Scrazy and wears strange clothes, the only thing you will enjoy is making fun of her clothes. Don't let her catch you with your phone on
she explains things very well, but she is intimidating.if you know how to use a TI-83 you will pass her all her test.don't be afraid to ask her questions.
She is a wonderful teacher. I had her for College Algebra and Calculus. She is a little anal about phones, but she explains things really well. She gives practice tests that are the same type as the exam so studying is easy.
Okay her clothes are very entertaining, poor dear. Other than that she's a good teacher, if you go to her for help she will do just that. Highly recommend!
Her clothes are def crazy. She is helpful but I didn't think she was the best teacher. She goes over the material way too fast for me.
I had Professor Grant for Trigonometry. She definitely has no sense of fashion, but she does in the area of math. She's a smart teacher, but if you're not already good in math, don't take her, because she goes so quickly!
I had Ms. Grant for an ONLINE Elementary Calculus class..yow! She was helpful and understanding along with the tutors. USE THE MATH TUTORS..they are your best friends!
Make sure you bring your student ID to class for all tests if you don't she won't let you take the test.
Gives multiple choice exams but don't be fooled, the exams are still challenging with tricky answers. She teaches a bit fast but she still manages to explain things well, she uses the TI-83 calculator a lot.

she is a huge ****. she isnt too hard though.
she is ok. the class is hard but she does give good practice tests although sometimes not at all like the real test.
I have taken Ms. Grant for every math class required for the sciences. She is awesome! I wish she taught physics. She follows the syllabus to a tee and treats you like an adult. Her lectures follow the text and tests, which equal less study time if you go to class everyday. Highly recommended!
I liked the class, because I looked forward to seeing her outfit! She dresses really crazy. Ms. Grant also is the rudest wannabe young woman I've ever met. Her class is interesting, although she does not care if you learn the material or not. The homework= stressful. It is alot and takes a long time
Insults students. Doesn't seem to care about the students in her class, unless they are geniuses. Has a horrible sense of style.
Ms.Grant where to begin? She knows the material but does not care for the student. Has no personality and if you have a question, you will only get an answer from her once. Your best bet is to ask a classmate unless you want to be made a fool. This is coming from someone who is really good at math....
Grant is awesome. I have had her for college algebra and calculus. Her tests are just like her notes. She takes a grade on your notebook, easy A. She is helpful if you go to her office, but not so much in class. Crazy outfits, you'll get a laugh!
She does try to dress young. But she gives way too much homework, she freakin gives tests that have nothing to do with the homework. She told us on te 1st day that half of us would not pass. Teaches very rapidly, she is a good teacher though, she just gives too much homework and doesn't spend enough time on the harder material.

a hard course for anyone to teach
AWESOME! Best teacher at UofM...I recommend her to everyone and I only take my math classes from her. She is VERY helpful and will go the extra mile for you. I Highly recommend this professor.
Grant is an okay teacher. The course is pretty easy, you can learn a lot from the homework.
She takes attendance and is kinda crazy but explains things well. There is typically one homework assignment per week online but they help a lot if you do them. She gives a practice test out to study by before each test and then changes the numbers and shortens the length before the test. I would definitely recommend her!
Dr. Grant is an awesome teacher. Calc is hard class for anyone.. She give all effort to make sure you pass the class. Grades homework but that should be an easy A. I reccommend taking calc from her. She is willing to help after class if available.
Be prepared to be extremely bored in class. she is very very rude, dont ask questions in class. She gives reviews that are almost like test,so if you study those, you are good to go. also gives way to much homework for a college class. i would not take Grant again.
Professor Grant is great! She goes pretty fast, but she will stop if you need help and she gives lots of examples which is always cool. I would recommend her to anyone.
Not too easy, not too hard. She says half of the class won't pass but that only applies if you don't show up. Go over practice problems before exams! Expect a C.
Very boring class. Moves very fast. ALOT of homework every week. If you do not catch on fast, do not take this class from her because you will be lost the entire semester. I would not take her again.
