This man is the king of physics. I hated physics 1 but enjoyed physics 2. He really will help his students if they are not getting the materials. He offers test corrections. This man is great if you have an option to take him I suggest you do.
Took during Covid Mess and Loveridge it doable. I didnt do too well in PHY 317K, but Loveridge made the topics easy to understand in 317L. His homeworks are tough, but there are discussions to help, and if you can figure them out, the test is very similar to the homeworks. 3 midterms and 1 cumulative final, all quest based, I midterm drop.
I took Physics 2 Lab Online during the 2nd semester summer session. Two lab reports due every week, 8 in total PLUS a final where you have to design your own lab. I probably devoted 15 hours a week to this course. The workload does not match the 1 hour of credit, but there's not much you can do about that. :/
The class itself was interesting, and my LI was very nitpicky. Be sure to ask for example lab reports and how exactly the LI will be grading them. ASK FOR HELP with the statistical methods if it isn't clear to you. Read through the instructions carefully and ask if certain parts should go on the lab report. Lab partners were all great for me.
The material was more interesting than the first section during the summer, and my LI for this section was great! The final project was to make a lab which was somewhat difficult, so ask for help from your LI or Dr. Loveridge if it comes to that. The lab partners were easygoing, and be sure to get emails or phone numbers to communicate.
Loveridge is very clear, concise lecturer and grader. It is very easy to understand him, and sometimes he does cool demonstrations to supplement the lecture. His hw was fair, a bit long, so don't do it last second. Exams are very very fair and relatively easy. Overall great physics professor
The physics online labs are awful. The lab reports are written so poorly it takes me so long and multiple TA office hours to figure out what they mean. The TAs in the class don't seem to know exactly what they're doing either. This lab is more like a statistics class than a physics class.
It all depends on your TA for physics lab. Some are really bad, and some are really good. Hope you get lucky, or learn to adapt to your TA's grading style.
I've never even had any contact with Loveridge himself, only the awful TAs. Lab reports are graded hard and very difficult, in addition to a lack of clear instructions from the TAs. No TA to my knowledge gave out a 30/30 no matter how good the lab report. In addition, the final is unbelievably difficult and you will not have enough time to finish.
Prof pretty much had 0 contact with students outside piazza. Online labs were always vague and grading came down to your TA, so if you get a nit-picky one you're kind of screwed. Lab itself isn't too difficult but there's barely any physics involved, it's just statistics. The final was ridiculous (3 experiments in less than 2 hrs how is that fair?)
This rating is more for the idea of this class. It all depends on your TA. The final was horrible and there were little to no details provided about it until the very last minute not to mention it got leaked for later sections- a mess overall. The lab itself does not even really cover physics, a lot of statistics. Horrible experience.
This class sucks so bad LIKE SO UNBELIEVABLY BAD. I would say don't take it but like ik most of the ppl taking this are forced to bc i mean who tf wants to take physics lab voluntarily! All I can say is if you have chenyang as ur TA, try to switch after the first class or it's just gonna be a terrible semester.
Do u want to spend 5+ hrs a week on lab reports just to get 10-15 points off bc u did smth wrong according to a nonexistent rubric? This class is perfect! The TINIEST "mistake" will cost u 3-10 points instantly. Lab practical had a failing average btw. Grading experience depends on TA. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DON'T GET CHENYANG AS UR TA.
TBH, no one in this course will own up to their mistakes or apologize for issues. TA's do not grade clearly or consistently. Many TA's do not work hard to answer your questions during office hours. The final exam was accidentally posted on canvas, it took hours for an instructor to address the issue, and I do not believe it was handled fairly.
Even though the class counts for 1 hour, I worked about 10 hours each week to perfect my lab reports. You work with a partner for each report, and you have to be incredibly tedious to do well. It's possible to do well, just get ready to study lots of statistics and work hard.
2nd time taking physics lab (not really something we can get out of), but the course really depends on TA. The first semester TA was awfully tough, 2nd semester TA wasn't AS nit-picky but it seems like Loveridge wants the TAs to take points off for tiny mistakes to keep some average letter grade in the course. Totally tedious course for no reason
This class is only worth 1 credit hour, but I spent at least six hours a week on labs. You always have a lab partner, but if you wanna do well, you'll probably end up doing most or all of each lab on your own. Also, your experience in this class is very dependent on your TA. Some TAs explain the labs well, while others don't explain them at all.
