Awesome coach!!

This class changed my gym routines for the better. I definitely got leaner, faster, and stronger. This class also improved my sleeping and eating habits. The perk of this class was that I was able to be more active this quarter without it interfearing with my Math,Chemistry, and English classes. My experience in this class was excellent.

Hes super chill and really understanding! Hands down one of my favorite professors! Just show up, do the work and youll pass. We were supposed to run a mile every 2 weeks but our class ran like 2 or 3 lol his class is really fun and I would definitely take it again if I could !

Professor Castro was one of the best professors I have had hands down! He is definitely an amazing professor who is very understanding and overall helpful. Professor Castro is real detailed in his lecture, he takes attendance the first couple weeks of class to get make sure he can attach a name to the face, he is easy to reach outside of class. He recommends the text book because we refer to it a lot especially for our test, he has a lot of dad jokes and its funny, take this professor!!!

He is seriously great! :) He gives two exams, 1 interview project, and 2 assignments. He does give a study guide for the final! I highly recommend to attend class cause his notes help with studying!

Learned a lot from Prof. Castro class. During this time on pandemic, with everyone going virtual, Prof. Castro still made this activity class engaging. Obviously you had to put the work in to get the full affect of the virtual class. The assignments and assessments are not hard, but take time to complete. Exams are off the lectures and powerpoint

I took professor Castro class during COVID while we were were required to take online class. Considering the circumstances, he was a fairly easy professors. He is lecture heavy but you gain a lot of information out of it. You walk away from this class knowing more about your health than you ever did. Id recommend taking his class.

Since the virus had a huge impact all around the world, classes had to be taken online. The homework assignments are super easy and doesnt take a lot of time. Has 4 quizzes and 3 exams, youll pass if you listen to the lectures and study. Have 2 projects super easy, you could finish them in the first week of classes. Overall great professor.

Overall, the professor is good. He knows his material and assignments given are easy if you do what you have to do. However, I wouldnt recommend taking online everything eventually becomes confusing.

Professor Castro is very helpful, given the fact that it was online. You must really watch his lectures if you want to pass. Staying on top of the quizzes from the textbooks are key since they each have deadlines of their own. There are about 9 chapters covered and each chapter has 2 quizzes. Overall, good teacher. Very straightforward.

If he is going to fast in the lecture, you can always review the presentations online on the blackboard. Make sure to read the book, if the book is read then the quiz and midterms are easy, common sense questions.

It was a pretty easy course and he made this online course easy not as hard and confusing as other professors. However you must make sure you are checking blackboard regularly as exams do pop up and due dates might change.

Professor Castro provided a regular schedule that students could follow along easily during the conversion to online classes. However, if you do take his class check what is due regularly because some times things change without being announced. Lectures were posted for the day then deleted the same day so keep that in mind. Very informative class.

It was a great class. There were many assignments on cengage but they were easy and quick. There are 4 quizzes and 2 exams that are easy to pass if you read.

He's okay the class is not rigorous and his assignments are pretty easy just quizzes and 2 projects to apply what you learned.

This class mainly has all the assignments on cengage, and 4 quizes on blackboard plus the exams. The assignments are due every week before the class. Also you do a meal plan and an exercise plan which aren't hard to make. This class isn't really hard, it's easy to pass as long as you do all the assignments.

I've had Prof Castro twice, earned an A each time. Pay attention during lectures-he's always giving out test questions/answers. The projects he assigns prepare you for your upper division classes. They're simple if you plan your time accordingly and don't procrastinate. Attendance isn't mandatory, but it's free points you'd be missing out on.

I took Professor Castro for Kin 3810 and it was an awesome class! He really cares about his students succeeding. During his lectures, you can tell that he is passionate about Kinesiology. Just attend all his classes and study the info he gives and you should be good! I would recommend everyone to take him! He is also a fan of the office !

Professor Castro did a great job teaching a weight training class online. The lectures were clear & to the point. All the info in the lectures was necessary for the final. You only need to submit a video for the workout & one for a cardiovascular fitness test. He's clear on what workout he wants to see & provides the exercises he did as an example.

Overall this professor was a great professor considering he is teaching online because of a full blown pandemic. He makes every assignment very easy to understand and explains further in detail if you have any questions. There is a lot of typing because of discussions and papers but, overall a good outstanding professor.

