Already had my bachelor's degree when I took 156 with professor Mick. Is one of the finest professors I have ever had. Can't believe that I had her in the community college setting. Have to work hard but there are very clearly defined expectations.

She's an awesome teacher who knows what she is talking about! major props to her for knowing all that she teaches!!

She knows what she's doing because she explained everything clearly. If you had a question she'd try to answer it as much as she could. She would have everything graded by the next day.

I have taken quite a few science classes and I have to say that Dr. Mick is by FAR the best teacher I have ever had. You don't come across teachers as good as this very often. She is really funny too. She made anatomy really fun! I am actually kind of sad the class is over! If you are thinking about taking her class DO IT, you won't be sorry.

Mick's enthusiasm keeps students motivated in what could be a very dry subject. She is straight forward, only tests on what she teaches, nothing tricky. Fast pace and large volume of material makes 201 tough. Would highly recommend Mick. Don't take 201 with a heavy class load. Older book edition is fine, save $ and buy online.

As it is, A&P is hard enough, but she makes the material easy to understand you just have to make sure you devote your time to studying the material.Older edition textbooks is fine(I really didn't use mine),tests/quizzes are straight from the ppt notes...

I had Dr. Mick for BIO 160 Spring 2011. I finished with an A. All I can tell you is this. Not only is she HOT for a professor, she can also teach. I never would have taken Biology, but due to Nursing it is a must. She can deliver the info in such a way that I was really able to grip it. I built my Fall 2011 schedule around her class.

I took her for A&P I and loved her. She doesn't make it confusing and is great in her lecture. The lab was easy for me but I took the time to study the material. It's definitely a class that u need to apply yourself and dedicate time to study but she was great in explaining the information and willing to answer your questions. Highly recommend!!

She's great. An all around nice kid and great teacher in most every way. Patient and empathetic. Gives little quizzes almost every day, some are extra credit. Lab exams were surprisingly tough, study the plastinates! EVERY term on the lab list is tested, so hit it hard. Super hot - like Prince says, hyperslammin'! Highly recommended.

If your looking for an easy A then you are taking the wrong class, if you go to class ans study you will have no problem!

Tons of info for this course. Personally it was not bad at all. Practicals were slightly easier than 201. Mick is one of the best professors I'v had. Study guides, quizzes every class.

Lab was easy for me. Lecture on the other hand was difficult. Her lecture exams are a bit tricky. I would advise going to every class as there is a 5 point quiz every day. She gives you every opportunity to succeed & is always willing to help. I did not use the textbook once in this class.

Hands down, one of the best professors I've ever had. She tests on exactly what she teaches. Take side notes and definitely study. No need for the lecture book however, the human atlas is needed for lab. As long as you study (for test and lab practicals), you will get an A in the course and she gives you every chance to succeed.

Dr. Mick is fantastic and everyone loves her. She is such a fantastic teacher and loves what she teaches. She gives you handouts for each test, there are a total of 10. I like that she splits them up by chapter so that you do not get overwhelmed with information. There is no cumulative final, so don't worry! Definitely take this class!

Bio 201 was hard for me... expect to study a lot even from day 1. If you don't constantly review and truly understand the material you won't pass the lecture tests. Lab was hard. Make sure to take great notes in lecture and lab and ask questions if you need to. She's there for you if you need her.

Dr. Mick, in my opinion, is one of the best instructors available at GCC. The material is hard, but Dr. Mick breaks it down into building blocks so you can build upon what you've previously mastered. Grades are earned, but you're given all of the tools to succeed if you decide to utilize them.

I had Dr. Mick for both Bio 201 & 202. She is an amazingly smart, respected woman, and she will tell you what to expect on the lecture tests but if you don't take the time to study the whole lecture packet your grade it will suffer greatly! She is always there to help and clarify anything you need with, just ask. Bio 202 was easier than 201.

Dr. Micks class is challenging, but exciting. She is genuinely interested in the material and it makes you want to listen. As long as you study every night for at least a few minutes the quizzes are doable. Although she gives out packets I would still recommend reading the chapter. Don't miss class or you'll lose potential points.

Dr. Mick is an amazing professor. Anatomy is a tough subject, not that it is hard it's just more time consuming than anything. Got A's on lab exams, but C's on the lecture exams. If you don't have to work there is no way you should get less than a B in her class. Taking her again for 202 because she is a wonderful person!

Mick is a great professor, she knows her stuff. She did get a bit grouchy at times, but we are all human. People talk and say that she get frustrated with the students who don't do well and leaves them hanging with no help. I was one of the students doing well in her class and she didn't cater to me; she always helped me when i asked for it.

she gives alot of extra credit which helped me keep my A in the end. her exams are half of what another professor gives but that doesnt mean its easier. do all the extra credits and study hard and you'll pass

Dr. Mick is definitely the best when I comes to teaching anatomy. You obviously have to work for your grade, so studying is a must. I didn't like about Bio202 lecture exams, they are much harder than bio 201. If you take Anatomy make sure u take Mick, much easier than other anatomy professors. Short mini practices, lab is super easy.

