Hard Grader! Cute, sometimes silly, fun class though. I hate to admit but I notice random things more after we talk about it in class.

She's hard but she give second chances. If you don't understand, she'll explain until you do but you have to ask. She doesn't like general answers--be specific and you'll do fine.

Take the class if you have a knack for "dissecting" lyrics, artwork, and essays. It's an interesting class if you enjoy reading further into ideas and stereotypes, but I don't reccomend taking the class if you don't enjoy in-depth analysis of me

I really enjoyed her class, though at times I wondered what in the world her class discussions had to do with English. She is very helpful, but sometimes very unorganized. If you participate in class discussions a lot you will get good grades.

She's a great teacher. She'll help you whenever you need her. All you have to do is meet her requirements to your best ability and you'll do fine. You may not learn a lot, but you will improve if it's necessary and the topics can be very interesting.

SHE IS AWESOME! she makes you do really well in the class- she is always there to help after class- meet with her before you turn in your paper! it always helps.

My favorite teacher at AU. While not always sticking to the syllabus, she picks what is most interesting. She has fascinating theories on feminism...ask her..youll talk abou it for the rest of class instead of doing work!

shes a really good teacher, the material you study in here isnt your typical english class. which is why i enjoyed it so much! if you want to take a english class thats very different with a feminist/gender specific twist, this is it. Overall shes a good teacher for this class. I recommend her.

Mrs.Farmer's class is great and there is no reason to be scared of this class. She is a deep feminist and helps you view the world in a different way. It's really easy to enjoy the class the days that you're actually in here b/c she cancels it all the time! Go to English Center for help with pape

She is a very interesting teacher, but she grades harshly. She gives low grades without really explaining what was wrong with the paper. Her grading is based on her opinions. I even go help from the english center and it didnt help my grade.

Mrs.Farmer is great.Her essay topics a fun and there are only three and they dont have to be long. You have plenty of chances to do well in the class with the one page reveiws you write. The course content is interesting and fun. She also has some great stories! Mid-Term-a breeze Final-Not too bad!

i had her for world lit 2 and loved her. i came out of WL1 and was not looking forward to the next one but she made it very enjoyable. she is a very interesting person and i really recommend taking her!!

Angela is the****! She was probably the coolest professor I have ever had. She will work you to the bone, but her class is very rewarding. If youre looking for an awesome english class with lively debate and interesting assignments, take her class. Rock on AF!

Ms. Farmer is a decent teacher. SHe grade very tough, and she is willing to help you on your papers. If you want to work for an A take her class. If you arn't willing to work...don't even try. However, in the end, she does want you to do well in the class...

Grades fairly and accurately. Her goal is to improve your writing and thinking skills and she does exactly that. Her class is no breeze, but she is very helpful in and outdside of class. If you want to learn something definately get her.

mrs. farmer is extremely funny and very helpful! go to class and do the assignments and it is very likely that you'll get an A! she also allows students to re-do their papers to improve their grades ;)

Ms. Farmer is a huge feminist. She likes big words in her papers... invest in a thesaurus. If you have any problems, go to her office! she likes to have a personal relationship with each student. She has a funny sense of humor and makes her class interesting. She loves to show pictures of naked people. If you disagree w/ her, share your opinion.

Without a doubt the best english teacher I have had at any level.

Best teacher ever! Mrs. Farmer really has a talent for teaching. She makes the class fun and interesting. Just go to class, speak out,and do the assignments and you'll end up with a good grade (at least a B). She likes to cancel class also. I would take any class with her in a heartbeat!!

Some of these ratings say "tell her what she wants to hear." Well, what she wants to hear is that you are thinking for yourself. Some people can't handle it and would rather be spoonfed. Grow up.

I had her this summer for mini-semester. She's awesome. Just go to class, participate, and think before you write your CR's and you'll get an A (but then again...if you do the work in any class you should get and A). She's fair when grading and a hoot in class! Take her!!

I love Ms. Farmer! She is an amazing teacher and so much fun to be around!! I recommend taking her!!

when the semester started i thought this class was going to kill me. now i think ive figured it out and its not so bad i can get a b and will walk away having learned something useful

Ms. Farmer is hard but she's fair. She sets aside whole days to review and clarify all assignments. If you think she hasn't explained things enough it's probably because you werent listening.

if i had posted this before finals i would have made a negative post the class was hard i thought she was TOO hard now Im in 1120 and im more prepared than others in the end i got a B in her class (when i admit i should have gotten a C) tho i thought i hated it at the time in the long run this class taught me what i needed

Mrs. Farmer Rocks! She makes you think and holds you to doing your best, but that is what college is all about. If that isn't okay with you then you shouldn't be attending a facility of higher learning. In her Lit class you get to read alot of fun and interesting stuff and the "lectures" are always fun informative, interactive and interesting.

