She's a great teacher, she has her own way of teaching but she teaches very thoroughly and will help you if you need it! She is kind of a nerd/geek but shes adorable haha. it was fun taking her class. take it! warning: lots of homework.
Professor Leontas is a great. There is a lot of HW but it is worth it in the end show up takes notes and do the test reviews and you'll do fine in her class.
Great teacher! It was her first time teaching MATH-25 and most of her test were online and take home. No textbook required. All homework is online. She wants everyone to get a good grade and is very helpful. She even replaced your final with the lowest test score.
She's so nice, funny and really helpful!!! She knows what she's talking about and she really loves what she does. Her SI Melanie was very helpful as well. You don't need the textbook because MyMathlab is used. Take her!
She is wonderful teacher and she explain things good. Make a clear and takes notes and do the test reviews and you'll do fine in her class. I recommend her. It a excellent teacher if you will get grade A or B.
The only math teacher I've had that was enthusiastic. You can tell she LOVES what she does and truly wants you to pass. There is a lot of homework, but if you do the homework andattention in class you'll pass no problem. Show up and she will make it fairly easy. :) (I've always gotten D's in math before!)

LOVE her! Her teaching styles are great and will make sure you understand. Took her for fast track 25 & man was it stressful but I pulled through. She's sweet, understanding, and funny. Oh and attend SI! Melanie is awesome! It'll be super helpful. Good luck!
i stink at math i had to petition to get into to 410, but then i took her for 410 425 and 25. i understand math because of her. TAKE HER IF YOU WANT TO PASS
Professor Leontas provides students with NEGATIVE ENERGY. The content is good, but her NEGATIVE VIBE is draining.
Professor Leontas provides detailed explainations during class lectures. She also provides a NEGATIVE ENERGY, which all students/clients should be aware of.
This professor was not very good. She does not explain things very well and tends to spend a lot of time going over the same problem. Grading tests for her is like pulling teeth. It would take her weeks to return our tests which was bad considering I took her for fast track. Would not recommend.
I took her for math 25 Fast Track class. She is always late to class, and assigns A TON of homework that's all online. She takes FOREVER to grade tests. She moves at a very fast pace and the hw takes a while to do. She's nice and sometimes funny, but I would not recommend her to other students.
She was the first Math Professor I have ever taken in my College Career and in the beginning I had Mathphoebia, but she made that go away. She teaches Math as if shes teaching a class of Elementary students who are trying to learn College Algebra. She gives a lot of HW but its all for practice so you can understand the material. Will take again
She is such a nice professor and she explains and makes sure that we know what she's teaching us. Its not an easy class but she'll definitely help you out if you need it. You can tell she loves what shes doing and shes always smiling! Very good professor!
This Professor has no syllabus. First week already failing. Lectures fast does not stop. H.W due sundays. does not respond to emails and uses a leks, a program that is ridiculous. I have taken fast track before and have never been so stressed. she piles on the h.w just because she thinks its fun.
I took fast track class for math 410 and thought that she was an amazing professor, she definitely loves math and wants you to as well. I don't think the amount of homework is that much but if she didn't give it you wouldn't be able to practice. Tests are not that long around 15 questions and the final was on 24 questions.
Worked hard for my B. The professor tries to make it fun but the material is still hard so it takes lots of practice (HOMEWORK) to understand the concepts. Mrs. L. is always willing to help if you don't understand something. I would take her again. The way she teaches helps you remember stuff. I liked FastTrack but not every one does
This Professor has proven to be the most lazy person Iv'e met. She will not work a bit for her students. Always late to class and always does the opposite of what she says she will. Says she gives partial credit on exams but that is merely up to her mood and liking of you. Lecture are not helpful to what is assigned on Connect. how was she hired?
Let's see, Professor Leontas teaches certain parts of each section and then when you go to the H.W there are problems she didn't even touch on. I am so tired of the word "cute" Math is not our major lady! At the tutoring center some of the tutors were stumped by some questions. take at your own risk. oh, buy the book that you will never use!

