Dr. Tigner has been the best instructor i ever had. it was a 3 hour long class and she keeps you alive with her jokes. you will miss if u dont take her class. i recommend her to everyone.

Very Funny. Inspiring. Loved her class. She made us write four papers all four due on the day of the exam, but they were counted as an extra exam all together incase you needed to drop your lowest grade. I enjoyed writing the papers. Lifespan on Fridays. You must take her class! She's easy all you have to do is a vignette (one page paper) every week and one quiz. If you pay attention to what she says you'll be fine. I hate writing papers but I'm telling you, she makes class fun and interesting & she's just hilarious!!!

Dr. Tigner is amaizing full of energy and positive attitude. She is a fair but you must read to keep up with work. The test she gives are hard if you DONT read. alot of what she teaches in class is on test. She is my fav DR./proffesor in NCC.. If you really care about getting an A, I would recommend taking another professor. She offers 5 extra credit assignments (which are all basically 1-2 page essays) but it only replaces your lowest test grade. There were 5 exams. All of them are 50 questions. 1 was open book. The tests were very hard, especially if you have trouble reading textbooks.

Pay attention to her notes, read the textbook!!!!! Critiques are saviors!!! Pay attention to instructions for critiques!! She's an amazing professor. Very receptive to questions and does her best to help you pass. Taking her a few more times for other psychology courses.

Prof Tigner is SO funny! My favorite class I've taken at NCC. Notes are clear and everything she says is on the test (plus she goes over the entire test beforehand). You don't need the textbook ever, so don't get it. Sit in the front or she won't know who you are. Very relatable. Got to watch some movies relating to the class. 3 easy tests!

I took Professor Tigner over 3 years ago. To this day I always refer back to what i learned in her class. She left a lasting impact on my life. Professor Tigner is the reason why I chose Psychology as a minor and why I developed such a passion for psychology (abnormal to be specific.) She is an incredible teacher. TAKE HER! TAKE HER! She was the BEST teacher I've had at Nassau. She would always refer to her children when teaching and was so funny! I love the class and having her as a teacher made it even better! She is an easy grader, she never gives homework and you only have a few tests (which are easy). She is an amazing professor and if you have her, you are very lucky!

Dr. Tigner was an expcetional teacher. She knows the information and course forward and backwards. Before each test she reviews and tells you what the test contains. She loves questions and often goes off topic for long periods of time to anwer them. She hates lateness though. If you're late often she takes points away.

Proff Tigner is so awesome! She gives you plenty of chances to boost your grade up. I had very low test grades but got 10 on my paper. That's an A. Papers, extra credit and class projects help a lot. I suggest you take her class. She is so enthusiastic and kind. She's just a happy person who loves her job and what's you to succeed.

Her tests are not a breeze you definitely have to read from the textbook and go over notes. Her lectures are great, she gets very into it and will answer all the questions. She is definitely a fun professor, you won't be bored you just have to make sure you definitely study for each exam

Prof. Tigner has honestly been one have the greatest professors I've ever met. She definitely knows her stuff and has enough experience that she has great examples to compare to whatever topic we're on. Her tests are pretty okay. You do need to make sure you read the textbook, unless you take good notes. I definitely recommend her for anyone.

Dr. Tigner as always is amazing. Take lifespan with her and you won't regret it. One day a week and assignments are easy and even easier if you read the chapters assigned. No tests just quizzes which are 90% take home. Always be EXTRA on writing assignments and you're gold. She appreciates it! Funny professor, don't be late and be respectful!

She is a amazing teacher. She's hilarious. She keeps the class entertained the whole hour and 15 mins. There are 4 tests. You do have to get the textbook tho because the tests are from the company that made the textbook. You'll have fun in that class and you'll love her. Wish I can take her again

Dr. Tigner is inspirational, and an amazing teacher. Taken her for 201, 203, and now 220 and if I weren't graduating I'd take her for more psych classes. Read the textbook, take notes (even random things she may add), she gives extra credit quizzes too. She makes her class a family in a way, and she's more caring than any other prof I've ever had.

Professor Tigner is really awesome. She always reviews for the exams and gives quizzes that go towards extra credit points. She's always encouraging participation and she makes the lectures very engaging. She's strict on phones so don't use it during class.

Dr. Tigner is really awesome. Took her class for Psychology (LifeSpan) and she was amazing. She is very clear on her vignettes (papers) and all her quizzes are take home. For your vignettes be specific, includes details and share your experiences. This will make it more fun for you to write them and get your 10 on them. Take good notes, it helps.

