Tests are kind of hard but his curve makes it very fair in the end. He's young and relates to the students well. Lecture slides are well organized and easy to take notes off of. Seems to be a cool guy and it shows he loves what he does. I'd recommend him.

This class is pretty easy.Most of the time you take notes off of the powerpoint slides,but it's not very fun after a while. Study the notes and you should do great!

KIM RULES. i suck at psych, and i still got an A. take good notes, all the tests and quizzes are off them. you dont even have to take notes actually. just pay attention!

He wants everyone to learn and tries hard to get students to get more involved in discussions, but can become easily annoyed by students with the wrong answer, which of course makes students not want to throw out potentially wrong answers. He does make the class very easy to get a good grade in .

i loved this professor, his class is somewhat difficult if you miss days or take bad notes but if u put in minimal effort u will do great. he gives really great lectures and keeps u interested, he makes it so the students can relate, highly recommended.

I was at Citrus between 2004-06 and while I was there Dr. Kim and Dr. Lubisich (history) were the two best professors I've had. He doesn't seem to get the respect he deserves - PHD from UCLA - and he only looks 21 years old! If you're a serious student and looking to transfer to a 4 year or just learn I recommend taking Intro Psych with him.

i had never taken a psych class and prof. kim made it sooo interesting! silly metrosexual man who likes to swear lol. no homework EVER. just the midterms and final. mult. choice. class very easy and interesting. when studying the book for tests: just read the bullet notes on the side and ull pass!

I took his drug/alcohol class. He clearly distinguishes which drugs are bad, which are hype, and offers a fresh perspective I didn't expect. It's not another "just say no" class, it makes you think. Difficulty, it was OK. When reading the book focus more on the history & impact on society and just gloss over the complex chemistry stuff.

Kim is a great teacher, very easy to follow and very helpful. Study for the quizzes, reading is not mandatory. He's always able to help review anything. At times, he can be a bit arrogant.

OMG I LOVE this class!!! I didn't know what to expect before taking it but you learn so much, not just sex but social issues too. Professor makes it easy to talk about the issues. Wait until he demonstrates the "piledriver" in class ha ha ha!!!

Professor Kim is extremely in touch with his students and uses this to teach and teach well. I learned a lot from his class, which is based entirely on the knowledge you get from listening to him and NOT homework assignments that don't help you learn anything but hate for school. I recommend him to all my friends at Citrus.

i loved this class! he is a great teacher! extremely helpful, and he makes the class supper fun. You can tell this guy loves what he does. not to mention hes so adorable. I'm in the final week of his summer school class and must say he is one of my favortie teachers of all time. A lot of fun, very easy is you just follow along and take notes, he uses the book but very minimal, I did barely any reading. This professor was an amazing instructor! I had no desire what so ever to even take this class but I needed to and I am so glad I ended up with him as a professor. This class was so easy! It was three hours during the summer semester but he kept your attention the entire time. The paper is easy and manageable to do. Don't bother buying the textbook. He puts few questions on the test from it and I never read the book. I ended up with an A! Take him and you'll love him. He's hilarious!

Mr. Kim is a great instructor! He not only makes lecture interesting, but funny as well! His lectures are very thorough (with power points for notes)but it always helps to read the text (he tells you exactly what pages are needed, rather than whole chapters). Awesome guy...great professor!

Oh, how I loved this class. It was on Friday. In the morning, but I still adored it. Professor Kim is amazing! He's so much fun and he really helps you understand the material. There isn't any homework except for one paper (I didn't write it) and I didn't have the book either, but I didn't need it with him!

His class is easy.. Just take good notes especially his examples because his example of scenarios will be on the test or somewhat similar.. you must understand the concept rather than memorizing definition though. Funny guy!! and better participate or you will lose points!

Great professor! He is very funny and makes Psychology fun. If you come to class and listen to his lectures you will do great. All of the tests are multiple choice and I would say 85% of the material is from his lecture and about 15% from the book. Listen to his stories, ask question if you don't understand, and take notes you'll love his class

I needed this class for nursing and Dr. Kim made it very interesting! You'll get on his good side by participating a lot and not if you show up late. To whoever said he's just multiple choice, he gives short essay tests too! They're not that hard though if you take good notes in class =)

Mr. Kim is AMAZING. He is very blunt and very clear on exactly what he expects from you. The tests are 85% from the book and 15% from his notes. He is VERY strict on tardiness so show up on time and you'll be fine. He is hilarious and keeps you awake in class.

Great Professor, he really cares about his students doing well. He respects his students and tries to keep the class interesting. You'll need to think laterally for the multiple choice questions, so study and make sure you understand the concepts. He likes class participation, so be prepared to contribute. Other than that, it's a fairly easy class.

Andrew Kim is by far the best psych professor at citrus college. He cares about his students and wants them to pass. You will definitely pass the class is you volunteer and do the extra credit. Super easy class! Online course consist of 4 exams and one week of discussion post. No homework at all! Just read the book and you should be able to pass every test with an A. Make sure you post more than once during discussion week.