Ms. Leontas is a passionate Math Professor that is rare to find. Her lectures are very informative and assigns HW to help cement your craft and techniques in Math that she teaches in the Lecture. Practice makes permanent. She teaches Math like if you're a child trying to understand the material. Just stay on top of your work and you will succeed!
Took her for Fast Track, although I was intimidated by the idea of a Fast Track class, I found myself loving it. Her lectures are easy and simple to understand. Just stay positive and motivated and determined to pass the class and pay extra attention in class and turn in every assignment she assigns and ask for help when needed and you're GOLDEN!
Excellent teacher that made taking and understanding math so much easier. She is very kind, patient, helpful and genuinely wants her students to succeed. Take her course!
I am just gonna be honest, she was late by 15-25 minutes probably 90 percents of the classes. on the first final, she was late 40 minutes, I should have just left, very unprofessional. I honestly hate math hw through the internet. I thought lectures were boring, but I have never had an interesting math class. do not recommend.
This teacher goes very slow so a 2 hours class, felt more like a 5 hour class. This professor is often very confusing and uses weird examples making it hard to understand the material. I would not recommend taking it.
After being absent for half of the semester (we were already used to the substitute) on maternity leave, she came back disheveled, and extremely late to every class. I am a 3.8 GPA student that has never received a C before,until now! I did EVERY assignment/homework. This was the worst class I have ever had. She needs to do something else.
She taught her class very well. Some information she wouldn't elaborate on. I think it is because I took her as a fast track class. The only thing that really bothered me with her was that she was always late to class. At least 15-20 mins every day and then she would try to keep you after class time was over
I really enjoyed her class, she does everything over the overhead projector so you get very detailed notes. She tells you if you are not fond of happy people you will not enjoy her class at the beginning. I liked the positive outlook on math. I feel prepared for my stats class.
The way she taught to me wasn't really great. She would be late sometimes. A lot of homework on webbassign be ready.
A patient and visual professor eho alwats has a great attitude. There is a lot of homework, but if you're not doing a lot of practice then you're not going to understand math anyway. Major extra credit opportunities are given too. However, she is late to class everyday and wants her students to stay a little late- the only negative.

This woman needs to get it together. She's consistently late to every class, even on exam days. 15-20 minutes late? It's so unprofessional. She does offer extra credit and there is a lot of homework. I like how she isn't one of those math professors who expect you to know everything and act like you're an idiot of you don't know something.
Professor Leontas is not well organized and her syllabus does not match the coursework. We used ALEKS,which was great. The textbook was online and you can work ahead, which is convenient. She was late posting exams, quizzes and exam reviews. She will help you resolve problems, even if it takes a few weeks. Nice personality.
Not organized, didn't teach more than 3 times the whole semester, expects us to learn from only watching random videos. If she at least did a lecture each week it would've not been an issue but she only communicated with us to say we have a test coming. Didn't learn anything and I really tried to catch up, but it's near impossible with her.
Doesnt teach, expects you to teach yourself with the Help Me Solve This Problem option on MathLab. Makes you work with a group the entire semester and that NEVER works well. Was inactive for like 3 weeks and I forgot the class even existed until we were hit by the final exam. Hasn't updated grades in 6 months until the final. She's nice I guess.
10/10 would NOT recommend, Professor Leontas does not seem to want to help you at all. When I asked for help I was told to basically ask anyone but her for help and to only see her if no one else can help. The class set up was as though you are to teach yourself with the help of your fellow classmates only, had to drop from the lack of instruction.
Not a teacher, Not a professor. There are no lectures thought by her, nothing, you teach yourself. No feedback, no communication from her, extremely frustrating. Unorganized & late posting assignments while requesting unreasonable last minute due dates from students.
she wasn't organized at all. I can say I took this class alone. No help, No videos of lectures and we are talking about a math class. Think about it twice.
Homework is a large part of your grade. Gives you sufficient time and unlimited attempts on homework problems. Quizzes and Exams were based off of homework questions. Video notes were helpful. It is independent work. She responded to text messages within a few hours if there was any issue.
This class does not prepare you for Calculus I! I had already taken pre-calc in high school but wanted a refresher and this class was not helpful at all. There are no lectures or coursework created by the professor and what really shocked me: there was no discussion of trigonometry! (Which was the one thing I really needed a refresher on!)
She is always late. I would ask her for help and she wouldn't help me. She would tell me to ask my classmates when they are are learning the same material as well. VERY DISORGANIZED, posted everything late. Literally posts everything the day before it is due.
She herself does little to no teaching at all and relies heavily on YouTube videos to teach her students. 2-4 hours of videos are assigned for students to watch every week and also have homework assignments with 40+ problems to complete. VERY homework and lecture heavy. If you take it as a fast track course, good luck.
Professor Leontas was a great and caring professor who always was nice to our class. She always helped when we needed it and was very flexible with assignments and tests. She is super nice and would recommend her for precalculus.
Forget the ratings this teacher is so EASYY. I never showed up to class didn't pay much attention to her lectures and even let us use a cheat sheet for the final which was a piece of cake. Math usually isn't my thing, but this class was a breeze. There was a lot of homework and worksheets but I recommend her. It was honestly the easiest class ever
Professor Leontas's class is easy but poorly structured. No homework or assignments for weeks, and she rarely responds to emails. Lectures are just YouTube videos and slides. If you have a good foundation in the subject, you'll manage fine, but don't expect much guidance or engagement.
Professor leontas is always late, if you take this class get ready to teach urself precalc because she wont do it. She is also incredibly irresponsible when it comes to grading and leaves it last minute.
The teacher is respected like how all 5 star teachers should be. She is very anxiety inducing sometimes because she leaves the group work to her students and there's already little structure to general group work, so it's barren and hard as it sounds. But still, she has advice that is good and examples can be applied to many math problems.
She lectures on every topic extensively. Gives lots of opportunities to work with peers to build understanding and support each other which is helpful. Content is mostly straightforward, but some topics get quite complicated. Shes overall nice and funny and a good instructor. A bit disorganized. Can take long to grade. Hardly takes attendance.
