Mr. Wilson is fabulous. He really cares about his students and wants them to succeed. He's hilarious but also very sweet. He made a 2 1/2 hour summer school course fly by. If you ever have the opportunity to take him, I highly recommend you do.

Mr. Wilson is a fantastic teacher. he admits to being an easy grader. made english really fun, and i learned a lot in the process. makes sure everyone understands what he's talking about in lectures. the nicest guy in the world. if you meet with him about your papers, he helps you out tremendously.

Dr. Wilson is one of the best teachers I've ever had. i've always hated english but he made me love it. if you visit him for papers he is a tremendous help, he even helps you write a little bit of it. by cuting out certain sentences and rewording them for you.makes a lot of good comments on papers

I took his class about 4 years ago and still remember him as one of the best instructors I had, and the best at Harper. He really encouraged me to major in English, though I had not considered it before. I'm very lucky and happy that I had an instructor help point me in the right direction early on.

He is an excellent teacher! I love coming to his class, he is very polite, helpful, and interesting! His grading is fair and open. I don't participate in discusion due to shy disabilities, and he has not been punishing on that at all. I am a bit surprised to read some of the comments. He is overall a terrific teacher and he makes me question my own major to maybe literature.

One of the greatest teachers I have had. I took him for the Honors Challenger, which is similar to a newspaper. Mr. Wilson taught me the intricacies of the English language. This teacher cares, and he diligently worked with me personally on the issues. Also, he wrote a recommendation letter on my behalf, the next day after I asked him to.

Dr.Wilson is an awesome teacher. He is very kind and understanding. His class is pretty easy. Its hard not to get an A in the class. There are readings, quizzes, and 2 papers. As long as you do the readings you will be fine. If you don't take him,you will be missing out on a fantastic teacher.

Mr. Wilson is the bomb! You have to do the readings for there are daily quizzes but they are just to prove that you read. He is extremely understanding and is very passionate about his teachings. Very smart and knowledgeable. He will actually make you love class and not mind going. Class discussions are great and the paper is not bad.

You need to read the material to pass the class and attenence is mandatory. basiclly, you read the short story, go to class, take a quiz and talk about the story the whole class time. It was quite difficult for me to stay up.

He's awesome. The grade consists of short easy quizzes on readings and one mid term essay that you have to add two pages to and change it into a research final paper. As long as you do your readings and do the essay on time it's an easy A.

Gets carried away from lecture and talks about his past and present life. Likes to point out the sex in the textbooks. Sort of creepy if you know what I mean.

Mr. Wilson is a great teacher. He is very understanding person and has a good sense of humor. I do not like English, but Andrew makes class interesting and he is a fair grader so passing ENG101 is not that hard. The grade consists of small quizzes on readings and four essays. I really recommend this teacher!

His class is very interesting. He likes to point out funny things in the reading to keep us awake when talking about boring authors and stories. He seems to be really engaged in what the students want and need and is very accomidating. I took his honors class in junction with a philosophy course, and I learned alot more than I thought I would!

I took Wilson for both ENG102 and 220 and he is AWESOME. He definitely knows his stuff and he's fun to listen to when he lectures. Plus he's a fair grader and he's super nice. Take him take him take him.

I took his LIT 115 web version, which was his first time teaching the class via online. Always left extensive comments and was very helpful. Returned work promptly and was always willing to help. Warning: his syllabus was nearly 14 pages long, but he wants to be certain everyone is on the same page. Great professor.

Professor Wilson is the NICEST guy at Harper. He cares for the students 100%. If you show interest in the topics and are well engaged and do the homework, you are set. I loved his style of teaching. We had many things to read for each class that were all very interesting. I recommend taking his linked/combined course with PSY 225 (with Johnston).

I took his Honors class & I loved it. The nicest prof ever and he made sure everyone's voice was heard in class discussions. Very prompt w returning assignments w lots of comments. Biggest regret is that I couldn't take another class with him. If you love to learn, you have to take one of his classes.

Professor Wilson is a teacher than inspires you to think outside the box, intrigues you to question the unknown, and encourages you to debate your interpretations of the material. He is very straight-forward, with a comprehensive syllabus and available anytime you need him. He respects your opinion but also provides constructive criticism.