I needed this class for nursing and I've always been interested in psychology and Dr. Kim made the class one that I actually wanted to go to. You do need to pay attention and take notes but only need to skim over them for good test grades. Never used the book. Skipped 4 classes and still ended up with an A!

In terms of his job he does it well but is prone to diva like antics when he feels disrespected. Trouble is we don't know what we did wrong until after he drops everything and is just glaring at you. The mostly positive reviews here must be from teacher's pets because he shows favoritism to people sitting up front who raise their hands a lot.

The vast majority of Kim's lectures will stick with you. He has a PhD in psychology and applies what he knows about how the brain works to his teaching methods. It's not about making things hard it's about allowing students to retain knowledge. Take this class even if just for fun.

Dr. Kim managed to make a class that should have been boring and tedious fun and stimulating! He has a great sense of humor, is always prepared for lecture, and his examples from pop culture are amusing and his explanations on how the principles of development apply to our lives are profound. TAKE GOOD NOTES and study the slides to ace the exams!

I loved Andrew he was the best Professor ever. Ask questions in class and don't feel stupid. He is hilarious, mostly Lecture and note taking but he makes it really interesting. I might take Psych 205 just to have him as a teacher again.

Prof. Kim is definitely in my top 5 favorite profs at Citrus. He is so funny, he really cares about his subject, and he really wants everyone to succeed if you deserve to. He was gone for 1/4 of the semester so I didn't get the full Andrew Kim experience but he is still awesome. 3 exams, 1 paper.

Professor Kim is hilarious which makes lecture go by quick. If you show up to class he will reward you with simple questions from class on exams. Exams are not that difficult and their is an opt out available on the final exam. One of the best Citrus has to offer

Professor Kim is by far one of the best professors I've had. He makes his class so fun & just makes you want to learn more. There is no homework what so ever, he uploads power points onto canvas, your grade is basically your attendance, and test scores. Participating helps too. AMAZING professor who cares about his students and teaches in a "student friendly" manor which helps understand the topics entirely. Professor Kim is super funny and all of his exams are based off of lecture content. There are 3 midterm exams and he takes the best 3 out of 4 and drops your lowest grade, depending on how you did on all of the other exams. Overall, he is a great professor and I highly recommend him.

I took his online class and it was fairly easy. You were only graded on your test scores and the tests were very easy to complete and get high scores. He always emailed us something encouraging or related to psychology. I would definitely take him again if he teaches anymore psychology classes. He provides a PDF of the textbook. Professor Kim is a really good teacher who knows his stuff. He gives you a PDF of the textbook so you don't have to buy it and he will post his lectures online. You have to pay attention and take notes on his power points because his test are based off of them. Flash cards will help you the most to prepare for the tests, too.

His lectures are easy to follow and everything you are tested on is covered in his lectures. He provides good example to help explain concepts. Took professor Kim online this semester of course, class was super easy. Only 5 exams, no hw and one exam was optional. Easy A. Made this crazy year less stressful.

The entire class was 5 tests, the tests weren't difficult if you study for 30 minutes to an hour and watch the videos he assigned. If I had questions he always answered in a way I could understand. Highly recommend this class.

Hes funny. You have to listen to his lectures really well and take detailed notes down if you want to do well in his exams. 90 percent of the answers come from his lectures that are posted in VoiceThread. Hes really nice and theres not a lot of homework for his class. He provides you the textbook pdf for free.

Loved this class and the way that professor Kim only grades 4 things that are quizzes. Super easy breezy class for those who need an A and also who want to learn about Psychology. Stress free class and was able to take 6 other classes along with it. If you need another course that is not hard this is it.

Super easy A. 6 exams (25 questions) plus 1 discussion board. The discussion board was graded the hardest. Not your typical discussion board. Submit your entry early, the later the submission, the lower the grade, and be sure to participate in the discussion with suitable content, not just "I like your argument." I wished this class was in-person.

Professor Kims class was an absolute delight ! I really enjoyed his lectures. There was only 4 exams and some discussion boards. As long as you listen to the lectures and take good notes, passing the exams should be easy ! Thank you Professor Kim for keeping things simple among a very stressful time !

Really great professor and easy class. But fair waring the grade is based off of six tests so if you fail more than one it's going to definitely mess up your grade, he does drop the lowest one so you technically get one free skip.

I took Kim for PSY 101 and PSY 205. I learn mostly by lecture, and he always brought energy and explained things well in class and tried to entertain at least a little. Responds to emails quickly and happy to give help if you ask.

I very much enjoyed being in his class. He made the subject matter interesting to talk about and he didn't try to overcomplicate the info. It's worth going to every class because you might miss important info on tests like answers. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to his lectures and it's very important to keep notes in this class!

If you want a good psychology professor who cares about their students, I highly recommend taking Professor Kim's class. He's attentive to his students questions, and their ideas.
