Straight forward and pretty upbeat. She tells you what you need to do and gives you enough rope to hang youself.

She's very nice, extremely helpful, and funny. She clearly communicates her expectations and is a fair grader. The book-based exams are very easy and the speeches aren't too bad. I actually learned a lot about giving speeches.

Pretty straight forward. Go to class, understand the handout / assignments before you leave. Easy smeazy. She is pretty funny.

She is really nice and will help you with any questions you have. She doesn't give you much time to prepare for a speech but you a lot of choices when it comes to what you want to do. You do a lot of group activies during her discussions.

She's a good professor. She knows when you aren't trying hard and she doesn't like that. Attendance is mandatory. She is nice and funny but is a typical college professor. She isn't going to hold your hand through the assignments. But she will help if help is asked for or needed.

She is nice and always seems to be in a good mood. Her assignments are not hard if you follow them correctly. Overall, her class was pretty good.

She's a good teacher, just don't be a butt in her class and she will like you. She loves our class, we goof around on some days and do fun exercises for practice. She isn't a tough grader at all, she knows this is just intro level. Just have good posture and make great eye contact. A+. You'll do fine, I suggest her if you hate public speech.

I had Siwik for my discussion section. She grades honestly and fairly which often causes students to think she grades harshly. If you FOLLOW THE RUBRIC and include everything in your speech you have nothing to worry about! Also, she likes new/creative topics that are class appropriate. She is helpful if you ask for clarity.

Siwik was a very good prof. I thought she was very helpful and it's clear that she really enjoys this class. The class wasn't hard, if you show up and pay attention in class it will be really easy for you. Has some quizzes, which are easy if you study for them. The midterm is mostly all the quizzes together. Good prof, I would highly recommend her.

Though I did well in this class and it was easy for me, I also watched others struggle. If you take a class taught by Siwik, make sure you get on her good side right away. Be engaged with the material, class discussions and ask questions, show that you care you are there.

Angela was a great professor! She is experienced, organized, very kind, and provides clear and straightforward instructions. Attendance, participation, and effort are important to her, so go to class and turn in your projects on time. There are a variety of homework projects, but it is not overwhelming. I would highly recommend Angela Siwik.

Oh, her jokes crack me up! She's very straight forward on what she wants on her speeches. If you don't follow her rubric and outline, you'll be marked a decent amount of points off. She's amazing though! I'll def. take her again.

I would definitely recommend Angela Siwik for COMS 101. She's not an easy grader, but if you follow her rubric exactly, you'll do well. If you put in the work, do your best, and follow the rubric, you'll be just fine.

Siwik is always ready to help in any way she can. So long as you put in enough effort, you should have no problem passing this class.

All you have to do is follow what's on the rubric. She doesn't grade on if you're nervous, just if you met certain points on the rubric. She was very clear and available outside of class if you need help.

This class was very helpful with my public speaking. She was very specific with rubric, but made class fun. She has a funny sense of humor - I would take her again.

Im not going to lie, I was pretty intimidated by her on the first day of class; I almost dropped the class because I dreaded the speeches. However, it ended up being my favorite class this semester! Follow the rubric and you dont even have to be a good speaker. I always took my outline in during her office hours and she gave me tips. I loved her!

Professor Siwik was intimidating at first, but once you get to know her a little better shes really nice and she'll help you if you need it. Speeches are pretty relaxed and her requirements for them are clear. The online portion of this class is easy; read the chapter from the text and take short quizzes. She grades purely off rubrics so if your speech has every element needed from the rubric and you struggle and stutter thru it, doesnt matter, you still got an A. Easy class. There are quizzes outside of class that are very easy if you read the chapter and watch the video. Great prof and fun class.

Dr.Siwik can be a little blunt, but she is funny. Follow the rubric and you will get an A

She gave me some mixed signals but overall Angela is pretty good. She is very straightforward and doesn't sugarcoat anything. She gives decent feedback, but I feel like she can be picky at grading sometimes. Follow the guidelines and rubrics, actually practice, and you should be fine!

I took her online coms101. The class was balanced extremely well between lectures and speech requirements. She posts the rubrics for speeches way before they're due, so it's easy to get a good grade on them if you get all of the boxes checked. Easy to understand, and easy to get ahold of through email.

There were weekly readings, videos, and quizzes you had to do. She is a tough grader when it comes to speeches. She was accessible outside of class. Overall good teacher.

I would not recommend the online class. I had a friend who took it and hated it! Siwik was great in person and I did get a little more comfortable.

Do not miss you speech! She gets super annoyed and may not let you make it up.

She will not let you switch speech days but I requested in advance to make a change and she was ok with it. She takes attendance

She was a great teacher! My favorite so far all you have to do is show up and do well on your four speeches because that is the main grade.

I struggled a lot in speaking in front of my peers and professors, but after taking this class I became stronger and more confident in speaking and expressing my opinions throughout my college career. I appreciate Angela as a former professor as well as a mentor!

Very good professor, as I received an A in her course. She was funny and always a joy to have in her class. This is a speech class, so that is not a reason if you are not good at public speaking to bash this professor; she was great and made class enjoyable. I reccomend!

You work through the book online and do speeches in class. Rubrics for speeches are exactly what is expected.

She was very understanding when I had a family issue. She did let me make up my speech because I emailed her and went into her office. If you miss your speech and do not reach out you will fail her class.

Angela was GREAT! This class is boring because you just give speeches and listen to a bunch of speeches but I thought she was funny. She likes the students that talk and show to class. I missed a speech and she did let me make it up. You cannot pass the class if you do not do all the speeches.

In the online class I took the professor was very accommodating and was also very quick to respond to emails. Over all she provided me with a good and simple class experience.

Follow the rubric and you'll be fine. She is NOT mean or unkind. I would say curt and realistic is a better description. She is extremely helpful and has easy office hours. Go to class, participation matters. If you don't want to go to class take it online. Straightforward and easy grader.

Angela is an awesome professor. She is very engaged and knowledgeable in what she is teaching. She is easily accessible by email or after class. This class is the first and only speech class that I have taken and I have definitely learned a lot. Would 100% take another class with this prof if I had the chance.

Angela was my favorite professor I have had at UWRF. I only wished she taught more classes here. Speech class is scary but she made it so relatable. We did a demonstration speech and ate lots of great food and made crafts. Depends on who is in your class, but we had a super fun class. So recommend!

Angela is very positive and is a fashionista! There are 3 speeches but they are worth most of your grade. She provides good feedback but meeting with her to go through the rubric is a good idea because I could not read some of her comments. Going to take more of her classes!

Angela was helpful when I was dealing with some family stuff. We had to give a lot of speeches and she does not allow phones in class. She was chill but you need to follow her instructions or you will lose points.
