angie is cool. she's pretty laid back, and she helps you out if you don't get it. make sure you take her poster project seriously.

she is a very cool teacher. she makes the class enjoyable and slows down if you don't get it. when our whole class got a bad grade on the first test, she felt really bad and took it upon herself to help us get better scores. if you're gonna take psych, she's the teacher to start with, especially since 140 has no prerequisites. you learn alot, too.

She covers very little material in class compared to what she tests on. You have to read the textbook or you'll do poorly on every test. She is a very enjoyable teacher and lecture is usually interesting.

The material was clearly outlined so there were no surprises on tests. Ms. Bahner's teaching style is interactive and she realizes the limits to memorizing endless facts. The material is manageable. The grading is fair, even when in disagreement with the instructor's position. She will challenge beliefs in a respectful way.

She is a great teacher making her lectures interesting and fun. Not boring at all and really relates it to life so even if you are not looking forward to the class you will get something from it and it won't be too painful.

Her intersession class was very interesting, but not that easy. She grade with attendance, 7 quizes, in-class assignments, and final. If you attend every class, you are fine.

She gives study guides for every test, study those and you are golden. Show up to class, sometimes she gives extra credit for that. Very helpful, makes it interesting! TAKE HER!

Dr. Bahner provides an overwhelming amount of online material, BUT..it is all very useful for her test and online discussion boards. She is amazing and relates the science of the subjects to the real world through videos and websites. You have to read and participate, but she provides well explained chapter outlines and test reviews. Wonderful!

Great teacher when she showed up for class. There were alot of times when I would show up and there would be a cancelled class note. Tere are take home tests and she will help you with any questions.

Overall a very good teacher. However, the class was titled Adjustment and Personality, but we spent the entire class reading a book about how shopping and the government are destroying the world. All tests were take home, not the most effective way to learn.

Best Professor at Longview! Took her for a summer class, every test was take home open book straight from the book, its impossible to fail! she made each class interesting and worth coming too, I plan on taking the rest of my psych classes with her because she's that amazing!

Firstly, she dos not allow open book tests or quizzes. Do not be fooled by the earlier posts. Her test are detailed, reading essential. Not impressed by her at all, very unprofessional. Runs about 15 min behind on avg. never remembers what she taught previous class, and once failed to show up at all. Try someone else :o(

She can be frustrating during class discussions because she does most of the talking and cuts people off who don't agree with her. Also it is irritating that she uses so much profanity. It is distracting and makes her sound unintelligent and uneducated. Personal opinion aside, overall good teacher. Relatively easy to get an A in her class.

Dr.B is teacher. She doesn't teach for a living, but because it is her purpose, and she is fantastic at it! If you don't have the chance to take her class, at least spend a few minutes to talk with her. She's someone who earnestly cares about those she meets and You will leave each conversation having seen some topic with a different perspective.

Took 3 classes w/ her, most recently psychology of prejudice. I could say nice things about Bahner for days, she changed my life. After taking Psych. of prejudice I became a nicer person, and a more empathetic person. If I could take her for the rest of my college courses i would! Please, if you take her class LISTEN and LEARN- you wont regret it!!

Had Prof Bahner for Psych through Lifespan. Study the book for tests and you'll do fine. Almost all questions are pulled directly from the book. She bends over backwards to help out her students, just talk to her honestly. There are maybe 100 pts that can only be earned by attending class-assignments, xtra credit...I'd reccomend her to anyone.

Dr. Bahner is amazing! She speaks clearly and involves the class in discussion. I have learned so much in just the short time I have been class with her. you will leave her class with a heightened knowledge on any topic she discusses. If you don't, it's because you don't want to.

She is a great teacher. Attend class and take notes. Fill out the study guide after each class, and studying for the test will be much easier. Also fill out the study guide for the final after each test, because the final is comprehensive. You can definitely achieve an A. It's nice to have a teacher who is passionate, & wants you to get it too

Dr. Bahner is so awesome. I took her hybird class in spring of 2011. As long as u did ur weekly discussion blogs and took notes in class you could do well on the online exams. I read the each and every chapter and i have scored an A on every exam so far. Really cool. Would recommend her to everyone

Dr Bahner is great. Firm, but fair in her grading, she makes the subject interesting. Teaches exactly what you need to know for the test, unlike Westra who simply massages his ego on his soapbox. I look forward to taking more courses with her. As far as grading goes, you get what you work for. A's & B's are achievable if you study outside of class

I took this class online. I do not like the teacher, but the class was pretty easy. She is not the most helpful in my opinion, but she is pretty fair. I have heard ppl that take her in class like her more.

