I took her for an online class this summer and I learned more than I could have ever imagined. She makes online classes fun and interesting. I loved how you could take quizes unlimited times and the tests were semi easy as long as you actually read the book. Definatly wish I could take her again!!!! A++++ teacher

I was a student in her online class. She is a fair teacher, and you have 2 weeks to complete material for one chapter. Definitely manageable. I'd say she's a fair grader as well. I do suggest her!

She is a great teacher. Best class me and my friend have ever had. Pretty much explains things clearly and will always keep explaining if things are not understood. Fair in grading. Makes the class kind of fun!

I took her online course and it was pretty straightforward and easy material. As long as you do your work, you should have no problem. My only complaint was that she didn't indicate to complete the discussion questions within the first week of the module. Other than that it was a great course.

I have taken her 2 times now, online & in the classroom. Her class is fun & fair. she puts her quizes & exams on blackboard so we have more class time to talk. Each chapter you have the same assigments due like a quiz, exam, questions, & an activity so you know what to expect. I like that & that she sticks to the syllabus. overall very fair!

I thought she was great, it surprises me to hear that some people didn't like her but after taking her class its probablly the ones always showing up late or missing class. she's nice but she doesn't let you make up anything if your not there!

Took the class online, she gives 2 weeks for each chapter and has 1 quiz, 1 timed exam, and discussions over 2 weeks. i thought it was interesting and she gives you a fair amount of time to due the assignments. Would recommend her, do your work and read the chapters, easy A.

I had her for Psych 111 and 112 and she is AMAZING. I took the 111 in class where the tests were really easy going and the online is awesome. She is one of my favorite teachers. Easy A if you do the work

Prof. Tiru is an excellent instructor. I took her online General Psychology course & I am very happy I did so. As others have mentioned, she gives you two weeks to complete the work, but I managed to get all the work (4 discussions, a quiz, exam and "big question") done in the first week. Overall a great teacher and I would recommend this course!

Really easy. Just show up cause she has little class activities that she counts. Gives tons of extra credit.

Had her both in-class & then on-line (for 201). She uses the books & power point. Study and you will do fine. It's not a hard class, but not an "easy" A either. You do have quizzes, tests and a paper to do. Do the work & you'll be fine.

Great class, Professor Tiru is very sweet! She is clear about the work she expects, and sticks to the syllabus. She is fair and gives enough time for assignment completion. I would definitely take a class with her again! :)

I liked her as a person but take the class online if you need the credit she is an online style class. All powerpoint etc. It wasnt an interesting class and the class was bored to tears half the time because she teaches in powerpoint format. Take it online - she is nice and everything but the class wasnt as interesting as a psych class should be.

Excellent professor! I took her for online life span class. She was such a great help and professionalism! Very nice explained the concept in her power points. And she knows exactly her stuff. All of them should be like her!I am grateful for I had one of the best professors at NVCC.

Mrs. Tiru was an absolute joy from day one. She obviously wants to see her students succeed, but not just skate by. She also adds incentive strive for A's, because if you Ace all 3 of her tests, she lets you SKIP THE FINAL EXAM! (yes, that needed caps-lock). Easily one of the best teachers I have ever had.

Mrs Tiru, make Psychology H111 class is fun, she has a great sense of humor. She is easy going, very helpful. She gives you enough time to complete online assignments via launchpad. There's no midterm, no final test, a few writing assignments, and a final presentation. She's very helpful with all that ask for help.

At first her classes were boring and I felt like I wasn't learning anything but as you go further the lessons are a lot more interesting. It's an easy going class. She doesn't give tests, just one major essay and presentation.

Took life span development as a hybrid class, meeting once a week and modules (a quiz, long answer question and test) biweekly. If you read the textbook you will do well on the modules. There was a final project that was very easy to accomplish in the time given and Ms. Tiru is a very appraochable, kind person so you have nothing to worry about.

She was straight forward with what she expected. Class was intersting. Alot of class discussions. Overall a good experience.

Excellent course

Tiru is an awesome Professor. She does a lot of class discussions and each chapter does an activity to earn points toward your grade. Her power points really help to break the concepts down and she does a lot of different methods to help with learning. Her final is an APA paper with a presentation and she doesn't do test. I really enjoyed this course, and I felt as if I learned a lot from it. Professor Tiru is very understanding, and she wants all to succeed. The coursework is straightforward and to the point. Just make sure to do all Launchpad and all group assignments. This will ensure a great grade in the class.