No matter what you do, do not take this lab with Loveridge, not like you will have him as a teacher anyway, because your teaching quality and grading is SOLELY determined by the TA's. They are not required to grade off of any rubric or anything. In other words, you are screwed no matter how hard you work. Good luck.
Took his lab course over the summer, so I expected it to be very time-consuming and demanding. We are a week away and they still have not figured out when we are taking it, how we are taking it, and how long we will have. The level of disorganization in this class is astounding. Lab protocols are confusing and you HAVE to go to OH's to get answers
Worst class ever. You have to take it as a pre-med. The grade depends on the TA. The instructions are super vague, and you get points taken off for criteria you didn't know existed. Least favorite class I've taken at UT by far.
1 hour lab but takes 4 hours a week outside of class. TAs grade RIDICULOUSLY hard. This is probably a required course for you, but if its not, for the love of god, TAKE SOMETHING ELSE.
I never saw Loveridge, only my TA, who did not grade fairly in my opinion. I never got full credit for an assignment, no matter what I did and believe me, I put great effort in. This is the second time I've been in one of Loveridge's labs and it was just as bad.
Grade entirely dependent on your TA. The lab manuals have too much ambiguity in my opinion and need more details regarding what is expected from students on the lab report. The pre-lab quiz could be formatted better to help prep for the lab. You get a lab partner for the semester. The lab practical was ridiculous and the class avg. was failing.
Everything about this lab is ridiculous. 1) you never see the professor (grade is very TA dependent) he isn't even approachable 2) they call them "lab notes" when it's 100% a lab report. Don't let them fool you. They will grade you hard and will count off for things they ask u for 3) lab practical average is failing and they don't care :)
you won't ever meet Loveridge so the class is highly TA-dependent. The instructions for each lab are so vague so the TA has to tell you everything to do which is frustrating. Each week there are "lab notes" due but they are really long lab reports that take HOURS to do. The labs are fun and the assignments aren't hard just time-consuming.
Everything is based on your TA, and most of them have no idea what they're doing. HOWEVER, Loveridge is very helpful if you go into his office hours. I recommend going in if you're having any trouble. Worst part about the class is bad lab partners. Lab reports are pretty extensive, so make sure you pick good partners if you can.
was surprised to see such low reviews but I guess this class is super dependent on your TA. you don't interact w loveridge really but all content and instructions is very clearly laid out and he's available to help if you need it. my TA was super helpful and gave pretty good grades as long as you followed the guidelines
This is a lab run by TAs. Mine was good but it was mutually agreed that the labs were unnecessarily tedious and annoying. TA refers to Prof as "Angry Andrew" for some reason. He's super hands off and can only be reached if you go out of your way to find him. Just hope your TA is cool like mine. And lab partners, I had a few that tanked my grade.
So dependent on your TA. I was lucky to have gotten patient TAs who explained everything to me constantly (instructions for each lab and details for analysis were usually somehow... vague?) and weren't overly harsh graders. I have never seen Dr. Loveridge in my life. Communicate a lot with your TA about assignments and each lab to do well.
Your TA will grade each lab according to how they see fit. My TA averaged grading around an 80/85 per lab (9 in total). Lab practical at the end of the semester is a bit difficult; however, the class does get curved and an 86ish gets made an A. Never met the professor in person or online. Lab coursework is very doable and not overwhelmingly heavy.
I had a much better experience in Physics 2 Lab compared to 1, I felt like the reports were less difficult and thank goodness for no practical. Loveridge makes himself really inaccessible though, besides a few OH per week. Class is entirely TA dependent. I got lucky with a really nice and helpful TA Jatin. Make sure you get good lab partners too!!
Relative to what past reviews have said, this class has gotten so much better. I never personally met Dr Loveridge, but the lab was definitely doable this semester, and the final project was a scientific poster. The class is still a lot of work for only 1 credit hour (the reports take forever), but I liked this lab!
Never met prof. Grade fully TA dependent. Never expect a perfect score on anything but put in the effort and you can get an A. Weekly lab reports are long, DO NOT procrastinate or it will be very tedious to finish. The final exam was challenging but doable. Be ready to learn a lot of stats. Even the final tests this more than physics knowledge.