She doesn't explain things well it is up to you to understand what she teaches because she WILL NOT help you
tough tests, good teacher
shes very rude. shes mean. u'll be fine if u pay attention and do the annoying homeworks online. test are kinda hard.
Her tests are not easy, but you can get extra credits. Also have a presentation which will pull your grade up. If you are not absent more than 2 times a semester, you can get 10 points.
if you want to learn calculus, take this class, and youll still struggle for a C. There is homework every week, and you have to buy the internet MathLab. If you want an A take Nikifirov.
I am very good at math... i barely pulled a B. She gives you practice test which help during the semester, but her final what nasty. I went into the final with an A, but the final pulled me down to a B. I would not recommend her to my worst enemy. Did not use the book...dont buy it. All you need is the mathlab which has access to the online book.
Dr. Grant is a relatively easy teacher. She does assign homework and requires that you follow her specific, sometimes unnecessary, steps to solve a problem for full credit. The majority of each test is multiple choice questions. She does give out a helpful practice test prior to each test. English is her first language!!
I've always liked Math so I didn't really have a problem with this class. I took her for 1710 and 1830. If you ask her questions she will make you feel kind of dumb. Did not even open book for 1710 or 1830! You have to have the online thing to do your homework though -- which is really helpful! For 1830, I had an 89.4 -- She gave me an A-.
She is a hard but fair professor. I received a B in the class and really worked hard for it. I learned so much with her though. I would recommend her if you want to learn the material.
She is a very hard teacher but calculus is a hard class. She is particular about how you work out your problems but I enjoyed her. If you want to learn the material then I would take her.
She is a very rude teacher avoid taking her if possible. She goes over work very fast and doesnt show any concern if you can keep up. To pass this class you must really put alot of effort in on your own time because you will be lost following her instructions unless you got a B+ or A in college algebra.
very hard. i am not what you would call a great math student. just taking calculus as a requrement. I go to class pay attention and still end up frustrated. she does example problems, very quickly, and doesn't explain them twice. dont take this unless you are a good math student
Dr. Grant believes nobody should pass her class. In fact, most people fail.
Sbe is the devil.... very hard. Does not seem to care wether you pass the class or not. Not a nice person at all. Expects you to know everything and if you dont then she thinks your an idiot. DO NOT take her !!!!!!
Her examples given on the board and the study guides resemble nothing that she puts on the test. Honestly do not take her.
dont listen to these people, they are just giving bad rep because they suck at school....Dr. Grant, even though she can be rude at times, is actually a very good teacher....take notes, keep up with your homework, and study and you should make a decent grade just like me
Dr. Grant is a great math teacher. If you are not a slacker and can put up with a little attitude then take her. she only has an attitude because of the people that don't work hard. do not need book.
She is a great teacher. She's not hard it's just the material that's sort of difficult. Her examples do reflect the test and she gives practice tests which are exactly like her actual tests, but yea she seems a little mean at times but she's a wonderful teacher!
Terrible teacher. Doesn't answer questions in class. Goes entirely too fast. She's great at math but she expects her students to be on her level. She will not slow down and has a terrible attitude. Even went as far as to call our class idiots. DO NOT TAKE unless you have excellent math skills and enjoy rude teachers.
Dr. Grant was an okay teacher. The class to me was very easy because I had already taken calculus. However, she does go over what is going to be on the test and 85% of what is on the studyguide is on the test. If you are not good at math at all, don't take her.
Do not take unless you are prepared for an online course. Rushes through material and is very rude. Definitely an attendance Nazi. Tests are filled with curve-balls that no one's ever seen. If you skip one step while showing your work, you may fail.
She was a nightmare! She graded incredibly harsh.
Is very rude and very hard. Forget asking a question. Do not take.
ASK a question in class and she might make fun of you. The grading is beyond unreasonable and attentance is mandatory. No need for a book because its a online class. She has a horrible personaliy but will show you ways you use a calculator . She is also good with the study guides reflecting the actual test... AVOID!!!
I took her for Calculus. It was 100% online course. I wouldn't have had a problem with this, except that she rushes through the material so quickly it's impossible to keep up. She doesn't care about her students, and holds crazy expectations. IF you get stuck with her, do all the CW's and Reviews and you should pass the class.