She's VERY interactive! She's strict and opinionated but very knowledgeable and can be fun to interact with. If you like the subject, she can make you like it even more. If you didn't like the subject, she might just change your mind. Try her if you're up for an interesting adventure.

She's great, very knowledgeable and is quick to grade your tests or quizzes and post them onto Blackboard. She tends to give assignments on random days just to make sure your going to class, so attendance is important. You get points for just showing up and putting your name on the paper. Oh and she's smoking hot.

I took this class online after giving birth 3 days prior. I had no idea what I was getting myself into with online classes. She was helpful when I didn't understand blackboard, she gave great feedback, fast at grading papers, and was overall a great teacher. I would take her class again.

I really enjoyed Dr. Bahner's PSYC 140 course. Everything she taught was clear, and helpful. We discussed topics in class, and she gave practice handouts to help us. She's really nice, but she does like to keep a professional air in the classroom. The text book isn't bad, so it would be wise to read it. Anyway, I reccomend Dr. Bahner completely!

Dr. Bahner is a very knowledgeable professor; however, she expects effort from her students. One shouldn't think one can't study, and do well. I recommend completing her study guides weeks before the test. They truly help in my opinion. For our class she gave out "freebies." It's a piece of paper that gives you credit for most assignments if absent

Bahner can be moody at times and definitely has a few students she clearly doesn't like. She is very smart and passionate about what she does. Keep your questions and comments on topic (that seemed to be the problem with students she didn't care for.) Tests are very detailed, but you can use a cheat sheet. I'd recommend her.

I took 140 and she was great in that class. She was very interactive with the class and blunt on what she thinks about things. But if you voiced a difference in opinion she was willing to listen and hear you out. Which is rare in teachers. Read. Take Notes and do the homework and you'll do fine. I LOVED her class, I took another one just for fun!

A tutor wouldn't help me because of my age (I was barely 16) and she defended me and was truly upset over the whole thing.

Dr. Bahner is a nice, friendly teacher. She knows what she's talking about obviously because she got her PhD in Psychology! The class itself is the usual lecture and it can be boring at times. The tests were somewhat difficult, we had a few journals, and a project. There's only 350 points total for this class so study and you'll pass!

Difficult class for me to get into at first, but after a couple of weeks, could pretty much do everything with my eyes closed. Content was easy, she explained it well enough to fill in the cracks, and gave you a lot of opportunities and materials for studying. Very intolerant of distractions and troublemakers.

I am SO thankful I chose this teacher for PSYCH 140. She was SO helpful and made the online classroom feel like a physical classroom setting. She is passionate about her field. It is not an easy class, due to the content. She will make you think. However, it is fun and very interesting. There are online homework assignments that will be quick if you read the textbook. Be sure to start your papers and projects early. If you study consistantly throughout, you will do well.

Favorite teacher by far! Tough class but if you pay attention and put effort in, there's no way you won't pass. The online assignments are easy, just make sure you read the textbook. And always do your reading notes! They are important.

It was online but her PowerPoint and handouts were very thorough. She communicated better than most and responded to questions quickly. If you put in the effort you will get a good grade. I'd take more of her classes in a heartbeat.

Really interesting class. She expects you to think critically and does not baby students at all. Online homework is due every week but is doable. Has one big project. No tests or quizzes just a midterm and final. Her lectures helped students understand anything that was not clear in the textbook.

My favorite professor so far. She is very organized and made the class interesting. Although attendance is important and you actually have to study, the way she arranges everything makes it easy and prepares you well. I liked her so much I'll be taking her again next semester! We have several papers but as long as you put in effort you'll be fine.

Professor Bahner is absolutely amazing. I had her for two different psyc classes. She is passionate about what she teaches and just about life in general. There were about 7 (1-2 pages) papers, but they were supper easy. She allowed us to make study guides and use them on the mid term and final. Do all the work and the project and you will pass.

Dr. Bahner was one of many solid professors I took at Longview and one of my personal favorite instructors. She has constructed a course that supports the students attempts at learning and does not punish failure. You must be willing to put in the work, but if you do your grade and understanding of the course will reflect that effort.

I am taking her class online and still get a sense of how amazing she is as a professor. She always provides great feedback, and you can tell she truly cares about relating her lessons with life. She is friendly with grading and wants you to succeed. Because of her I have truly fallen in love with psychology. You won't regret taking her class! :)

She reignited my passion for psychology and took the time out of her busy schedule to meet with me and discuss my anxieties about choosing a career path. Dr. Bahner cares about you getting a good grade. The course requires a lot of studying, but her lectures are topic related and helpful. She's respectful and considerate of feelings. Sometimes we discuss some heavy topics, but she's still very careful about what she says, focusing on research and offering no opinion of her own. Non biased and fair.

