's confuse with some details of homework but he always try to do what is best for students. Really helpful

He uses google apps which are easy to use and great when working in essays with a partner. He will make you choose a topic at the beginning of the semester and then work in an essay giving arguments why you choose that topic because there will be an opposing team that will be against you in a debate.

I can really say that his class has improved a lot, from last semester. I think I learned more this semester from his class, also because I had to worked alone through the research paper, I can tell that I did learn because the grades that I got were by my effort and work, I like the way he works in class but he could explain better his assingments

The professor was very explicit on his expectations and also created a website with the schedule for the entire semester. He also recorded each class which also helped students go back and view something that might not have been understood during class. I loved the fact that he taught us how to write by using a scaffolding approach.

I enjoyed the class, it's just having to do all assignments on time and follow the rubrics provided to achieve good grades. I would take this class again, because the professor does a great job at teaching and providing feedback d help when needed.

Professor Keating is by far a really good professor. His class is certainly no to memorize stuff from textbook but he expect for his students to learn the material and be able to apply it in in class work as well as in the quizzes. At first, learning the new technology might be a little overwhelming. Stick it out because, once you get it, you'll love the new programs you will learn to use. There is plenty of feedback. You will receive feedback from Keating or your peers on nearly every part of your assignment. The revision process is emphasized in his class.

Great class overall, the professor was very clear in explaining everything and actually wants his students to succeed but makes you work hard to get those high grades. This course definitely taught me that if I want to pass I have to get all my draft backs done which is 1,000 per paragraph. Plenty of feedback is given by the professor which helps.

Mr. Keating is a very good professor for English Composition. He assisted me with my writing skills that other professors never touched. He helped me develop great writing skills by his assignments which had a great ending to them. These assignments assisted me in getting better at my writing skills by following his steps.

Our final exam was a reflective essay on our growth as a writer and what we learned in his class.

It as a pretty difficult class, but I did learn a lot from it. Not only did we learn about writing but we also learned about google chrome and it's documents. This class took up a lot of time but it's all worth it at the end.

Mr. Keating's class was one of my favorites class this school year. He has a very clear understanding of the lessons he teach, and although his methods are unorthadox, they've worked.

Expect to actually read in his class and be ready for the Socratic seminars. You will use Google programs a lot and it might be confusing at first but he will guide you through them. well the course requires laptop/computer interaction all the time, so if a student wants, they can bring their laptop but if they don't have one, he provides an entire cart of laptops for the students.

Mr. Keating was a great professor, he interacted with the class and made sure everyone felt comfortable. He wasn't afraid of students having different views than he did and always made sure to listened. Gave good feedback on homework that was assigned, definitely improved my writing skills.

Learned many things from this professor and he had a lot of motivation to give to the class.

Keating is a great teacher for always checking his emails and returning a message for any class related issues or assignments. Also Keating knows what he is talking about for his lectures. Keatings lectures are intriguing and well though out for the lessons.

Mr. Keating's class was an interesting experience. Not only did he cover the topics in the exams, the work he assigned was easy, if you paid attention in class, and his assigned readings were actually interesting. He is an understanding and considerate instructor, and I would retake his class in a heartbeat.

Throughout the year Mr. Keating was a very good instructor. He made sure to go through all of the topics and also used many different types of activities to help his students learn. For example, he did Socratic Seminars for those students who learn by hearing, also projects, like posters, for those who are more creative, and so on.

My course review for this year in English 2 was about learning good writing can vary from closed to open forms. Good writers address problems rather than topics. Good writers think about purpose audience and genre. Good writers must wallow in complexity. A strong thesis surprises readers with something new. an introduction starts with the problem,

I didn't mind being in the class. I came half of the semester then left but the class was over all easy but i had personal issues that made me have a difficult time for myself but if i wouldn't have left i would've been able to do finish the course with good grades

He's a good teacher a great philosopher and gives out his opinions on things are happening around the world.

Throughout the school year in Mr. Keatings class was mainly easy. All you had to do was pay attention in his class and make sure to do your assignments. The assignments he assigned weren't very hard, you just had to make sure you turned it in on time. He was a great instructor who also made sure we engaged with peers to learn a thing or two.

Mr. Keating is a very wise teacher who understands his craft very well. He's very well versed in how to instruct a class and is very familiar with what he teaches. Mr. Keating has yet to let me down with an uninteresting class and (if it were an option) I would definitely take his class again.

Mr. Keating is a good teacher that helps with critical thinking and opens the mind to more ideas and angles of vision. In the class, i learned many new things about life and whats more important to focus on. It has helped me analyze things that i wouldn't normally focus on.

Mr. Keating is a teacher who goes beyond the call of duty. He takes time out of his schedule, and day to make sure that you understand the materials he has lectured in class so you can become a better rhetorical writer. His teaching method is clear, and concise that delivers the topic at hand to you with easy.

When I first entered the classroom I thought Mr. Keating was going to be a strict, closed minded teacher but as I got to know him he was the complete opposite. Mr. Keating made me open my mind to many topics and always made me want to know more about anything he talked about.

At the beginning of the year I thought Mr Keating's class would be boring and that I would spend most of my time sleeping through it. I was dead wrong. Mr Keating gave lectures that captured your attention, and really made you think. He is for sure one of my favorite teachers ever. The writing in his class is tough but it's always very interesting.

He is a special teacher because he has a way of approaching a student's heart. He is the most wise person I've spoke to. He influenced my life for good by giving me very good advises. He is unique, comprehensive, and he would put the hands on the fire for his students. He enlighten every single student including me. Thank you Mr. Keating.

This class was full of learning experiences, from style and document design and autobiographical narratives to rhetorical analysis and classical argument essays. There is never a moment when you are not learning anything new. Mr. Keating always makes sure that you understand the topic and is always open to discussing the topic further.

I expected this class to be one of my least favorites due to some opinions that I had heard way before coming here. I challenged myself to choose Mr. Keating as my english teacher but let me tell you it was not bad at all. His lectures where always clear and consistent, i mean his knowledge amazed me.. it made me want to learn more in depth.

I didn't expect much from English teachers in my school since it's not specialized in that category but I was shocked at how complex and in depth his lectures were and not only that but the conversations sparked inside the classroom were always intriguing and fun. Easy class if you do your work diligently & pay attention, I learned a lot from him.