I was fortunate enough to get her in a Math Lab class. The setup made it easy, otherwise I probbably would've struggled. She's very boring and isn't a great teacher. She's not awful or unfair, just really unexciting and mediocre. Take her if you don't have any better options.
Overall she's a decent prof, but a couple of beefs. One, she actually makes you turn in a binder full of your homework (what is this, middle school?), and she's oddly specific about how it is put together. Two, indefinite integrals, the hardest section, was 30% of a test that we took the day after she taught the section. Otherwise, she's okay.
She would be a good teacher if she took time to allow students to ask questions during lectures and go over more than one example. She teaches the first 20 mins of class then you finish the rest on the computer. Working on the computer seem easy, its trying to finish before class is over that is the hard part. I withdrew her class, but thats just me
I passed her class with a B.. I have no clue what the other raters are talking about... You have to be DEDICATED to pass this class.. Calculus is NOT easy but it was doable. If you take her, make sure it's the lab section. Do ALL of your CW's and Reviews. I don't see how people failed this class... but that's just me I guess. She was nice to me!
I thought Dr. Grant was an excellent instructor. Her lectures were very organized. A very nice bonus is you can actually read her hand writing as opposed to other professors who write poorly. I would take another mathematics class from her if I had the opportunity.
Dr. Grant is a fairly good teacher. Know your stuff before you enter her class. Go to class. You get bonus points for perfect attendence. All homework and tests are on My Math Lab. She does like "stupid" questions. If you ask to her to reexplain something she usually ignores you but other than that good teacher. Be ready to work and don't be late!!
She is a great teacher. She is very clear and spends a lot of time explaining. There isn't a lot of homework and there is a practice test that is exactly like the test that she goes over. Extra credit if you have perfect attendance. I would definitely take her again if I take another math.
Doctor grant is a good teacher. She goes fast, but you just have to work at your own pace on your own time. Make sure you do all the hw and all the labs and be ready for online tests. Managed to receive an A. Tests were moderately hard. DO THE PRE AND POST TESTS ON MY MATH LAB! They'll help a lot
Dr. Grant is a great teacher. She is also a NO-NONSENSE type of teacher. This means that she sets her expectations very high for you, she expects you to act like an adult. Be on time, leave your phone in your bag, be present EVERY class, and do your homework..and you will do fine. She is serious. This is college, don't expect her to hold your hand.
Mrs. Grant is nice teacher. Her tests are hard. the homework is online and attendance is required. 5 exams, including final exam and 12 homeworks.
Mrs. Grant is a really good teacher. She works hard to make sure each student understands every problem. She does not like late students and she will not allow you to have your phone our during class. She takes attendance everyday at the end of class so you have to stay the whole time. I would take her again!
Took for calc 2. She's mean! But... I hate calculus, and she was probably the only teacher I could have passed with. Tests online, can use notes on test, 0 on test for being late. Like I said, I couldn't have made it through Calc II without her. But she's mean. A rude little angel.
She is tough but very willing to work with you. She wants the class to do well and works hard to teach. I would recommend. Just be prepared to work a good deal.
The best professor ever. She has great penmanship which makes it easy to follow. She is clear and very detailed. She takes her time explaining every concept and encourages questions. She won teacher excellence and I see why. I definitely, highly recommend this professor. If she taught every class I needed, I'd take her.
If you pass all of her classwork, do homework when needed, quizze and do reviews for the test; you will pass. I already had Calculus in High school so it helped with background info about Calculus or Pre-Calc. All classwork, quizzes, test is online so I advice you take her. Expect to go to class every class days and DON'T BE LATE!
Okay. So you have Classwork every class meeting, you have to get at least a 50 percent, every question you miss after 50 percent multiply that by 3 and that's how many HW problems you have to do, which will make up your CW grade. tricky test, most of the time it's what you cover, but go over tough hw problems might be on test. All online.
