Mr. Boss is a great teacher. I really did enjoy his class and he trys to make a long class as interesting as possible. The guy is hilarious and I think he made a somewhat boring subject fun. Most of the field trips are actually really cool. He is a very fair teacher on grading. The journals you do for this class are not so bad. 39 in all. A++++++++

Great teacher, young, fun, and makes the class as interesting as possible for a 4 hour class. The field trips are fun and interesting if you pay attention. The journals aren't bad (39 entries) it's easier if you keep up with them each week instead of doing them all at the end. Use the CD that comes with the book to study! It helps!

Wilkinson is a cool professor. He's laid back, funny, nice, and very accommodating. There's homework every week plus the journals, but it's really not that bad. The field trips are great and he makes the class fun and interesting. I definitely recommend him for SWFL Environmental Bio.

You knew what to expect when you showed up for class. It was all pretty cut and dry.

pretty easy class journal entrys and hw were easy and some of the field trips were pretty cool

Good class, not a bad professor either. When I first started class I thought he was going to be extremley tough but he really wasen't all that bad. Make sure you do all the homeworks and the Journals! It will keep you well prepared for the quiz's and tests, if you do everything right you should have no problem scoring atleast a B in the class.

good guy. very knowledgable of the material. increases your interest/passion for the environment. good sense of humor. class is long, but fieldtrips are fun.

He is a great teacher in my opinion. Yes there is a journal book but its not bad...

Overall he is a great teacher, one of the best I have had. He is very nice and understanding. My only advice is, do not wait to do the journal until the last minute! It is painful and takes a long time. Other then that, he is great

Gives alot of busy work but his class is an easy a. you dont walk through the swamps but rather on boardwalks. quizes and tests are on only the homework.

Wilkinson is young, fun, and very excited about the environment. He is knowledgeable about the subject and loves his students to be interactive. His tests and quizzes are pretty straight-forward. Just don't procrastinate on the journals and you shouldn't have any problems!

Class is easy. Homework is optional, all the answers for quizzes and tests are in there. Do 3 journals a week. He repeats what will be on the exam multiple times. The Final was just the last 4 chapters, like the other big exams. I learned a lot about Florida environment, and loved this class. Not hard on the eyes either;p an awesome teacher.

Professor Wilkinson is great. Doesn't teach much, but if you go, stay the entire class, and just do the simple papers without cutting them short your sure to earn an A. He is very very flexible with due dates most of the time and always avaiable in his office.

Prof. Wilkinson is extremely excited about nature. Easy on the eyes and very cute when he say's "about" in his Canadian accent. Tests are all from chapter reviews as well as quiz quizzes. Definitely would take him again for Colloquium.

Class pretty easy. DO THE HOMEWORK and JOURNALS! Tests are not that bad if you study/read the book. Random group project. Field trips are lame. He is pretty laid back.

I took this professor for SW Bio and enjoyed it more than i thought i would. You have hw and weekly quizzes. if you do good on the quizzes and alright on the tests youll be good. The tests are challenging so just do good on everything else and you can get an A. He was very nice, helpful, and funny.

LOVE LOVE LOVE Professor Wilkinson! Made Colloquium fun and easy! Take it in Summer with him, it goes by super fast. Get ready to write a lotttt. DO NOT put off your journals..they're a page long each and there is 30 of them. Overall, an amazing, funny professor! Take him!!

He does favor the girls whom are more flirtacious w/ him however he gives them the grade that they deserve. Most girls he favors receive mid to low C's on their quizzes. I study lightly the night before the exam, plus he does his lecture right before &I get mostly high B's - A's. Just don't procrastinate on the journals.

Mr. Wilkinson was a great teacher! It's a pretty easy class as long as you do your homework, study the homework for your tests/quizzes and do the journals. Class lectures can get boring, but he goes over the chapter material before the quiz at the end of classes. Even though class was 4 hours long, we always got out early.

He was a really nice teacher and loves what he teaches. His tests are hard...you really need to read all the chapters and study the quizzes/hw. Quizzes every class, not hard if you listen to the lecture.

I took him for environmental biology. He is an amazing teacher, I learned so much in his class. Also a plus, he is HOT!

