HORRIBLE!

this teacher never showed up to class! she never talked about psy! her test were so hard. notting that she takled about or nothing that we readed about was on the test. dont take her

She is a genius in her field but as far as the teaching aspect of it, she expects you to have the same intelect in her field as she does. She is very rude and abrupt. She does offer a lot of extra credit but you do need it because her tests are very hard. Mt recomendation would be to go with a different professor.

La Sala seems to have a problem staying on task and has a problem with clarity and gets confused between her classes.

gosh!!! class is hard so you have to try hard. lectures that are hard to follow wasn't in the book. if you are patient enough to do the xtr credit go for her. class is fun, so get ready.

Teacher was always late and had different excuses each time. Very hard to follow what she is saying and she has boring lectures.

bought an expensive book that i only opened like 2 or 3 times. her lectures are based on her work book. she also showed some videos. always looked high and acted high. wasted my time. dont! stay away from her.

Honesyli I love pyschology and was excited for this class. This lady is horrible in every way, all she does is yell for everything and try to make people feel stupid. I just finished her abnormal psych course and i have to say she is really bad. She always seems pissed off, her tests make no sense. There is no way to really study for her tests because she gives way too many notes.And she never specifys what is on the test, Her lectures don't go anywhere cause she always goes off topic,i'll be lucky if I pass.

If you want to acutally learn, don't take her. She skips around too much, doesn't use a book, doesn't use ANGEL does not return tests or go over answers, she is very clueless most of the time. Exams are easy because they are curved. She is frustrating and expects you to know where she is and will skip around without saying she switched pages.

absolute HORROR!! Makes you buy her handmade workbook WITH the text book. Some of the pages in the workbook have only a few words on it!! Total scam artist. Barely any assignments, but if you don't already know about psychology and actually want to LEARN, don't take her. She answers questions vaguely and will say "refer to syllabus" So unhelpful.

If you want someone who'll help you and answer questions, look elsewhere my friend. Takes her a week to answer emails. Everything is so unclear and assignments make no sense. Can't wait to finish this class.

She is literally THE WORST professor I've ever had. She may know her subject, but she's an awful teacher. Psychology is my major and I had the hardest time getting interested in what she had to say. Do yourself a favor and take a different professor.

This class is easy if your smart. If you were a C average student that lacks common sense you may struggle. Asking her questions is useless she will respond with "please refer to the syllabus". The book is useless if you are taking her online class. Take the practice exams and you will do just fine when it comes to taking the actual exams.

This class was awful. I am a psych major and I have never done so poorly in a psych class before. She is not clear with her notes, but asks very detailed test questions. Attendance is mandatory, but she's late to almost every class. Do not take this class if you want to learn anything, or you value your GPA.

I am currently taking her online PSY 101 class. She requires a photocopied, stapled work material for a fee. This material could had been provided for free as a pdf. The online course material she provides are very limited. Her test includes materials not found in the required text, or any material she provided.

She is not at all clear about anything. She gets off subject to easily and if you ask her a question, she thinks you are rude and disrespecting her. You have to decipher her incomplete text book. She does not use any technology and she lectures the whole time. Do not take her she is not clear at all!

Tests are heavily weighted! Besides 3 tests and final you will have 6 assignments ranging from 20-50 points to pull your grade up. That's it!Tests worth 150 each, final is 250. Don't buy the book, you know where to find all the answers. Had to retake the class to get a better grade, because the tests will screw you over. Her workbook is a joke!

I was so looking forward to delving into this class being Psy is my major, I was disappointed. She is very confusing, doesn't like anyone asking her questions and comes off as unapproachable and anti social, which is odd being she is a Psychologist. Her test where confusing and some of the material she taught was off by the DSM IV standards.

Unfortunately, things started out poorly before class even started and only got worse. Her "book" is a photocopied packet of comic sans headings with no actual info in it. During class she skips around while only sometimes addressing the headings that will be on tests. She really does not care if students understand much less if they are engaged.