Not great at teaching but the class is set up for your success. Everything is online. You can retake any failed quizzes. You get multiple attempts at test and quiz questions for partial credit. Homework is optional unless you fail a quiz or don't finish classwork. Her tests usually have freebies but they also usually have curve ball questions.
Very fast paced lectures. Doesn't stop often for questions or to clarify difficult point.
She doesn't want to help you at all. Bestablished thing I can say about her is her class is well laid out and her work is easy if you know what to do. I was in AP calculus in high school and even she made me mad!!!! She always starts answering question with "you should have learned this in high schoo." I never dared to ask her a question.
Do your homeworks early and you'll get good grades. Classworks, Quizzes, and Tests are straight from the homeworks. 30 minutes before class ends, you are asked to complete some online problems that's graded so be sure to study beforehand. DON'T be late on final exam day. Everything is online, do the works and you'll pass.
No Help what so ever. Good luck if you have her.
She is a mean, hateful teacher. Very unapproachable. I wouldn't even dare take a college algebra class with her.
She is not really good at explaining things.
no word to explain her...
She is rude to say the least. She grades very hard on her tests. She no longer use the onine assignments program so the only grades are the 4 tests and final. Good luck on those. She dont like going into debt when you ask further questions she will just say" well thats just algebra. "
As a teacher she is fine, however the grading format is horrendous. There are four tests and a final, hence there is no chance to learn which topics you're weak on beforehand. After the test the topic is not touched on until the final. This is a flawed system. Calculus is simple, but with this grading format it gives no time to PRACTICE weak areas.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS (although hard to because she teaches most of cal 1 & 2 classes). Grade consists of only 4 tests and a final. Material is not hard, but tests are nothing like review or material gone over. There is no hope for this class. A lot of people fail.
She is a strict but good teacher. Attendance is necessary to pass because the material is hard to understand if you don't attend lectures. Don't expect above a B in the class unless you have a good foundation for calculus or you are willing to put the time into the class.
The daily quizzes she gives will KILL your grade, especially if you dont get the concept immediately. A weekly quiz would be fine, but one every single day? Ridiculous.
Awful teacher. Does not explain concepts concretely. Avoid taking her
Dr. Grant is an amazing professor. If you don't care, your grade will show it. People who show up late will not get sympathy. She is easy to follow and understand, and asks if everyone understands. She always stays on track, and no time is ever wasted. You will definitely be forced to learn, because otherwise you will fail quick.
Great teacher, explains things well, but don't zone out for a second because you will be lost for the rest of the lecture. Each class ends with a two question quiz and if you even get one wrong you'll get a failing grade.
Had a hard time getting through the class and it was difficult to get help especially since she brushed it off as if I didn't matter. Very fast paced class and if you miss even a single day you will more than likely fail the tests. She does a good job teaching but good luck trying to get help from her.
Dr. Grant is a great teacher. Lectures are fast-paced and require your full attention, but just like almost every other thing in life, you will do well if you pay attention, put in the work, and show up. She explains everything clearly . There is a 2-question quiz at the end of every class and get ready to SHOW YOUR WORK ON THE TESTS!
She does not care about you unless you have an advanced understand of Calculus. Does not give extra credit does not curve does not help students who are struggling.
Moves quickly through the material. If you don't show up you won't pass. Do the homework and you should understand the material.
The lectures aren't that interesting, but overall this is a good class. You can use your notes on all the tests, but the tests are difficult. There are 2 exams, 2-30 minutes presentations, and homework checks randomly. As long as you do what you're supposed to and study a little, you can pass this class.
She is wonderful at teaching the material, giving us every single edge we can, i.e. teaching us the easy calculator solution before the full algebraic solution. But the content is still quite hard. She puts on a very hostile attitude. Visit her office hours and you will see that she is quite nice, just stern. Quizes every class period, lots of HW.
(Calc 3)Disliked her at first; she seemed rude and demanding. Then I realized she cares about students a LOT and wants you to learn. Love the structure of her class; interactive, perfect pace. You get to make a formula sheet for all your tests. Lots of homework but it helps a ton. Sometimes questionable personality but absolutely wonderful teacher.
