that's funny,coz i find simon really good.she knows her stuff,and altho she is weird sometimes(hey all psychologists are weird),she's cool.she's funny and i guarantee u that u'll laugh.also, she hands out study guides b4 quizzes so u knw what to study.

I dunno if it is just psych 3 but I think she is an awesome teacher! She is always avail. during her office hours to answer questions & the study guides help. Just the writing assign. were hard.

I took her telecourse class and thought it was very easy. She was helpful and let me make up a test during her office hours. The tests are all open book open study guide!! Take Psych 5 this way!!

She is very helpfull, well informed, and presents her material effectively.

if she writes it on the board it will be on the test, also she gives study guides very helpful. interesting class, i took her fall of 2001 and think she is great.

The subject itself is difficult but she is funny and always has a dumb yet somewhat funny/easy question on the test as a freebie question.

Wow!!! She's...interesting. She's one of those people you laugh at and not w/.But she's a really nice lady. Very clear on what's on the test, and goes over all the material. If you read and take notes you should get an A....like I did. lol

An awkward sense of humor, scared of squirrels, but very clear and easy teacher. You'll love the study guide and notes. Very few questions on the test cover material that is not written up in class. I took this in Fall 05 and had 2 easy essays and 3 or 4 tests. Extra credit is available too. Take Dr. Simon!

Lectures are easy to follow with lots of examples. Sometimes she is overly tolerant of students' interruptions with stories of their own. Tests require a strong grasp of the English language and require reasoning skills that more resemble I.Q. tests than application of materials. I observe some really enjoying it; ESL students are in tears.

Awesome instructor. Very clear, kind of funny (well, at least she tries!) All of her tests are scantrons and there are two writing assignments. Extra credit is available, but only up to 10 points.

Dr. Simon is a good teacher. In order to pass her class you must take notes and read what you are supposed. She gives two writing assignments and three tests total. There isnt a final. She gives extra credit but up to ten points.

quirky, silly, funny. she loves the material and she shows it. The tests are what you read, naturally. very funny sense of humor, i loved her!

Eccentric in a good way. The class was interesting and there wasn't a lot of work. I'm glad she beat her cancer!

Great Teacher. Loves to talk, loudly. She makes an average class as interesting as can be expected. 4 tests w/50 Qs each. 2 simple papers (i think 20 pts each). 10 extra credit pts. Ms. Simon has a great outlook on life and makes class fun most of the time. The material is pretty interesting if you have some interest in the human mind. good stuff.

Angela is the best college professor I have experienced

Angela is a pretty cool teacher. She tries to use cool demonstrations and clips to make boring material more exciting. She is nice and explains things well.

Angela's a little strange at times, and she likes to talk about how marijuana isn't damaging to the brain. Overall, she's really easy going and her class is an A-shoe-in.

Angela's is awesome. Social Psych/Psych 8 is a good class. Her tests can be a little tricky though, so time really needs to be put into studying. Some of the material you have to learn on your own and read from the book. Overall it is a good class.

Extra credit is 2 papers, but only up to 10 points. 4 tests w/50 long Qs on each. Concepts applied to each question. Great Teacher. Loves to talk, loudly. Dr Simon is a very funny & good prof. Exams are tricky, but so is life & especially psychology! Some chapters in the Baron text book were awful (page 472), very poorly written. It took me 15 min to make sense of one really bad paragraph! Good medication for insomnia! Dr S made the concept a lot clearer than the book!

I took her class during summer. The class is very interesting and she is very funny. Basically, there are 4 tests total, and they are all easy if you read the book. Also, she gives you study guides before the test so be sure to go over that. Definitely take her!

Exams are a bit tricky and somewhat difficult. You REALLY need to know the material well. Don't try to get away with not reading the text.

If you get to know her, you'll love her! She is extremely bright & enjoys class participation. Goofy, yeah! but worth it. It's college, not preK. so work a little. I dare you to take her!

I was pretty disappointed in this class. Simon is strange-funny which makes her class unique and she is nice enough. However, I didn't get much out of the class. I earned an easy A (just did the reading, no study time) so if that what you're looking for this Prof is for you. I prefer to be challenged, which this class didn't accomplish.

