I love Dr. Blewitt. She is probably one of the best English Comp professors you could get at Valencia. She is a very warm and friendly person. You can tell she is actually passionate about what she teaches. You do have to do the reading and the essays to pass the class, but what else do you expect? Great teacher, I would reccomend.

This professor assigns a lot of reading, and there are many essays. Her lectures are interesting, and the group work and activities are fun. The essays were hard for me, but Dr. Blewitt gave me good feedback to improve my grades and be a better writer. I recommend this professor if you want to really learn. I had a great experience in Professor Blewitts comp 2 class. She does a very good job at elucidating all of her assignments and she allows you to revise your papers. She doesn't give out too much homework but she does give a lot of pop quizzes so make sure your reading those passages. P.S. She has a thing for poetry so be prepared for that.

She was by far one of the most fun English teacher I have ever had, she actually tells you what you did wrong on your paper and how exactly to correct it, yes the readings were a little dense but she explains everything in subpar detail. It's kinda bummy that she will be moving to West campus, I reccommned her highly she is beyond awesome.

We had a reading quiz almost every single class. Dr. Blewitt wants to make sure we do the reading. There were several in class essays and then several out of class essays, including a large research paper. This class is alot of work. Great teacher, though. She is caring and actually TEACHES. Dr. Blewitt is the most genuine professor I ever had. Assigns pages to read from 75 reading plus but tells you when you will have a test on what you've read. Essays are on interesting topics and offers extra credit for going to writing center and will proof read to give feedback. Always a fun class and really cares about her students passing.

I really enjoy taking Dr. Blewitt, I signed up for her comp 2 class just because she is so amazing. Her work is a lot but she is very helpful and goes out of her way for her students. A lot of essays in the class but it makes you a better writer. However, most of your grade is essays and final is an essay so don't mess that up.

Besides being a nice person she is objectively a very good professor. She is clear and concise and all of her lectures tie into the main premise of the class. There is very little busy work/distraction work and the class is based on the main literary themes put forth.

I love Dr B! She's has a big heart and always is open to talk about anything! We had quizzes after the reading assignment and sometimes we have group quizzes. The final was a simple essay. I would take her again any day!

One of the best teachers that have influenced my life I had her for two semesters and she didn't realize it but because of her I plan on sticking with college. Prof B. is so caring for her students, but her class is a lot of work. Many readings, homework assignments, and essays! Pretty tough grader but helps you on your essays. Does a lot of group stuff which isnt bad bc theyre fun! Does two debates, highlight of the semester. Will help u do a resume & cover letter, even write a letter of recommendation.

Dr. Blewitt is a caring professor. There are so many readings, online journals, and quizzes to make sure we're reading, but it is definitely a fun interactive class. She's hilarious and her lectures are thought provoking. We had to write seven essays for the class, but she gave great feedback on every essay, and the topics were interesting.

The class has six essays, but she gives great feedback on every one, so I actually improved in my writing and was able to earn an A. There was an online journal for each reading and pop quizzes in class, so you have to do the reading, but if you do the work, it's not hard to get an A or a B in her class. Great professor! TAKE HER! Comp 2 is a class with alot of reading. There's a journal to writefor everything we read, but they're interesting stories. Pop quizzes. You gotta do the work. Fun class though. Four papers. One is big research paper. One is smaller research paper with one of the short stories. Interesting topics! Would take class over and over if I could.

The best professor hands down. She is a constructive grader and helps improve your writing any chance she gets. She schedules meetings with students outside of class time to give you tips on your writing. I've never had a professor who cared as much as she does. I am currently enrolled in Dr. Blewitt's Freshman Comp class, and it is definitely the best class I have ever taken. She is engaged throughout the whole class, has in-depth lectures that are easy to understand, thoroughly explains the material and grading rubrics, and gives GREAT feedback! Very entertaining class, 1000% recommend.

Dr. Blewitt is absolutely astonishing. She has my utmost respect and love. This woman cares for her students as if we were related by blood, perhaps even more. I took this professor Fall 2019 COMP 1 class. As a professor, she is great. You will learn a lot. You might learn a lot from her class, but sometimes it is too much to control. There were like 5 or 6 big papers, 20 discussions, quizzes, class homework a lot. If you want to learn, take her. she grades paper so hard. she has extra credits.

I took professor Blewitt online for ENC 1102. I thoroughly enjoyed the assignments given and thought that they weren't too hard or too easy, just challenging enough for me to feel like I'm putting effort into the work.

I took her class fall of 2019 and the spring of 2020. I had thought I was good at writing until I had taken her class and it has helped me tremendously. I had recommended this professor to everyone I had ran into. Yes, she is a tough greater, but she prepares you for the future. She does not grade you to fail, she grades you to help you.

Professor Blewitt is probably an easier professor to take face to face. Her office hours are from 10am to 12pm, and she takes forever to both grade and answer emails. There are four essays, they are worth most of your grade. We have quizzes and writing assignments weekly as well. What I really like is her feedback. She really helps fix the mistakes

I took her for my first semester at Valencia and omg, I love her. The course is not THAT bad as long you do the assignments / assigned readings then you will be set for the class. One of the best teachers at Valencia. I took her when I was doing full time dual enrollment and she was the best for it being my first transition into a college environment. She's very funny and lets us know stuff about her life that are interesting. Gives great feedback on essays for you to succeed and has 1 on 1 conferences to help you.

She is a very hard grader and her class is not an easy A. The workload is heavy. If you want an easy class to pass her online class is not the one.

I took her for the summer 2021 term. I LOVED this class. there is quite a bit of work, but if you put in the effort, it's not that hard. If you like learning, then she's definitely for you. She is not an extremely hard grader. Due dates are Tuesdays and Fridays. She gives chances for resubmission before the due date as well. 9/10.