This is one of the easiest classes I've ever taken. Not only was it easy, but it was enjoyable. It's a very light class, but it does have a lot of reading. Other than that, no complaints.

Psychology 243 with Dr. Bahner was a very good experience. Dr. Bahner is passionate about psychology and teaching and makes lectures interesting. The class consisted of easy online quizzes, 7 short papers, an annotated bibliography, a presentation, a midterm, and a final. Tip: Stay on top/ahead of the assignments and the class will be fairly easy.

This was a great class with Dr. Bahner. I did not purchase the book, but i did get the ebook for Quizlets. Quizlets were due every sun night - very annoying but if you do the work and show up you'll pass her class. She gives study guide handouts and lets you use your own study guides on tests. She gives you a lot of opportunities to pass the course

I had Dr. Bahner for Lifespan Dev, Psych of Prejudice, and Gen Psych and she is my favorite professor of all time. She connects her lectures to the real world and as long as you give your best effort on all assignments you can get an A. She is passionate about psychology but also equality, and psych of prejudice will make you a better person!

Tough but very fair grader. She's very relatiable and pretty funny. You can tell that she really cares about her students. If you put in effort and do your work, she's pretty forgiving about stuff.

She is brilliant! I learned so much from her this semester! This class is lecture heavy and relies on Inquizitive as well, which you have to remember to do on your own BEFORE the due date comes and goes. There are only 2 tests. Make your study guide ahead of time and use it to study! You can use it for tests! Make sure you KNOW the material.

Very conflicted with Dr. Bahner, she's a very good professor but she can be rude. I never experienced this because I'd rather miss than be late to her class; she publicly humiliates anyone who walks in even a minute late. Only a midterm and a final for tests, they are difficult but she lets you use the study guide. Incredibly intelligent woman

Dr. B is truly great. She is caring, intelligent, and willing to work with students to keep them successful in the class. Her lectures are engaging and relatable, but be prepared to participate! There are a few short papers, a couple tests, and a lot of Inquizitive assignments. If you need psych - take her! I learned so much and was never bored.

Dr. Bahner is a good online professor. She can come off as a little condescending if you don't agree with her, but if you approach her and say it felt as such she's more than humble enough to work it out with you. Regardless of that, the class was straightforward and informative. Inquisitive is a bit redundant and expensive. Put in effort, get A.

Easy class if you put in the work to do well. Stay on top of your studying from the beginning (I made a quizlet and added to it after each lecture so I wouldn't have to rush at the end). Very inspiring and helpful, but she is sensitive to being asked the same question multiple times (especially if in the syllabus) so don't do that. Fun class.

The paper is a breeze in this class just put effort into your research. The final and midterm are kind of hard you actually have to know the materially and put into to senarios other than class is a breeze

Super awesome and funny professor. The textbook was free and given online. The only complaint I have is that the lectures are really fast paced and she gives a LOT of material in a very short amount of time, however, she does give you a study guide at the beginning of class that you get to use on the midterm and final exams.

I Mrs. Bahner's online course and really enjoyed it! Her expectations are clear and easy to understand. There are 2 short quizzes every week and two small reading assignments. This class is easy as long as you do the work! I highly recommend.

Had Dr. Bahner for a summer online class, its a heavy workload but it can be done with time management and planning. She is very nice and respectful, I enjoyed her class.

I took her summer 8 week class online and there was a lot of reading, lots of note taking and mini quizes over each chapter- usually about 5 chapters and 5 quizes each week. Exam every 2 weeks and two DB posts. Do the reading, study, give your best effort on DBs and you'll be fine.

Short weekly reading quizzes based on online textbook. Questions are taken directly from practice quizzes on online book. All exams are strongly rooted in questions from the study guide youre given access to through blackboard. If you pay attention and ask questions, you will do well.

I failed PSYC140 before with a different in-class instructor but found it 100x easier taking this course online with Bahner. Easy course work. Usually 2 RA's and 2 quizzes each week, four exams, and a couple discussion boards. I learned so much in this class! It helped with my Education coursework immensely.

I love Dr. Bahner! She's a very good teacher but can also be passive-aggressive at times which is intimidating. There's only two tests: midterm and final. The rest of your grade is attendance, RA's, and an essay which isn't really much. Just read the online textbook and take the quizzes and you will be perfectly fine!!!

