Shouldnt be teaching

Do not waste your time and money taking her class. About 50% of my classmated dropped her class. The avarage grade was below 60% and she did not care. She expresses a negative attitude toward students and she does not grade fairly. Your hard work and your perfect attendance will bot be appreciated.

probably the worst class i've ever taken. i had to teach myself all the material because she never attempted to teach us anything. i guess thats why she taught online and blended classes. shes extremely lazy and her tests are very difficult.

This professor was hands down the worst professor I ever had. She not only rushes through the chapters, but is very impatient if you ask any questions. I never had a teacher assign so much work, let alone assign work that was time consuming and unnecessary, like threads on what we thought each week, and respond to at least three posts. DO NOT TAKE!

Avoid at all costs! You will have to teach yourself everything and get a tutor. She is no help and is condescending! Just drop it from the get go and find a real professor! Worst instructor ever!

She is the worst teacher ever!!!! When you ask her for help she will look at you like you are completely stupid! She is a useless and cannot teach!! She is by far the worst professor I have ever had. It is clear that she is just there for her paycheck. I feel that she lives for failing people. She will disregard an entire page of work if the format is slightly off. Don't confront her about it, she will laugh it off like she's the greatest thing since slice bread. Overall, horrible professor.

Quite possibly the worst instructor I have ever had. The tests and quizzes look nothing like she teaches in class. She is incredibly particular in her grading and missing a simple step costs you points. I would never take a class with her if you have an option, honestly I would rather drop out than have to deal with her again

She is the hardest grader I've ever had. If you care about your grades at all STAY AWAY! It's all riding on what I make on the final, which thankfully she doesn't get to grade. She is potentially going to cost me my transfer.

I don't like calculus and am not good at it but this professor makes it worse. I dropped the class along with 20 other people and it seems at times that she wants you to fail. After our first test she told the class our grades were disgraceful. I wasn't on her good or bad side and still did awful. I would take someone else.

thinks she is the smartest person ever and acts condescending constantly. gave my friend a zero on there quiz for not stapling it together. teaches her class in the hardest way and homework have nothing to do with material

Absolutely the worst professor I've ever encountered. First Q drop after making an A in precal the summer prior. Threatened to give the whole class a zero for not having HW stapled, WITHOUT A STAPLER IN THE CLASSROOM. Asks questions and WILL WAIT unreasonably long for a response. Consistently makes simple mistakes during lectures. Did not inspire.

Does not round your grade at all even if you have a 79.9999 she will not. Very hard headed. You better pay attention to lectures and due dates. Overall not good. STAY AWAY!

The most horrible professor I have ever had. I made a 96+ in every class but this one. My final grade was a 79.46 and she refused to round it up. AVOID. DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR.

She never taught the material. She expected us to read the book and then watch her tegrity videos where she would work out a few examples. It is very difficult to do good in a math class without someone teaching you.

Not enough room in this space to write about how terrible of a mistake taking Lawrenz's course is. Do not do it unless you have already taken calculus, are very good at it, and are very good at remembering every little detail you professor tells you. Over half of my class dropped the course. Quizzes often and very hard tests. Grades super tough.

There's basically no use for this professor to be teaching this class. She always has an extremely rude attitude towards students who ask for clarification. She's a tough grader who's too lazy to correct her own mistakes, so instead of giving points back she will argue her case which goes completely against the rules of calculus. She's simply awful

This professor is by far the rudest i have ever had. She gives horrible attitude when you ask for clarification, she acts like its such an inconvenience to HELP THE STUDENTS SHE IS BEING PAID OT TEACH. Even though she doesn't even teach us. She assigns work and uploads videos that don't even work. I would rate her a zero but its not allowed.

This prof is awful. I was coming from taking calculus to this class to fulfill a requirement and she was terrible. Not clear on criteria at all and grades poorly. I wouldnt wish anyone to take her just because she doesnt know what shes doing. The frustrating thing is that the content isnt hard at all but she makes it hard. DONT TAKE THIS PROF!!