Angela Grant is the White Witch of this University. She demeans and belittles students whenever the chance arises to the point of telling one student that had a cough that she would him "take a cough drop or stop interrupting." As if a student is going to spend the entirety of a two-hour class holding in a cough. I got an A, no thanks to Mrs. Grant
Professor shows up to class with incredibly bad attitude most days. She makes no attempt to explain the underlying concept of what you are doing, but instead just gives you the rules and leaves it at that. She is dismissive of questions and the quality of her lecture is heavily dependent on the mood she happens to be in. Overall horribly rude
Had an online class and the syllabus was never uploaded to ECourseware. The first day came and the time rolled around for class, when I checked my email I had received nothing. Started texting my classmates(their were 5 of us) and same for them. No response from her when we emailed except that she had sent it and we had a quiz. We all dropped.
She doesn't like her dual enrollment students. She's terrible. She gave us a quiz but wouldn't respond to our emails to get into the class. I wouldn't recommend her at all.
She is not for the thin skinned. She screams at you during white board drills and revealed someones disability in the middle of a friends class. Overall cruel and does not can about your personal matters. She teaches well but once online hit she tanked hard. No more lectures. That was the only thing saving her classes.
She's the meanest teacher I've had. BUT, she's a good & engaging lecturer. She also split our 2hr class into 1hr lecture, 1hr working problems, which was awesome. If you have thick skin and aren't online, I recommend her. Good math profs are hard to come by, so I generally tell people it's worth it as long as they know what they're getting into.
I personally appreciated Dr. Grant's style of teaching. Her homework is very hard, but her exams are reasonable and accurately access how well you have retained and understand the information. Attending lectures are crucial to getting the majority of the crucial material.
Our class was fully online and at first she didnt seem to have the hang of it but she ended up finding a better teaching method. Be prepared for a lot of quizzes. This midterms and final are comprehensive
I took her online class, and I enjoyed it. I'm not sure if attendance is mandatory due to me being online. The test that are given can really help or hurt you. She gives a lot of questions for homework, and it normally doesn't open until Tuesday or Wednesday. I would recommend her online class if you are good at math and can learn from a powerpoint
Dr. Grant is no pushover by any means and you have to work to pass in this class. However, she is extremely structured which can't be said about every professor. If you are already strong at math, I'd highly recommend Dr. Grant as her class is very easy to follow. Her lectures are solid and she posts them all online, but she can be intimidating.
During a global pandemic, the last person you'd want as an instructor is an Germaphobic/Hypochondriac math instructor with hostile tendencies towards students.
Unfair and unkind expects too much and doesnt review anything very old and mean lady
The class is challenging, but lectures are structured in a way that if you come to class on time every time, take notes, and review the material, you will pass. There are quizzes after every lecture, a lab once a week, and tests every few weeks.
She is very condescending and when you ask her a question she says something along the lines of "you should know that" instead of helping you.
She did seem like a strict professor, but in all honesty, she just wants us to do better in the course and pass. This was not an easy course, so study- a lot, take notes, and put in the work. Overall, the class was organized and structured so that you could follow what was going on and be ready for the material. If you have a chance, take her.
I almost failed Calculus 1. Dr. Grant made it so easy to understand Cal 2. Show up to class and take notes. You can use notes on the quizzes and you get a cheat sheet for each test. Honestly, If you want to understand the math you're learning, take her.
Condescending and mean. Would absolutely not recommend taking especially for gen ed classes. She has understanding for students who struggle with math.
don't take this class I'm writing this and I'm angry because shes not even understanding.
The class is well structured. You'll always know what to expect and how you'll be graded. Although, she is a very rude person who has no sympathy for anyone. She's not open to any redo's or extra credit. For webassign tests, there is no partial credit for wrong answers, so be careful. Partial credit is available for the weekend quizzes though.
Horrible professor!!!!! Stay away!! Extremely unprofessional and unethical has basically accused everyone in the class of cheating and yells during exams via team meetings and fails anyone she feels like just for fun nit to mention she will blackmail and make fake allegations just because she in bitter and bored with her like. STAY AWAY!!!
if you want to fail then she is ready for you