It's a hard class but having her as my professor made it easier. She knows how to explain something to you until it sinks in. Plus she's very knowledgeable. In my notes I'd have a "fun facts" section, you learn about brain & behavior and so much more. She's also very energetic so you won't fall asleep during her lecture.

Going into psych because of her. Makes neuro-psy seem fairly easy. Take her class, participate, study for tests and read the text ahead of time! Work varies but she does do takehome exams/quizzes every so often. If there's an issue about ANYTHING talk to her! I'd have gotten a better grade but I had personal stuff, she makes getting an A VERY easy!

She is awesome. You're missing out if you do not take her. Take home quiz every week, super easy. Class discussions and 3/4 movies. Harder to not get an A than it is to get one. Funny, young and hot. Hates cell phone use in class. Respect her and she'll respect you back. Great class, boost GPA.

Prof tigner is hands down the best prof ive ever had. She is very energetic and makes the class interesting. I never found myself dozing off in her class. She gives alot of opportunities to raise your grade, and she wants all her students to be successful in her class. Just dont be on your phone during her lectures, pay attention and youll pass.

Dr. Tigner is a very nice professor. she mostly goes into detail on everything but if she doesn't she'll tell you to read up on it on your own to ensure you know the material for the test. also very funny lady. don't skip class too much and punctuality is key.

Where do I start? She is funny and amazing! Her class should be a prereq for all majors. What I learned in her class were jewels I will take through life! The lectures were easy going and interactive. Her syllabus was clear. No surprises. She prepares you for tests. You will work and earn that A, but walk away with so much more than just credits.

Great Professor, I had her in Fall 2019. She is fair and gives you the opportunity to get a good grade so if you do not you must be lazy. Not a ton of homework. She tells you what she expects and all you have to do is follow. Lectures are very interactive and she will make sure you understand the lesson. She is very cool and down to earth.

Dr. Tigner is by far the best professor i have taken at NCC i took her online she wants all of her students pass. she is an amazing professor and a genuine person overall. she helps you out if you have a problem and she genuinely cares about each and everyone of her students. she goes over whats going to be on tests before hand which helps a lot.

If she was my professor for every course id pass everything. She has a way of explaining things and it sticks with you. I'm a visual learner and she delivered. She also doesn't make you want to fall asleep if anything her class was fun and we were all sad the last day of class. We all enjoyed her class! Take her class you won't regret it.

She's a great professor and explains each topic thoroughly during lectures. She does give a decent amount of homework each week and thoroughly grades them , then averages the homework to replace a test grade so make sure you do them. But she's very nice and insightful. Definitely recommend taking her class.

She is a great Professor. It will be your fault if you do not pass because she is not difficult. Just come to class, read, and participate and communicate with her during her office hours if you have any questions.

Class was remote (thx Covid). Video Zoom is mandatory w/Powerpoint & doesn't give access to the notes until ch. is done. Class got sidetracked a lot, didn't finish 4-5 ch's before exams, but she is funny w/stories. Dr. Tigner gives SO many chances to boost up grades. 5 exams w/extra credit q's, lowest 1 replaced with overall HW grade so do them!

Dr. Tigner was absolutely amazing! Recommend her class 10/10, she truly cares about her students and she explains the syllabus very clearly and what you are expecting throughout the semester. There are 5 exams (the lowest gets dropped) just take notes and reread the power points and you will pass! Just make sure you are not tardy, she HATES that!

One of the BEST teachers 10/10!! TAKE HER u won't regret it, she explains the syllabus very clearly and what you are expecting throughout the semester. All the answers to the quizzes and tests are in the Online textbook, everything was pretty straightforward. I wouldn't mind taking another class. It was quite enjoyable and insightful

Dr. Tigner was a great professor. There was about 5 tests and homework assignments all semester, but take your time and try! The homework is graded and the average will replace your lowest test grade. She is super laid back and will often get straight to the point of the lecture and not hold you in class any longer. LOVED HER.

Dr. Tigner is a fantastic teacher. She thoroughly explains the material so you're not confused. Homework doesn't count for the final grade but it is graded. Be sure to be as specific as possible when doing the homework. Just make sure to take notes and reread the powerpoints when studying and you'll be golden. 10/10 would take again!

she is very straight forward. she is strict about assignments when they are do she serious when she needs to and funny. she's always answering questions 10/10 her exams are open book but don't let that fool you its good to review the material cause you'll be fascinated with what's being taught