Avoid her if possible! Wish I would have read some of these comments before I enrolled in her class. Do not take her if you need any sort of special arrangement w/an assignment. Even if you are responsible enough to try and schedule it way ahead of time. She is very rude, condescending, and can't even give a straight answer, only smart remarks.

Dont take this class you will regret it! She isn't specific at all when it comes to assignments, also when you have a question on it don't bother asking she will only make a smart remark about it not even answering your question. Also do all the extra credit because the final exam is heavy weighted. If you fail you failed the class

She makes you feel stupid when you ask a question, as if you are a bother to her. Her "textbook" is a joke. She skips things on the test. She skips around and goes off topic. She is late and then lectures us on being on time. I wish I had never enrolled in her class and seen the reviews beforehand. Her class is purely pass or fail and most fail.

She throws workbook work at you with VERY vague instructions. Its teaching at all... I would not recommend

Don't take this professor!!! She is HORRIBLE. The worst I've literally ever had. I was on my phone in the hallway before class and she yelled out a snide remark about me being on my phone. She doesn't lecture, all she does is talk about her former students, and random ramblings about various topics. Oh, btw, she makes you BUY her lecture notes!!

I wish I would've looked at rate my professor before I picked this class. The professor talks about herself frequently and is always off topic. She does not explain what she is talking about and gets angry when you ask her to clarify. She skips through the workbook, you're lucky if you could keep up with her to get all of the definitions.

Coming from a student with a 3.8 GPA, I received a C in this class and found it to be very challenging, not because of the subject itself, but because of how she "taught" this class and her unclear instructions. There was not a traditional textbook, but a workbook that we used *sometimes* and then she gave unclear notes. Would not recommend!!!

Worst class I've ever taken online. Two "assignments" before exam 1, nothing due for 2 weeks- 2nd exam, then nothing again for 2 weeks and a 3rd exam? then suddenly 5 assignments all due in the last month of class? Complete mess, no flow of work to keep you engaged and learn anything. Grades extremely hard, was excited to take Psych, she ruined it.

I wish I looked her up on here before i started her class. Worse teacher ever. She gives unclear directions to her work, you get like few assignments and sometimes none at all before the chapter test. She is a very lazy grader and a very harsh one at it too for someone who takes their sweet time to grade. It's impossible to understand her.

First of all, this professor was the rudest and most unhelpful professor that I've ever had. She was very rude whenever you asked for a question and then made you feel stupid for even asking.

Id take anyone else. Youre on your own in this online class. Little to no involvement with students. Feedback on assignments/questions is either non existent or extremely limited. Assignments are vague and reply's received are rather short and in a condescending manner. The workbook only has 3 assignments that you can easily get from the library.

Online course, had us buy a texbook which I did not use once, had us buy 1in thick, comic sans, wOrKbOoK that she created and we only used TWO pages (would have been 3 but she forgot to include that page in the book and we ended up getting that single page as a PDF for free! out of the entire book. Extremely rude and does not teach anything

I never write reviews about about any professors, but this professor is the worst of the worst. She is only rude, but also means. She is very irresponsible and unprofessional. She doesnt teach you AT ALL. You just read the book and learn whatever you learn and do her exercises. Avoid at All COSTS! pls!

I didn't learn anything. Textbook is required which you rarely use. Her made up "workbook" required which is useless. You are on your own. All she did was post all the lectures. That's it. If you ask her about assignments, she's no help at all. She won't explain what you did wrong or sometimes not reply at all. Dont take her!!

Do not take her class PERIOD. You will have to take it again if you do.

Currently, I'm passing all my classes except hers. No study guides, directions or feedback. Im not learning anything from her class. You have to read 4 chapters and take 75 question exams in 80 min for all exams. You do the math its less than 2 minutes a question for a randomized PSYCHOLOGY test.

