Professor Terrells unique style of lecture is the most efficient because he explains fast and thorough saving time and covering more material. At the same time, there is enough repetition of the material that we retain the information.

Hes very caring and you can immediately tell hes passionate for his job. Youll never be bored since he has many stories to tell & beware bc they might end up being related to the lectures. He makes history interesting overall. If I had the opportunity to take another one of his classes, I definitely would! Be prepared for comprehensive quizzes.

In the beginning, I thought he was gonna be really hard because he seemed really serious, but its nothing like that. To be honest, I would take another semester with him. He does give many quizzes through, but you should be fine.

Great techer who teaches his class in a story style. Very knowledgeable and can be asked any random question and will give a very logical response. Gives extra credit options all the time. Is very approachable before and after class. There is a textbook but not mando for summer classes.

Class is structured well, mostly organized, a little ADHD feeling but he is a good professor.

Not an incredibly homework heavy or test heavy class, we had maybe 10 assignments over the semester with 3 tests, and a term paper that was sub 5 pages. Many opportunities for extra credit, and he makes each lecture fun with his style of teaching and the different games you play in class to help you learn. Overall, the class was great.

If you are taking Professor Terrell for online Hist, it will take him a day or two to email you back about your work, questions, or anything else. I recommend you read your assignments first and then email him right away if you have any questions. He grade the Discussions kind of hard so make sure to make valid points. But his class is easy. Study!

I really enjoyed this class, Professor Terrell gave good feedback when grading. He gave two tries on the quizzes and exams which was great. He gave you the opportunity to better your grade. As long as you read and know your stuff you will have no problems with the assignment. Now that it is not easy to find a History teacher with good ratings!

Professor Terrell is a great prof. From the beginning he was super organized and had everything laid out. You get two weeks worth of homework at a time (on average) and you know exactly what you need to do. As long as you put in the effort, you will get a good grade. Just a warning, his exams can contain information that is vague and hard to find.

I was so pleased with Prof. Terrell's 1301 class, I signed up for his 1302 class. The expectations and material are clear. He sets the pace of the class but it is nicely managed. He provides many different types of materials for his students which comes in handy for different types of learners. Participation is key. I highly recommend his class!

Your work is returned in a timely manner. You have plenty of time to do the work, and missing an assignment or two will not kill your grade.

This class over all is a fun class. As long as you stay on top of your work you should get an A. Great teacher, and is very understanding that there is life outside of of college.

Currently taking Professor Terrell for HIST 1301 and I plan to take him next semester for HIST 1302. There are quite a few assignments to complete, however, the assignments are not difficult nor are they time consuming. Professor Terrell gives you practice quizzes to help prepare you for the exams. I would recommend him to anyone taking history! :)

This class was very easy and interactive. Professor Terrell gave many small readings to answer discussions off of and make you think from perspectives of historical figures. It brought a new way to seeing history. As long as you participate and do the reading, you'll do well. Would definitely take again.

This class was pretty easy, there was a lot of short readings provided for the discussions. As long as you turn in your work and stay on track you will do great.

His class is fun but gets side tracked a lot but attending doesn't help when doing the work you just need to be ready to read the short stories given.

Prof. Terrell made the class manageable, while still making sure you were learning the information. There were usually 2-4 100+ word discussion posts and 2 assignments (graphic organizers or short essays) roughly every 2 weeks and a test that covers 2 units. Prof. Terrell provides a document with readings, videos, and notes for each of the 6 units.

I really enjoyed taking this class. The way the professor gives the assignments made me feel more at ease because you have plenty of time to complete them. His lectures are entertaining and the material needed for the assignments is provided accordingly. This class is an easy A as along as you complete the assignments (of course).

Professor Terrell gives lots of info for the assignments and quizzes for you to study. As long as you do your weekly assignments and study for your quizzes, you'll pass this class easily.

Prof Terrel is a very good prof. He tells you what he wants with every assignment very clearly. He is a relatively easy grader; usually will give you an A or B if you try on the assignment. About 4-6 assignments/week. Has optional weekly quizzes for review. There are 3 tests including the final, each with a reasonable amount of questions.

I think the class is pretty easy if you do all the work on time of course. There are quite a few discussions and assignments. Most discussions are opinions based on the scenario given. You are only required to write a few sentences. Lots of textbook reading that helps with the quizzes and assignments. Responds pretty fast to emails.

Great professor, will definitely take him again for HIST 1302. Homework is generally a few discussions and an assignment or two which is due about every 2 weeks. There are 2 test and a final. Reading the books and taking quizzes help with test.

