She is a terrible teacher. Avoid class with her if possible. She does not care if her students succeed, she almost never replies to emails and she takes forever to grade tests. We did not get back 2 out of 5 exams until we walked in to take the final. If you do take her class make sure to do your homework. Homework is worth 20%.

Avoid her at all costs. She never answers emails, is useless in office hours, and doesn't write her own tests. She goes way too fast in class and refuses to slow down. She's lazy and doesn't give tests back in time. She provides no extra practice problems and you teach yourself everything. Do the homework.

Taking Mat 111 for a 5 week summer class with this teacher was a huge mistake on my part. I honestly feel cheated in my education due to her style of "teaching" if you want to call it that. She will post some notes and a power point and she reads and points. Example in the power point? Good luck getting her to work to help you understand it. BEWARE

Youtube is a better teacher, literally no point in going to class because she teaches directly from PowerPoint

I took this class as a hybrid course which means most of it was online but some was in class. This professor gave a phony practice test that was nothing like the real test. She never tells you what will be on the test even though theres SO MUCH to study for that youll try to jam it all in and learn it all which is almost impossible. Dont take!

Do not, I repeat do NOT take her for calculus unless you have a good understanding of the material already. She will walk into class everyday and just copy problems out of the textbook to work on. Tests are super lengthy and ridiculously difficult. Try to avoid if possible. Only upside is that she gives infinite tries on the online homework.

Just the worst. At the beginning of the semester I received an email from her saying that most of us would be failing the class and that she suggests we take other courses.

I took MAT 111 online with her and she was awful. She took days to answer emails and kept moving due dates without telling us, making it hard to plan ahead. The amount of homework we had was crazy and was more busywork than helpful. I came into this class pretty confident but that confidence left QUICKLY. ( I took this class online Summer 2019)

Going to the class was pointless because she did not teach, she would put up problems and expect you to know how to solve them. If you ask for her to explain how to do it she stands in front of it and works it out without telling you what she did.

If you did not do good in calculus in high school then this class will be extremely difficult for you. The test were ridiculously hard, and crazy amounts of homework which really does not help that much.

The worst professor I have ever had. She was late to class EVERY SINGLE DAY, everytime with a new excuse. Takes FOREVER to grade things, and constantly changed the syllabus. She is very rude, both in person and online. She makes the tests so much harder than anything you do in class. Take literally anyone else, your grade will thank you.

I had her for MAT 137. It was way too hard to keep up with her because all she does it go through everything too fast and gets mad when you ask questions and treats you like your stupid if you dont understand. Shes a VERY smart lady; however, she is not a good teacher when it comes to calculus. This class was a waste of my time.

When we went to online classes she took 3 weeks to grade our 1st test - we had already taken our 2nd test before she had put in the grade for the 1st and she didn't even show us what our mistakes were on our problems so I have no clue what questions I got wrong and what I need to practice?!? Definitely take someone else!!!

good luck if you have her online, she pretty much just posts homework for you to figure out on your own. she's not a teacher as much as a moderator. she took forever to enter in grades for tests and more than once she posted stuff for one class and forgot to post it for the other. She does not teach. She refuses to talk about what will be on the test, the problems are nothing like the homework. Takes forever to grade tests. Final is due tomorrow and I still have 2 tests that haven't been graded. She uses internet issues as an excuse for everything.

I had Angela Ward for MAT137. I believe she knows her stuff, but isn't the best at teaching it. This past semester I had her and I did not believe in any way I was receiving an education that I expected to receive from tri-county. I was in quarantine for three weeks and received 0 help from her so expect the same.

Just finished mat138 with Mrs ward and let me tell you when I saw the class exam average across our 7 exams was a 47, I was not joking. She dropped an exam and our final replaced another exam so I barely passed, but can't find anyone else who did. Really need to look into another option because she's the only one to teach this class.

Worst professor of all time. My class's average on tests alone was a 47. I failed her class by 0.3 points. No curve and zero heads up about if whether people should drop or fight through it. First part of the course was barely taught online and then all tests were in person. Nobody learned and most of the class failed. Tests were not like practice.

Get ready to grind if you take this class. Crazy amount of homework and difficult tests. And I have taken this class before. So just beware.

Talked to the head of department by how bad our exams average was but Ofcourse nothing gets changed because she is high enough in the math department and the only one to teach this class. Mrs. Ward is kind, but she's also the most unhelpful teacher I've ever had. She doesn't teach very well at all, and her tests are so much harder than the practice problems, quizzes, and homework she gives us. I've never felt so stupid in my life since I've taken this class and I would not recommend her as a teacher at all to anyone at Tri-County.

