Dr. Belden is really funny and everyone loves her. She is one of those fun teachers who actually teaches you. If she taught any other Psych classes i would totally take them.

Dr. Belden is honestly a great professor. Anyone who says otherwise was just lazy. She has office hours everyday, and does review sessions often. If you call her she will meet you even on a sunday. She answers emails the same day. You also get to you a sheet with formulas on it for the tests. Tests are on 2 chapters at a time. Great class, just try

This was my 3rd attempt at a stats class. She's the clearest most helpful teacher with the most guidance and ways to earn points. She understands the difficulty level and is there whenever you need. "Lab" days before each test to review are so great, & u get points for going. I'm not the best test taker so it was great that there were other outlets

Dr B is the smartest person ever! She is so clear with her lectures and gives the best retrieval cues ever. Just make sure to take notes of everything she says because she is a "walking study guide" lol SO UNDERSTANDING & NICE TAKE HER!

Professor Belden is one of the best i had last semester. Although her jokes sometimes run into the gutter her lecturing is great! I was always interested during her hour and half lectures, and as a result they seemed like 20 minutes. Shes very good at breaking down complex data and spoon feeding it. All her exams are straightforward!

She is very funny and very sweet! In order to succeed in her class you must attend every class meeting!! She explains very well.. never read the book, although you do need the book to do hw which is part of grade. Didn't study the day before tests and got an A. study her review sheets and you'll pass the class with a breeze! :)

I had so much funsies in this class! She's chill and pretty funny. There isn't a lot of homework, but her tests can seem kind of tricky sometimes. What really helped me pass the tests the most were her study guides though. Unless you want the Cohen's D. She repeats information, too so it's really helpful. You can use any stats book for this class.

She is now one of my favorite professor at pierce! Her class was easy if you come to every class and take notes well! Didn't buy the book and didn't need it at all. She covers everything in her lectures. Her lectures taught me a lot and she was a very awesome professor!

Dr. B. has a great personality which definitely makes the class more interesting. That being said, you CANNOT skate through this class as her exams can be tough, usually about half our class would use the full duration of time allowed. Don't be afraid to go to office hours, sometimes she can be a little unclear but she has no problem clarifying.

Ms. Belden was a really funny and clear teacher for psychology 101. She didn't really take attendance and made it up to the students to thrive in her class. She mainly just gives hilarious lectures about what will be on the test, and the grade is heavily determined by your exam scores and how much work you do on a website she gives to the class.

Highly unorganized professor! Funny & intelligent. Rushed through the last 5 chapters. Lecture notes are all you need for the exams. Frustrating when you can't write fast enough meaning you might not have enough time to write down vital info. Info needed for review. The textbook has a study guide for $30 I recommend using. Don't need textbook.

Dr. B was amazing. She talks kind of fast, so I recorded all the lectures in the event I missed anything. She answers questions and is very patient. She assigns papers but is more than happy to review them and help you get the best possible grade. She is a hilarious woman and I truly enjoyed being her student and learning as much as I did.

Dr. Belden is a great professor that really helps keep psychology very entertaining and interesting. To pass her class with an A you have to be prepared to take serious notes and study them as that's pretty much all you need to know for the test.

I was a little hesitant since it's a stats class, but she is an amazing professor. I'm usually one of the people who enjoys solving math questions, but she made this so much more interesting because she has a great sense of humor. there are 4 tests, 1 final(replaces the lowest grade)gives study guides. Attendance is not mandatory but 4 ur own good

Awesome teacher. Looked forward to come to class, she is hilarious, expect to laugh! She's not so book focused, she actually does not focus on the book at all. It's all lecture. If you take good notes you will have the info for the exam. And Exams are somewhat easy. She gives a few extra credit opportunities as well.

Took her for Winter Semester, psychology. It's easy to see that she loves her job which is a huge plus. Kind of sad I only got a month in this class! Love her stories about her kids. Dr B is an amazing professor! She literally breaks down all the information in a way that's easy to comprehend plus she's HILARIOUS. Attendance is a must, doing the homework is a must because it totally reinforces lecture. As for lab, don't pretend to be doing stats, actually do them to help prepare for exams! Dr B is really good about helping!!

Hilarious professor. But honestly she's THE WORST TEST GIVER EVER. She doesn't do PowerPoint. The hw problems doesn't really help you with the test. The multiple choice questions are a killer. Stats is a very hard to subject to understand and she makes it even more hard with the multiple choice questions specially the true and false.

I learned an incredible amount of useful information from Dr. B this semester. Psych 74 is a difficult class and expect to work a lot. I don't recommend taking this class unless you are genuinely interested in Psychology research. She is there during office hours and helps her students, but you have to work hard in this class.