I took Dr. Loveridge for 105M & N and he was the kindest professor I have met. For 105N, my TA did not know what was going on so my lab partners and I attended his office hours everyday after lab for further explanation. He was kind, understanding, and clear with his explanations. He helped us learn the material very well. Dr. Loveridge is the BEST
never interacted with him -- only the TA so consider this a class review. It's doable to get an A but you have to work hard, and it's overly stressful imo. If you have a bad lab partner or a bad TA... good luck
Class was good. If you really want to get on his good side though, make sure you mention Missouri during office hours. He loves that place.
You almost never see this professor. The class however was fine. Your grade depends on your TA, but I thought that the grading criteria were well thought out and assignments were graded adequately. Most of the work is group work so get ready to work with others and keep clear communication.
Start lab reports early, communicate with your partner, and hope you have an understanding TA. Your grade partially relies on how hard they grade, but I believe the course is normalized so the TA grading doesn't affect final scores too much. Took both 105 M + N here at UT. Just don't procrastinate.
I never met the professor as the labs are graded and taught entirely by TAs; however, I enjoyed the class. The labs are generally manageable within the three hours. My only gripe with the class is the Lab Practical. This time-dependent exam puts you against the clock, which is difficult since there is no practice during class at all for this exam.
Never interacted with Loveridge but he answers questions quickly and seems nice. Your grades will depend on your TA. Lab and lab reports are annoying because the rubric and instructions are extremely vague. Pray you have a good TA and lab partner. Practical wasn't bad as long as you know all the analysis methods and work fast.
I never saw the professor once but the class was laid out from the start. Labs are very vague in order to get you to be creative. They are graded based on your TA so ask them why you lost points to make sure you get them on the next report. Lab practical was difficult due to the time limit but a long as you know how the analysis tools work it's ok.
Your grade is determined by your TA. The class wasn't too bad but if you're used to having some form of structure in your labs, this class lacks any of it. The practical wasn't as difficult as most people make it out to be. Just study your past labs and know how to do the calculations you've learned all semester.
I never saw the professor. The class felt like a bunch of busy work/math for basic physics concepts that were taught in high school. Incredibly tedious but relatively easy. Grading is probably reliant on your TA.
did not see dr. loveridge once. however, the lab was very easy. calculations are difficult at first but then very simple after a few mins of struggling. only spent about 2 hours outside of class per week on this class so it is very doable.
Grading is very TA dependent, make sure to follow the lab report rubric word by word even if it's frustrating. Call me naive, but the thing I awe about is that you have to reproduce the EXACT results that matches the theory or you get points off. Why spend the time to refine the data when you can fake the data? It's totally a bureaucracy thing.
The class is entirely TA-run, so it rly depends on how strict your TA is.Labs were simple but calculations were tedious.Weekly lab reports around 7-8 pg long. All labs are in groups of two that are randomly assigned, so you just have to hope you get a partner that is willing to contribute. Practical is a time crunch but rly similar to practice.
Grading consists of prelabs (completion), lab "notes" (reports), and practical. No lab structure, you basically design your own experiments and type your methods, data, and conclusions in your lab notes. Grading is super TA-dependent. Way too much work for a 1 hour class but not hard at all. Practical is not hard unlike what some people say.
Physics Lab II is much like Physics Lab I. The lab manuals are often quite dense and hard to read at times. But ultimately, the class depends on your TA. The final project was not too difficult as well. If in doubt, ask your TA on how they will grade.
the class is ok, as long as you do the homeworks and understand the underlying concepts - the tests will be easy for you. didn't really attend lectures because i found just watching yt videos to be more helpful - but not a bad class to take. of the better physics classes out there
The lab reports are 70% of the grade. The labs honestly aren't that hard, it's just that the lab instructions are very vague and it's up to the students to design their own experiments and collect data (which gets annoying). You're all set if you have a good group. Follow the rubric make sure ur group submits a detailed report. Not a hard class
Worst class I've taken at UT. Ridiculous amount of work for 1 credit hour. Labs instructions are vague and it was hard to know what we needed to do to not only set up the experiment, but also analyze it on the reports. Grading is TA dependent. Some people breeze by this class with a chill TA, but mine made this class an absolute nightmare.
Pray you get a TA that you can understand. Class is easy, but if you get a bad TA it makes it an unnecessary headache.
