Wonderful - I took both courses from Prof Teas online.

Enjoyed this class.I love that he has everything already posted for the semester and you can work ahead.Whit me working fulltime and in school 15hrs. I really needed a class like this, so that I can move ahead and be finish.Prof. Teas is an EXCELLENT teacher.

I REALLY dig this class. This is the way DE needs to be. You've gotta take GOVT, and you should take it from prof Teas.

He will help you and he is very clear... VERY GOOD online teacher,. BUT if you don't like writing papers and turnin it in once a week don't take him... If you try and just do everything right n turn it in on time you will pass with a good grade

Just completed Government 2 with Professor Teas, he truly went out of his way to help his students. If you are confused he will help you. No tests, 3 simple quizzes, and about 14 or 15 papers but very straight forward and most of them were short. He graded fairly. I would totally recommend him to anyone. A fantastic teacher. Made govt. fun!

the easiest college class ive ever had, no test no nothing. you just have to right a simple 1-2 pg essay once a week and thats it. Pretty much guranteed A!!

Currently taking Govt I&II--great instructor. No exams, midterm, or final--only a few quizzes in both classes and they are at the beginning of the course. Then you only have a couple pages to write per week for an assignment. I HIGHLY recommend him!! (Taking distance ed.--very easy!)

Very easy to understand. You do your work on time you don't have any problem. I got A's in both classes. But be ready to do some reserch work on the internet. Good Professor.

Just finished up 2301 online and I must say it was a great class. I learned more about government and politics than I ever imagined. It was a very enjoyable class. I just got the last available slot for 2302 and this semester isn't even over yet!

Currently taking this class. Took 2301 last semester. Very smooth flowing classes. You are given a syllabus at the beginning of the term that you can work at your own pace as long as you turn everything in by each deadline. It is a good class to take if you have other, more demanding classes on your schedule. Excellent instructor!

He is a very helpful teacher. Sometimes the assignments can be challenging if your not interested in it but for the most part they are easy. If you do it and cite your work your grade will be a good one.

His assignments are all straight-forward and as long as you thoroughly answer his questions and prompts. You also should have solid writing and researching skills.

Very good class. Fun assignments that require you to use the knowledge you've gained from the text. He offers interesting web sites and incorporates them into the class. Highly recommended.

This Teacher has got it together! This is exactly how a ANY college class should be - organized, informative, and fun. I have learned so much & we're only halfway through the class. It's challenging in that you have to know how to write and do online research but it's ALWAYS an interesting and current topic and it's pretty simple.

This class has renewed my interest in government and really was the BEST online class I've ever taken. The format was easy to follow and not intimidating.

Very organized & helpful..you do learn a lot actually...govt might not be interesting but this class might change your mind. If you dont understand just ask. You have to turn in an assignment every saturday and its usually a short essay. They can be time-consuming but not always.There are no tests or midterms or finals. You do have 3 quizzes..easy!

I took the online course and it was so easy! Im not even good at govt!! assignments each week, looking at web sites mostly. I got an A on almost all! he grades easy, no tests, no final. take him if you just need to get this class over with.

Took DE, there are no test just quizzes and papers. Assignment due weekly pretty self explaintory. All assignemnts carry same weight, some super easy some more challenging. If you keep up with weekly assignments you should get an easy A, even if you slack off completely or don't write well you should still get a C.

Excellent and very caring professor. I took his summer online course and enjoyed it very much. His weekly assignment are very informative, group discussions were interesting. Book use a must to complete weekly online quizzes. Not too hard. No mid-term or final, whew! You gotta research alot for the written assignments though. Grades fairly

EASYYYY!! I have NO interest in Gov and Teas was really clear and laid back, he let people take makeup tests if they missed them for a legit reason. If you read the book, you'll be more than fine. Easys with every test. One project and you can do it however you want. If you're remotely intelligent you can pass this class. EASY A.

Online Course. Answers all ?'s asked & e-mails. Eventhough we really don't use the book, I have actually learned more in this class about our Govt. than any other. Lots of research on current events & Essays every week, so the information sticks. Great Teacher that gets the student involved.

I took professor Teas online, his assignments are very clear, step by step. You have to write a lot of papers, but they are interesting papers. He keeps the class interesting. A few quizzes. I am not an essay fan, but I am glad I took him. I am getting a lot of practice.

Excellent Teacher. Online course. Would highly recommend taking this class, especially if you are like me and hate Govt. His method of teaching is not boring, but exciting and informative. He does not require you to cram everything in the book, but focuses on current events and gives us tools on how to become involved in in our Govt. A++

Teacher was extremely helpful and clear in the projects, test, and reviews. Uses powerpoints and provides them online for downloading use. Review is exactly like the test (to an extent). Enjoyed his class, taking him for 2302.

