Ms. Lambert is an awesome teacher, her goal is to educate students in math and she does it in a way that is helpful, very clear and interesting. If her students need help she will always go over math concepts. She lets you drop one quiz and one test. She also reviews over test material before the test so you know what to prepare for!
Great teacher that takes the time to ensure students fully understand the subject. I wish she could teach all my math classes!
Very helpful and cool teacher. She goes over sample tests before every test to ensure each student understands the section completely. Very nice classroom attitude too. I wish she taught more classes at SCC
What a nice professor! I recommend you to add her class.
This was a rough class for me though I struggle with math in general. Algebra will come back to haunt you! Ms. Lambert is very nice and helpful. She tries hard to help you understand the topic & has a great personality. Only con is sometimes she went a little too fast and I was too busy trying to copy down the notes/example to absorb the info.
This is one of the worlds best math teachers every.. no joke i am horrid in math i have a digit processing learning dissab and she worked with me so much to help me pass this class she totally rocks!!!!
great teacher. friendly, accessible, lots of examples and excellent test review. she seems to really care about teaching. tells cute antecdotes. highly recommended. would've gotten an A if i'd done more homework.
I hated math and was not looking forward to taking it. Ms Lambert turned that around. You definatly have to work, so if you're looking for an easy A, look elsewhere. If you want to understand what you're actually doing though, you'll love her.
Angelena is a great teacher. Thorougly goes over the material & is extremely helpful. Taking her class made me understand trig concepts and strategems, & I'm terrible in math. I highly recommend her.
Ms. Lambert is an outstanding example of a math teacher who gives students who know nothing about math a chance to actually pass an algebra test. She's patient, VERY thorough, and I would recommend her to anyone who doesn't see the point in knowing algebra- but knows they need it to graduate. She makes it worthwhile, I promise.

Professor Lambert is an awesome teacher that cares about her students. Her methods of teaching are some that I have never experienced before (in a good way).
I took her for summer 2007 Math120. I recommend her to anyone who really wants to understand the concepts of Math. She grades fairly and is very helpful. She is the perfect example of how a math teacher should teach. Not recommended for people just trying to breeze by.
Mrs. Lambert is one of the BEST math teachers at city. I have taken 2 other ones and they sucked!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND her! she really explains the subject and really helps you understand. She has quizzes usually every week that are fair. and hw every week. The tests are a little hard but if you pay attention you should do fine!
best math teacher there probably is at city college. interesting class and really into the subject
HER CLASSES GO REALLY FAST..
Shes a no BS teacher, but go to class and study the homework. Its not an easy A but thats the nature of math. She is more than willing to help you out and builds in extra credit into her tests. I'd would definately take her again.
Lambert is the best teacher you could possibly take. She is very helpfully in her office hrs & she knows how to teach. Just DO YOUR HW or else its hard to get an A. study the lisit of questions she gives u before each test, she gives 4 test and if you study then there not too bad. Just study as you go along don't put everything off until the end
Very good professor. She expects her students to be there everyday n learn. There is always something new to learn everyday. If u miss out a day it's like falling back a whole grade. Do all hw..not kidding..very important..study..study..do well on the quizzes..it well affect ur grade.
She must be a good teacher almost one of the best as scc if i had her for 3 semesters in row. she is more than willing to help her students. She gives you guide/review for what you'll be expected to know on the test. She's not an easy A. You must study and study hard. If you aren't sure how to do a problem you can e-mail her and she gets back to y
She is extremely helpful. One thing amazing about her is that you can see the passion she has for Math. I know it sounds weird, but you'll understand when you see it. She seems fast paced, lectures sometimes take the whole class time, but if you stick with it, you'll be fine. If you want to actually learn the material, this is the teacher to have.
Ms. Lambert is helpful. She is fast paced but most of the sections in the book were review. she will include transformations of base graphs...which at first was confusing but you will comprehend especialy if you attend her extra sessions out of your weekends. it helped me a lot. she is a hard grader, you will get back the effort you put in your gr
Great teacher but tests are HARD! Do your homework!! Honestly, I rather take Sellers or Phillips than her. No notes on test. You have to remember the 25 or so equations and fuctions. Take phillips he'll let you use one page notes
My favorite teacher, very organized and clear on the subject;however, this isn?t an easy class for everyone, so make sure you do the homework. One more thing that I like about her is she can answer all the strange questions about Math. Take her if you?re ready for a challenge. I wish to take her class again, but she?s not teaching pre-calculus & up
Until this semester, she was the only college Math teacher I had. I didn't appreciate her while I had her (barely got a C in 100 and a D in 120), but now that I'm taking the same class with a different teacher, I miss her. She moves very quickly, assigns a lot of homework, but is very clear and thorough.