This class is unnecessarily hard. Lab notes are graded very subjectively - even after asking the TA to check my work, I would get points off. Asking for help is difficult bc they don't answer questions on Chatter or provide clear instruction. Lab practical was stressful.
It can be difficult to understand what your TA wants so communicate with them to determine how to do your lab reports. Difficult at first but okay when you get the hang of it, but the practical was stressful.
Given little instruction- u design your experiments, do a write up, and then submit those notes to be graded on technique and accuracy. It was hard and very confusing tbh. I NEVER knew what i was doing but my TA was chill and graded easy. You recreate 3 of the labs for the practical so try and understand the all the math and methods you use! trust.
Took Physics 2 w/ Dr. Loveridge last semester and he has been my favorite professor so far at UT. He is very understanding and genuinely cares about his students. Test were very fair, but they were also reasonably challenging so I felt like I learned a lot. Super helpful office hours and some extra credit. An A is very attainable!
Very heavily dependent on who you get for your TA. The rubrics are vague, you will get counted off for the smallest things depending on TA. This class is very "notes" heavy, and is a TON of work outside of class. The practical was very random in my opinion, and not representative of the course. Be ready for a very calculation heavy course.
Like everyone says, it's TA dependent. They do curve at the end to makeup for differences in TA grading, so don't worry too much if your TA grades a little harder than others. I thought Labs were significantly easier and faster than the Physics I labs. Try to get a good group, it helps A LOT, but you will have to change partners eventually.
Phys 1 lab wasn't too bad. TA gave us written guides for our experiments, so we'd just follow those and leave within 1.5 hours. Some labs are a headache, but you'll get pretty quick at typing up the weekly lab notes since they all follow the same format. Practical isn't too stressful as long as you know the analysis tools that we use in every lab.
rating of the course rather than the prof bc 0 interaction. idk i disliked this lab. so so tedious + vague, but u can and should finish the lab notes in the lab sesh and avoid dealing with them later. TA dependent- mine was v sweet but difficult to communicate w. practical was so so hard imo but i have no calc bckgrnd and vv weak physics knowledge.
Redos for half points back on exams, which have similar questions to the HWs. Optional video group project to replace lowest exam. The HWs were challenging at times but Loveridge always helped me out during OHs, and I felt that he genuinely cared about students. Even if you bomb an exam, it's possible to get an A! One of my fave classes and profs!
I have never met the actual professor but my TA was very great. He would give us written examples that truly did help everyone in the lab. However, this class heavily depends on what partner you have for the lab and how much of the material you know since this WILL be a difficult class if you don't know anything or have a bad partner.
Never met Loveridge. Everything depends on your TA and lab partners. Very hit or miss
Class structure was terrible. Final is meant to trick you and rubric is written in such a way to lose points. Never met the professor, TA and groups were great, but it's difficult to overlook the fact that the design of the curriculum for this course is actively trying to fail you. Labs aren't hard, but deal more with statistics than physics.
His lectures are actually enjoyable and you will get an A if you try for a little bit He gives you exam corrections credit for half credit back and final replaces your lowest exam grade and the final is basically 9 exact same questions you already had in the past exams and 6 really easy questions from the last unit, take loveridge 303k if you can
The "G" in Loveridge stands for GOAT. Great Professor who believes in his students and their ability to improve.
ta & group dependent. never saw the prof. labs are time consuming & reports are annoying. final practical is meant to trip you up & was the hardest part. timing was a problem & too much data analysis/collection for the practical.
As head instructor, this course is honestly a disgrace to what UT represents. The lab instructions are vague, and one's grade is dependent on the TA. The lab practical is an absolute joke, with such limited time to do 3 experiments in 75 minutes- with the amount of calculations you need to do. While I got an A, this class nearly gave me a stroke.
I felt that Professor Loveridge did a good job in his first year teaching 303K. A major bonus is that you can correct for half credit on exams. However, lectures are usually inefficient and unrelated to the homeworks, and the "participation point" system is confusing - you will not know your true grade until the very end of the semester.
Loveridge was a GOAT. Thought the lecture style was unique and I enjoyed it. Half credit back on tests for corrections is amazing.
The concepts will always be hard but he doesn't make them harder than they should be. For only a semester, you learn a lot but there are a lot of opportunities to make back points.