Great Class. Her lectures are pretty funny and realistic making the material much easier to digest. If you go to class and take her notes, you should get an A. There are 4 exams including final (lowest grade dropped and replaced by final grade), so that helps a lot. There is one writing assignment (or 2) depending on what you select.

She is a good and fun professor, however her class is super hard. STATS is not easy and if you are just taking it just because, think twice on that. You cannot miss class, not even the 5 minutes of the class because you will miss a lot. She's also a tough grader, which means she will not round up a grade for you, even if it is a 69.9%.

Prof B is hilarious!! Took her for Developmental Psych and learned an awesome amount. Book is not necessary. Just show up and write down everything she says which is very simple. Tests are literally based off her notes so take good notes and go to class. Never bored in her lectures because the class itself is super interesting and she is a blast.

Like all of the other reviews you'll read, stats is HARD. Belden makes it a lil easier with funny lectures and anecdotes but the course is very fast paced and it could be difficult to keep up. Attendance is not mandatory but miss a day of class and you might as well drop it...

Dr.B is really funny and sweet and assures students that if they pass her course, then they will be prepared for the next level. If you don't need stats for your major, I would not suggest this class because you need to put a lot of time and effort into it. I personally was never the best in math but I managed a good grade in her class.

I was terrified when i signed up for STATS01 as a winter class. Dr. B was awesome!! Im so glad i took the class and had Dr. B there, to explain the world of statistics. Im not the best in math and was so sick during this winter session, but i managed a "B". Give her and the material dedicated time, and you will do great!

Only thing is she does teach some solving techniques different from the book. She makes Stats relatable and realistic. If you're struggling DO NOT HESITATE going to office hours. She does a really god job of explaining things in different ways to help you understand without making you feel stupid.

Seriously I can not recommend this professor enough! I am not comfortable with math and I passed this class with 97% purely from my work. She is so great at teaching this subject. She is accessible & genuinely cares. She is just wonderful! I feel so spoiled from taking her class. Whatever class you need to take, if she teaches it, take it from her!

I took her class at night and it was such a blast! I always found myself intrigued to learn the material that she taught during her extremely hilarious lectures. I never used my textbooks, rather, I took a lot notes. She emphasized the important things by repeating them, so really pay attention to that! BE READY TO PAY FOR ACCESS TO HW.

Professor Belden is by far the best professor I have ever taken. I have taken her for 3 courses( psych 1, psych 41, and stats 1) and have received As in all classes. She challenges you without over whelming you. Her test are easy if you study and her lectures are VERY straight forward. No quizzes, no difficult essays or stressful homework.

I took Dr. Belden for Human Sexuality and she was really knowledgeable about everything and made the class fun and hilarious. We weren't able to get to the last chapter for the final but the class is very interactive with everyone asking questions so we ran out of time. She does lag on getting grades back but it's 3 tests and a paper/presentation.

Dr.B is one of the most caring professors out there. The subject matter is hard, so it's not the easiest A but if you put in the work you'll be fine. She tries really hard to make sure everyone is understand and is always down to re-explain things if you don't. Really approachable and kind! But NOT an easy A. Go to office hrs!!

Dr. Belden conducts amazing lectures. None of her lectures are ever boring because she has an example for every concept. She can make the super complicated things easy to understand. There are two papers based on interview/observation, and they're pretty easy and realistic. If you attend regularly, it won't be hard to get an A.

She would probably be the best online professor you would ever take. Her course was well organized. 3 exams and one final exam. If you do the homeworks and study them you would do good.

In her class as long as you keep trying to work hard, you will pass her class. I took her PSYCH 001 online class and while it was fast paced and had lengthy homework, I was able to turn my grade around and get a B in the class after some bad test grades. I really appreciate Dr. Belden's communication with me as she let me know what I can do and what was possible at that point in the class. She was very supportive! Thank you

Likes to tell stories that relate to lectures, make sure you take down the notes and as another reviewer stated, She emphasized the important things by repeating them. make sure to highlight the repeated things, but do not skip over what she does not repeat, as I've found those appear on the tests as well.

She has funny stories that go along with the lecture to make it easy to remember. Straight to the point. Makes sure everyone is getting the important parts of the lecture written down.

Professor Belden is awesome!!! Took her online class during the winter session and she really cares about her student. She is firm on due dates and gives extra credit . Her class is very organize. There are three exams and one final along with weekly homework. Do all the work and read the chapters , you will do well. Her study guides are great.

