Ms. S exposed us to authors I never would have read on my own and I am very thankful. Her standards were higher than most of my other English teachers have been, but she obviously likes her students and loves literature. WORTH IT!!!

Took her twice. The work was hard, but one thing I knew was that the classes would be fun and Miss. S would help us out. I learned alot from her.Definitely into her work and really likes her students. I actualy learned how to write good papers finally.

Is very enthusiastic about literature. You will have fun and learn a great deal from this woman, but you have to do the work. She wants you to learn, doesn't just want to teach, which is a nice change from other teachers.

Take this class - you wont be disapointed. makes the wk very fun, but you remember everything. Shows movies about the stories. one paper, no tests/quizzes as long as you do the hw & read. final was hard, but if you were there and did the wk, you pass

Saragusamade it easy to have very open disscussions. She always knows the right question to ask to get you thinking. Fair grading and definitely whipped my writing into shape!

Angela is so awesome! She treats you like a student as well as a friend. She is always available for extra help, and is really good at it! She makes class fun, and after not having her for 2 years, I still go back and visit! :)

Great teacher. Always willingness to help her students be successful. Likes us and it shows. Very enthusiastic. If you go to the movies tell her what you see. somehow shell relate it to what you are learnign which is fun and cool.

I love her. Best teacher for english ive ever had. I actually enjoy writing and reading now. Shes down to earth and young so you can really relate to her and you can go crazy in class. Basically my whole class is takeing 122 next semester. Lots of writing but a great class

I had this professor for English 121, and I tell you she made me want to COME to class. Every class was fun and very educational. She was a completely out there and energetic person and she really seemed to care. ANGELA IS AWESOME!!!!!!!

Nice lady. She laughs alot and engages the class in alot of conversation. But notice that she has an agenda over the guys. Which makes me understand why every story we read was about "womens Liberation". She tends to grade harsher if you dont agree on certain issues with her. But if you kiss her ass enough she might give you a B or soemthing.

Loved both her classes. Shes a great lady who really cared about me and my work. I learnde alot and liked to go to class./ I missed a couople of classes when I was sick anmd she never made me feel bad when I thought my writing sucked. She's great.

Fab teacher, awesome class. Not only did she teach me to write, but she taught me how to dissect everything I read! After I took Angie's class, my 122 teacher read my work, asked who I took 121 with and basically said that i had learned to write a great paper.

awesome, awesome, awesome. great lady with a good heart. You make appointments with her to sit down and go over your writing, she takes you step by step on what needs to be done. She makes the research process seem not so overwhelming!

Couldn't ask for better. Made everything fun. Cool and down to earth. Fastest email replies ever. She knows how to get you into the talks without feeling like I was dragged in or that I was doing something wrong if I didn't talk out in class like some other teachers.

Best class I ever took in college. Best teacher for english, hands down. ONE PAPER! who ever heard of that?? Angela made this course actually about something. DOn't kid your self, tho, it wasn't always easy but i'll tell ya, i can write a paper pretty good now. I'd take her again if I can.

Nice lady. She can be annoying at times though. For example, if you laugh during class she asks "what were you laughing at?" Or if you dare to say a word in class she asks" what did you say?" That I think is very annoying. Her grading on the final paper is strict. As I said, she is nice but I do NOT recommend her.

I loved this class so much. I love Angela, and her teaching style. She made it fun, but she has some strict rules and that was fine. We did one paper, so Im not complaining. She was totaly dedicated to helping me and I can['t thank her enough for all she did to work on my stuff with me. She's the best!

Pretty cool teacher, work is easy is if you actually read and pay attention, theres only one or two essays and there both a piece of cake, she gives you forever to write them, and she has some pretty good stories too, overall i really enjoyed the class and would recommend her to someone who enjoys lit classes

I took this class online this pass summer and it was difficult for me to follow the readings but Saragusa was there all the way and gave me the confidence and assistance to get an A in the class. I totally recommend and will take her again.

Took class online. Very structured teaching style. Easy to follow. Keep up with deadlines. Great feedback and would definitely take her again.