Not very good at all, super picky grader. Lots of online math homework due the day before the test, quizzes due every week. Lectures are boring, only perk is she video records each lecture so if you do miss a class(try not to) you can catch up. Honestly, super rude and a tad crazy when grading.

Currently in her class and I have never had such a terrible professor. The layout of the class is awful. Some days you will have 2 homeworks and 2 quizzes due, or have 2 homeworks and 2 quizzes with things that have not been covered in class yet. I do pretty well in math but she makes it non-understandable. I will probably end up dropping. AVOID!!!

There are definitely better math teachers out there. I had to teach myself everything because she assumed you knew everything after her videos that she posted. I would try to avoid taking this teacher for any math class. If you have to take her, good luck.

I do not recommend this professor. I am really good at math and did not do well in her class. She expects you to know everything she's talking about and goes really fast through the lessons. Only positive thing is that she is very consistent with her assignments so its hard to miss one.

Very tough class, talks a million miles a minute, teaches you one thing, has another thing on online homework for you to know without being taught and you can expect to find it on the tests. A plus is she was very easy to get in contact with outside of class.

She just goes through notes and teaches the minimum in class. I had to rely on the mathlab to understand the class but then would bomb the test. Her grading system is intense and had As and Bs on everything except the stuff she individually graded. IF YOU NEED THIS CLASS TO TRANSFER OR ANYTHING DONT TAKE HER.

Mrs. Lawrenz was by far the worst teacher I've had in my life. She doesn't care about anyone but herself. She makes me sick. If i would've actually used this website before signing up for her class, I would've never taken a class of hers. All these ratings are very accurate. Please save yourself the money. I would give her a 0 if it let me.

Prof Lawrenz is the prof your highschool teachers warned you about. I took her class my first semester of college ever and hated every second of it. She was uppity and was offended if you didn't know ex: some trig stuff when she asked about it she would get upset and would respond with a "well you should learn this" and move on without teaching it.

Possibly one of the worst professors I have ever had. She does not care about the success of her students. She won't hesitate to give you a 0 on a take home quiz for the smallest reason. She is a tyrant that does not work with her students, but rather "these are my rules, like it or not" 65% of my class had to Q-drop, including me.

Please do not take this professor! I got tutoring from the college knowledge center towards the end and only passed because of them. She is the toughest grader and honestly does not care about her students. If you have to take her plan to get tutoring every week. Quizzes due every thursday. Pre-assignments right out of the book due every class.

worst professor ive ever had. we started with 30 students and before i dropped we were done to 9. on tests it doesnt even matter if you get the answer correct, she will count the whole thing wrong if you dont do it the way she wants. she doesnt care about her students at all and wont talk to you outside of class.

DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR UNLESS YOU ARE A MATH WIZ!!! If you have gotten an A on every math test you've taken ever, then you might be fine. If this is the first time you'll be learning Calculus 2 then absolutely do not take her. I actually got 0 on a quiz because I turned it in 2 minutes after class started, but she didn't even begin teaching yet

LISTEN TO THESE REVIEWS!!!! I have never had a professor care less about the success of her students as this professor. I submitted a quiz on time but because it was a word doc and not saved as a PDF she gave me a 0. She says if you show your work you will get credit but that isnt the case its either all or nothing. She is an AWFUL teacher.

She's the worst Math professor I have ever had. Doesn't even post lecture videos. She's lazy and does not care about her students. Avoid her. Don't take this class. Not even YouTube helped.

Expect to teach yourself; meaning understanding concepts, execution and comprehension of nomenclature. She's soft-hearted but fails to take on any teaching responsibility. Her "own work" is copy and paste from the textbook, limited to theories and definition. You're your own instructor. I'd think twice before paying for her class, it a heavy load.

She's bad. She does not care about her students. Is sometimes even rude. She posts no lecture videos and expects you to learn all from YouTube and the book. Does not give you enough time to complete exams. She only makes excuses why she doesn't teach and seems mad at the students and college. Very picky grader, right answer always loses points.