Super helpful professor, really wants his students to do well! The field trips were always fun. He gets kind of boring, but if you get his humor it's alright :). Don't wait on the journals!!!!!

awesome professor! he is particular about grammar, so write your papers carefully. he is very nice, and truely cares about his students. Papers are the hardest thing but not difficult. interesting class, and videos

GREAT PROFESSOR! He truly loves his job and makes colloquium fun. He has 4 papers that are required but as long as you have he grammar/spelling and basic concepts down theres no reason to get less than an A (but thats any paper). The field trips are tiring but you learn a lot. He's very very attractive so his looks is a plus also!

I really liked this professor! He always knew what he was talking about and you could tell he loves what he teaches. I took his four hour 8am class and I was able to stay awake and interested the whole class even though it was long. He gives 2 breaks every class and most of the time lets you out early. I recommend him!

This is a great class for non-science majors! There are a lot of fun field trips and really easy classwork. There's homework every week which is easy but time consuming. The weekly quizzes come straight from the homework. Tests are straight from the homework and quizzes. Professor is very nice and funny too. Definitely recommend!

Professor Wilkinson is a young guy and really easy to get along with. His Foundations class was easy, but he will make it hard for you if you try to take advantage of that. Just do the work and participate in classroom debates and you'll get an A. Great professor and a great guy.

Very easy class. Quizes every week but they are directely off the hw. If you study the HW you will get an A on the exams as well. The field trips are kinda boring and the journal you have to do is a pain, but it is a very easy A. You can even do the hw during class and he answers a majority of the questions.Highly recommended for non science people

I LOVE THIS PROFESSOR! Class is super easy and hes young so he understands. Tests are straight from the hw. He is very funny, had the class laughing everytime. Having a teacher that makes the class interesting is a huge help for me. I loved the stories he told and his side comments are hilarious. I wish he taught all my classes!

This is an easy class if you follow along with the readings and stay on top of your journal. You go on field trips off of campus during scheduled class time. If you need an easy point building class and are willing to put a little effort in readings, then this is your class.

Doing the HW and his journal is the hardest part of this class, which isnt even hard its just time consuming. The quizes are directly off the hw so if you do it and study it you cannot fail this class.

One of the best teachers ive had. I took his class for environmental biology, and it was the incredibly fun and interactive. You end up learning everything without even trying

Overall easy class, loves participation. Journal was time consuming but easy, extra effort didn't get me extra credit like he hinted to the class. Attendance is mandatory and will greatly affect grade, had to fight him over it even though I had proof for absences. Other than attendance issue, awesome professor

Easy one of the best professors I have ever had at FGCU. Attendance was mandatory in my class, but missing a class or two didn't affect your grade much at all. Weekly quizzes with questions from the hw. Do the hw, go to class, KEEP UP WITH YOUR JOURNAL ENTRIES!!! Don't try to cram them into the end of the semester & you'll have no problem passing.

Very passionate about the subject matter and he makes it fun. He is definitely an environmentalist and will teach the class from that perspective. Tests can be a challenge, but study the book and class notes and you will be fine. Off campus trips were fun.

Enviro Bio SW FLA with Professor Wilkinson is a lot of fun and you learn (and laugh!) so much. The required field trips are awesome! Keep up with journal entries, weekly quizzes are (one) group project are easy, and (three) his exams are from his power point notes (not released). So take good notes! Awesome class and professor, HIGHLY recommended!!

Pretty much reviews homework and then gives quiz right after. Journals are a pain but easy. Pay attention on field trips!

Mr. Wilkinson has an amazing sense of humor and really makes his class interesting. I was originally taking this class to fill my science requirements but it's by far my favorite this semester.

Wilkinson is hilarious. He is so excited about his subject, and its contagious. i had him for a 4 hour class which was tough, but he made it as fun as possible. Make a group of friends though, because for most of the year you work with the same 6 people in a small group.

Great teacher, he explains something if you don't understand it. His homework assignments are hella easy and he does everything he possibly can to help you pass. He loves group work so if that's not what you're into, i don't recommend him

Professor Wilkinson is an amazing professor! I had an emergency with my pet and missed a field trip and he told me not to worry about making it up and that I could do a different assignment. He's very down to earth and understanding, and really cares that you learn the material. He explains everything clearly!

Professor Wilkinson is AMAZING at facilitating the class. The class activities keep everyone engaged and it is such a fun way to learn! Highly recommend, and you will laugh a lot!