I've had Dr. Bahner for Psych 140 and most recently for Psych 220. She is hands down the best instructor that I've had at MCC. She 's very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. She also cares about her students and wants them learn and succeed. She expects you to be on time for class and gives amazing lectures that relate. Read ahead and take good notes.

I had Angela Bahner as online and the class was amazingly easy honestly would love to take this professor again. Her classwork was so organized and only have like 2 easy reading assignments and a short 5 question quiz over the reading a week. honestly best class I have ever taken.

AWESOME!! Super easy class, with COVID she didnt require cameras on for zoom and sometimes cancelled zoom meetings if her students were mentally exhausted and always checked in on us. Quiz every week but always found quizlets for them. Deep dives are easy she exaggerates needing lots of time for it but I did mine the day of and got a 93%. Love her

I loved her!! she was super understanding with school online and gave us Friday as a "work day". Wasn't very hard and not a ton of work. Would take her again!

I overall really enjoyed her class! Shes very easy to talk to and seems to enjoy teaching. Shes definitely knowledgeable and cares about the well-being of her students. Weekly quizzes over reading, but theyre easy. No exams in my class (not true for all of her classes). Loved her!

Dr. Bahner is an excellent professor. She adjusts her teaching so that everyone understands the material. I have been wanting to take another class with her ever since. She loves her job and it shows through her work. We didn't have much homework. We had a midterm test and a final paper. She is the reason I declared a psychology major.

She genuinely cares about all of her students. Gives mental health breaks during lecture & asks about our lives. Each week we read 1-2 chapters & had a 5 question quiz on them due sunday. Other than that we had two moderately difficult "deep dives" and a final paper. She posts all materials, links, slides, etc. on BB for us. Can't recommend enough.

Dr. Bahner was by far my most favorite professor this semester and so was PYSC140! She so obviously cares for her students and is super understanding! She also really wants her students to do well in her class and in life. I totally recommend her!!

I took Bahner online, she was so kind and was very clear about how each week went, not a lot of work and plenty of time to complete. I had 2 short quizzes a week, and at the end of each section a writing assignment which was also pretty easy. She responds quickly and is aware and lenient.

Ms. Bahner is the sweetest person ever! She made the course super easy to understand and kept the work load light. She gave feedback super quick and is very understanding and genuinely cares about her students and their wellbeing. I wish i would have taken her in person. 11/10 recommended her! The book is provided free online so that's also nice.

Dr. Bahner was my favorite professor at MCC Longview. Her classes had me captivated by psychology and had me looking forward to each class period. As long as you come to each class and do all assigned homework you should be able to pass the exams and the class easily.

The work itself is manageable, lots of readings and quizzes for them but they're typically not hard. As a person, she's amazing I miss having her as a teacher lol.

Work is very manageable as long as you manage it correctly. Shes super nice & understanding and one of my favorite professors. Even if youre not majoring in psych she definitely explains it very well and her lectures are interesting.

Took 8 wk online class and course work was very manageable. Assignment's related to real life experiences so that makes them easier. She is a very understanding and down to earth instructor. Would 100% take her class again.

Took PSYCH140 as a summer online class. If you do the work and look at the textbook the class is not hard. Sometimes the material can be hard to understand but not bad. 6 assignments a week for an 8-week course. One final 3-page paper. She grades fast and most grades go in automatically. Also gives feedback.

If you're contemplating taking this course, do it! It is very easy yet extremely informative and she is a great and caring instructor.

This class is pretty easy, tests and quizzes are taken at home which was nice!

Professor Bahner makes this class super engaging. As long as you keep up with the manageable workload and utilize resources like the free textbook and study tools like Unstuck ai, you'll do great. Highly recommend taking her class.

Definitely very caring and informative. Probably one of the best teachers I've had as far as efficiency of teaching. She definitely knows what she's talking about and goes through the textbook well. There is a bit of homework but in my opinion it was interesting topics so it wasn't too rough to get done. Learned a lot and would take again.

Best professor ever!!! Very easy grader and is very flexible if you miss an assignment. She realizes we are human beings with emotions. She is very caring and passionate about the material. There are no tests, just a few writing assignments and essays. Also, a PSA presentation for the final. If you do the work, its an easy A.

I really enjoyed Dr. Bahner's class and as long as you read the textbook you'll do good. She is really easy to communicate with and is really caring for everyone in her class. I would definitely take her class again!

Dr. B is amazing I took Psychology 140 over the summer. Syllabus is very helpful, and she gives great feedback. You just have to make sure you do all the readings and assignments, and you'll definitely pass.