Hey I took Teas Govt 2301 and 2302 online. The class is somewhat easy. Lots of writing assignments, but you will learn. You have the ability to do all of your assignment at once or when their due. The first week, I took all of my quizzes. If you don't like to write papers, don't take this class. Assignment require research. GOOD LUCK!!!

i took this class online and did not really like it. Way too strict in grading the assignments. he took of points because i simply forgot to change the style of the file eventhough he was still able to open it and read it. overall, i would not recomend him and i would b thankful if i even got a c.

A lot of writing but not final and no test. If you like writing and don't like test use this teacher. I like writing so I enjoyed the class. I took it online and only one quiz I had to use my book for. Other than that I did not really use it.

Extremely simple course. Powerpoints are given for every section covered. Minimal studying required. Easiest A+ in my college history. Really cool, nice professor willing to help you and very understanding of any situation and happy to help you in any way.

TAKE HIS CLASS! Prof Teas is great at explaining govt and makes it fun, no note taking, no homework, easy tests (if you study for atleast an hour or 2). If you are a busy person like me, he is understanding and helpful if he knows you are trying. He has a great sense of humor and is lenient when grading tests. And he has a cute mole on his face!LOL

Still in his class but for whoever is thinking about taking a govt. class in the Spring TAKE HIM! You have an assignment due every weekend but you have no test. You have about 6 quizzes which are straight out of the book. 2 of them are very easy and you don't use the book on them, it's just pure knowledge. Just make sure to turn your work in!

This Professor is amazing and he is an excellent teacher. I recommend him to everyone who needs to take History 1301 and or 1302. He is extremely fair. He goes that extra mile to help you. His work is very fair. No major exams. Research is easy.

I found Prof. Teas to be completely engaging! He made every assignment interesting, fun and crystal clear on how to accomplish (step by step) what he expected you to accomplish. Attitude is great! No final...One written assignment per week or two weeks. If you put 1/2 effort in, you will pass his class. BUT he deserves students that give their all!

Just finished his online class, passed with an "A" but I worked for it. No test, no final, but you have quizes and a written assignment due every weekend. If you don't like writing do not take this class! If you can handle a couple hours a weekend to write a paper then you will be fine. Make sure to your your assignments in on time!!

Mr. Teas is an excellent instructor. I took this class online. The assignments are very relevant and there is quite a bit of reading involved. There are several quizzes and NO TESTS. However, essays are due weekly. Mr. Teas responds promptly to emails. I also took his GOVT 2301 class online. I highly recommend this instructor

Online Class NO TESTS! Just essays every week, and few quizzes like 6 fore entire semester. Book not required! As long as you do the work it is an easy class. Grades very easy.

His online class is extremely easy. I HATE government, but I found myself highly interested in his assignments. The only people I wouldn't recommend his class to are the people who do not like writing papers. There's a paper due every week, open book quizzes occasionally. He is amazing. I loved this class, it was great and I learned how to write papers easily. with almost two a week it was a demanding class. I learned a lot and the class will forever change my perspective on the way things work in this county. The topic is dry but helpful. He went above and beyond to make sure we understood the information. GREAT PROFESSOR

I would recommend his class during the summer. As long as you know how to do research and write papers, you will do GREAT in this class! He is very helpful b/c he gives links to his assignments. He also grades rather quickly so you know how well you're doing.

I won't say is online class is easy nor hard. His class is demanding for sure. If u are the type like me that don't like writing don't take him. u will write about 2 essay weekly. He will give u links though. If I was to do it all over I won't take him. I had a B+

This teacher is the best. Where was he for Kuwait first govt class. He has links to assignments si that we can understand the assignment better. You have to write a lot,but the assignments are so clear and they are based on real issues that are happening. I love it this teacher is awesome. With commitment you can easily get an A. This teacher is great! I took his online 2302. Everything is crystal clear. Had, I turned my work in on time I would have gotten an A. I was made good grades on my papers but there were late penalties. I am now taking him for 2301. I am definitely getting an A!

I took 2302 w/ Teas ONLINE and I wish I took 2301 with him also. No MIDTERM or FINAL nor are there any EXAMS. All he requires is a short essay due each week on a current event in government. This class made me want to be more aware of whats going on in govt and showed me ways to access the info more easily...highly recommended

First of all, I SUCK at writing essays. Prof Teas, why do you make us write so many? But probably this is good for us in the end. Only very good things to say about this man. He is an asset! Yes, there is a lot of work for this class, but that's counterbalanced by the fact that Mr Teas seems so passionate about government and teaching!

Probably the best and easiest prof you will hve in ur college career. Took his online class and was pretty straight forward. Small two page essay (more like give ur opinion) due every week. Very easy grader. Dont even hesitate taking him.