I would definetely recommend this professor due to the fact that his class is enjoyable, not to much work , and is great with grading assigments at a good rate after completion. As to assigments its not very hard with majority being discussions with a chart assigment here ,and there . I would definately retake the professor

Mr. Terrell is a good teacher to work with. He gives all materials you need to complete this course and he is available to help you.

Professor Terrell is alright. Although he can be unclear on his instructions at times, leaving you to fill in the blanks. When you do what is asked, he will sometimes deduct a sizeable amount of points with no feedback. For instance, he will say make a diagram, and you do but he doesn't like the layout, so minus 12 pts. It could be worse though.

Professor Terrell's class is very straightforward. His homework usually consisted of multiple discussions and a few assignments but you're given plenty of time to do them. Just make sure not to procrastinate and follow his instructions and you'll most definitely earn a good grade.

I liked Professor Terrell online class, he gives many options to help you learn the material. The only thing that gave me a hard time was the TIMED tests, 3 of them. I like to take my time and read questions multiple times. He does give 2 chances on each test, but some questions have matching questions A-E or more, sadly this eat up my time. ����

Professor Terrell is really chill. I like his approach of teaching how to think, rather than what to think. No unreasonable homework assignments. The only thing I would warn about is sometimes the test questions may seem a little random if you don't really study his hyperdocs. I'd definitely recommend Mr. Terrell as a solid history professor.

I loved that class so much. I have work before his class, and it always makes for a good night to go even though attendance is optional. He's funny and very reasonable not only with grading but himself in general. He's very good about answering his emails. He's also pretty clear about what he will be grading and testing on.

He has timelines for everything but in a sitiuation when I had an emergency come up he was understanding. His daily work is pretty easy but really makes you think and kind of question yourself. Professor Terrell is one of the few professors that follow the online your time. He gives you assignments every 2 weeks and allows you to do them on your time. The specific date on each assignment isnt the final date but a guideline to keep you on pace. He allows you to take tests 2x each one which is less stressful and I highly recommend him.

This was a really easy online class. All you really have to do is make sure to turn in all the assignments on time and also do as many quizzes as possible because those help you with your test. He has the online class very organized and its easy to understand each assignment.

Prof Terrell is probably one of the most forgiving and understanding professors at Lone Star. His online course was organized neatly, there was never any confusion with assignments (which mostly consisted of discussion posts), and he always provided material to study for on exams. This class is an easy A and only gets hard when you procrastinate.

I have had the pleasure of taking Prof Terrell's HIST 1301 and 1302 classes and it has been a great learning experience! He is very clear on his instructions on his assignments and discussions and very organized with his material online. Professor Terrell's manner of teaching is so wonderful and refreshing!! Hes patient and supportive, but really knows how to motivate his students. Hes great at building confidence and keeping lessons fun and engaging through a variety of activities that improve conversation, writing, and reading skills.

Professor Terrell is by far the most well-organized professor I've had. His unit modules laid out in a way that makes sense, assignments are though-provoking and entertaining, and even quizzes and tests are fun. He allows you to work at your own pace, with approximately 2 weeks per module. He provides clear expectations and responds quickly.

HIST 1302- Online was very well structured, and very clear. There is a generous amount of work but it was not diffcult. Professor who takes time to read emails, and has forum where you can ask for help if needed. You will not pass if you do not participate or do the assignments.

Probably the best online class I took this year. His assignments are organized clearly and are very straightforward. No super long or tedious essays. Occasional page or paragraph writing assignments. Easy and engaging discussion assignments. You are given enough time to finish your work. Tests were not bad. Would definitely reccommend taking.

Professor Terrell is a solid choice for HIST1302. The assignments are easy and quick. The exams carry most of the weight. The only thing is that the questions on the exams can be pretty vague and hard to find even with open book/quizlet (which he made for us)/lecture notes (which he gave us).

This class was extremely beneficial in helping me become more immersed in history, even though I hadn't previously been interested in U.S. history at all. Professor Terrell also has plenty of notes and powerpoints attached for each unit. This course wasn't difficult to understand and enabled me to enjoy history.

Professor Andrew Terrell was straight-forward on what he needed from his students and gave great unit review sheets. All the information on there had the necessary material to assemble a study guide for the upcoming exams. As long as you keep track of your work and turn it in on time then you will make a good grade.

