He is a fun teacher. Doesn't use the book and doesn't give homework. 1/3 of the grade is quizzes and he drops the four lowest. There's a quiz every class but he will tell you exactly what's on it, same for the midterm and final. I highly recommend him, he's pretty great!

The BERANSTER.. The guy knows his material, plain and simple. Makes the class fun with endless jokes and stories. Most professors should strive to be half the man he is. Never gives homework but does give quizzes every class (again, straight from the notes). And he drops 4 lowest quiz grades. Even then, Beran is a great teacher and absolutely hilarious. NO TEXTBOOK.

I dropped calc last semester and thought maybe it was my nemesis. Beran made me feel like a normal human again because he explains everything so freaking clearly. And, if you dont get it, HELL EXPLAIN IT AGAIN! No surprises, no textbook, no homework, and reasonable quizzes. Take Beran and youll be taking notes on calc and ladykilling.

I'm currently taking the summer session with professor Beran right now and it's a pleasure having him as a professor. He's repetitive but for our own good because it then sticks with us. He's also very understanding and likeable. He makes class more interesting with his jokes and personality. I will always hate math but he makes it enjoyable.

I'm taking Beran's Calc II summer session and surprisingly 75% of the material has been review of Calc I (which he treats like new material), and I'm worried because I'm soon to be taking Calc III. Beran is a great guy though and makes very cute jokes and remarks and is very articulate.

Prof. Beran covered all of Calculus 2 and even started the course with a quick review of Calculus 1. I feel totally ready for Calculus 3. Prof. Beran is the best Calculus Professor!!

Prof. Beran is a legend in the making. I say in the "making" because he is still very young. After spending 5 years in the Marines as a Huey Crew Chief, the last thing I wanted to do was Math. Prof. Beran is by far the best professor I have had when it comes to Math and makes everything very clear & simple- what we call Barney style in the Marines!

Professor Beran is an amazing professor! I am currently taking his August intersession and he makes class very interesting for his students. I wish I would have had him for all my math courses prior to 111. Pace needs more professor's like Beran. I am horrible at math and for once I understand, take him and you will not regret it. Holy cliff-hanger

Professor Beran is the best math professor any one can find! Take him for all your math classes, delay the class until you can take him. Not only can u get a good grade, but you also understand the material very well, and learn from the experience. Pace should have Beran teach all the other professors, how to actually teach a math course.

Professor Beran made me like math again. Every class is the same no surprises. He is well organized and teaches a great class. This man truly is a blessing. I wish I could take every math course with this gem.

There are not many professor like Beran at Pace that truly want you to excel. I've had professors that tanked my gpa and wonder why Pace hired them. On the contrary, Beran will make sure everyone understands the material, he makes sure the class gets it before moving on. No textbook required, major plus, and is still able to teach a great lesson

Great professor crystal clear during lectures! Grades based 75% on the quizzes every class, and 25% on the final. Clearly explains the questions that will be a part of the next quiz (beg of class) and repeats anything that you a) Did not hear -or- b) Did not understand. Can't miss class, because then you will miss his explanation for the next quiz!

You gotta love the guy Monday morning classes are rough as it is but Beran will make your week. Quizzes everyday- keeps the extra challenging problems out and adds a little comedy to the lesson

Mr. Beran is truly the best mathematics teacher there is! He gives clear grading criteria and teaches you math skills that are useful for life. Professor Beran combats scary looking mathematic problems with his expertise and helpful shortcuts which are totally tubular!

Andrew Beran is one of the best professors I've ever had. You will have a quiz every class but it is a 10 minute thing coming directly from the questions looked at last class and he will drop the 4 lowest ones. There is never homework and he does not require a textbook. He is super funny, clear and helpful and is a great way to start off your day!

No homework, but there is a short 5 question quiz at the beginning of each class taken straight from the notes from the class before. Very clear and thorough teacher. He's a little repetitive, which some might find annoying, but you get used to it and he only does it so everyone understands. Tells jokes and stories to make lessons interesting.

Highly recommend the Beranster, probably one of my favorites so far. Very funny and repetitive but at least he gives students the time to write things down. He gets that we are business (not math majors) which makes life so much easier. Bless this cowboy to the squared power

He gives a quiz everyday but you are SO aware of what's on it - it's totally fair and he CLEARLY wants all students to pass literally makes calc seem so easy - i'm not good at calc or math at all and currently have an A. Also he kind of reminds me of that character Eric from that 70's sow so like that's pretty fun.

Professor Beran is so amazing. The best professor I have ever had. He really wants all of his students to pass and makes math easy to learn. He is sooooooooo HOT!!!!! I can't stop staring at him.

Amazing professor. Literally the best math professor at Pace.

He explains the material in an easy way so you will understand the work. He gives quizzes at the beginning of every class so please BE ON TIME. The quizzes are really easy. If you do well on all of his quizzes and his final is no way you can not get an in his class. He is a great professor and I recommend everyone to take his class.

The first thing is first to BE ON TIME!! I promise you, you won't regret it. He very kind and he will help you every way out of it, he will go step by step and will repeat anything you having trouble with. I highly recommend Prof Beran if you having trouble with math. Prof Beran had made me understand every step. TAKE HIM. HE IS THE BEST !!