A lot of nursing students come out of BIO156 or placing into 201 and moan about this class being tough. Mick makes you work for a good grade as does every anatomy teacher. She has about 10 lecture exams and are all very short and very easy if you do one weird hack not a lot of people know, STUDY. Her lecture was fun and interesting.

Dr. Mick is by far the best instructor to take for anatomy. Anatomy 201 was a lot easier in my opinion than 202. Lecture exams are more extensive but they also weren't that easy in 201. Lab is super easy! This class teaches you how to study! Dr. Mick is strict on grading! But she's super great and makes you work for your grade. No slacking here!

Dr. Angela Mick is an excellent professor. Her lectures are straight to the point. Her exams are so easy and all she covers in lecture is exactly on the Exam. Her labs are super fun and the lab practicals are so easy. I recommend her for all students who want to take Bio201.

Second semester with Mick. The information in 202 is more enjoyable than that of 201. Exams based on material covered in lectures, daily quizzes worth 4 points each and cool lectures/labs. Not an easy A but at this point in your college career if you are looking for an easy A in a science course maybe you should re-evaluate your career choices...

I feel so lucky that I was able to have Dr. Mick for 202. Unlike some other professors, she elaborately goes through each section in lab & helps you memorize. She also breaks the exams up into smaller, multiple exams giving a huge opportunity for success. The quizzes given at the beginning of class help for studying along the way between exams.

GRADES consisted of: (201) 9LectureExams, 4MiniPracticals, 4Practicals, 28DailyQuizzes; (202) 9LectureExams, 3MiniPracticals, 3Practicals, 29DailyQuizzes. I'm bad w/ memory so I got much higher grades in Lec (exams taken @ own time) than Lab. TIPS: read textbook daily (can do in library) & read over Lec notes before exam, take advantage of OPEN LAB

I had her for 2 semesters, and 201 is harder than 202. The exams are just as hard, but the practicals are easier. She seemed to be in a better mood this semester, so I enjoyed her class much more. She joked around more. But now the notecard questions are worth less now and don't provide much of a grade boost when the extra credit kicks in.

Dr Mick is a good, caring teacher, but her class is hard. Many times her lecture, slides and textbook did not match. Put in the time to study and you will be able to catch these occurrences. She is kind and willing to clarify via email or office visit. Her exams are hard and she fell behind in both 201 and 202 and began to rush the material.

I LOVE HER, unfortunately I can not have her next semester because of how fast her classes filled up.. At first it might be hard to stay in tune with the class, but she will always be there to answer your questions. She has quizzes and mini practicals throughout the semester, and help you to not fall behind. Go to class, and study you will pass!

Very enjoyable class; I definitely learned a lot. Test are pretty hard. You have to do a considerable amount of study on material not covered in lecture that is on the test in order to do well. Very detailed lectures, however, toward the end of the semester it felt like it was a lot of last minute information in order to cover all the material.

Be ready to have A LOT of information thrown your way. With that being said, she has very clear notes that she prints out and has 4 point quizzes every lecture to help us retain the information. All of her tests and quizzes come directly from the lectures and her PowerPoints. So pay attention in class and take notes. My biggest annoyance is that she doesn't teach Bio 205.

This class is very hard. My 3 time taking. She say this learning a new language. I can speak 6. This class was harder but she bezt teacher yet. Takeing 202 with her.

Spring semester/passionate about the material at hand and does a great job giving various examples on how to identify what she is teaching. There are clear PowerPoints, and study guides, and quizzes that must be completed after each class period The lab portion is really fun and you get a lot of class time to look over the cadavers and specimens

A&P is a TOUGH subject. Attendance is crucial if you desire to get a passing grade. She is very animated and makes memorizing parts of the body fun. Her lectures are clear, and if you study you should have no problem passing. Exams are over everything she writes on the board or emphasizes in class! Take good notes! Study 2hrs a day! The best professor you'll get for Bio 201. She is such an amazing person inside and out. ASK QUESTIONS for clarification she is ready, willing, and able to help at all times. Please do your work, you can't pass this class by doing things halfway. A&P is really hard, so study study study!

However it is to benefit you, and give you some extra points. She always goes over any questions, and clarifies all materials.

While the material is challenging, Prof. Mick makes it engaging. Canvas can be tricky, but she's happy to clarify. unstuck AI was a game-changer for my exam prep - highly recommend giving it a try!