Extremely helpful. Engages the classroom every lecture. Follow her instructions along with the syllabus and you will do well. Do not miss the deadlines she gives, your grade will suffer otherwise. Keep your cell phone silent and put away for her lectures. She's a stickler on that. Overall, it was a good class. I would recommend her.

She keeps you for the whole class, which kind of sucked. Otherwise, she really liked what she was teaching and she made a lot of sense.

Angela was one of the best professors I've ever had. She is very straightfoward with what she expects. She spells everything out for you in her syllabus. The thing I liked most was that we worked on one paper the whole semester which allowed me to really focus on the art of research paper writing.

AMAZING! My mom's friend recommended her to me, and I based my whole schedule around her. (Well worth it!) She's extremely helpful, and such a sweetheart. She's truly an amazing person and professor.

I took this class online, as long as you read the material and respond on time you will get an A. The teacher was very sweet and took the time to write a full response on every assignment that was due each week. She just took a while to respond. Very easy class if you give your time to read the stories 2 times.

Super nice. Makes sure to update class on all assignments and what is expected of assignments. Gives great feedback. There's A LOT of reading, but she picks interesting stories to read. She answers back emails in a timely manner. Easy grader as long as you do the work on time and don't BS. Def. recommend her!

I took Prof Saragusa for ENGL 121 and I loved it. It was a little boring in the mornings but honestly the class went smooth and she genuinely cares about her job. Show up, do your HW, and take time on the papers and you'll be fine. Not to bad!

Prof. Saragusa is AMAZING! She is personable, understanding, and caring. A total of 3 essays, and some minor things in between, but nothing crazy. The class is in a computer lab. All work can be completed in class, and no need to pay for printing. She allows you to print your work in the classroom. If you have the chance to take her, DO IT!

All of the papers you have to write for this course are directly linked to the homework, so I suggest you do it!! Really isn't that hard of a course for anyone who actually pays attention.

THE BEST. no book little HW . Last essay on movie Awakenings. First 2 essay? 10 points for revision at end of semester!!! Engaged, Caring, pleasant, up beat . Excellent critical annotations on all work directing toward better result. Met with outside of class for helpful direction. Inspiring. Rearranged schedule to take her again .

She is definitely a great professor but it is sooo much work online. 2500 word literary analysis which was almost impossible to meet. Falls behind on grading. Extremely thorough with her instructions. Answers emails very fast and is really the sweetest lady. Take her!! but maybe not if you're not an english major (like myself)

Im a middle aged student. Took her twice. Waitlisted for a 3rd. Great teacher. Really helped me improve, inspired me to be a better writer. Very patient with my complete lack of skills with citing - taught me to navigate the digital world as s student. I wish I could take her every semester. Really enjoy the challenges she gives us

This is the 2nd time I have taken her and I love her so much. Shes kind, understanding, and provides you with a lot of great feedback. Genuinely cares about her students and their wellbeing. With that in mind, please know that her courses do involve a lot of work and reading which can be tough but she does an excellent job teaching it all!

I had Professor Saragusa back in the fall semester of 2018, she was a great professor. Class is easy, show up, do the work and youll definitely pass. I was struggling in the class and she was always willing to help me with anything I needed help with and always gave me good feedback on how to improve. Definitely take her class.

Prof. Saragusa is actually really nice. She's always there to listen when you need it and she's not a terribly hard grader. Just be careful at the end of the semester and complete all your homework on time because she doesn't grade everything right away. You may think you have a A and end with a B-

Saragusa was one of the best online teachers. I had a lot going on and I always emailed when assignments would be late/past due and I've even had a rough start with brookdale telling me the wrong start dates and such and I was about a week late to every single one of my classes yet she was the most compassionate. W teacher.

I took ENGL 155 with her during the winter. Although there are many readings and responses that require a huge amount of time for me, I received a good grade finally. Try the best and show a positive attitude will be fine!

I'd recommend her! No phones in her class though. Assignments were easy and simple tbh, just do the work and you'll be fine.

She is one of the most amazing teachers I've had at brookdale! I took her class last spring and it was a great experience. She's very helpful, understanding, and most of all willing to help her students be successful in her class! All she expects is effort.
