Mrs.Lugo was my professor in RDG011. She was fair teacher. You just do the works she give you and do well on the vocab quizes and some reading tests then you are ready to go to ENG121. Even if you get grades under C in 4 department tests, she will balance with other grades and try to pass you. I recommend you to take her if you want to pass RDG011.

I took her for eng010 and the class was soooo easy. she is a very laid back person and is very flexible with here students. i'm taking her again for eng121 and is going great. As long as you email her there's no problem if u have to miss a couple of classes. easy professor!!!
She's an awesome teacher when I took her class at MCC. She's always willing to help to help and it was one of the easiest class to pass.

Angela is one of the best english teacher that you can have. She help students a lot and you can go to her office as many time as you please for help. I recommend her to anyone.

She is really nice, caring...i didnt pass her class but she put me in the safety net. i m very thankful to her, she is iverall good. if she think that u pass n dont pass her final for certain point she will give u another chance, by putting u in the safety net.
She is one of the best english teachers at Mcc. It is a tough class, but if you go to her for help you will have no problem passing. She is always willing to help, just ask her. Very sweet, understanding person with a great sense of humor. She makes class fun. I would reccomend her to anyone.
I try to miss at least 3 classes every semester, but Lugo class I only missed 1.. why? because she is the best, & the time that i did miss it was very sick.. TAKE PROFESSOR LUGO, SHE IS THE BEST PROFESSOR... you will learn a lot from her & she is great, but do your work, if you need help ask & she will definitely help you...
she is the best prof i think for beginners.she's there to help you out but you got to do the work on your part to.can't expect her to be lient all the time.if you don't hand in your paper the day it's due she gives you the chance to hand it in the next class day.very helpful i recommand her anyone who wants to learn how to write.

Her class is a huge waste of your time. She spends every class going on and on about her liberial politics and spends far too little time on the subject. I felt her gradeing wasn't too hard but if you really need someone to teach shes usless.

Best English teacher I ever had. She really helps you if you go to her. She explained the work and let's you know exactly what she is looking for. Had to write a 8 page paper thought I was going to go crazy but she lets you do half of the paper and she grades it so you can see your mistakes and what she is looking for. Very Great Teacher.
Mrs Lugo is a great teacher. She insist that you are a great writter until you start believing it yourself. She does not do the work for you. She helps you along the way.

Professor Lugo is a great teacher. She is helpful and once you do your work you are bound to do well in her class.
she is a back stabber!!! i got mostly a's on the essays in her class, then she gives me a b- for the final grade when i should have gotten an A+!!! DO NOT TAKE HER!!!!
She likes the cute athletic type. So if you are in that group it doesn't matter how dumb you sound. If your paper is writen by someone else with a little more smarts, you're in. That was the big downfall. Other than that, she is just another teacher and you have to do what you have to do to earn your grade.
She is a nice lady, but i didn't learn how to write better, and then i'll have to drop the class...because She DID NOT really teach. So All the students will have to learn on their own. Take her if your writing skill is not bad, Don't take her if you are not a good writer yourself, then you will fail.
Do not take her class,she is very lazy,and always late more than 15 minuses. She nevere taught us how to write beter a essay.Taking her class is waste your time and money.

She is a classy and well-respectable lady. BUT, she takes pity on the students who don't try as hard and lets them swing by the same as those who are really working. This is insanely frustrating knowing that i don't have to try to pass her class. A lot of times she forgets what she tells people, and other students confuse her with their whining.

Angela Lugo is an excellent professor that actually cares about making a person a better writer. She helped me improve my mla formatting. She takes your writing and places on the screen in front of the class. That is a plus because she shows you things and how to maneuver writing... I love her... It is Esmail :)
Very good professor. Put a lot of effort in her writing assignments and you will get a good grade. She might be intimidating in the beginning. She is not bad at all. She gives out good writing assignments and that are in your interest.
She knows what the students need to improve on in Eng 010! she taught me the basic which made me a better writer than before!

She is not a very food professor at all she gave me a D. She is unorganized and not very helpful. I suggest anyone that is taking Eng 010 if you really need help in writing THIS IS NOT THE PROFESSOR!!!Even if you do all the work you will not pass. If I had to give her a grade as an overall teacher it would probably be a ZERO.
I had a very hard time in her class just because she didn't taught me nothing. My ESL classes were more helpfull than her class. I expected to have more practice in writing. Instead, she talked about everything in the world: her son, fear of death, tooth paste,or food.
She expects students to do assignments on time and to ask questions. I was in a class with a 90% fail rate because none of the other students wanted to put in any effort. Do the work and ask for help and you will pass.
Bad, bad, bad. Don't get me wrong. I'm a hard working student maybe even because of this particular professor. She used to talk about anything in the world except about writing. She made us spent almost $100 on a book that we never used. Anyhow, I passed the class without her help because it was not even offered. Instead, a lot of attitude.

