If you hate public speaking - take Angela! She will really help you through the process and you will have fun doing so! You need to come to class and do the work! It really seems like Angela loves her job and the class has fun learning!

At first you might be overwhelmed, but after the first speech things get easier, to get an easy A i suggest you complete your outlines early and see her during her office hours, and practice of course! She is a terrific teacher and got me over my fear of public speaking!

Once I got over working in a group this class was great! Angela is willing to go out of her way to help! She does crazy activities that help pass the time in class! Much better then lecture! Thank you Angela for a great class!

I took her Hybrid class and loved it. Always do the discussion board posting and remember to take your quizzes. COME TO EVERY CLASS EASY POINTS. I HIGHLY recommend getting your outlines checked during office hours. She's very helpful during her office hours. GREAT PROFESSOR! Not a hard class if you put in the effort.

Angela Prelip is a wonderful teacher, the speeches are nerve racking but she really makes you feel at ease about it. Tip: If you take every single quiz and really participate in class you will pass even if you do badly on your speeches. Group work feels hard but is really rewarding. And focus on the symposium speech, that one is the hardest.

Prelip is an amazing teacher - good examples in class. Pay attention, do your homework, she'll recognize your hard work! She is very easy to talk to about assignments and is very knowledgeable.

Angela was a great teacher. Very supportive if you showed you were putting forth the effort. I wish I had taken more communications classes now. Just be sure to do your assignments on time and with some kind of effort. The speeches became much more relaxed as the class went on. This is the first class I was truly sad to have end.

She was so helpful and always answered any questions I had and always made sure that I understood what I was doing. She is very laid back and funny, but when she wants your attention you better give it to her. Homework is due every week in her class but the assignments are really easy if you use the book and pay attention. Easy A

This is my second time taking Angela! She is a great instructor and makes a hard subject easy. Do the work and you will learn how to present speeches. We all wish we could take speeches out of the class, but this is public speaking so that won't happen. The work she gives leads up to speeches so it gets easier as you go along!

As much as I hate public speaking angela was great! I realize as I said good bye to my classmates that I actuality know all their names because of Angela's approach to her class. You will feel overwhelmed at first but stick with it because the class gets much, much easier as the semester goes. Thank you Angela for a great semester!

This is one of those great classes where if you show up and do your work, you'll get a good grade. She is hilarious and going to class was always enjoyable. She likes to have you work in groups on an in class assignment each class period so you have to come to class or your grade will suffer. Read the textbook and you'll pass the weekly quizzes

Angela is an outstanding instructor! You will have a lot of work in this class but you will learn a lot. Now that the semester is over, it doesn't feel like there was a lot of work (compared to my other classes). Once you get over the panic of giving speeches, this class is a great class!

I just finished her summer Comm 321 online class! The discussion board questions are great! They don't feel like busy work and really encourage classmates to talk to one another! She give great feedback and response to emails right away! The assignments are centered on the book, so make sure you get it right away! Take Angela - She is great!!

Professor Prelip knows her stuff! Expect to use D2L for her class as she puts everything into checklist. The checklist are great because you always know what is due each week! Don't over think this class! If you stress out about speeches then the assignment seem harder then they are. Face-to-face classwhere fun. Had a great semester!

Prof Prelip makes you work for your grade, but she also gives you opportunities to earn extra points. She relates to all students well, is respectful towards students and expects them to be respectful to others. She encourages openness in class as a tool to learn the material better. She inspires students, and has a loyal following of students.

I'm sad to see "easiness" rated at 3.6 by all past students, because it is easy to get a good grade, if you do the work. And the work is easy, but thoughtful. You cannot expect to skate through and get a good grade, that would not be fair to the students who do the work.

If you're scared of a public speaking take communication 361! You still have speeches but they're fun and relevant to life. I wouldn't say it's an easy A but I would take Professor Prelip again anytime!