Wilkinson is by far the BEST science based instructor I have had yet!! He makes our whole class laugh nearly every class with comments or stories he shares with us. While there is work he explains everything and is very willing to sit down to help you during office hours or after class if need be. I will be taking more of his classes!!

He is a very good teacher, keeps the class entertained. i took at 4 & a half hour class and it was never boring, as long as you show up & pay somewhat attention you will get a good grade. he's also hilarious

Andy Wilky is by far one of the best professors you can ever have while in FGCU. He is caring, considerate and intelligent. He's also Canadian. Wilkinson cares about what he teaches and wants you to learn. He makes a 4 hour class seem like 50 minutes. You get nice breaks and get out early. The only downside is that he knows nothing about insects

Mr. Wilkinson is such a nice professor. He's a Canadian with an accent and a huge heart. He's very sweet and has an amazing class. Even if you get stuck with a long one-weekly class, it's never boring and you get to leave early a lot. The tests aren't very hard. Just write down what he tells you and anything important in his posted powerpoints.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Wilkinson!! A must-take prof for colloquium! So sweet, funny, chill, awesome, personable professor. Recommend him to anyone who hasn't taken colloquium yet - seriously! He made the class so fun & I actually looked forward to it, even during summer A. There's 1 group presentation that's easy, some writing assignments, no real tests.

Wilkinson is the best professor I've had at FGCU. really funny and lectures aren't boring, Study before the tests and you'll be fine. lots of group projects but all easy, don't get stuck with a bad group the first day of class. He takes notice of students that ace his tests and he's lenient with curving/extra credit

Professor Wilkinson is a really cool guy. He is naturally hilarious and is so passionate about the environment. The work we do in this class is extremely easy, fun, and not very time consuming. There are a ton of extra credit opportunities, they'll really boost your grade.

Nice Personality! Attendance is mandatory!! Stickler on the Essays, very harsh grader on those so pick up writing skills fast!!! Textbook needed for journals. Try and find an easier professor, not an easy A!!

Best professor, he is a great person that really cares about his students. Will check up on you and tries to not give hours and hours of homework. He is very reasonable and UNDERSTANDS! He really knows his stuff and is great for helping. He is humble and never talks down to or is rude to students like other professors do. Definitely recommend!!

Wilkinson is an amazing guy. He really cares about his students learning the material and he is very passionate about the environment. The class is good but he depends a lot on lectures and group work. There are also a lot of times where you will have to present. If you have social anxiety I don't recommend him.

One of the best teacher that I have had so far at FGCU. I would highly recommend taking his class. He makes class fun and gives out plenty of extra credit opportunities. He lectures and gives in class activities that are easy and fun as well as many group projects. Home work is minimal and easy. Overall he is a funny professor that cares.

Very very easy class. His online class is very basic, like taking a dual class in high school. As long as you do the weekly assignments (I only ever did anything for this class on Sundays a couple hours before 11:59) you'll be fine. Its just reviewing the course materials, definitely take if you wanna easy A. He's also very communicative & nice:)

Good professor to take for colloquium. He was reasonable and made accommodations for the class when needed. Offered extra credit for active participation. He was accessible outside of class. Clear grading rubrics. Field trips were online and in person. Both were easy. The essay had clear feedback. If you put in effort into the work, you'll pass.

Wilkinson is a funny and knowledgeable professor. A tough grader on essays but gives the feedback needed to improve. Responds quick to emails and is very nice!

I would definitely recommend taking a class with Prof. Wilkinson. We had online quizzes where you were encourgaed to use the textbook, various in-class activities that were graded, and only a few papers and exams. He was always available for questions and made the presentations enjoyable with lots of jokes and videos

Mr.Wilkinson was one of the best professors I've had! he's hilarious and super chill with assignments. He gives out a lot of extra credit and is flexible with missing assignments. Coming to class was fun and we did a lot of group projects but they were all very easy. Overall good teacher to take a class with if you want an easy A!

Take this professor! He is very interactive in his class the 3 hour classes aren't dreadful compared to other classes. Hes very personable and cares to get to know his students. Offers many opportunities for extra credit and most assignments are done in class with your table.

Please take this class if you need a natural science credit. He extends assignments and grades fairly. There's not a lot to do aside from discussion posts, exams, and website reviews. Most assignments are heavy on research, but if you get the work done on time, then you're good. Highly recommended.