I've had this professor for both of my history classes and I have really enjoyed his way of teaching. Instead of writing papers, you have to write discussions (which I find easier). He gives you 2-3 weeks for each unit and the quizzes at the end of each unit are for extra credit (they really help you prepare for the tests tho). No Final Exam!!

I took a different professor for Hist 1301 and decided that I would never take a history class in person with that teacher again. I can confidently say that was a great decision. Took him online for a 16-week course and he is a great online teacher. Everything is paced well and no book was needed. Easy class if you do the work you will pass. Each segment is two weeks time to finish so there is plenty of time to complete. Highly recommend.

Professor Terrell was a very good professor. He made sure we had everything we needed for the work that was assigned and it was never an overload of stuff. His guide sheets given at the beginning of the unit are wonderful and when I explained, defined, and described everything listed I was prepared for the discussions, assignments and test.

Prof. Terrell gives a detailed outline, time to complete your work, and video lectures. I personally do not care for online classes but there was no other option for me. Given my distain for online, this class wasn't bad.

Professor Terrell makes his course work easy to understand. We had around 3 discussion posts & 1 to 2 assignments ever month or so. The assignments were usually a chart describing the era we had studied, & sometimes a 1 page paper. I wish the tests were more obvious on the D2L page. Overall his class was straight-forward & simple to complete.

He is a very good professor IMO. He make power points and has a sheet full of multiple links to helpful sources. He makes sure you have multiple ways to study, additional ways to learn, and makes sure you understand. Otop of all of this he posts more lessons on his Youtube Channel (which i subbed to).

Prof. Terrell is great! I took him for both HIST1301/1302 and the class was very easy to manage. Reasonable amounts of homework/assignments with more than enough time to complete them and they are graded soon after so you always know how you're doing in the class. He's very easy to communicate with and is ultimately a very understanding professor.

He is a very easy teacher because all we do is discussion topics mainly. You don't have to have any knowledge whatsoever for the assignments. The only thing I feel like he could improve on is the fact that I feel like I learned absolutely nothing about history. But hen again we're just here for the credit, not for knowledge.

Homework assignments are pretty smooth sailing! While they can be time consuming *if* procrastinated, they aren't too hard. The professor is a pretty easy grader as well, and provides good resources. However, there are only three exams within the semester and those three are worth 70% of your overall grade, which would be my only con to the course.

This is one of the most fun I had in history class. The workload is not heavy, but you still need to research. Three tests a semester and nothing hard, know your stuff and do your work, then you'll get an A in this class.

Andrew Terrell is without a doubt the most amusing professor I've ever had! The discussion posts give you the flexibility and creativity to show and view your peers' work. He also has YouTube videos and incredibly fun quizzes, which I thoroughly enjoyed.

This class was very straight forward, if you do the work you will pass as long as you study for the tests and pass those. Most of the work was discussions ,annoying just because they get very repetitive but they are easy. load is pretty light i can get the work done for the week in one day easily and be done for that class for the week .

I would take this class again if I had to. It was not hard at all. The only thing is that it's better to start working on assignments ahead of time because it's several assignments due the same day for each unit. Other then that, all the assignments consist of reading scenarios and answering on class discussions, very simple. Quizzes aren't hard.

Professor Terrell's class is an easy class to take. You will have a lot of discussion posts to do in a timely matter. The exams aren't that bad, but you have time to improve your grade if you don't like it. He is a fair and understanding person. A great class and professor overall.

Professor Terrell was just so amazing. I got a C in HIST 1301 and was so scared to go into HIST 1302. He helped me gain my back my confidence in my work. Every other week for the most part would be 7 assignments that you use your judgement how you would feel about that time in history. He really helped understand history to a new level.

The professor was great as an online teacher. The online class was self-study/research-based. I found that having to actually scan for information for charts or discussions was beneficial. I was able to absorb the material very well.

Don't think the other reviews are real. He has so much homework and lectures videos are 45 min times three videos lectures. His quizzes are in qizziz and is locked browser can't help look up information. He wont even release the hw even a week ahead of time he waits every 2-3 days so you cant finish a day ahead.

Excellent online class. I took this in a 6 week course, so one unit a week. We had 4 discussion posts and a quiz weekly. 2 exams total. Information is well laid out and everything you need laid out for you! Will definitely take again!

There is alot of work he recommends but I personally looked for other resources outside of his recommends to help understand the work. The work is very organized and easy to locate however, it is not easily to keep up with the due date. It would be wise to put them in your calendar or see if the pulse app will help.