Dr. Prelip is an outstanding instructor! I took Comm 361 and 321 and loved both classes. If you are not a communication major, take Comm 361! It is the best way to meet the public speaking requirement!

Prelip is super charismatic and does a great job of relating the subject to real life. There is a lot of work, but it mostly consists of discussions and journals. Quiz questions are taken word for word from the book, so if you read the book, you'll pass the class. Never a dull moment in her class.

I really liked Angela both as a person and as a professor. She knows the agony most students feel over the required public speaking course, but she does her best to make it painless. My fellow classmates were also very supportive. Most speeches were relatively easy to write. I would take her again if I had to take another comm class.

Angela was such an incredible teacher to have. She makes you feel incredibly comfortable when presenting speeches by using different techniques in the beginning of the semester. I used to have really bad speech anxiety and she was able to help me manage it. She is very easy but still gives you great feedback on your speeches.

she actually wants you to succeed and cares about you. The discussion boards honestly suck but they are not hard. she lightens up the homework when the rest of your classes are getting really hard. she is funny and the class ends up being really enjoyable. im taking her other class next semester if that explains anything.

Professor Prelip actually cares about her students and wants everyone to be successful. She'll work with you if you're nervous about public speaking, if you forget something, or are having a bad day. She's really great!

Angela truly wants to see her students succeed. Public speaking can be intimidating, but Angela does a good job of making it fun and not so scary. My only disappointment was that she talks really big, but then doesn't follow up. I don't like it when teachers extend too much grace as it makes it unfair for those who show up prepared. Great overall!

Angela is so awesome. I had her for 301 and 361 and right now 321 and 325. She makes public speaking amazing. She wants you to do your very very very best. Angela's online classes are straightforward. Each week you have a quiz and two discussion board questions with the occasional paper. there's no guesswork and what she requires each week The discussion board questions are relevant and don't feel like busywork.

Took this class as a graduation requirement and really ended up enjoying it. Angela is a great professor. She's a very easy grader. If you follow the rubric you will get 100%. You don't do much in class but she gives points for attendance. There is a lot of writing for speeches. Take her and you won't be sorry!

I took the hybrid class. SO nice! Plans out the schedule so that you front load the work the first half of the semester, but by the time you take midterms in your other classes, you are able to relax in this class. She is really teaching from personal experience and is very relate able. There are a few group projects but she is helpful with them.

Professor Prelip is the BEST. Took her online Comm321 as a prerequisite for the sonography program. Highly recommend her to everyone. Her syllabus is straightforward. Turn in your work once a week with a couple days extra to reply to the discussions. Weekly chapter journals which are super easy & a great way to reflect on your communication skills.

I took this class for credit but it ended being my favorite by the end of the semester. My only regret is that I took it online and not in person. The material is dense but Professor Prelip makes everything relate-able to your life so it does not seem like work. I learned a ton about myself and other cultures, I recommend this class to anyone.

I have taken 4 classes from Angela and I enjoy her a lot. She makes the homework understand and if you do not get it, she is there to help you. I have taken her for Comm 301,321,325, and 361. I love it and she is very caring and helpful. While you are studying for midterms and finals in other classes, she has no midterm or finals. She is amazing.

I have taken public speaking twice and I am so grateful for landing in Angela's class! Every assignment has a handout and a grading checklist so you understand exactly what to do. She is quick to respond to emails and always available to help. Her expectations in class are clear. Public speaking is hard but Angela makes the class bearable!

This class is not hard, there's just a lot of work. I took her 100% online class, so make sure you read all of her instructions carefully, and listen to her video instructions. Speeches done on zoom, really easy to use, especially after the first speech. This is an easy A as long as you make time to do all the work as directed.

I took the online 301 class because of my stage fright, but in this class it was so much easier to present. I thought this class would be a walk in the park but there's actually quite a lot of assignments that you need to stay on top of to get an A. Lots of DQ's and assignments, but it's all to get you ready to present your speech.

She's such an amazing professor, but be ready to work hard and you'll do great.