Mr. Wilson is a genuine person, and will be there for you if you need help in his class. He does talk a lot, but I really didn't mind it because he's a funny guy. He goes into a lot of detail when readings are being discussed, but that just makes everything more interesting.

Wilson is quite a rare find. I'm not sure I've met a better English professor or person. I don't think I can do him justice in 300 characters. He puts his students above all else, truly eager to hear what they have to say. He practically writes nice papers in response to students' writings. He will go far beyond the call of duty to help anyone.

Mr. Wilson is a really good teacher, he answers any question. There are 4 papers and 2 test(papers) the midterm and final. I have to say that its a lot of work and more for the test is cumulative of the readings. There's a lot of home reading, and discussion in class(counts for the grade).

Mr. Wilson can talk a lot! but it is because he is passionate about what he does. He really takes the time to help his students. He's very sweet and is very sympathetic when grading. Hes not very strict, hes very lenient and chill. It is very easy to pass this class as long as you do the reading!

This is a great man and teacher. He is so sweet and very smart. The class I took was a 2.5 hour class once a week so he does talk a lot during that time but I rarely found myself bored because he made it very interesting. He is also very good about meeting with you outside of class if you ever need help writing a paper. Great guy!

Only great things to say... Not only does he take his time and give you thoughtful feedback on your discussion posts and papers, but he's very straightforward with what he asks for. Weekly readings and discussion boards but if you craft a decent reply and focus on what you're reading, even the midterm and final should be a breeze. Would take again!

Amazing professor!!! He has been my favorite professor so far. I had some trouble in the beginning of the semester and he totally understood and let me redo assignments. He truly cares about his students. Nothing but good things from talking his classes.

In the 8 week course we had to read a short story every week, take a quiz on it, and participate in the discussion post. The quizzes were every Monday so try to read ahead so you're not cramming it all in one day. There's two papers and a final exam. He gives great feedback and it's very helpful. If you pay attention to what you read you'll be fine

Professor Wilson clearly enjoys teaching English which makes it so nice as a student to learn from someone like that. There was no textbook. Instead we read a bunch of short stories (which were posted in blackboard) and they were all very interesting. He gave VERY detailed feedback to discussion board posts/quizzes/papers which was helpful!

Professor Wilson is a real gem! Although this was an online summer course, it felt like he was right there with you throughout the whole class. He genuinely cares about his students and will provide you with so much great feedback. Don't hesitate to take this class. We need more professors out there like him!!

I don't have enough nice things to say about Mr. Wilson. I took his online E102 class and he is by far the best professor I have ever had. He actually takes time to make sure you know what you're doing and he is so easy to get a hold of. You get tons of feedback on your papers. I wish I needed another English class so I could take him again.

Best English Professor I've even had. He provides very good feedback and gives you a balanced load of assignments. No book required, he assigns short stories instead. I would totally take a course instructed by Professor Wilson again.

He's the BEST at giving feedback. I was a bit nervous when registering for ENG 102 bc English is my 2nd language, but Wilson made everything very easy. He teaches ESL too, so he knows how a student may struggle. Even though he sometimes thinks that his feedback is nit-picky, I found it great because it helped me become a better, confident writer.

Professor Wilson is awesome. He gives very thorough feedback and has clear expectations. Online class - discussion post each week plus a short story to read, analyze, and discuss. 2 papers due end of session but 2nd paper can build on the first so you really learn material. Final was long but given a lot of time. Definitely take him if you can.

I am a student from a D1 University and came back home for a summer course here at Harper. His ability to care and provide feedback has left me speechless. I thought all college professors were basically rude and did not care, but Mr. Wilson is the biggest exception! He has showed me that mistakes are ok and not the end of the world.

Professor Wilson is outstanding! He clearly cares about each student and that is evident by his feedback on assignments. He takes time to write feedback on each assignment and it is extremely helpful and thorough. Everything we did in this class was reasonable and all short stories were interesting.

Prof. Wilson encourages communication outside of class, grades promptly, & even made a free custom textbook for our course. His class was my first as a dual enrollment student, and was a great intro to college coursework. Prof. Wilson wrote a lovely rec letter for my undergrad applications & genuinely cares about his students. Take him if you can!