Do NOT take this class at Blinn! A ton of math professors quit and they have saddled the ones left with way too many courses. There are NO LECTURES, the exams are auto-graded and there is NO PARTIAL CREDIT. Dr. Lawrenz doesn't care if you pass or fail, she blames the Blinn administration. Lots of TAMU students failed/dropped. TAKE THIS AT TAMU!!

Absolutely the worst professor of my life. No feedback. Did not grade quizzes. Used other teachers lectures. Everyone in the class was failing and did not grade on a curve. Multiple people dropped the class. Never responded to emails.

She's the worst! more than half the class signed a letter to get her removed. Found out, last semester the students started a petition to remove her as well. No reviews, exams are a major part of the grade, lots of homework and weekly quizzes. TOUGH GRADER! Good luck on getting an email back or any grades back by the Q drop date. DO NOT TAKE HER!

Rating this professor a one is too generous. She gave so many quizzes and was very picky in the way she wanted things done. The thing is, however, she never taught us and relied on us to learn using outside videos. Just don't take her.

She is really nice person but she not a really good teacher. Shes willing to help if needed and her homeworks are a lot but easy. But then the quizzes are somewhat hard and then the test are like what the heck hard. I feel like it was like the rubric cube meme

Mrs. Lawrenz is a nice lady, but she does not teach very well. She is very fast and gives you little time to keep up. Sometimes she introduces her own things in the example problems which confuse you more. I failed 4 out of 5 exams and relied on the little extra credit she gave to barely pass. Don't recommend

Not a good teacher. Does not give practice problems. Homework’s do not prepare for tests at all.

I don't usually write reviews but I felt like I had to to warn other students. Mrs. Lawrenz is actually a nice teacher, but the class itself is near impossible to do well in. There are no tests reviews and I felt that the students were not prepared well to take the tests, the test averages could not of been much higher that a 40 on all the tests.

Professor Lawrenz is a nice person, but I would not recommend that anyone take this class with her. She teaches way too fast and doesn't go in depth with any of the problems. Every time I walked out of her class, I was extremely confused. Personally, I know 6 people who dropped this class. The highest grade on our first test was a 44.

I was forced to take this professor two semesters in a row because every other calculus class had already filled up, so I highly recommend you avoid taking this professor for three main reasons: 1. Quiz every class (mandatory). 2. Doesn't teach in-depth. 3. No lenience in grade distribution (other teachers have curves on tests).

Mrs. Lawrenz is a very nice lady, but as a teacher she is awful and not helpful. I took her Fall 21 1324 for 8wk and got a C. Next semester I signed up for a diff prof 16 wk and got switched to her last minute. Figured I could do better since it's 16 wk but she makes it impossible. 20 ppl dropped, highest test scores was a 40, do not take her.

I had her in 1324 and made a very high B and thought the class was pretty chill and not too hard. In 1325 I failed pretty much eveyrhing. The class is impossible and her teaching doesn't help at all. I'm talking sub-20's to mid-30's on tests. (and I was making high B's on my 1324 tests). If you take her in 1324, don't take her in 1325.

This class was an 8-week course and she gave tons of hw and for the test, no reviews and the hw was nothing like the tests at all and had these assignments that had nothing to do with the class that were pointless and when I emailed her she was very rude and never gave a clear response. Terrible communicator and never gave us weekly updates.

This class is a weed out class. I don't understand a reason to weed people out of Pre-Calculus, but with harsh grading it makes her good personality turn into bad. For example, she will take full credit off of your exam questions if you do not have a equal sign and little things of that nature. Avoid her at all costs.

Coming from a student who took precal in senior year she simply DOES NOT TEACH MATERIAL WELL. Her examples are difficult to follow and often end up confusing you more, and HER GRADING IS EXTREMELY HARSH. I read the reviews going into the class and thought eh it wont be that bad. Trust me, IT IS THAT BAD. DO. NOT. TAKE. ANGELA. LAWRENZ.