Very difficult class to take during Winter session. I do not recommend it if you have kids, a job, a life. Take this class during Spring or Fall if you would like a decent grade. Simon is a tough grader and doesn't always follow the syllabus regarding policies, so beware. Tests are pretty difficult, be prepared.

She is a real "space cadet"! I tried taking this class during winter session and it did not work out! She is weird and ask the strangest questions. I would only recomend her if you're half alien too!

She is funny if you are mature. Yes, kind of weird but in a good way. YOU MUST READ and listen to the lectures (the exams are based on both). Not as hard as it sounds but does aquire some study time out side of class. DUH! it is college. She is super laid back and is willing to help you if u ask. I took her for the fall her exams were 50 questions

She is an okay professor. Her test are multiple choice and short answer. I barely opened the test book. The class is SOOOOO BORING. Taker her if u dare! i mean she's not all that bad , but she also not all that good of a professor. the test are not that hard. u have to study and read. she's funny at times bit mostly boring.

angela is really funny and helpful but your entire grade is based on the 4 or 5 tests and some of the questions are hard and confusing. hard class but i learned a lot :) extra credit is given

angela is a great teacher! no homework, grades are based on 5 tests only, 1 is dropped. she may seem a little out there but she explains things very well to the point where it may be over explaining! she is funny and very helpful, take her class. easy A!

She's not a bad professor-quite humorous actually. The class itself isn't difficult.This would be a good class to take.

She was a little unclear on lecture but the study guide helps a lot! Do the extra credit it will save your grade. ... also attend class regularly. The book is the main part of the course

If you want an EASY A in Psychology. This class is THE class to take. This class is honestly a big joke and no challenge at all! Trust me, all the other Psych professors SUCK. All you have to do is show up, take notes, pay attention, and you have your A. Tests are a breeze. The other professors require an essay. Angela, on the other hand, doesn't!

she is so nice and helpful. she makes a boring subject fun. she is so hillarious.

take her class if you want an easy A, don't take her class if your major is psych. she always goes off on random stories, but they're very interesting. she gives out a study guide for every exam and the study guides are EXTREMELY helpful. she's pretty chill, so moving a test date is no problem. i recommend taking her!

Very funny teacher! She explains very well so that the students can understand and she loves what she does. She is always smiling and once in a while comes up with jokes related to the class. Her tests are multiple choice and always gives a freebie. Overall excellent teacher, highly recommend.

Angela Simon is my favorite teacher so far!From her positive attitude to her EASY exams.I ejoyed spending my friday mornings in her classroom.She gives a total of 5 exams,and she drops your lowest score. She also gives tons of EC and is very understanding if you need to take and exam another time.She is very helpful and "chill"butsomemaynotliketht.

Professor Simon is a wonderful teacher. She is hilarious but still teaches well. A breath of fresh air. Grade is made up of 5 major exams, but she drops the lowest score. Material is all from textbook/lectures. Study well and you'll do fine in the class. Easy A!

I took her for both general psych (5) and social psych (8) because i enjoyed her class so much. I was having a bad day and in her class she told a hilarious story and made me laugh so much it turned my day around. I just think she's a great person and a fun teacher

Dr.Simon is AMAZING!!!! I totally recommend her to any and all. She is upbeat, funny, nice, and super helpful! Keep up with the reading, attend class, and you will be fine. I would say pay attention but she makes it so interesting that you'll do it without knowing!

Dr. Simon is pretty good with all the material. I took Psych 3 online and did alright.

I took her online class this summer. She's a pretty tough grader on her assignments, but her tests are easy as long as you study the material she told you to study in her "Angie's comments" page. if you do her relatively easy assignments and study her comments, you should do fine. Plus, her test questions are entertaining lol.

BEST TEACHER EVER! She is entertaining, helpful, gives tons of extra credit. Her tests to me were a little difficult but i'm sure i just needed to study more. Honestly she is a great teacher and a super nice person.

Professor Simon is definitely a little eccentric, but she is a great professor. She makes the class laugh and obviously enjoys teaching. Class is relatively easy, just print out the lecture notes. I bought both textbooks, but only used it like once. Take Professor Simon if you want a laid back class!

took her online. the class isnt that easy but its not extremely difficult either. do the group discussions and read her comments before taking exams. she offers extra points on almost all of the test. she never really was online though. sort of took forever to update grades but other than that, it was a pretty chill online class.