I LOVE THIS TEACHER SO MUCH, she's just so cool and awesome, she's a great person, excellent teacher, she explains crystal clear on topics and if you don't get something the first time just raise your hand and she'll reexplain it in class or during office hours. I am a MATH MAJOR because of this wonderful woman. take her, she is PHENOMENAL!!!!!!!!!
EASY! I hardly show up for this class...maybe 2 times every 2 weeks I will attend class. I still complete all the work and it's very easy to pass the tests if you have studied. Since this class is based on how many hours you have and completion of work you can easily skip class. JUST DO YOUR WORK. Self paced math is EASY!
I really liked her. She was very clear about what she expected and you could really tell she cared about the students. She cuts you a break on the exams by offering maybe 115 possible points but only grades you out of 100. It's really hard subject matter, but I think she does a good job teaching it.
Very good, nice, and helpful. Very clear and gives you good notes. Highly recommend her.
She's a cool person. She's passionate of what she does. Said this. If math is not your strong do not take trig with her. I had to withdraw the class because I somewhat happened to be stressed with her way of teaching. If you struggle with math, and have to take trig, take it with another slow pace teacher.
Good luck!
She is a very nice person, and her lectures are VERY clear & easy to understand. HOWEVER, she gives out TONS of homework; about 100 problems out of text per week. She purposely makes the quizzes & tests as tough as possible. Take this class only if you're good at math! She is TOUGH!
Do NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT TAKE THIS TEACHER FOR BUS.MATH. NOT ONLY IS SHE A HORRIBLE INSTRUCTOR BUT SHE EXTEMELY RUDE TOWARD HER STUDENTS. SHE IS NOT HELPFUL WHATSOEVER. WHEN I DROPPED THIS CLASS, THERE WERE ONLY 9 EPOPLE LEFT OUT OF 30. DO YOU SELF A FAVOR AND DO NOT TAKE THIS TEACHER!!!!
Take this class if you want your textbook read out loud without interpretation whatsoever. Lambert knows her stuff, but fails horribly at explaining it. She writes on the board from her notes, which are almost exact copies of the book. She has never taught Calculus before and it shows. Good mathematician, TERRIBLE teacher. Extreme Homework. Avoid!!
The guy under me doesn't know anything, Lambert has taught calculus more than five times, just her 1st time at sac city. She has great methods for solving problems, she is a great teacher, very helpful and nice. Just do the work and ask questions in her office hours, she wants students to pass. Making an effort and asking Q's in her class=success
Lamberts biggest problem is her inability to properly prepare students for exams. The material is covered, its just the examples in class are so basic, and in no way reflective of what she "expects" you to know come exam time. Be sure to do ALL problems, not just the ones she assigns, or you will not be prepared for exams.
Very well organized but a tough, fast-paced class. If you do the massive amounts of homework and attend every class (you won't pass a quiz or test otherwise) you will definitely learn the material. Lambert knows her stuff and is more than happy to help if you ask. Take advantage of her Saturday pre-test study groups; it's a well-spent two hours.
Lambert is a terrible teacher when it comes to explaining any concept regarding any subject. I have taken many math classes where teachers provide useful techniques to help students. This teacher does not! If you want definitions read to you out loud all semester long, then take this class. Otherwise, AVOIDDDD LAMBERT!!!
I love Prof Lambert. You will need to work in class to get a decent grade. There is weekly homework, weekly quizes and 4 test. The lowest quiz and test scores are thrown out. E-mail her and talking to her and she will help. She even will call you to work problems out over the phone. Ask about study groups! She will give them but students must ask!
Lambert is a very nice teacher, she's helpful only if you ask her question. she gives hw everyweek, which can force us to work =]. i like to be in her class but the truth is her test is way too hard!!those E.C. couldn't help me much..sigh..if u're not a genius, then you need to put 100% effort to get a A. i only put 93% so i got an B.unfortunately.
Lambert is ana awesome teacher. I hate math with the passion but she really helped me understand and broke it down. Shes a sweetheart for sure. I highly recommend Lambert. I have Joseph Steever as a teacher now and its just not happening. I miss her!
she is one of the best math teachers on campus. The methods and techniques which I've learned from her class, I still use today in my current math classes. her exams are very tough, however she is very lenient on grading them. explains everything VERY clearly. I've never really understood the concepts & theories in algebra until I took her class.
very organized and friendly. just do the homework and you'll do fine.