I loved his course and even though his lectures wasnt the best help to solve hw problems the lectured are really interesting and he was enthusiastic to teach. Visited him for office hours and he turned out to be a really chill and funny guy. He cares about his students and tells us his story back in college often. Absolutely goated, 10/10
This rating is for my lab's TA, not Dr. Loveridge. It's not the best rating because it was difficult to communicate with or even understand our TA, sadly. Our TA also seemed to not know what was going on, but, at the same time, found it no trouble to grade us harshly. Best recommendation is to create a template for the lab report!
This is for the TA not the actual prof. Your grade in physics lab will depend ENTIRELY on your TA. Mine is awful. Genuinely finds the one place in our paper we used the wrong decimal and takes an entire point off. She is hard to understand and not helpful at all. Be prepared for way more work and stress than you signed up for.
This review is about my TA and not my professor because I have never met or seen Dr. Loveridge. My TA grades horrible, is hard to understand, and takes off points for writing the uncertainty of ONE individual number is 0.5 instead of 1 (yes he actually took off 5 points for this alone). I would recommend just doing it online over summer.
never met the professor but this class is EXTREMELY dependent on your ta. my ta was super lenient about grades and still its pretty hard to get a perfect score on a lab report. make sure to have a good lab group and learn how to do the calculations because the lab practical is primarily dependent on it
exams are online and he does not grade work so you have very very little room for error. yes you can make up the exams for 1/2 credit, but the exams themselves are poorly designed. has not graded assignments from 7-10 weeks ago. is lazy and formats exams to benefit his grading efficiency and not student understanding. also not good at lecturing lol
loveridge is a nice guy but terrible at teaching intro physics. lectures are extremely disorganized and exams are unpredictable with only 50 mins to do 11 questions. can make up exams for 1/2 credit back but exams are unforgiving since they are online and there isnt a way to show your work for partial credit. rip my gpa, gave it all i had.....
Great professor with a forgiving and fair grading set up (half back on tests). The lectures were a little helpful but physics is just annoying although loveridge is great. I excelled when I started reading the textbook (the class is very closely structured around it except for fluid mechanics) and trying to understand the material before homeworks.
Never meet the professor, but my TA was great & graded pretty easily. Doesn't take too much time out of class if you keep track of the experiment data while you're doing it in class. The practical is easy as long as you know how to do the calculations they tell you of beforehand, and go over the labs. All of my group members did pretty well on it.
Entirely based on your TA. I had a more difficult TA, so I spent more time on this class than some of my friends with different TAs, but getting an A is manageable regardless. The practical can be challenging, so definitely review all your analysis strategies before taking it.
Everything that you learn in this course (uncertainty calculations and come basic statistical tools) could be taught in a single lecture. Only a few assignments but there's often some issue with them. A profoundly useless course that's sadly required for so many majors. Your own lab experience will depend on your TA. The practical is not too bad.
Realistic course for 1 credit hour compared to other labs. TA-based, 8 labs/prelabs, practical is pretty stressful, but making sure you know how to do every part of your reports will set you up well for the practical.
Depends on the TA, and I was lucky mine was really easy. I honestly just used Chat to review the lab reports based on the rubric and manual and got a perfect rating each time. Lab practical was hardest part because of the limited time and the amount of calculations for it, so you need to know your lab reports and the formulas well.
IF YOU ARE TAKING 105M DONT TAKE IT PLEASE.IF DAKSHATA IS YOUR TA...QDROP! She grades all the labs on the last week of finals, poor at communication, and has no syallbus about the grading scale. Basically going into finals without knowing what your grade is. Class itself is a joke and the the final can be learned in 15 min review equation sheet
Very Nice, Won't obliterate you with insane exams. Just wants to create a positive learning environment.
I never saw the professor ONCE throughout the semester, but his TA for us was HORRIBLE. Graded so hard and wasn't even understanding of our needs. "Curve" applied at the end but there wasn't a curve man. Horrible experience overall. Pray you get one of the lazy TAs
Prelabs were pointless. Pray you get a good TA. I did not. He was actually dumb, and he was so unhelpful. For the practical, it's all paper & pen, so make sure you know how to use those formulas without excel. Find a group you like, and try to stick with them the whole semester if your TA is nice. Reports were tedious and graded harshly.
