Very fun professor. Fun in a way that let's you open up to do speeches in front of the class. She helped me communicate better by being at ease and taught the basic fundamentals of speech. Please take her. If you fail the class that's all on you because she is clear in what she wants.

AWESOME professor. She's funny, keeps the class entertained while teaching, but is also super helpful when it comes to doing speeches. She is laid back but will also not let the class get out of control.

Love this teacher and the way she teaches. she's very clear on her topics and ideas. She is very funny and entertaining, so sitting there for an hour really goes faster than you think because of how engaged she is and how she knows how to get your attention. Very great teacher. She is wonderful!

She's a great professor but I would stay on her good side. There's somewhat a lot of note taking but not all of them are needed. The mid-term and final exams are just short answers which is very easy.

Current Events discussions at the beginning of each class to get everyone comfortable speaking was interesting. Super easy grader, with the same simple feedback for everyone which is a little annoying. 3 speeches, 1 teacher selected group project, Midterm and Final are 25 MC each. You would have to try pretty hard to fail this class.

Great teacher who gives great feedback and is inspirational. She talks about current events and gives great opinions. Speech was great with her and I would take a class with her again

She is a great teacher. Gets along with students, makes you feel comfortable. Prepares you for publicly speaking even if you've never done it before. Has specific directions you can't mess up. Professor Anderson taught me a lot! It's only an easy A if you come to class an put forth your best effort. If you're struggling she'll offer her assistance. I learned a lot about speaking and my hidden talent....I speak very well. Lol I'm taking her again because I feel I can learn more and continue to perfect my speaking craft!

Professor is nice and clear enough, but she should spend more time talking about the class and what we're supposed to learn instead of wasting so much time trying to make everybody laugh.

Just try and you will succeed! She is very encouraging and her class is never boring. I just took her for the 2nd 5 weeks this summer I loved it! Just be prepared to step out of your comfort zone if you are a shy person like me , if I did it you can too! Take this professor !

Love her. I hate public speaking but she helped me through it and encouraged me to work through it. There is one group project and she has extra bonus points at random if you give a speech without using um, like, etc. Take her if you are not confident in public speaking, you won't regret it.

She was by far the best professor I have had in 4 semesters at HCC and I would take any of her classes just to have her as a teacher . She made me feel welcomed and as if I was home. You have to take her even if you don't need a speech just take her so you can have the best professor In the world. But don't slack off, she wont take any of that

Professor Anderson is amazing! She is very helpful and tells you all you need to know. I bought the book never used once. :) I was not looking forward to public speaking but she made it easy and fun!!!

No textbook required. Class gets cancelled all the time and there are plenty of non required "library days" in place of class. Show a little effort: easy A. The class is 3 speeches and 2 tests and she goes through everything with you. She will give you feedback and help you with your speeches. She can get political. Overall good teacher.

Professor Anderson's speech class was fairly easy. As long as you took notes and studied for the tests, youyou'll pass. We had to give speeches but they were fairly easy. As long as they were 5 minutes you were good. I would highly recommend that you take Professor Anderson for speech because it's not difficult at all and she's a great teacher.

I am not a public speaker by any means and taking Professor Andersons class helped me a lot! She is funny, tough but understanding. She grades fairly and has an open door policy. I really don't understand how I got an A. This professor is so laid back and understanding when it comes to grading. I wasn't as active in class but she thoroughly explained all the lectures so everyone could understand. Due dates are always changing and she promotes open discussions in class which is always nice. I'd definitely take her again.

This is the best teacher EVER, What makes me upset is that because shes such a great teacher some students take advantage. Why take advantage of a class where the professor is always available and willing to help! Go to class, take it serious, do what she asks and that's it. she built my confidence more than she will ever know. I love her.

Professor Angela is the best prof I have had. She is an easy person, caring and always listen to your thinking. She really open with her lecture. Three presentations which required technical writing, she graded on it the most. Take her if you want an easy A, lots of library day (which is off) and class cancel. She felt irritate if you slack off.

The only difficulty in this class is that you have to give speeches in front of the class. If you HAVE to take a speech class then Doctor Anderson is the best way to go. She is an amazing person and very wise.

Professor Anderson's class is an easy A if you're willing to put in the work. All assignments had clear instructions, grading criteria and plenty of time to complete them.

Amazing teacher, she is very sweet and nice. Took her online speech in mini may only had to do 5 video responses over a video we have to watch and then 2 speeches and the final . Answers emails very fast and will accommodate many things in order to help you

Dr. Anderson is a fantastic teacher; she is not strict and acknowledges we have lives out of school and makes an effort to accommodate us. Nevertheless, she does expect her students to take notes, participate, and make an equal effort. Her assignments are not challenging if you pay attention to the requirements and expectations.

The professor was great, gave us lots of chances to raise our grades. Do your work and try your best. The class was not hard at all.

Mrs. Anderson was one of the best teachers I've ever had. I had her online so it may be different in person but online all we had to do was do discussions, quizzes, and a couple of tests. She gave us plenty of time to do it, and everything was easy to complete. There is really nothing bad to say about her. Just go on ahead and sign up for her now.

This class and this professor are very easy! There are lots of discussions to participate in, but they are all easy and quite insightful. I took this as an 8 week online anytime course, so we had to record three speeches and submit them. Everything is done through canvas which makes it super convenient. It was easily manageable. 10/10 recommend!

One of the best professors I've taken. Her class doesn't even feel like actual lectures because most of the time her "lectures" are just class conversations. She grades fairly and is open to accommodations that work best for you...she truly cares about her students success. Willing to work with you in anything you need. Super sweet!!

Assignments are basically just quizzes that aren't lockdown browser with 3 attempts (10 questions) and video responses where we had to watch a video and detail 3 things about the speech which all are easy. There are also some speeches we have to do ourselves where you must record yourself and have an outline for, it was three in total.

Very light homework, quizzes 1-14 have unlimited attempts, online without LDB. She gave us three speeches in total and she has 4 assignments and a few discussions. May seem a lot but everything is spread out AND SUPER EASY!! She is the best, she is very kind and sweet and she will understand. She is very caring Take her without hesitation. I would.

What can I say. Easy teacher, easy grade. Unlimited attempts in assignments. Try your best in your speech. Final is 3 attempts, do your work (easy assignments btw) Took this class online and sign up before class gets full!!!

Very easy assignments. Completed 3 speeches, along with a jumble of open note quizzes and discussions. The only difficulty I had in this class was understanding assignments due to instructions not being clear enough and her canvas not being up to date or organized.

This professor is one of the best professors I have ever had in HCC. This professor takes care of you if you do the assignment on time, and if you miss the assignment, they give you a 1-week extension to finish your work. The lecture, the classroom activities, constant interaction of my classmates make me want to come to class every day.