At first I felt there was too much work for her class but after all is said and done she made this class somewhat enjoyable and I attended much more than I thought I would. Since everyone must take this class I would recommend Mrs. Farmer.

if you are lazy don't take the class. you WILL work. but its fun assignments and shes funny in class so you wont hate it. since the course is required, you might as well have fun in it. and i did learn some stuff too.

very fun, open minded teacher. likes to try new things. make some effort to communicate with her, and you definitely need to read the texts on your own (most were actually pretty good reads). high recommendation.

K so thanks to comments before this one, I walked into this class TERRIFIED. Participation is a HUGE thing to her, which also TERRIFIED me. But I've ended up enjoying the class...and participating.. Gives lots of detailed quizzes, no big papers, several short ones that are very important though!

You need to wait the entire semester before passing judgment. She seems to be too demanding in the beginning, but ends up teaching alot more about the texts then my friends teachers. I got more out of this class than anyone I know.

She is one of my favorite teachers! You really have to get to know her, but she's absolutely hilarious and really down-to-earth. As an English major, it was so nice to have some fun reads in World Lit instead of having to stick to things like The Iliad - not that those aren't good, but her reads are just fun. Take her. You'll have a blast!

I loved Dr. Farmer! When I first got in her class I was worried about not doing good because I thought that I was prepared for her, but she was very helpful if you actually WANTED or NEEDED the help. She was what a college teacher should be like...."the help is there if you are ready to work for it!"

Great teacher! You will for sure put some hard work into this class, but well worth it and you will come away glad you took her!

She is a very nice person...a little odd but very nice. You must go to her class, because she takes ten percent off of your final grade for one unexcused absence. She can also get a little confusing on her instructions, but if you do the work, you will get the grade :)

Great teacher!! We did get a little side-tracked in class, but she loves to hear everyone's opinions on subjects. She is a tough grader when it comes to papers, but if you do the daily work you can easily make up for it! I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND DR. FARMER, but be ready to work!

Ignore the negative comments about Dr. Farmer. She is a fair grader and likes for everyone to participate in the class. You'll get more out of it from the participation. Just follow the rubric for her assignments and she will give you the good grade you deserve. You'll have to work in this class, but its college, that's the point. Solid teacher

A great teacher! She requires participation in the class which is very easy to get those points if you talk once a week. Read all of the assignments, you can even get an A by reading sparknotes. Just be just to understand the jist of the material and you will get an A. I would take her again if I needed another world lit class. TAKE HER!

Great teacher! You have to read the books and talk in class to receive points everyday, but she keeps you interested in the books! The books we had to read were not that bad either, great choices! I would recommend you take her class! But like it was said before, just be ready to work! Also a very fair grader and you can go to her if you need help!

Dr. Farmer may not be the easiest english professor, but she's not as bad as a lot of people make her out to be. I got a C on 3/4 of my papers and still made an A. If you do all your work, show up EVERY class, and participate in class you'll be able to make the grade you want. She always offers help, but in the end it's up to you if you take it.

Dr. Farmer is a wonderful professor. She keeps class SO INTERESTING. She made me love English and I really am not an english buff at all. She is ridiculously helpful in office hours for papers and projects, and she basically lets you choose what you write about. She is not an easy grader, but if you put effort into it, she'll love you. Loved her.

Dr. Farmer is great! She's a little strange in some aspects but her class discussion is always fun. She can be very opinionated about writing but that is easily avoidable if you talk to her about what you're trying to say. Very flexible and class is not difficult. One of my favorites! Only grades were 5 essays and a few smaller papers

dO THE READINGS, TALK IN CLASSYOU'LL HAVE NO PROBLEMS

Class time is almost entirely spent discussing assigned readings. If you're not willing to do the readings, you might as well take another class. Farmer is helpful if asked but she is very opinionated. Class was interesting and more than the typical boring readings were offered.

Dr. Farmer was a pretty cool professor. The class was American Literature II and it was focused on the horror genre. The two paper topics were pretty easy and she left room for creativity. The final was kind of difficult but as long as you read everything, you should be fine. Lots of reading but it's all pretty short. Good class, overall.