Choose Mr. Wilson if you have the chance. Assignments are easy and fast if you read the story's you are assigned. He comments extensively on your assignments with positive feedback that encourages you to do better. I loved being in this class and wish I was able to attend in person rather than online. Mr. Wilson is the best I wish I had him longer.

Mr. Wilson transitioned from in person to an online class so well! COVID caused Harper to shut down and go to all remote learning but he still made the class so interesting and chose such great stories for his students to read! He leaves comments on almost everything that's due in the class and you can tell he cares so much about what he teaches!

Best english teacher Ive ever had! If you do all the readings he assigns the homework isnt bad. I took the 8 week class and only had 2 papers. Gives feed back on almost all homework and you can tell he genuinely cares about all his students. I wish I could have taken this class in person. If you have the chance go take his class, take it!!

If you have the choice, take this class! Prof Wilson is super fun and engaging with his students. Even for the smallest assignments, I always received at least a paragraph of feedback on what I did well on and what I can improve on for next time. He is strict about due dates but the workload is light so if you stay on top of it, you'll be all good!

I really appreciated all the feedback he provided for each assignment he graded, made me feel he cares very much about our education and his professional work. Mr. Wilson is an amazing English professor. I had him for ENG 101 and ENG 102 (both eight week courses) and truly enjoyed his class. ENG 102 is a little more challenging (in a good way) since it is more about analysis than comprehension but he guides you along the way. His feedback is very helpful as well. If I could I would take his class again:)

Mr Wilson was a great teacher and cares a lot for the students. He gives really good feedback. Only bad thing is the online quizzes you take will be proctored. There will be quizzes once a week for the story he's going to provide + discussion posts. There is an Essay, Final exam and Research paper for this class. DO NOT PLAGIARIZE!

Great, thorough professor. You can tell he really cares. Class consists of weekly short stories, quick quizzes to make sure you read them, weekly discussion posts, and two essay assignments. Gives far more detailed feedback than any professor I have had. Listen to it and you should have no problem getting a good grade.

Mr. Wilson's Multicultural American Lit class was great! At first, I was a bit nervous, but the class turned out to cover some great text and topics! There is a good amount of reading each week, including short stories and two books for the semester. You take easy quizzes to make sure you read and there are two essays & exams in the semester.

be warned, there is a lot of homework and you have to do all of the reading and assignments to do well in the class, but it's so worth it. he is very caring and puts so much effort into giving feedback as well as clear instructions on what to do. if you put in the effort, he will match it tenfold.

Don't waste your time looking through teachers if you're considering Mr.Wilson. He's a great teacher. Good guy who actually deserves his job unlike the other 90% of teachers. He's that one in a million teacher everyone wishes they could get. Take him you won't be disappointed in the slightest.

Prof Wilson is a great professor. He actually cares about his students. 8 readings, quiz, and DB, 2 essays, 1 final exam. If you read and understand most of the stories, you will no doubt pass. His emails are quiet long and frequent, but they are always helpful. He gives constant reminders. He gives feedback on most assignments which is HELPFUL!

I took so many ESL classes at Harper and he was the best one. I took his summer class which was really fun and great. He gives good feedback and always explains almost everything, and his explanations are so understandable, that I did not even need to use a translator. Definitely going to retake his class if I get an opportunity to get one.

I had this professor for 8 weeks. I say he is a great professor and gives straightforward feedback. Though, it is a lot of reading, and you have to be responsible to keep up with work and DB. The quizzes are simple, but details need to be provided in order for him to know you read it. His instructions are clear, also he answers emails well!

Professor Wilson was the best professor I've had at Harper College. He was always understanding and provided excellent feedback. He truly cared about his students, often giving second chances and showing exceptional kindness. If I could take a class again, I would definitely choose English 102 with Professor Wilson. He's an amazing professor! I typically don't enjoy reading, but it wasn't hard to keep up even in the 8-week setting. The DB's were a bit tedious, and he can be a bit nitpicky with his grading, but you'll know what he's looking for after the first few assignments. Don't worry too much about the final research essay, it's not as bad as it seems!

Professor Wilson is a great teacher who genuinely cares. His class is challenging but manageable with effort - the readings and assignments are engaging. Unstuckstudy was really helpful for preparing the weekly quizzes.

Though most of his stories are long, they are very interesting and easy to understand. You might be overwhelmed in the beginning, but as you get a routine his class will be very easy to manage!