Shes very funny. She is a hard grader. she gives extra credit. Book is required. Her test are difficult. its not words and definitions. not an easy A but i recommend her.

Just finished her online class. I enjoyed her so much, I actually wished I had her in person instead of online...very funny, smart, and cool. The class is not easy, you must stay on top of the reading (which can be a lot if you have other classes). She gave a decent amount of extra credit which made all the difference. I would highly recommend her!

Dr. Simon is great!! She gives a study guide before each test. Offers lots of extra credit opportunities. Gives free points on every test, always helpful when you have a question, and really funny. Which she taught more than Psych. I'd take her again.

I took her online class over the summer. I was taking 2 summer classes together, so couldn't really commit to this online class. However, managed to get a B. I recommend taking only 1 class per session in summer. I could've got an A if I did so. However, she's great! You learn a lot and highly recommend her!

I loved Dr. Simon. She has a passion for her job and you can definitely see that she enjoys teaching. She isn't online very much, but answers questions when needed. Offers extra credit often, simple to accomplish. Requires group discussions, usually 2 paragraph answers required. As long you you read the study guides she offers, exams are easy.

Her online course was nice. Quite a bit of reading but it accommodates to your schedule so that helps a lot. She adds some hilariously lame but clever jokes to the notes and tests and that's always a plus! She offers some extra credit and drops the lowest test score to give you a higher final grade . She's great, guys. I'd say take her class!

She is really funny, and likes to laugh at her own jokes. she is very accommodating to students. There are a few movies that we watch to help us understand some theories that we learn. STUDY for the tests. barely any homework. she likes to put "funny" test answers so you know that one is not the correct answer.

I took her online class because of my schedule. It is a hard class if you don't keep up with the reading, but if you are good at reading comprehension and retaining information, take it. She gives 4 tests, drops ur lowest graded test. Very sweet, but I wish I could have experienced the in-class lectures environment to help me understand better.

Simon is really nice and hilarious. She's quirky but in a good way and does a really good job teaching the material. You can tell she loves what she does and is into the class just by her lectures. She also uses a lot of personal examples. Her class was really hard though and the tests were open book and note but still pretty difficult.

First had Dr. Simon for Psych 5 online and realized I was missing out by not being able to enjoy her lectures in person. Received a lot of relevent information in class. She creates a great environment for student interaction which enhances the learning experience. I look forward to taking another class taught by her; I'm sure it will be valuable.

Simon is quite eccentric! Gives lots of e.c., but if it's honors, she maxes you out @ 10 pnts. Altho she gives you notes to print out, it's good to read the S&V text (forget M&P) bc the short answer essays on tests come from there. HW and tests are easy to do, but her meticulous grading is what makes the class harder than it seems. Ezy grp project.

She is interestingly different. She structures her class in a unique way, so you might not find her too boring. Take her if you like different.

I took this class online over the summer. Be prepared to read A LOT, and to study hard for the tests because they aren't an easy walk through the park. There are 4 exams and she drops one of your lowest scores of the first three so that your grade can increase. She also offers extra credit so definitely take advantage of that & don't be a cheater.

Great professor that gives good lecture and a nice person to talk to outside of classroom. The only thing I didn't like about her class is that sometimes she would not stop people from sharing their sex lives or sexual experience that were inappropriate.

Angela is awesome, psychology is not an easy subject but she adds in humor even on the tests so you can remember things! There is a lot of reading but it's online so you have to commit to teaching yourself. Her grading is clear and straight-forward. She's there for you if you need clarification. She also makes the class easy to apply to your life.

Angela's a gem. She's kind, upbeat, funny, and more. Her class isn't as comprehensive as a more intense psychology class could be, but it will often explore subjects that its students are curious about. It's quite relaxing and enjoyable. You're likely to leave her class with an understanding of specific topics and a greater interest in psychology.

She was amazing!! I took the online course. I would recommend Crash Course if you're lost.. highlighting in book and note taking! Tests could be difficult, a lot reading. DOES use the textbook. She is hilarious and inspiring. She gives great feedback and is good about emailing back. I would recommend her course!!

Angela is an amazing professor, one of the best I've had here. However, this class was by no means easy. Studying and reading the textbooks are essential to learning the material, otherwise you will end up with a low grade. Most of the important things are discussed in the lecture, but there is other information that can be missed without reading.