DON'T TAKE THIS PROFESSOR. I don't even know why she is still a teacher here at CSN. She doesn't teach ANYTHING. Her grading system sucks and makes no sense and she never interacts with students. When she does, she replies very rudely. All she does is post on canvas what chapters to read each week and posts a huge exam. Completely ZERO instruction.

Prof LaSala never interacts with her students and all of her 'instructions' are vague and hard to understand. Unfortunately, I didn't even know about RMP before it was too late, so if you see this page take everyone's advice and don't take her class. There's a good reason that most of the reviews on this page are 1 star and you don't wanna find out

Biggest regret was not reading the reviews on this one before joining the class. Failed me on the first quiz for not added her PhD on her name, even though it's not listed on the content provided by her. I realized real fast why she has a 2.3 rating here. Run for the hills.

Dr. La Sala will not communicate with students. Dont bother asking her questions about anything, she will not get back to you. If she does get back to you, she will not give any helpful feedback. The assignment instructions are very vague, the online textbook doesnt help with completing assignments, and she is incredibly rude. DO NOT TAKE HER

I had thought as a first year, she would be better. Ive at least emailed her 7+ times in the course asking for help/clarification, no reply. Instructions for her class are very unclear. Makes you spend over $100 for a textbook you dont even use for ANY assignments AND for her own workbook thats $22.50 just to use only 3 pages for the class.

Probably one of the worst professors I have ever had. She is very vague and condescending when she replies to emails - if she ever replies. Spent money on her workbook just to only use 3 pages. She is very unclear with what she wants from your work. I never scored perfect on any hw assignment. She marked me off points for being too specific. AVOID!

Not a teacher at all, there will be no interaction with her even when you do reach out, if she does respond you'll be lucky to get a 1 word reply. On multiple homework assignments I emailed her asking if I was submitting them and doing them right, she responded with "I'll check" I got no response until 4 days later I would get a 5/20 for no reason.

I took the 4-week online course. Understanding her instructions is near impossible. VERY RUDE. For someone who "won't acknowledge an email who consistently contains a lowercase i..", she can't even bother to correct her own grammar errors or even put a sentence together that makes sense.

Lord.. have mercy.

There are no words I can say that describer's how horrible and awful this professor is. She's really trying to make this course a living hell and make you drop out or fail as much as she can.

I'm not sure how she is still a professor. It took 12 emails for her to even look at my assignment when she just told me to look over it again, she does not give feedback as to why I would constantly get 0/20 for no reason at all, and you buy her workbook to only use 5 pages of it. I wish I would've looked at her rating before starting her class.

She doesn't care about her student, her web research assignment is hard to understand, I got 89% of this course but she won't give me B+, the way she grades student is very harsh and no plus or minus just straight straight A, B, C, D, or F grades, if you picked her class, wish you good luck!

Instructions are very unclear, you will have to buy additional workbook, written by her, just to get access to 5 assignments. Useless otherwise, just a set of keywords, poorly printed. She did reply to the emails, basically sending back to unclear instructions. So, you are on your own in this class.

Awful. She does not give clear instructions. She doesn't teach you anything. You need a text book and her worksheets that she gives you assignments from and then a grade. However does not at all take any time to explain the material or help by telling you why you got what you got wrong.

Professor La Sala was one of the first four professors I had at CSN and she was by far the worst. She does not give clear instructions whatsoever and completely expects you to figure out everything on your own. If you have questions about what you need to do, don't bother emailing her. If you struggle with school as is, stay away from this class.

Dr. La sala does not give good or clear instructions. She pretty much says look at your text book and does not help us on how she wants the assignment written down. No examples no response on emails. She is a Dr. In Psychology we are 101 not 202 and no guidance. I really wanted this class and my peers have other instructors that are so helpful. CR

The assignments given were very difficult to understand and once I thought I new what the assignment entailed, and did all the work I was still given a terrible grade. The comments given were rude and it was like this teacher did not care at all. I would never take this course again with this teacher.