I am taking his Govt. class now. Before this class I had absolutely no interest in Government. Professor Teas makes you want to learn. At times his assignments are time consuming, but you lose track of time and gain interest! He's the best, most organized,and thoughtful instructor ever. This is by far the best class ever. I have learned soooooo much. I enjoyed taking this class. There is an esay (short) assignment along with an open book (10-15 questions) each week. EASIEST CLASS EVER!everything is done online. No midterm. No final. Alot of writing.

Took online course and yes your have a quiz and paper due every week but they are pretty easy as long as you know how to look things up. The paper every week gets a tad annoying but they really are quite easy to do. He is very approachable and willing to help out. I recommend his class. Knew nothing about govt now I know plenty.

I am in the process of taking his GOVT 1302 summer class. Prior to taking him for 1301, I had absolutely no interest in government. I love his classes! He is the most organized, helpful and interesting professor I have had. You definitely have to try hard to fail his class.

Took him for summer and he is the best government professor! He only has you do assignments and they are VERY interesting. I HATE government but these assignments were interesting and keeps you up to date with current events. Not super anal with citations and he definitely understands his students. LOVE him! One of the best teachers I've had.Puts everything into perspective.There is a paper and quiz due at the end of every week but no midterm or final.He also provides all the resources you will need for writing, so fairly easy if you demonstrate some interest.You won't find a better government professor. I took Mr. Teas class online this fall semester 2012 and I must admit he's a great teacher, even though I haven't met him in person you will definitely appreciate how easy he is and that there's no final to take. Even though u have a paper and quiz due every week its definitely worth taking his class.

I've had some really good instructors at HCC, but Teas is a favorite. Lots of writing, but he's very helpful and gives concise instruction. He also opens all the assignments so you can work around your schedule easily. Would love to take another of his courses.

Professor Teas is a great instructor. I took his online government class. There are no major exams, and there is no final exam. Just short quizzes each week and essays. The essays are not difficult, and are about current topics in government. He is not a tough grader. If you put in the work, you will get an A.

Great Professor! He has a steady work load, as long as you read each chapter there is no reason to get a poor grade on any quiz or assignment (weekly) that he gives. And you learn a lot! He grades fairly, quickly and responds quickly to any questions. He does not offer extra credit, but if you are reading the book you will not need it. Take him!

Great teacher. SO EASY. No tests or final. Just do the assignments & the quizzes & you'll be fine. Quizzes are straight from the book & the online resource he gives. Assignments are usually between 1-2 pages. 1 assignment & 1 quiz a week. No need to go to class; everything is online. However, I recommend going every now & then to stay up to date.

AWESOME! I just took him this summer and i must say prof Teas is the best, he replies emails in minutes. No final or midterm all you have to do is write 1-2 pages of essay due every week and his quiz consist of 10 questions and with 45mins to complete it. he grades very easy I got an A in this class and I definitely recommend him for anyone.

I love Mr Teas, he has been my favorite professor. I hate government and wasn't expecting to enjoy or learn much in this class, but I enjoyed and learned more in this class than I did in any other classes. Weekly quiz and 2 page essay due on Saturday nights. I went ahead of schedule and finished everything early. Wish he taught American Government!

definitely alot of busy work in this class. I guess it makes up for No Final Exam. He is helpful and responds quickly to emails. Quiz 10 questions w/1 hour to complete (use book or google), and 1 (sometimes 2) papers 3-5 pgs due each week. He takes point off like he is an english paper but overall the class is do-able. Barely opened the book!

Professor Teas ROCK!!! I would love to take him again if I could. It is a lot of writing, but you learn a lot about Government. No Test are required!! Lots of writing papers, but the writing papers are easy!!

Easy class. Even when you don't show up in class, if you read the instruction that he posted online and follow it, you are good. I don't understand why people kept saying this class is bad. The professor is extremely easy and helpful.

I took this class in five weeks terms even though we had a lot of work to do in a short time I would say that this professor is really good all you have to do is take your quizzes(10 questions) and write your essays no midterm no final. and he is a easy grader as long as you cover the requirements for the essays. HIGHLY RECOMMEND he is the best.

please don't take him. It's very difficult to make an A in his class. While his quizzes are easy, he makes you write way too many essays I regret taking him. Oh and he grades the essays very strictly too. Another good thing though is no midterm or final. Even for the essay he makes you do so many readings. Take him at your own risk

Professor Teas was AMAZING. The class consisted of essays & quizzes: no test, no midterm, & no final. All essay topics were interesting & quizzes are easy! If you have questions he's VERY easy to contact, I received replies to my email within the hour. Grading is extremely fair! Don't hesitate to take his class, I'm recommending him to everyone!

Definitely recommend him. His online class was great! 2 quizzes and 2 essays a week. No tests. Everything's by your own pace. He grades pretty leniently as long as you have all that is required. He checks his forum regularly and responds faster than any other professor! And he's pretty funny :)

Great instructor. Easy assignments and even easier quizzes. Quizzes are 10 questions each, straight from the book. A few times I didn't have time to read the chapter, but still aced the quiz. Heavy essay writing in this course, so if that's not your thing, steer clear. BUT if you're OK with it, Mr. Teas is great and an easy grader. I enjoyed it.

