an excellent professor! he's a very understanding guy that always wants you to do your best. if you have issues in the class, you can always approach him and work things out. as long as you go to class, do your work, an A wont be hard to get.

This guy is cool and easy. He don't give any quizes or any hard homework. His papers are easy and you can redo them as many times as you want to get the grade. Easy B.

So helpful! This course could have been scarey, but let us work through it together at a fair pace, always gave feedback/one-on-one help during work time, group feedback (but no group projects!), even responding to e-mails! Take any of his courses!

This professor is highly recommended! The assignments are fun and easy. He is very understanding about personal situations, but he will get angry if you try to take advantage of him. Come to class and put forth an honest effort and this is an easy A.

Andy Brown is the best English teacher I have ever had. He is creative, comical and very helpful. He cares about you as a student. Very good teacher

I woudln't give Mr. Brown the best rating because he was sometimes very unclear about how to do things. You read Hayy Potter, and he tries to make assignments relate,, but sometimes they just don't. So if you want a class where you do nothing and learn next to nothing, take his class.

Holy crap this guy is the sh*t! So freaking easy. Class is a joke. The first project is to turn in a couple of sources and it's graded out of 125 points!!! The EASIEST A I have ever received in my entire life. You will only have to put in a few hours of busy work in. If you cant make an A in Mr. Brown's class, you're an idiot.

Absolutely loved him!! He is definitely my favorite professor at UNCC so far. His class is very easy! It feels like you don't do anything the entire semester but by the time you are done you actually learn a lot. He is very humorous and sweet. Loves having parties in class and going outside for class. I highly recommend him!

Be prepared: By the end of the semester, you will cringe every time you hear the name "Harry Potter". He will Harry potter you to death. There is a very informative text book for the class, and what he does is he tried to tie what is learned in the textbook to Harry Potter and then turns it into a project. He's super hilarious, easy to talk to about problems, and nobody can wear a Trading Spaces jersey like Andy Brown can!

This man is crazy! He's always entertaining, loves telling stories and making jokes...somtimes comes to class in a trading spaces shirt or a cape...def a bit odd, but incredibly funny. The class goes by incredibly fast,and you never do any assignments except for a couple projects which are incredibly easy. And anyway, who doesn't love harry Potter?

My boyfriend and I took him in the summer and it was the easiest and most enjoyable class ever. Lots of laughs; Prof Brown is the coolest, he's an ordained minister but talks about using tarot cards and performing wiccan weddings. I so want him to marry me and my boyfriend when the time comes, it would be the coolest wedding EVER. TAKE PROF BROWN!

Professor Brown was a great English teacher. He is fun and enteretaining. He really tries to get everyone involved. He made his class unusual and it was against all those English teachers you hated in high school. All projects and no essays. Take him if you can.

Professor Brown Is a GREAT teacher he presents the work in a format that anyone can understand. He is always open to questions and helping you in anyway he can. UNCC needs more Professors like Professor Brown. Thanks for all that you do Professor Brown! Professor Brown is a MUST TAKE!

If you love Harry Potter you will have an A. Even if you don't he gives so much extra credit that you would have to not be able to read to get less then an A. Mr. Brown is eveything an English teacher should be.

This guy is the opposite of all the english teachers you've hated in the past. 3 easy-ass projects and lots of fun & amusement inbetween. Easy A. If you have a teacher that says "1102 is harder" like my 1101 teacher frequently said, take Prof. Brown and prove them wrong!

Professor Brown is an awsome guy, he is very helpfull, very intelligent, and very down to earth. He has three projects, which are all easy to do, and only one of them is a paper. If u have a chance to take him, TAKE HIM, he is the best english teacher i've ever had.

I had Brown for ENGL 1101 and 1102 and both were great! He is an awesome professor, and I would recommend him to anybody! Very easy class, very laid back, and he is hilarious!!