During lectures, she would go very fast and only do 1-3 examples of the topic we are learning, and they'd be super easy. Then on tests, she gives the most difficult problems on each topic. Some pop quizzes. Very boring lectures. A ton of homework. Feel like I learned nothing in the class overall.

I've taken this class three times (Been to three different schools and this class wouldn't transfer) and Ms Ward is by far the worst of all the teachers to teach this class. Is super disrespectful and impossible to reach. Uses new excuses every time. Tests are much harder than the actual homework. Doesn't care about you or you passing.

The epitome of what not to be as a teacher. I think the rest of the reviews sum it up, but she can do so much better.. anything is better. I do not get why she is not searching for ways to improve teaching, because I get it Calculus is hard, but make it more interactive. I can't learn the way she teaches.

If you are planning to take a online summer class with her, DO NOT TAKE IT. She was by far the worst Professor I've had at TCTC. Her lectures confused me and she would often leave the hardest problems for us to try and not go over them. When I had questions about the content or test she would rarely respond. She left 5 of my emails UNANSWERED.

Okay, I just know she wrote fake reviews about herself or paid someone to because the mysterious 5 star reviews sound so fake. Do not take this woman. I took her in the past and the dept does nothing about her because shes all they have.

AVOID THIS TEACHER!! Idk why she is not fired yet, I have been a straightA student in math all of my life, and I managed a C because I paid to meet with an outside tutor 3x a week. She does not care about her students; she laughed when the whole class failed an exam. I never rate my professors, but I had to on this one.

This teacher was not good. She gave a curve on the first 2 tests, but then wouldn't curve the highest grade to 100 on the other tests. The online homework wasn't too difficult and there was 10% extra credit for every problem completed 48 hours early. Some of the tests were NOTHING like the info that we learned in class.

She is absolutely awful! She explains important concepts once and expects you to immediately memorize their formula and use. Going to her classes are pointless, you'd be better off learning calculus from Khan Academy! Don't waste your money!!!

I've been in a new Trig class with a new teacher for roughly 4.5 weeks now and I can confidently say that after those 4.5 weeks I could likely teach someone Unit 1 better than Professor Ward. She just throws abstract concepts on the board with little to no explanation and expects whatever background knowledge you have to be sufficient enough.

Horrible professor. She is not good at teaching and you basically have to learn yourself. It is hard to juggle the amount of work assigned on MyLab Math along with other courses. Hard grader and never understands why the whole class does bad on tests. I spend so much time doing work for this class only to be barely passing.

If I could give this professor zero stars, I would. Easily one of the worst teachers I've ever had. She is extraordinarily unhelpful, making you feel dumb anytime you ask a question instead of actually explaining the material. Her lectures are confusing, and when you try to get clarification, shes act as if you should already know everything.

The worst math teacher I've had.She's rude and gets an attitude with her students.Her lectures are not helpful and confused me more than if I just learn the material on my own.I rigourously study the test review guides,and the tests are always significantly harder.The tests are extremely long,with an impossible amount of time given to complete.

Professor Ward is arguably the worst professor AND teacher I have had in my entire life. She reads off a PowerPoint, assigns way too much homework, and frankly, is quite rude. She takes forever to grade and gives rarely enough time to study for tests. I would urge you to take any other professor, because your GPA WILL tank if you take her class.

The worst professor I have ever had. She spends more time talking about what you will need in Calc 2 and 3 than she does teaching. She runs through the problems too quickly and doesn't give time to understand them. She rushes through problems at the end of class when time is running out, then messes it up, and doesn't go back and fix it.

She takes forever to grade tests and does not even put the pop quizzes and the other graded work in the grade book until the very last minute. She is sometimes flippant with her answers in class and just does things without a ton of explanation as to why. If you take your exams somewhere else, be aware that you may not get your graded work back.

I would not take this class with her. She only writes on the board and does not explain a single thing. She assumes that you already know what you are doing. Her quizzes are very hard and so are the test. There is so much homework that doesn't even relate to the information on the test.

Please switch out when you can. Genuinely you need to teach yourself when taking this class. Most students fail and it's not because of the material. I am regretting taking this.

You will not know your grade until halfway through the year. The only way people are able to pass her class is because she gave 2 online exams and 2 in-person, with the final replacing your lowest test score, so expect 2 awful tests and then 2 online tests to even your grade out also, she is lazy and forgets to assign homework so it stacks up
