Good fair online class. You learn alot but it is fast track so it goes really fast. Good news is you finish faster.
Quizlet is your best friend for this class. Textbook is required but I only used it once. The weekly assignments arent difficult and are pretty easy just using the PowerPoints.
Professor Sadowski is a great professor, especially because of how passionate she is about psychology. Her lectures are interesting, she tries her best to include videos, give examples, and engages her students to help us to understand the material. Her class includes 5 exams. If you do not want to study, then don't take this class.
She was super consistent I took two psych classes with her. One online and one in class. Her lectures are the best because she actually explains and gives examples even sometimes showing videos so the student really understands. Her final is cumulative super appreciative of that because I saw all the questions on previous test
She was a great teacher. I would take her again for sure.
I took psych 1 over the summer. The class was a lot of work--two chapters, two discussion boards, and two quizzes a week--but it wasn't hard. I think that as long as you manage your time well and don't procrastinate then you will do fine. Professor Sadowski also makes sure to give helpful feedback on every discussion post which I really liked.
She made abnormal psych interesting. At first I thought two projects was a lot but they were actually really fun because you get to choose what disorder its on. Shes honest, grades quickly and her tests are fairly easy although the final was tough. Really enjoyed her class and would take her again! Easy A!
Failed because of a technical difficulty submitting a video presentation, she wouldn't accept it late because she doesn't care about technical difficulties.
Please, save yourself stress and anxiety, and DO NOT TAKE THIS COURSE ONLINE. The CHAFFEY website messed up; it was a glitch that caused the test to submit itself the second I clicked start test. Even though it was not an error on my end, she refused to let me take the test worth 5% of my grade. Starting the semester with a 3% woo-hoo :(
Prof Sadowski is a good teacher! Her lectures are clear and straight to the point. This is my second semester with her and its going great. The quizzes are easy if you read the textbook and study the power points. I learned alot about psychology so if youre interested in being a psychologist, social worker, LMFT etc then take her!!
Professor Sadowski is a solid choice in my opinion despite all the negatives things I've heard. She is VERY clear about grading and her homework policies in her syllabus just read it so you won't be surprised by any of her grading and rules. Overall really fun and interesting course!
Professor Sadowski is great. Took her for 6wk fast track course for Fall 21 and am taking her AbPysch 55 for second half of Fall21. Her class is an easy A if you do the work. Like its literally impossible to fail her class unless you just dont do the work.
This would have been my all time favorite class at Chaffey College if not for the unclear expectations from this professor. I would answer the prompts to the questions and she would always mark points off. When I asked why, she never gave me any answers. Her grading seemed like it didn't match up with my assignments. Amazing recorded lectures.
This class was very manageable, and the homework was a decent amount. She is very responsive when needed help and the homework overall isn't that difficult. Prepare to read a lot though. Overall, she's caring and attentive.
I learned a lot during this course. This has a very easy textbook to follow with valuable information. There is a lot of homework and she is a tough grader. Reaching out to her through email can be a bit confusing because her directions are not clear and if you are not specific enough when asking for help she just repeats the directions again.
Unorganized, majority of class according to cahoot did bad on test. Grades work late. Does not give extra credit opportunities. Boring seems like she doesn't like her job.
Great. Very interesting lectures. Loved Abnormal psych
Interesting assignments. She is very helpful to her students.
I like Prof Sadowski. She is funny and loves Psych. It made learning fun
Learned so much about psychology - professor is super chill - she likes what she teaches and cares about us
Like my online class - easy to figure out what is due and lectures are interesting
Great prof. Knows a lot about psych and wants students to do well
Abnormal psychology was great this semester. I took her online fast track course and her grading is fair as long as you do the work. I would defiantly take another one of her classes.
Very easy if you pay attention. Super straight forward and on exams she provides extra questions so its super easy to pass this class.
Control and power issues, one sided conversations. Logical thinker, low empathy. Difficult to talk with and understand her reasoning. Bitter, resentful, and probably overworked.
loved! you learn A LOT in class, although it wasn't mandatory, I highly recommend since she explains so much in person. A lot of activities in class to help understand the material, she provides a study guide before tests, very easy going.