This class was so frustrating. The instructions for assignments were minimal and confusing. Feedback is vague and unhelpful. I can respect a harsh grader as long as expectations are made clear and the instructor values improvement. This was not the case, she reduced my grade for no reason and expects you to read her mind.

One of the hardest professors I've ever had to deal with. She never answered my questions and essentially told me to figure it out myself. She is picky and unclear when she grades. I lost a couple points on every assignment for things she didn't clarify. The material was interesting but she made it difficult to actually be interested in the topic.

She is not clear with her directions on assignments, her feedback is not helpful nor does she help you understand the material. On all assignments, I have lost points because she didn't state clear instructions or it wasn't the way she wanted. She could at least give one example on the assignment. I would not recommend taking her class.

I took this class in my junior year of high school and was so confused with everything. Her grading was so unclear.

I found it very difficult the whole semester to do any of the assignments correctly for her liking and she does not help when you reach out.

I wish I could go back in time to save myself the trouble of taking this class. She never answers questions or helps you in any way. This professor is horrible. I have yet to learn a single thing. Her directions/assignments are extremely unclear. Every time I have emailed her with questions I am only told to re read the directions. Other times my emails are completely ignored. Her PowerPoints are useless and she puts zero effort into them. I absolutely do NOT recommend her.

I wouldn't take her class again and wish I had made a different choice, honestly. I hate to say that but she was not helpful at all, her instructions are not clear at all, doesn't make sense, and her grading criteria is always different. Do not take this professors class ever! She is unhelpful, her lectures give little to no information, and she takes points off of everything if it's not formatted to her liking, yet she never gives examples on how the assignment should look. Stay Away, Tells you the most vague instructions and expects you to be able to do the work with little to no instruction. Does not grade fully, I had to email her a few times about questionable grades and very misleading instructions. The crazy part is she wrote the textbook and than says the instructions were wrong, but she wrote the textbook.

I'm sure this professor is knowledgeable in her field, she could improve significantly in communication and student support. Throughout the course, assignment expectations were unclear, and feedback was minimal or lacking. When issues arose, there was little effort to explain what was done incorrectly or how to improve it.

If you can AVOID this teacher at all cost! UNHELPFUL, TOUGH Grader, UNCLEAR about given INFORMATION and I swear she forgets/ doesn't read what's on her OWN textbook/workbooks don't expect her to hold out a hand when you need things justified too. Not worth the stress!! Make sure to do a full research on the teachers you pick.

Nonclear grading criteria, no lectures no teaching mandatory 30$ printed out paper that could've been free.

Honestly one of the hardest classes I have ever taken. Her directions on assignments are so unclear you never know what she wants or what she is asking for. She also makes you buy a book so you can do the assignments mandatory for her class. The only thing that saved me was that I could pull my weight on the tests.

This Professor would not answer your emails and she is very very very picky when it comes to her standards and if you make one mistake she will deduct half of your points on one assignment overall this professor should not be teaching and is not very helpful also DO NOT PICK THIS PROFESSOR AT ALL VERY PICKY AT EVERY ASSIGNMENT

I personally would NOT recommend choosing her as your professor. Def avoid if you can. She is a tough grader, will take points off your assignment and not tell you why. She says in her syllabus that if you have questions about anything that you can email her/leave comments, she doesn't answer.Tells you to use proper spelling and spacing,she doesn't

I thought I was exaggerating about this professor. Then I read the negative reviews, and I finally felt heard. Avoid this professor if you can. She doesn't teach you anything, or help you with anything. You will literally never receive a perfect score in this class, as she always deducts points and fails to give you a reason, even if you ask.

She is passive aggressive and I do not find her helpful. I feel that she does not try and teach anything but rather brings a pessimistic energy to something I have been excited to learn about. Complete let down. Disappointed that I pay money for this class.

Very barebones instructions are provided on all assignments, with no lectures. Her instructions and feedback on assignments come across as condescending. Provides no outlines or examples for assignments, then gives 50% score because it wasn't formatted how she wanted it. You are basically expected to teach yourself from the textbook