Lectures are so boring. Could get the right answer but won't receive credit if you forget an equal sign or don't format to her liking. Doesn't give reviews for tests which make up 40% of the grade. In-person tests are nothing like what you practice for hw, quizzes, or online tests in Pearson. You could have a 100% in Pearson and still make a C.

DO NOT TAKE HER. I would simply say it is one of the worst professor you could take during Freshman Year. She's the one of the awful math professor, takes off the point for the small things that she doesn't like the way we did to solve the problem, forcing us to use her way even though that makes no sense to students who already took calculus.

Try to avoid this professor if possible. Does not curve the grade on the tests no matter how low the average is. Does not give extra credit, and does not give out reviews to help for the tests. The tests are harshly graded, with her taking off several points for nit-picky details (such as not writing an equal sign, etc). Lecture is hard to follow.

Professor Lawrenz designed this course to make it almost impossible to make an A if you can't adapt. If you are a person who does math in an unorganized way, unless you learn fast, it will be IMPOSSIBLE to get an A in the course. Before you go into this course PLEASE go into the mindset to learn the material like you have never seen it before.

Harsh grader, confusing lectures, excessive homework. Spent almost all my free time on this class and struggled to make a C. Average on exams is pretty much always failing because she doesn't tolerate work that isn't done in her exact way. Do NOT take this class, she is by far and away the WORST professor I have EVER had.

For the sake of any first time students who need 1325...DO NOT TAKE HER. I took her class online, where there were 4 exams then the final. Sooo much homework each week, very harsh grader (In an online math class?!?!), and good luck trying to get an email back from her within a week. I made an A, but it took forever to understand her as a professor.

To preface, I don't leave scathing reviews as RMP is already polarized. She's worst math teacher ive had. Not only are all tests free response and no mcq, you have to learn how she wants every minute step to even dream of credit. The math department allows calculators for all assessments, including the final, while She prohibited it outright. AVOID

Get ready to relearn math in a way no one has ever seen before. She takes off partial points if you do not solve the problems EXACTLY as shown in class, with all theorems used listed. I did not have a choice, but if you do, opt for anyone else. 40% of the grade is in-class tests. Would rate a 0 if I could, don't let the positive reviews fool you.

Very nit-picky with grading, willing to take off points to the slightest difference in notation. There are group quizzes at the end of every class, but last 4 are dropped. If you don't have any other option, I'd advise to study the in class slides for the exam. LASTLY, all exams are free-response with one being replaced with the final. glhf.

I took this for a math credit and dropped it because of how difficult this professor was. She does not explain topics well at all. She has a terrible attitude and is hard to reach outside of class. Her lectures make no sense and there was an in class quiz every day. DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR!!!

She just does problems and expects you to understand how to do it just by watching her complete a single one. Her tests are always way harder than the homework so its hard to prepare. Do not take this class. Literally avoid at all cost. She was a very strict forward teacher and showed little compassion. I showed up for every lecture and her teaching style is one of the most difficult things to grasp. Gives no extra credit whatsoever for a very difficult math class.

DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR. Every lecture is very brisk and not easy to understand. She tries to be on a nice act but does not care about the well being of her students. Homeworks are NOTHING like the test ever. Even if you study for hours perpare for low grades.

Thought I was decent at math until I took this class. Online homework was easy to complete but did not help for the Tests and Final Exam as lecture teachings were completely different. I do not recommend taking this class if you prioritize your mental health and grades. Lots of work. BAD. DON'T TAKE.

If you don't drop the class you're genuinely gonna regret it for the rest of your college life if not your entire life. Without a doubt this class is gonna ruin ur chances for etam if you care about yourself and don't wanna study every single day for hours just to maybe have an A in the class. q drop even if it means taking a 7 am

Everyday I woke up. I wish I didn't. Get ready to work your butt off to fail the tests. Just make sure to go to office hours if you want to do good on the tests. AVOID IF POSSIBLE.