Love her, she is funny, sarcastic and outgoing. She was super nice and help alot, her work isn't easy you have to study and pay attention but she informs you on a lot that you may have not known before. Take her!
Very very boring. Lazy and not nice. Never reply any email. Syllabus is useless because the lectures were not organized. Skipped a lot because we did not had enough time to finish. However did not learn much. Mainly read essays in turn during the class. Once she did not appear in class without any explanation...
all I have to say about her is to not mistake kindness with weakness.... this professor will give you and F in a heart bit! if you don't do what you're suppose to.
Ms. Lugo is a really good teacher. I had her for Remedial English and then decided to take her again for English 121. She is humorous, easy, and understanding. As long as you show effort that you're trying and do the essays good you'll be just fine. Definitely recommend her!
He did a lot of work to practice for the test , but it helps to be more prepared... She gives you a sport unities to pass the class.. Very nice professor.
After the second test, she said , more than half students will fail the class. Imagining 20 students class, this might happen: 2get a, 3get b and 3 get c. if you good at reading and born here, go for it.

Never on topic! She talks about random things and is never on topic of what we are supposed to be doing, but expects you to be on top of your work. Calls you out on your work in front of the whole class. I was so fed up with her that I dropped this class and took it next semester. I would never take her again!
Shes a wonderful professor. she wants the best for all her students and would help in any way to make them pass the class. you can always go to her office for questions and she is always ready to answer them. she also helps review research papers given from other classes and helps correct them.
Professor Lugo is nice. sometimes she goes off topic. She does call out students in a joking manner if they did not do their homework. She's a little tough grader and there are barely any assignments to make a grade which I didn't like about the class and I ended up getting a B. She is not that strict or rude if u talk to her, she will understand.
great professor hands down. Make sure you know how to do MLA format, midterm is a essay in class and she makes sure you are prepared. She gives really good feedback & shes really funny. love her
Professor Lugo's class is a good choice. I was an ESL student and she told me that the transition would be difficult, however, she made it very easy and was helful. She's very clear about all the papers. There were 3-4 essays including MT & final and one term paper. She makes sure that you're going on the right track. Easy A if u put little effort

Don't take her !!!!!!!!!! She'll mess up your gpa. There are better professors that you can take to pass the class with an A. She shows no mercy!!!! Mean!!! You don't know your grade entire semester the only reason I didn't drop!
As a student, I tend to be more on the high achieving/neurotic side of things. Granted, this was during COVID-19, but prior to going remotely, she was very unclear regarding grades, assignment requirements, and other expectations. Overall, she is very unclear, tends to get off topic, and does not respond in a timely manner.
If you are looking for an easy A do not take her. It is almost impossible to get a good grade! She will constantly find errors on whatever you are writting which is very frustrating. If you can take anybody else, please do. She is a good person but she is also all over the place. I am a great studen but she frustrated me the whole semester!
i had lugo when the pandemic hit. before that, she was the absolute WORST. she critiqued your papers in front of the whole class for almost an hour. it made me so anxious and depressed going to her class. she made you feel stupid. i just gave up when the pandemic hit. it wasn't worth trying for her. take someone else if you can, trust me.
Do not take this class guys. She is literally the worst professor to teach this class and honestly doesnt care about grading the essay. Its unacceptable to finish the essays and then she doesnt even respond to students who wants to see their grades. So dont take her class and one thing your grade will be N/A for the whole semester
Professor Lugo was a nice teacher, but she would talk about irrelevant things during the class. She also would ask questions to students that were very personal and that she should not be asking. Grade was based on essays and final exam.
Professor Lugo is a very tough grader but she means well. Take advantage of her office hours it will help in essay writing and at the same time, she will show and fix all of your mistakes for you. No hw besides essays. Make sure you know how to write MLA format because she looks at work's cited first. Your grade will be N/A until end of semester.
Lugo has her heart in the right place but has no filter. She made half of the lectures political and not about the lesson itself. When she did actually explain lessons it was easy to follow but, if done wrong, expect a grade that reflects your efforts. Looking back it looks like there were only 7 assignments the whole sem so take at your risk... gl
I have no idea whether or not this was due to the pandemic, but she was quite lenient when it came to handing papers in late. My class was rather quiet; she often complained about this. Participation matters quite a lot.
I liked taking her English class. She made everything super easy to understand, and her assignments were straightforward. She gave us 2 major writing assignments throughout the semester, but she broke them down into different sections, so by the time it was time to write the final one, you already had most of the work done.
I never disliked a professor more than I did her. Last time I checked my schedule, I was taking English and not Political Science. All her essays were purely about politics and if you have a certain way of thinking that she didn't agree with, she would badger you and ridicule you, trying to make you go into grave detail as to why you think that way
Professor Lugo is not for the weak or anyone who isn't ready to discuss controversial topics. She's very upfront, straight-forward and honest. Sometimes picks on people but it's mostly tough love. She wants her students to be critical thinkers. The only negative is that she isn't precise and clear in her instructions and can be a bit brash