Honestly didn't expect to enjoy class so much, and yet I found myself completely interested in his lectures. Passionate, funny and empathetic, professor Castro is a real joy to have as a professor. His class required work and studying, but he was kind enough to really allow his students to thrive and succeed.

Professor Castro is pretty good overall. He does require your participation in class, and you will have group projects, but they are fairly easy if you give yourself enough time. A lot of his quizzes are based on his notes, so it is important you attend lecture.

Professor Castro is really nice and a pleasure of a professor. You have weekly workout videos you have to submit but its nothing too difficult. He also offers some extra credit. Professor Castro is one of my favorite Professors from the Kinesiology department. He talked the talked and walked the walked. Professor Castro not only explained the workouts, but he also did them with us. It's not just working out, but he also taught us the science and physiology behind exercising. Made every zoom session worth attending to.

Castro's class is a fairly fun class to take. He uses humor and joke for lectures to make it not boring. Prof. I took at this school and has set the bar high for the rest. He is very passionate about kinesiology. Very grateful to be a part of his classes.

Lectures go by really fast. It is important that you read and look over the material a head of time so that you can follow along. The professor is really understanding and is easy to approach. He gives physical demonstrations and examples of the lecture material by doing the activity himself or by having the class participate.

Attendance is key in this class, not only does he grade it but it will hinder your grade in the class because you miss a lot of information.

There were two group projects which weren't too bad, as long as you follow the instructions and even ask him for pointers, he will help you out.

It's very easy to have a conversation with him and genuinely cares for his students. He is pretty fast with answering emails and is flexible. However, just because he has a laidback personality does not mean that his class requires little effort. For tests and quizzes, you do have to actively participate and read the material to score well.

First off I want to say that Professor Castro is a very approachable professor which many students tend to struggle with other faculty. His classes are lecture heavy and my only complaint is that he moves a bit too fast but as long as you remain engaged you should be fine. He is a caring professor which is hard to come by nowadays.

The KINE2100 class is definitely one that can be a little boring since it has a lot to do with history. However, Professor Castro did his best to keep students engaged and make the class fun. Although the tests can be a little difficult at times, he does a great job at helping us prepare and throws a few easy answers to us.

I had a great time with coach Castro. Initially, I thought I was just going to lift however I wanted but we were given different types of training each week, which all had there own challenges but I enjoyed it very much! I definitely would take this class again.

Professor Castro is one of the best professors I've had at CSUSB. Professor Castro knows how to keep the class engaged at all times. His Exams are a bit difficult, but you should be fine. I recommend his courses if you enjoy a great learning environment.

he is so awesomeness. he is very lenient on letting you complete late work and very understandable as Lon as you communicate with him. He has a very fun classroom and worth to take again.

he is very considerate on letting you turn in late homework as long as you talk to him. make sure you pay attention to lectures because the quizzes and exams depend heavy on the lectures. when he says to write down something, make sure you write it down because it will be in the tests. He tries to make the class as fun as possible!

Professor Castro is one of the funniest yet most centered educator you can have, he is dynamic and really hears your needs. I've have couple classes tough by him and I can say he remains as an splendid person. More than a professor, I can say he feels more like a friend, I friend that tells you to ginger up when your falling behind.

You have to show up to class! you get graded for going to class and he only gives you some parts of the powerpoint and the rest you get from class. He is however an amazing professor and it is obvious he cares about his students and will work with you if you are struggling in any area of his class.

I have taken Professor Castro for a few classes now and he is easily one of the best Kinesiology professors. He is very caring and understanding towards his students. Some of his assignments can lean on the more difficult side but it's more time-consuming than anything. Show up to his class it's fun and you'll meet great people there too.

COURSE WAS KINE 3000 not 3200.... I decided to chose this kinesiology class in order to meet an elective requirement that I had to check off & glad I did. Take his class don't think twice. KINE3000, Castro was one of the best professors I've had the pleasure of taking. 10 discussion boards, some are done in class, 4 quizzes, 3 papers, and a final exam. Sounds like a lot but trust me it isn't as hard as it sounds. Castro will help you if you need it! Super cool and chill guy but his class can get confusing sometimes! Take notes!

ahhh where do i start. professor castro is an AMAZING teacher. i had him spring 2024. by far my favorite professor here at cal state. he is so sweet and understanding. i loved his lectures. yes it was a bit hard to memorize some things but its really all easy just do your work and pay attention in class. he makes it easy for you. Castro is a AWESOME professor. He's super easygoing and caring. The online homework is super easy and is a great learning tool.