I took Professor Simon's on-line Psych 5 class. I loved her! She was really responsive to my questions. I asked her about the testing because it was really weird at first, but once she explained that her tests are concept based which require you to think about the 'psychological approach' being used I did much better. Participation is a MUST

My classmates had a tough time here because they didn't pay attention in class. If you pay attention, it's really easy to succeed here! She also offers extra credit. Like a lot of it.

She's very funny and nice and likes to joke around in class which makes her amiable. There's only one group project, but it's very simple. Make sure to get the text and refer back to it before tests, because there's a lot she doesn't necessarily cover in her notes or her lectures. She's also interested in the paranormal, if that interests you.

Dr. Simon is a great and intelligent professor. She always makes the class, notes, & exams fun with little jokes and pictures. She knows and cares a lot about the topics she lectures on. Her study guides are precise and exams are open-note. Her notes are printed w/ MOST of the info from the books, so textbooks aren't totally necessary. Fun class!

A solid teacher. She is easy on grading, gives a lot of opportunity to ace the class and the lectures are always interesting. She can be a bit clumsy and messy sometimes, but very great besides that!

I really enjoyed her class. I took the winter semester which was super condensed and a lot of work, but she made it as fun as possible. Really interesting content and LOTS of extra credit opportunities. The tests are timed and seem short, but I always ended up having extra time at the end. I definitely recommend taking her class!

Took this over winter so going into it I knew it would be a lot to cover in about 4 weeks. Angela was very caring and always made clear what assignments were due and when the exams would be. She was very understanding that a class that fast pace is hard and gave everyone several opportunities to earn extra credit. She also dropped one exam.

Prof. Simon is a great professor, I had her for a human sexualities class. she is a bit disorganized but makes up for it in spirit. She is very eccentric and very fun human being. great professor, fun class. Book is semi-necessary for the test but most of it is common sense

I enjoyed taking this professor. Quick grader, gives feedback, you can tell she cares about her students. If you can, take her. Online course wasn't difficult - put in the effort and you will get an A.

Angela Simon is an amazing teacher. Super understanding, so funny and eccentric (even over an online class you can tell she has a stellar personality)!! I took it during fall, and the opportunities for extra credit were such a kindness that was totally by her good faith. She does a really great job in reminding you everything is going to be okay!

I took Professor Simon for online for the summer. Since it was a shorter semester there was a lot of information to learn in a short period of time. She gave us extra credit points without having to do anything for it. She was quick with responses to questions but not a very fast grader. The book doesn't have all the info you need for the test.

I took Psyc 5 in Summer 2020. It was fast-paced. Lots of reading. She made it interested. She provided class notes. I would take her again.

Professor Simon is a gem, she is a wonderful Professor she gives you all the tools to be successful she gives you notes that prepare you to do well on her test. I'm a single mother on a fixed income and she was very understanding. She will do everything in her power to make sure you are successful in her class. She is amazing!

A class that does not take much dedication and time, yet you still end up learning, which is perfect. 15 points of extra credit for attending a wellness workshop. would definitely take again!

Professor Angela is excellent. I attended class in person, and she lectured a lot, but I learned a lot of various things. Read those modules! They will help a lot with the exams.

Dr. Simon is a hoot! I love taking her class because she's quirky but in a good way and makes me laugh. Her tests take from both lectures and the text. She will go over most of the textbook content in class and will let you know which parts of the textbook are not covered so you can go over it before the test. She also responds to emails quickly.

Professor Simon is so kind and has a quirky sense of humor. The only major assignments that go into the grade book are the 4 exams and 4 discussion forums. Other than that the only homework is to keep up with the assigned reading chapters which I HIGHLY recommend doing because most of the exam material comes from the textbook. Offers 15 pts EC

I enjoyed Professor Simon's PSY101 class. I took the online class in Spring 2023 and was easy to understand. She would give a lot of extra credit and a couple of them were to attend workshops on campus which I enjoyed a lot. Learned a lot about psychology in general and it was a great introduction class that led me to choose psychology as a major.

Professor Simon makes the class engaging despite the heavy textbook load. The exams are challenging but the extra credit opportunities help. For study prep, I found unstuck ai and the free textbook to be really useful.