Took this class during the summer, I really enjoyed the discussions. Book & homework were all on the internet using TopHat which was awesome. Exams were difficult for me but I feel if I had taken the class during a regular semester such as Spring or Fall it would have been manageable. Learn to memorize because it is closed book/notes. Extra credit

I was pleasantly surprise to see how much Dr. Belden cares about her students. Her syllabus is very clear on dates and what's expected. As long as you follow the syllabus, you'll be fine. I took her a online summer class, there was a lot of reading involved but I'm so glad I took it. I totally recommend taking her class.

5-week online course STRESS. It was a lot to process in a short period of time. We used proctorio, it's a system that records you while you take quizzes and tophat to read/answer HW questions on the chapters. You just have to keep up with the reading and deadlines. Take notes and STUDY to memorize for the quiz-closed book. Takes a lot of effort.

Stats is HARD. Bottom line. Dr. Belden is hilarious and makes this class less stressful. Her lectures aren't boring. this woman is a total gem! since going remote i was super nervous about this course, i almost dropped but im glad i didnt. she really puts effort in her labs and you can re watch the labs which helps soooooo much! stats is not an easy class but Dr.B made it really enjoyable. i would definitely take another one of her classes again

Dr. B's STAT 101 class was the best math class I've ever taken. She makes the material clear and understandable and is always available to help. She clearly cares about her students and shows that she wants to make their lives easy. If you need an easy math class, take this one for sure!

Professor Belden this class will be the most important class you take. The class had our showcase online, and was important to speak on the topic. 2 mins rehearse it before, and make sure that you have research experience. If not, make sure that you are self taught learner, and there is so many components to this class.

This professor was amazing by far. She was there anytime I needed her and also did amazing zoom study sessions and broke down the definitions to where anyone could understand. This class does require a lot of studying and you do have to work for your grade but the professor does everything possible to make sure you succeed.

I love Dr. B. Study, she is supper fun and caring . Study like its a science test and review the kahoots because a lot of those questions will be on the exam. Only thing I could say about her is she does not provide a study guide nor many practice problems. I suggest you meet with the free tutors.

Dr. B is amazing. Her class is one of the few math classes I will leave with a positive experience. She really cares about her students. If you want a good grade, you have to keep up with the lectures. When studying for the exams, make sure you do the additional problems more than the textbook problems because she mirrors them off of those.

Professor Belden is super sweet. Although her psych 1 class is lecture heavy she keeps them upbeat and interesting. There are quizzes within the lectures but you can take them as many times as you want. I liked this class and learned so much about psychology

I took her online 8 week class and it took a lot of note taking. Most of her lectures are lengthy and I suggest you take a lot of notes. We had a textbook but most of the time I studied the lectures since most questions on the exams are based on it. She curves tests which was a life saver. There were 4 exams. Use the study guides.

Online 8-week course. Easy A. The homeworks were a few easy discussion posts and the program she used for the lectures had the homework within them. Take this course. Great professor, sense of humor.

pre-recorded lectures have embedded quiz questions which you get unlimited number of trials. If you read the textbook and follow through the lectures, you will be okay with exams. She's easy on grading, responds very fast to e-mails. Over all, fairly easy yet very informative course to take! Highly recommend!

SHE WAS AMAZING! I was always a C average math student but she really helped everyone and even I got a decent grade for this class. Her notes are very useful, and she tries to give out as many points as possible to help our grade. She does give out homework but she does not deduct points if you get questions wrong. The homework IS NOT hard!

Loved Dr. B! I was scared of math, but her online lectures guide you through each step of the problem, and allows an unlimited number of attempts on lecture questions. Gives full-credit to late work if submitted within the unit, and is always accessible after class. Make sure to study the lectures though. Very funny and laid-back! Would recommend!

Professor Belden goes above and beyond for all her students. She will make appointments outside office hours and works with students until they completely understand the material. I recommend her!

Dr. Belden is so great! Her workload is manageable, just a lot of reading. Tests weren't too difficult but studying was a key to getting a good grade on the tests. Since this is a research methods class, the only assignment you work on throughout the entire semester is your research paper. She really made this project a lot easier and goes through it with you step by step if you don't understand. She is truly a great professor and I would definitely take her again.

Professor Belden's PSYCH001 class is manageable with her engaging lectures and helpful study tools like Unstuck study. The exams are open-note, and she curves the grades - a great combo for an informative yet enjoyable course.

Professor Belden is such a good teacher. I took her 5-week winter course and it wasn't as bad as I thought is was gonna be. She has her lectures record and provides fill-in-the-blank notes. Lectures can range from 20min to 1hr and there are about 4 lectures a week for the 5-week period. There were 4 exams that were POCR. Grades easy too.

What a great teacher! Stat101 was such a tough and hard class but she wants all of us to succeed and to understand the material. Yes a lot of homework and tests but she makes the material easy to understand and helped me throughout the class. Truly amazing!!