She demonstrates and/or gives examples of most of the confusing topics found in psychology. Sadowski teaches in the form of lectures that contain information from the required textbook. Note-taking and reading comprehension are extremely crucial in her class.
Professor Sadowski is great! She is always quick to respond to any questions via email and really explains all her homework or assignments. She is pretty easy. She is easy going and very informative about the subject that shes teaching! She is an amazing Professor!
Fun class learned alot
I really didnt think I would like Psychology but this teacher made it interesting.
In class stuff really helped me learn the material
Horrible I have never had a teacher so bad. Very upset will report this teacher. Grading flat out
While the lectures were long, they taught a lot and had great examples of certain concepts and she was very good at making analogies for them, I learned a lot, overall great lectures. To do well in this class, you do need good time management skills as she is a pretty tough grader, however, she is willing to give good feedback and help when needed.
Read the syllabus if you don't understand please ask . This class appears to be very different and difficult compared to other classes so try to avoid this instructor.
Professor Sadowski's Abnormal Psychology class was really engaging. Her lectures were super interesting, and tools like unstuck ai made studying a breeze. Took the online course - fair grading if you put in the work.
Professor has long lectures and covers everything OUTSIDE of the test. She talks a lot about things that aren't even on the test and drags things out. The tests were fairly easy, just things we didnt discuss. Textbook was waste of money.
I gained about seven diagnosable mental illnesses as I traversed the confusing and soul crushing course called psychology one. Angela sadowski. Words can not describe the pain I feel when I hear that name. Class was garbage. I received a reply to an email weeks after she promised to respond. Drop her class immediately if you get her. Save yourself.
While I was originally very interested in psychology, this class made the topic much less enjoyable as I would've hoped. The tests had questions the materials did not go over and I practically had to look up half of the answers. The non-test assignments were interesting at points, but were the only light in the dark hole that is this class.
One of the most enjoyable psychology classes I have taken. It did not feel tedious with busy work, but there was an aspect of critical thinking involved which made it relatable and applicable. You have to attend class, be involved and do work outside of class, but it is manageable.
She changes the project date, and beware of your grades.
I will say her activities are very engaging and her test are very easy once you know that material. But, her lectures are lacking in aiding with said test. Her grading is also at times very complicated and almost contradictory. If you get her it's not the end of the world but I'd recommend seeing if you could have the class changed.
She seems like a really nice lady but a her grading is all over the place and she seems overworked.
This instructor will steal your grade, very dishonest grader.
Professor is knowledgeable about her subject, many hands-on assignments such as case studies and personal assessment tests. Talked with some bias against certain disorders. Straightforward exams, clear study guides provided. Final group project that was completed mostly out of class. Could not make up activities if I missed the in-person meeting.
She did a great job on describing SOME of the things we needed to learn, skipped other things all together and there was twice in the lectures she stated we didn't need to learn something then that week that same material was on the test made things very confusing.
Deducts on spelling mistakes. Tough grader. Helpful lectures. Replies to emails fast. Took the professor twice.
Her grading system makes no sense and she deducts points off for the smallest detail missed. She has lectures and they don't cover everything on the quizzes! You're not allowed to do retakes and they're timed on top of that. She doesn't offer extra credit. She doesn't even say why you're wrong. Dont bring yourself more stress taking this professor.
I would never take this professor again. She assigns so much work within a week and expects it all done on top of other classes you may take. She deducts point of spelling mistakes yet can't spell my name right any time she responds to me. She doesn't cover everything that's on tests and for some lectures makes you teach it to yourself.
Incredibly work heavy. Lots & LOTS of quizzes/tests, homework, discussions, etc. Expect a lot of writing, reading, and a group project. Strict deadlines, no extra credit or late work accepted. Grading felt unfair at times. A lot of the work assigned was engaging, I learned SO much. Take this course at your own discretion.
Professor Sadowski is a great lecturer. However, she is not at all helpful to her students. Most other professors are very willing to help students and want to see them succeed but I don't find that to be the case with Professor Sadowski. Each time I emailed her, she was no help and just referred me to the syllabus. Would not recommend.
