He's a bit boring, but he just does things differently, and I'd say I still liked the class. Drill yourself on Excel problems before tests, and don't be afraid to ask questions. He seems more intimidating and cold than he actually is. Any MIST2090 prof is a good choice but I'd say my time in his class was well worth.

Dr Miller is overall a funny and nice guy, his lectures on content are just very boring. The first exam was really hard (I failed) so make sure you study more than you think you need to. All the assignments you could complete with anyone's help you wanted and were graded on completion. He also made class optional before almost every break we had.

Wasn't terrible. Attendance is taken and participation is necessary for that part of your grade, he does pop quizzes in class so if you don't go you'll miss out on that. You get a front and back cheat sheet on exams. Exams are very fair, and like his slides and lectures, even if you don't go to class just use slides. He's chill.

exams were really hard but not weighed heavily in the final grade. there were lots of pretty easy projects which will help bring your grade up. attendance does matter, he uses tophat almost every single day. overall he was pretty chill with everything

Miller is a great guy. A little stern, but he's lowkey hilarious. Not much work at all, and you can do everything in a group. Exams really depend on whether you listened in lecture, but his lectures are definitely tolerable. He allowed 8 missed lectures in our class.

Overall, Dr. Miller was alright for MIST 2090. He explains the Excel content clearly and the exams are similar to problems done in class. Project assignments graded for participation. Midterms are 30% of grade.Extra point for completing course eval. I did poorly on the first exam and quickly bounced back. However, he can be a bit condescending.

Overall, it was very easy to get an A in the class (I got a 50 on the first test and still ended with an A), but you do have to actually pay attention during lectures. He's a little soft-spoken but lowkey hilarious. He uses TopHat for attendance, but overall it's a helpful class for learning Excel spreadsheets. Would recommend!

Very understanding and knowledgeable. Dr. Miller has an unusual cadence and dry sense of humor that I very much enjoyed, but I think it might put off some students. His class and grading is very easy just do the simple assignments before the due dates. Lots of class time was taken to guarantee everyone understood all the steps, which can feel slow.

Miller is a super chill guy and takes his time to throughly go over the excel material in class. He does top hat for attendance but you get a good amount of them dropped at the end of the semester. If you don't have prior excel knowledge definitely pay close attention to the lectures. Grading is a bit test heavy but you can still end up with an A.

Dr. Miller is very knowledgeable on what he teaches and makes the class easy to learn in. He does have a bit of a monotone lecture style but he does crack hilarious jokes throughout which make it enjoyable. Attendance is taken via TopHat checkin quizzes nearly everyday but you get 8 drops for the semester. Exams are open note but still tricky.
