Great prof. Keeps it interesting. Funny, and keeps your attention. Tests can be tough, assignments are super easy. He brings in real world examples (not "what if's", but actually pulled up statistics from stats canada website, etc), which I found really helped me understand the concepts. Definitely would recommend him.

Better than average lecturer, able to make driest bits tolerable. However, reliance on aplia for assignments is LAZY and their questions do not exercise understanding. Writes terrible exams, with the cheapest kind of trick questions. Many questions are plainly arbitrary, with typos and occasionally multiple listings of correct answers. Read yr book

He is a good lecturer, but his exams are incredibly annoying. You don't really need a deep understanding of the material at all, but if you want to do well you need to know everything that's in the textbook. His powerpoints are useless as a study material, just read the textbook and read it again.

Econ 282 is kind of lame compared to 281, but Wong makes it quite interesting. If you like econ, you should like his class. His two midterms are more difficult than the final and none of the exams are even similar to previous ones he gives for practising. Read the ppt slides and if you like real data, enjoy the class. BTW he speaks in lolspeak!

Awesome, willing to help with a good sense of humor. Exams are fair and textbook oriented. Powerpoints summarize the textbook and give main ideas but like any course it is required that the textbook be read to gain an in depth understanding and to further reflect on key ideas. Very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about Economics.

The professor teaches basically directly from the textbook and posts notes online. That being said, macroeconomics can be a little dry, so it's in your interest to go to class. He does a pretty good job of livening up the material. Be sure to understand the case studies - anything on his powerpoint slides is testable material.

Lots of bad ratings, but don't be scared to take this course w/ Wong. There are ways to be successful. 1. read and understand concepts in textbook (READDDD!). 2. Do review questions and practice problems at end of textbook 2. do practice exams and ensure you understand why it's the correct answer. 3. email him if you have any questions.

The only good thing this professor did was scale the class very low so the grades weren't as bad as they were. To put things into perspective, to receive an A- in this class, you needed around a 77%. That is awfully low for a intro economics class. That may sound good, but it was like this because of how bad this class was and how many kids failed.

Worst. Prof. Ever. 20-minute videos per week are NOT enough to teach a course. No live sessions, only a painfully convoluted textbook.