This is really just a coin flip on whether your TA is good or not, and I lost. She was super picky about the format of your submissions and took lots of small points off, which added up. Got an A- for what I felt was A effort. Shame
Prof. Loveridge is very nice, but can make you feel dumb if incorrect. I can tell it is not intentional, but it was off-putting in lecture. Wants you to learn and makes it relatively easy to get a decent grade through test corrections (half credit back). Tests are mostly recycled HW questions, and tests questions are pulled from previous tests.
This class is kind of a nightmare especially depending on your lab group. Everyone receives the same grade, so make sure you get good group mates. Depending on your TA, lab reports take forever to finish and the practical is an unrealistic time constraint. Too much of your grade depends on the practical, and its not easy.
Entirely TA dependent. Useless prelabs and then TAs have no clear guideline on grading. TA (Aryan) was over 30-45 minutes late to lab 3 different times and still graded reports extremely harshly. The class itself isn't hard, the labs are relatively quick and you're out early most times. Practical is hard but doable.
I had Dr. Loveridge for his first time teaching Modern Lab, in the summer. He is very caring and respectful, and clearly wants students to succeed. This is a difficult course but Dr. Loveridge made it manageable. Note that this was a very unique class for several reasons so my comments might not reflect him as a professor in a more regular class.
Never met the guy he j oversees the course but all the TAs r useless; NEVER RESPOND TO ED DISCUSSION OR EMAILS when students bring up many issues; lack of communication is crazy and is the most disorganized course I have ever taken at UT with the most indifferent TAs; lab notes r annoying
This guy clearly does not care about this students at all. I sincerely doubt he's spent even a second preparing this course. Genuinely the worst lab I've ever taken in my life. Disgusting to me that this is allowed. The labs are horribly designed, the TA can just ruin you. Grade boundaries are determined at the end of semester. Even the canvas sucks
I took intro physics 1 lab taught only by a TA. I never saw dr loveridge but I will say the structure of this class is pretty easy. The type of statistical analysis done every lab is very routine, so once you get used to it it can be very easy.
Dr. Loveridge is a good professor who has a very fair system when it comes to testing. He doesn't give extra credit, but gives half credit back on exams with corrections. The tests are usually the easy problems from the homework; there usually aren't curveballs on the tests, but they are weighted relatively heavily if you include the final.
Loveridge is genuinely just an outstanding professor. Ignore the other reviews for the lab sections. Those are TA dependent. When talking about Loveridge himself, his lectures are excellent, he cares about his students, and he goes to extra lengths to ensure we succeed. Thermodynamics can be difficult but he made it approachable! Highly recommend.
Just don't take Physics at UT.
Physics 1 lab is probably the easiest stem class I've taken. Experiments and reports are simple, I guess it depends in you TA but mine was fantastic. Lab practical isn't bad as long as you study. It's a good amount of work for 1 credit but it is what it is.
No hate to this professor, but his lab is TA dependent, and my TA was awful. I failed the practical (as did most of my class) because my TA (for every lab) went off course and made a lab for us (which was harder) instead of letting us lead it ourselves. We ended up not learning anything from labs because we relied on OH all the time. 0/10 TA
Great prof who make thermo and stat mech seem approachable and almost easy. This is the last physics class I had to take for my physics degree and am so happy I took it with him. Half credit back on exams for corrections is really nice and having class participation helps with a good grade. Exams are similar to practice exams. Best PHY prof at UT
Lab is TA dependent and group-dependent. I was not lucky...the reports were graded as if I had committed a crime against them
It is very TA dependent. My TA was Frances, and she was awesome. Grading isn't easy necessarily, but she is fair with her grading.
TA dependent. My TA was Frances and she was amazing. Kind, walked us through the labs, great at answering questions (she sent me a hand-drawn diagram once when I emailed her for help), very fair grader. Be ready for the practical to bomb your grade, although (other than time) I thought it was fair. Average was a 57%. Too much work for 1 hour imo
Completely TA dependent, got lucky and mine was pretty ok in terms of grading. Also got with a good group, lots of writing, definitely more statistics than physics focused. Really focus on studying the statistical formulas for the practical and your writing. Overall pretty ok. You do get some extra credit opportunities though and points back.
Chill guy, passionate about physics. Physics is just hard in general but he really cares about students. However his lectures were sometimes difficult to understand so you definitely have to teach yourself. Corrections allowed for half points back on midterms and a video project to replace one exam. Exams similar to HW but hard.