At first, I was so nervous to take my online COMM 301 class, but Professor Prelip's online lectures are very helpful. She gives extra credit points for her quizzes. I really like how Professor Prelip understands that her students are humans too, and she is not strict with them.

She's a fun professor! Will have you be super involved in class and by the end of it all, you'll know all your classmates. She was a bit scatterbrained and took weeks to grade our work. Class was also canceled quite a few times. But I'd definitely take her again! It was an easy and fun class.

Professor Prelip is a great teacher but I would not recommend doing the class online. I did it online thinking it would be easier, but it definitely is not. Presenting in front of a webcam to your classmates is MUCH more awkward and clunky than just presenting in a classroom. Wish I had done an in person class. Otherwise the class wasn't too hard.

I took her online communications class last year. The class was great and shes very clear on what she expects from her students. Her feedback is great, all though if she disagrees with something you say she does let you know. You can not skip the speeches!

Angela was an amazing teacher and I would take her over and over again! The workload is easy for COMM 321. It is just a journal and two discussion postings a week. There is no exams and no final. Her expectations are clear and consistent. She gives great feedback. I highly recommend all students take her!

I took Prof. Prelip in the Fall of 2019 and she is an awesome teacher! She really knows how to make an online class feel more personable. My only struggle in class was that a lot was required every week with two discussion boards, a journal, and an essay type quiz addressing material from the text. Due to a lot on my plate, it got hard to keep up.

This is one of the best class to date in my college career! She sends personal emails with class updates. The class is well thought out. Its great not to have quizzes! The journals and discussion board questions are clear and easy to answer. Prelip videos are short and explains everything you have to do over the module. I would highly recommend!

I took Angela's online Comm 321 class and loved it! We had one or two discussion board assignments, a journal each week and a final paper. The discussion board assignments are well thought out and are very applicable to life. There are NO QUIZZES or EXAMS! Angela gives feedback and responds to emails fast. I took professor Prelip for both summer (comm 321)and fall (Comm 351) semester. her classes are extremely easy to navigate, and her expectations are very transparent and easy to follow. Comm 321 was my favorite course as the continent was very relevant and life changing. It should be a requirement for all students to take.

Professor Prelip is a professor you SHOULD take as she is caring and clearly likes teaching this class. The Zoom speeches are certainly better than doing it live and I found them much more manageable. Grades being released in huge groups at once meant it was difficult to gauge where I stood. I learned a lot and enjoyed the class overall.

Professor has clear expectations throughout the course. As long as you follow the rubric for each assignment, it is easy to do well.

Professor Prelip is a great professor and she tries to make the class fun and enjoyable. She does grade slowly and attendance is MANDATORY, she does not post instructions for some assignments, you have to be in class to receive the instructions verbally. I would take her again!

Prelip was very clear with her expectations/grading criteria. At first, it was a LOT of busy work so be prepared for that, but overall she grades easy. The speech criteria was very clear and she was helpful with telling us how our speeches should be written and formatted. I had dreaded public speaking, but it went much more smooth than expected.

She's a really good teacher. We used an online textbook but it was free. There was a lot of writing in this class but it was really easy because you have to use your personal experiences when writing. There were no tests. Just stay on top of the assignments. Assignments were pretty consistent every week. 1 essay at the end is the final.

Dr. Prelip is a great professor. Turn everything in! Total of 5 or 6 speeches. She makes a point to make information accessible and easy to understand, even for beginners. Might seem intimidating to ask her questions at times, but just don't ask her questions that would be in the material she already handed out. A graduated cool girl. V chill.

I've taken her before this class, she is packing on more writing assignments these days. She assigned meeting times for an asynchronous class. Did not like that we had to attend meeting days that we were not presenting. It defeated the purpose of taking an asynchronous class. very nice person otherwise. Is in east coast so theres a time difference.

I would definitely take Angela again! Follow the modules and you will have everything you need to be successful in her class! Top-level professor!