I've taken this class as an online 6 week course and it's been a breeze. Each week the unit of work consist of 4 discussion posts and a quiz, no papers, only test are midterm and final exam. He's very clear on what he wants and provides links for everything which has been very helpful.

The best thing about this professor is that he gave a hyper doc for every unit. This included vocal words, small video resources, extra reading resources, flashcards he made for the class. He is an amazing professor! I took him for a six week summer class online and he was very clear with instructions and is a easy grader! It only took me about an 40 minutes to finish all his assignments. Only really two test he gives, midterm and final exam and both are very easy if you do the readings!

The biggest take away I have from this professor was his compassion. I missed a test, and he had every right to assign me a zero, but he allowed me partial credit. With the optional extra credit, I was still able to achieve an A. The discussion posts were not only informative but a lot of fun.

The exams are fun and easy, no papers to write, and assignments for homework were so easy because he gives you room to do it how you would like, meaning there are no restrictions on how to do the assignment. Gives you plenty of ways to study for exams and honestly i recommend taking him.

This class is a great class to take for online history. Expect to do many discussions, but it works out in the end because you will not have to do a semester paper. If you do all the work you will be guaranteed to pass the class. Make sure you study for the tests though because they count for a vast majority of the final grade.

This professor is laid back, and his class is very easy to take. His resources are straightforward and very informational (and interesting). He provides PowerPoint notes, which summarize the textbook readings. He also provides a study list to make sure we know what to learn for the tests. He also gives us two weeks (or more) to finish the units!

He does have a help me discussion forum that you can go to if you have any issues, and he does check it regularly and gets back in a timely manner. If you're looking for an easy professor who you'll learn a lot from, I recommend!

Great Professor! Had some good video lectures, the workload is mostly discussion posts with some assignments mixed in and testing. I really wish I had taken the class in person because I enjoyed the teaching style in the videos and would have enjoyed discussions.

He gives lots of resources like powerpoints, videos, and recommended readings and videos, along with quizlet study sets. The discussion boards are fun and the tests are easy if you study the quizlet and powerpoints. Favorite teacher by far!

Take his HIST 1301 class! Great teacher, you don't need any textbooks for his class. I was an online student, he posts everything you need on a well organized hyperdoc. There are about 3-4 discussions for each module but they're super easy and can be finished in about 5 min. he offers easy extra credit at the end of the semester!

I liked Professel Terrell. This was an online course and he was able to grade everything in a respectful time. The class had discussion posts every week and everything was given to you. He also has 2 exams for his course and gives extra credit.

A good bit of discussion writing, 3 per unit for 6 units, but only about 5-7 sentences for each. Makes you really think about why decisions made in the past were made and helps you to understand them. Assignments were always very clear and posted on time. Grades were given in a timely manner. Did a very good job providing material to study

Professor Terrell is a good teacher. The summer class was online and very straight forward. Be prepared to write multiple discussions. Two tests. Reading material, videos and he even adds the quizlets to help with studying. This class is very easy IF you put in the work. Professor Terrel overall was a great teacher, he uses quizzizz for quiz and quia for tests. He does a lot of discussions but he doesn't ask for a specific word count only a few sentences and grades on if you actually know what you are reading. I would recommend his class for someone who is looking for fast pace and easy grading.

He's pretty chill - there are a lot of discussions that are a bit time-consuming but they're not particularly difficult. He provides many different materials which is great because then you can use whatever helps you learn best but you don't have to use all of it. He also responds to emails pretty quickly. The syllabus was easy to follow and the assignments were easy to maintain. The thing that took me longest to do was the discussion questions that we had every week. If you are taking this class be ready to write, and put yourself in the situations of American presidents.

Few discussions are given a week but nothing that is not manageable. Provides feedback wen needed. Gives out many notes that help alot wen understanding the objective.

Professor Terrell gave literally handed you all the material that you needed to know, this was done in a "hyperdoc" that he organized himself which was very helpful throughout the semester. Tons of discussions that were all something like "you're a business owner in ___ time period and are faced with ___ problem. What would you do and why?" which was a lot of work for not a lot of weight on the grade. Tests were difficult but not on the lockdown browser. Prof. was a bit unorganized and communication was confusing but not terrible.

Professor Terrell was fair and provided a clear idea of what would be on the tests. Great amount of autonomous work during the summer session. Love the way he organized his class. The assignments prepared you for the exams.

I recommend Professor Terrell! He gives a clear grading outline and provides the proper material that allows you to pass with ease as long as you do your part.