Professor Tiru is a wonderful professor. She makes this class very doable and very easy to get an A. You need to do all the homework to pass, but if you follow the instructions, it is very easy. There is a research paper at the end of the semester that she allows you the entire semester to complete. She is a very kind and helpful teacher.

Professor Angela class is not hard. She is very nice respected professor. All she ask is do H.W online and have your paper and your presentation for the semester.

Wonderful, caring professor that makes you enjoy being in class. Uses group work and class participation often so attendance is important. Clearly lists what is expected in her class to get an A and offers extra credit. Read, do your homework and participate in class! No difficult exams.

Want an A? Take this class. Second time taking her & I got an A both times. I took her in class one semester and it was honestly a little more difficult than her online class, but still extremely easy. The onlie class was a breeze.

This professor gives great constructive criticism on your work. She tells you what went well and where you can improve for the future. The class participates through presented questions or simple activities. The lectures are clear enough to understand, and are backed with visuals 80% of the time for a better learning experience.

Professor Tiru is a great professor teaching Psychology 111. She demonstrates the ways of the mind by using visuals on PowerPoint. I had no issues with working with the assignments that were given on LaunchPad. They are easy to do and fun to learn. There are no tests given to us in class but we do small activities. The final is an APA paper & PP.

Prof Tiru is one of the kindest instructors I have had. She grades mostly though the homework on launchpad (homework). It was probably one of the easiest things I have ever done. Then you do a verbal presentation and a paper at the end of the semester. Super easy . As long as you try you cannot fail.

She is a professor that is understanding as long as you do all of your homework on time and show up to class on time and never miss an assignment and when you are in class make sure you participate and takes notes as long as you do that you are guaranteed to pass the class with a good grade she does care about her students succeeding in the end.

Made the content understandable and is extremely reasonable, I miss her but have no classes I can take in my major that she teaches.

The text book is not needed but the online access code is. Really easy going professor that is caring and understand her students. She reviews the material pretty well.

the online homeworks are long and boring, need the textbook to get the code. homework's aren't a lot but they represent 50% o your grade and it is hard to see all of the things that are due

The class was quite nice. The professor was thorough with her lectures, and she is very attentive to any concerns that her students may have. If there is at least one thing to consider, it should be that if you're having trouble with comprehending the course material or with the assignments, don't hesitate to ask for assistance.

I really enjoyed taking my psych courses with Professor Tiru. She is very clear and concise in what she expects out of her assignments. Sometimes she is a little delayed in her grading, but she continually uploads grades throughout the semester, so there are no real surprises. I had no issues getting an A and took her again the following semester.

She is probably one of the sweetest teachers you will meet at this school. You can tell she loves her job and it is very easy to be focused in her class. Everything she does is engaging. She give time in class to do projects. The only complaint is that the final is a ten page paper but she gave us almost a month.

Took this professor this semester as an online course. I was afraid, being my first online course but I had nothing to worry about. As long as you read the content, submit your assignments on time, & actually put effort in, it will be a breeze. I will say, she doesn't respond via email which isn't the best but overall a great experience.

Such a great teacher. Really likes what she does and has leniency with homework/projects. You will have to be in groups at times but not move around meaning your group will just be the people around you. There's a textbook that's online and free but not extremely important. You won't be lost if you didn't read a chapter or two. She's also funny lol

Professor Tiru was great. Her lectures were very engaging because she always presented the information in an interesting or relatable way. Even though I took her class in-person, there were still occasional online assignments. Make sure you are keeping up with them as they are not always mentioned in class. I would still highly recommend.

Took intro & now Lifespan online w/her. She teaches these 2 courses differently. Intro was engaging and class was fun. Lifespan is very independent and online. A work at your own pace kind of class. It worked for me because I now I am working more and the flexibilty is needed. Overall I think this lifespan class was oganized and would recommend.

Professor Tiru's class is engaging and interactive. While some assignments can be unclear, she is understanding and attentive to student needs. unstuckstudy proved a helpful study tool alongside the textbook.

This course had several essays required but the material was interesting. no multiple choice. This was an online class and was organized and independent so it worked for my work life.
