This guy is GREAT. Tests are mult. choice and gives a practice test before the test. He curves and drops questions like CRAZY. If alot of people skip, he'll give extra points to those who are there. He's also good at TEACHING and very laid back.

This guy makes all kinds of screw-ups in class, but you eventually end up learning the material and if you don't, there's always the opportunity to have a cheat sheet on the test. Take him if you get the chance.

Drew is such a nice friendly and generous guy, he goes out of his way to help and he loves anyone that will be friends with him, hes just a good person who wants you to learn stats, take him for a good grade and a good understanding of statistics

Best teacher you can get for cob191. I sacrificed taking his class mon wed fri at 8:00 am so i could get him and never regretted it for a second. Went to most classes, didnt do a single homework, still did good. Tries to help you to get an A pretty much.

Tests are multiple choice but he still gives partial credit; there are quizes on the internet for every chapter but you dont have to get all the questions right to get 100%. He gives practice tests that are so similar to the real test all you have to do is study them. Most deffinitely the easiest A for COB 191

The best 191 teacher around. I probably went to 8 classes all semester and still got a B. When i did go to class he was very helpful and understanding. Tests are fairly easy if you just glance over the material the day before.

Best Stats Teacher! No Questions Asked! Soo Soo Helpful! Professor Koch is really interested in helping you learn. Holds review sessions and has practice tests before each exam. Also posts powerpoint slides and quizzes on blackboard (which all my friends used for their exams since no other professor does this!) Can't go wrong with Professor Koch!

Drew is an absolutely amazing teacher to have; he learns everyone's first name, and is very friendly to everyone. He tries to tell jokes, but they unfortunately fall flat because it's an 8 AM. He will pretty much do anything in his power to help you understand the concept, and it's an excellent class overall to take.

Professor Koch is extremely helpful and fair. Attendance is extra credit, not manadatory. His exams are only 20 questions (mult choice), but he does give partial credit. He flat out tells you what you need to know, and what you can skip over. The only hard thing was the final bc it was department made and cumulative. TAKE HIM, hes great! :o)

go to class..you get an attendance bonus. no need to buy the book. notecard allowed for every test. all MC but still gives partial credit. he is very fair. material can get confusing but theres lots of EC oppurtunities. he's funny, nice, and "cool" and makes u want to go to his 8am

Great professor. Grades based upon 4 multiple choice tests (formula notecards are allowed for each), online quizzes, excel project, final exam, and very generous extra credit opportunities. Extremely approachable as far as questions go and is always willing to go out of his way to help. Makes a tough subject relatively easy. Highly recommended.

Great professor. His classes always do better on the department-wide final, and he does a good job teaching all of the chapters. Attendance isn't mandatory, but there is extra credit involved for those who go. Averages always in the high 80's. Don't worry about the 8 am time!!! TAKE HIM

Koch is a great professor. He understands that stats at 8 am is boring and will usually let you out of class early. Gives enough extra credit throughout the semester to help you out if you take the opportunities. Showing up for class will earn you extra credit at times throughout the semester. Tests were not bad and I thought the final was easier!

This is by far one of the best 191 professors out there. You have to really screw up to do poorly in this class. Show up to class and you get extra credit. Do the practice tests before the tests because they are similar and you should be fine. Plus you can bring a notecard for every test. Drew is a cool guy who wants students to do well.

Drew is one cool dude. He really wants everyone to do well and makes it so that if you attend class you receive extra credit at the end of the semester. Lectures are very easy to follow and the notes are exactly what the online quizes come from. I would fight for any open spot in this class!!

Drew is the most personable professor I've had at JMU. His jokes are subtle at times, but if you catch them, they're absolutely hilarious. He makes getting up for an 8 AM class easy. He knows the material forwards and backwards, and is extremely helpful. You cannot go wrong with Prof. Koch.

One of my fav teachers at JMU!I'm retaking 191 to do cob 300 since they changed requirements. he has made it a breeze! I have a 98% & have one test and the final left to complete. His test are fair compared to others. group quizes. 2 excel.lets class out early &gives power point slides unlike my other professor. Thanks Mr Koch for being awesome!!!

IF YOU WANT AN A, TAKE THIS CLASS. SERIOUSLY. Not very good with office hours. Talk to him and get t o know him so he will like you. Class is only 30 minutes because he works part time and he has to leave to get to his other job. So nobody asks questions in class because he needs to hurry up and get through his teaching. Just do your work.

Drew is absolutely the man! People may say he is "easy", yes that is true because he teaches us what we need to know. While taking the final, he probably prepared us the most out of all the other teachers. My favorite class this year, definitely take him.

Drew Koch is kind of a corky guy and makes a lot of shallow jokes in class but all in all is a good teacher. He knows what he is talking about. His quizzes are group work and the tests are easy. You have one big excel project that is easy if you follow the guidelines. Overall this class is a must take!

TAKE HIM. 3 GROUP quizzes, 3 tests with multiple notecards on all of them. An extremely easy excel project (most people got 100s) and the department final. I am terrible at math and i got a B+ in his class so an A is totally manageable for those who are actually good at it. Took his 8am MWF and got out 10-15 minutes early every class. TAKE HIM.

Professor Koch is one of the most amazing people you will ever come across in JMU. He has an adorable sense of humor and is SUPER sweet. His class is not hard, and he is very fairstraightforward with his tests and grading. Talk to him about any situation you might have, he is very understanding and accommodating. He only teaches 30 out of 50 mins. 75% of class is him reading his powerpoint, doesn't really elaborate. If you go back you realize that the information is super vague. The other 25% of class is him trying to be cool but ends up with you not knowing whats going on anymore. He doesn't do many practice problems at all which is annoying. He is nice

Andrew is the best professor I've had. All the tests are based on his power-points and gives you a practice test that is almost identical to the real test. He also lets you use a cheat sheet on the tests which makes it very easy to get an A in the class.

Drew was such a great choice for 191. He is great teacher and explains the information well. He is also really funny and makes having an 8 am enjoyable. Anyone that does not give him a 5 needs to drop their COB major. He is one of the nicest and most caring people I have ever met-- nicest professor by far. If you go to class and take good notes, you will be completely fine. He even tells you certain parts in class that is likely going to be on the exam in some form. 10/10 recommend. He's the man.
