Uses a lot of chemistry and microbiology, but good teacher.. Writes our notes for us and just reads them, but doesn't go into depth and examples, so it's hard to learn! BAD STUDY GUIDES. Has an accent and can be very occasionally hard to understand. VERY HARD GRADER IN LABS.

Dr. Elauria is a very good teacher. She is very organized with excellently prepared lectures. She is very knowledgable and seems very eager to have us undertand the material. She challenges us to think for ourself and outside the box. She has high expectations and requires a lot of work, which I believe is equivalent to a great professor!

Uses good examples and her interest in biology is contagious. If you take Bio 105, DON'T BUY THE BOOK! Everything on her tests is straight from the notes she hands out or writes on the board

In a nutshell, the class was deceptively easy. She lectures entirely from her own notes and the tests are mostly multiple choice. Her accent makes her hilarious, but hard to understand sometimes. She is a fair teacher and will reward you for your efforts or vice versa. I recommend her. Be prepared to study, even if you think you know it all.

She is a delightful woman. Bio 260 starts out interesting, and she embellishes it with stories/tips of her own that help you to remember information. The last 3 weeks it got pretty boring and dry, and the Final covers a large alot of info. Class was moderately difficult...put in real effort and you'll be fine. Average exam grade was around 74%.

She's a really good teacher. The only problems I have with her is that her accent is sometimes a little hard to understand since she's fillipino and that at times she's a hard grader, but that's mostly with the labs. Overall, I would recommend that you take her classes if you want to be a biology major, but not just for fun.

I highly would recommend to either go to the Poulsbo campus or another college to take this micro class. If you have any Services for learning she makes you feel stupid and will not help. Has old material and stats. Do not approach, just email. VERY tough grader. Take this class only, nothing else. Don't even have a life if you HAVE to take her.

This was a really hard class. It involved a lot of studying and a lot of time outside of class to put in the hours. I personally enjoyed professor Elauria, she told really funny stories and I thought her tests were fair. She gives you the study material in advance and you have plenty of time to study. You just have to put in the hours!

Dr. Elauria gives you everything you need to be successful in class. You don't need the book at all. If you attend class, take notes (some are preprinted by her and given as handouts), and be engaged during lecture, this class is easy. There are times where she can be hard to understand due to her accent, but she is willing to repeat herself.

Angela is a really great professor who is obviously very interested in biology. She gives great lectures and actually gives out "handy-dandy notebooks" (the notes for the lecture) so that you don't have to take them. She acknowledges that everyone learns in different ways and tries to account for that. Labs are fun and interactive.

But as the quarter went on I really enjoyed her teaching style and the way she runs her class. She does give out notes on everything you need to know and reviews them in class. Really enjoyed her.

Grades insanely hard, like my lab partner and I, (who do our labs together) will have different grades. Her grading criteria for labs was never clear. Her tests were only about 60% of content we covered in class. The way she would teach was very closed minded. As someone who took AP bio in high school I assumed this would be an easy A. She grades harder on explanations and details than her students understanding of general concepts.

Dr. Elauria is probably one of the worst professors I have ever had the pleasure of learning under. Her grading policy is "regurgitate my words exactly or you're wrong". Not even a Majors Bio course, but still the most difficult class I've taken. Many failed tests and labs. At one point, I got marked down and got an F on a lab because I write in all caps, and even though I wrote the first letters in scientific names larger as clear capitals, she marked it down. If her exact words aren't used, you are marked down.

Despite what people may say, she is a good teacher, I learned a lot from her and if you study for the exams, they are easy. Labs are fun, there are two lab reports. Her grading for post labs and lab reports is a bit frustrating because there is no rubric and she takes some random points off, as long as you put as much as you can, you will be fine.

Dr. Elauria was incredibly hard to follow and learn from since most of what she taught was not related to what was on the test. She brags about how the average is 70%.