AMAZING guy! THE BEST! he fills ur mailbox with email bc he cancels so many classes, but i'd rather read than show up ;) he's a Harry Potter fanatic, but if you're not a fan, not a problem. Sparknotes, plus you dont have to write about the books, you pick. he just uses it heavily as examples..remember but sparknotes. EASIEST GRADER EVERRRR!! A+++++

This guy is awesome! You will be tired of Harry Potter by the end of the semester but the projects he gives on the books are relatively easy and he is an easy grader. You have no reason not to come to class because he is always entertaining. We watched at least 3 episodes of CSI, but he tied it to what we were studying well. Great professor!

Amazing class -- took it for a goal, dreaded it. But it was the best English class I have EVER had! I actually like reading now. Expect work, but if you don't earn -- EARN -- an A, then you are brain dead. Completely.

This is the best teacher you will ever have. He helps the students learn and is forgiving in their writing styles. He is very approachable and you will wish you had him for all your classes. Pick him! You won't regret it!

Great professor, kept class interesting with cool topics to write about. I didnt buy the book for this class that he required ( we NEVER used it). Very approachable and overall a nice guy. Get him early his classes fills up fast!

This is a great guy and he makes the class fun. For those taking him because it is an "easy" A, forget it. He makes you think and process information when you may not even realize it. Don't walk over him, he is very forgiving and understanding. i wish there were more like him.

professor brown is the best teacher you will ever have! he is very helpful and emails you back quickly. he stops emailing at 10 o clock at night though. not the easiest "A" but if you try you will do fine in his class i promise! you wont regret taking any of his classes

He is a great teacher. He was absent a lot because of his parents. The assignments wer short, easy, and fun. He gives you slack because his life is so hectic. I doubt anybody in that class got less than an A.

if you need an super easy A+ class take him. he makes everything easy. he always cancles classes. usually we go to 1 class a week instead of 2 a week.

A great Man who really cares about teaching and not grades. One of the kindest teachers i have had so far, he really goes out of his way to educate students on relevant topics more than he does on the language. Great class Easy A with the sufficient work

I absolutely LOVED this class. I prayed to get into his class next semester and I did! He's a very involved professor and honestly cares about the students. He's witty and funny as heck. If you value your time at UNC...take him!!

He is definitely dedicated to helping studens transition into college. I took this class at 8am and just wanted to go to class and leave but this man can talk and may even keep you over. This was an alright class, not my favorite but he is a good professor for 1101

Dr. Brown is a good guy, willing to work with you, affable. However, I feel I have learned relatively little in the way of English and composition. His assignments are open ended to a fault. Also has a tendency to ramble, but if you're just looking to ace your English classes, Brown is the man.

Veryyyy easy. We've barely done any work and it is nearing the end of the semester. Class has been cancelled around 4 or 5 times. You also get four free absences. He is way better than any other English teacher, trust me. Take him if you have the opportunity.

He is an amicable fellow, but a bit eccentric! His class didn’t demand a great deal of time and effort; however, I learned very little from him. Overall, he is a friendly, kind, helpful, and somewhat-odd professor that provides a path for an easy grade. Nevertheless, if you enroll in his course, I doubt that you will benefit for his instruction.

BY FAR MY FAVORITE professor I have ever had. He is an odd and intellectual fellow who is always willing to help. His class is simple and not hard to follow. I admire the fact that he taught us more about life than english itself. You won't regret him.

He is one of the kindest people you will ever meet, and relates very well to his students. He cares a lot about what he teaches, but is often likely to get extremely off topic, and sometimes gives you assignments that have little to nothing to do with the course itself.

This professor is very understanding. He even announces that he knows you have many responsibilities other than his class. The readings are on an easy level. Assignments are grades based on what you think was important in the prompt. Must shadow someone you admire, which creates connections to use in further classes. Must take!

You'll never have a professor as laid back & understanding as Mr. Brown. Very little outside work. Most of the time you'll wonder how any of it is even relevant. It all makes sense in the end, though, if you actually do it. Gets side tracked talking about the weather & other things often, but you learn to appreciate it. Count on a "hypothetical A."

Extremely caring professor that canceled class half the time (due to cancer, for which he was later fired) and was extremely lenient with deadlines and his grading. He actually understands that we have other classes, and canceled most of our assignments. Allows cell phones and requires laptops, and gave me an A though I deserved a C at best.