Currently taking Professor Teas online and I am enjoying it! There's no need for the text book as your majority grade is made up of the 20 essays he gives, although it is "required." If you hate writing, RUN AWAY! Regardless, he is an easy grader. Just do everything on time, follow his direction and you are fine. Did I mention the heavy writing?

Beyond easy. Took his 8 wk online class over the summer. 2 quizzes and 2 essays every week. I wouldn't take it again because I haven't learned a single thing about government. Firstly, Professor Teas looks a lot like Russell Crowe in my opinion. He's extremely nice, and is very clear on what he wants from you. No tests, but the class requires you to take 1 online quiz (use your textbook, I recommend buying a digital copy to search for key words), and 1 essay a week. Super easy grader, you'll only fail if you do nothing.

Prof Teas is a very generous grader! I know I turned in a couple of pitiful papers and he still gave me an A each time. You would literally have to do zero work to fail this class. Easy A. Easy quizzes that are actually 50% of your total grade and are open book and internet. Essays are 250 words and you have to do around 7 to 8 but believe me you will get an A.

He is a nice teacher and his assignments are not hard but I personally have a tough time writing essays which is why I failed his class since 50% of the assignments are 2-5 page essays due every week. If you are not a strong writer or you don't like online assignments, I suggest taking a different teacher.

Just a small warning, though, he does give you a ton of papers but they are easy peasy (2-5 pages, double spaced, you can use MLA or APA as long as you cite your sources). (for regular session) 2 medium difficulty assignments per week but no major grades, so as long as you're punctual and stay ahead, you'll get an A. What a "great" Professor"! I took him this summer, for the Texas Government. Although there are quizzes and essay (assignment) writings, the work isn't hard unless you make it hard for yourself. The essays are pretty easy as he provides the sources and info for you. If you answer all the questions he asks you'll at least make a B on the essays. 10/10

I took him for the summer, I enjoyed his class! Great guy, and helpful when you ask. For summer, he assigned 3 essays eachweek that were around 2-5 pages. The essays are straightforward, as he gives you guidelines. In addition, he has a nice style with quizzes. His quizzes are based on information in the textbook and outside websites. Overall good!

Professor Teas is the best government professor I have ever had. He shows so much care, kindness, and respect towards his students. He makes class enjoyable and does NOT walk around too much. I will forever miss Professor Teas i hope i can take a class of his again someday. Everything 10/10 this is a professor you want to teach you government. :)

Professor Teas is awesome! No exams and no memorization, but a written essay EACH week covering a topic is required. It's a tedious and time-consuming course, but the grading criteria is straightforward. Be weary of how you use AI, he is very adamant about the consequences if AI is detected in your papers.

Such good professor, if you can take his class do it in person, he is really passionate and very funny. Also very understanding, overall pretty easy class, and Professor Teas is very kind and gives good feedback. Will definitely take his class again.

I absolutely loved having Professor Teas for my government class. He is organized, fair, and genuinely supportive of his students. He always grades assignments on time and provides helpful feedback. The quizzes directly reflect the material he covers, so if you pay attention and study, you do well.

Easy A. One paper a week, 3-5 pages, but not challenging. You don't need to read the textbook to pass the quizzes, which are roughly 10 questions (non-proctored). Take him, you won't regret it.

If you have to take a GOVT class, do yourself a favor and pick Professor Teas. He and his colleagues wrote their own textbook and it is easily digestible and honestly pretty interesting for someone who has no interest in government. He gives great feedback, is knowledgeable, caring, and extremely lenient on grading. Protect this man at all costs.

So kind and caring, probably my favorite professor. One essay and quiz (open note) per week. Suuuuper easy. His lectures are very interesting and it's exciting to see that he invites guest speakers. 10/10 class. I wish he was my professor every year.

Hands down favorite prof this semester! Super easy with 1 essay and quiz on each unit (once a week), graded pretty lightly. He gives thorough instructions on the essay in class. He always responds to emails in a timely manner, and gives super interesting lectures on each topic. Also brings in guest speakers! Please take him if you can !!

This professor is awesome. There is no textbook that needs to be bought. There is work to be done but the assignments are easy and understandable. There are papers to turn in but he is generous with his grading. I highly recommend him to anyone who needs to take Texas government. Also, he is not hard to get in contact with.

Professor Teas made learning Federal Government very uncomplicated. I recommend this professor for the way he makes his assignments very understandable. His instructions are very thorough when it comes to writing essays. Each week you are given a quiz and a 2-5 page essay. In addition, he is very responsive interested in your questions & concerns!