Prof. Lambert is an excellent math teacher and mathematician. Her lectures are thorough, as she expects you to develop a real understanding of the course material. While, as somebody commented, it is true she covers the definitions from the book... but she explains them in plain English and makes them easy to "get".
This professor is GREAT!!! She's is really good at what she does and she is extremely patient and is willing to take extra time to explain everything. I absolutely LOVED her class! She's just an incredible instructor. I enjoyed her class so much, in fact, I am now a math major! If you have her as an option, take her class!
i like Lambert a lot!! her way of teaching really good..i never like math but when i had her class it really helpful..i understand a lot..she's really nice and very helpful!
She is the best math instructor I ever had... she explains everything. I never liked math but after her class i am ready for the next level... PS easy A if you do the work and
I HATE MATH! After my semester with this teacher I've regained my math confidence. I even find myself doing math (for fun!) now! She's very clear and takes the time to answer questions if you take the time to ask them. Do the work show up and pay attention and you'll do fine.
Hands down one of the BEST professors I've ever had. Don't waste her time and she won't waste yours. Holds outside study sessions on her own time. There's no excuse for not doing well in her class because she is more than willing to help. If you get the chance definitely take her, I'm so sad she's not teaching trig because she's the best.
She is a very hopeful teacher. She is very clear when she is lecturing and helps you alot. I like the way she teaches. I took her for 2 semesters and I would have loved to taken her again but she wasn't teaching the math that i was going into. I definetly reccommend her.
Best math teacher I ever had! Although her class isn't easy, you can pass it even if you are horrible at math like me. make sure you do the homework, attend class take the notes, and if you struggle with math she has no problem helping you during office hours, she even provides study groups on her own time! No other techer has ever done that.
The best thing about her was her willingness to help! I loved that she held study sessions on the weekends and sometimes before a test, so helpful! Too much homework though...
Great teacher. Very approachable and willing to help students. Bumps you up to a higher grade if you're close to it. Doesn't allow notes but do allow a calc on tests. Allowed a do-over of the midterm.
This is not an EZ class, but if ur serious about learning math, then take her! Her lectures are crystal clear, much clearer than any other math teachers'. However, although she's a great instructor, her class is unnecessarily difficult: Ridiculous amount of HW, in addition to INSANELY tough projects and exams will intimidate any non-math major.
LOVE her. she is a great teacher who loves her job. she loves math and loves helping her students. she gives up her own time to help you and hold study sessions on a weekend day foe the whole class. i would recommend her.
the class is hard, but not THAT hard. in the beginning of semester, it goes REALLY fast, so there's a lot of work, but it gets much easier as semester progresses & everything slows down. Angelena is very lenient with her grading, and willing to help students who need it. Overall, her stats class is less demanding than most stats classes.
She is fabulous! I loved her because she is so sacrificial with her time and she truly cares about whether her students succeed.
Professor Lambert is a great Professor. She is the reason I have decided to change my major to Math. although I started in Basic Math, I am well on my way to becoming a great Math Teacher. I thank Professor Lambert for her dedication to her students.
Angelina is by far the best math teacher, she writes alot of notes for each section in chapters. The best advice I can give is write every word down that she writes down. It is VERY effective!! Also do all of your homework. It may only be worth 5 points but this is the material that will make you pass your tests with rewarding grades! Trust me!!
Professor Lambert is a great teacher. I had her for two semester's. I had her for math 28 and 34. She knows her math, and is willing to take the extra time to help her students understand. I learned a lot from her these past two semester's. I am proud to be moving into math100, but a little sad I will know longer be her student.Great Professor!!
Super nice. Very helpful! Love her!
She is awesome! I never liked math... ever, but when I signed up for her class I knew she was going to be a good teacher. I have an 88 in the class right now and this is my third time taking the class. Highly recommended. *thumbs up*
Favorite teacher hands down. She truly cares for every single one of her students, and wants everyone to succeed. Very smart, sweet, humble, easygoing, and patient (I've also NEVER seen her get angry). Tests aren't too hard, but if the class (as a whole) bombs one, she offers some EC to make it up. Hard to fail her class. I wish she taught 401+! :(
Professor Lambert is a great professor. She truly cares about her student: offers to come to school over the weekend to review before the test. Tests were a little difficult but she will tell you exactly what she will put on the test, so there is no surprises. It up to the student how they prepare themselves for the test. Overall, GO PRO. LAMBERT!!
Great professor, I highly recommend her. She's generous with partial credit, drops your lowest quiz and test scores, and even offers an extra credit opportunity. The best part is she's extremely helpful and holds study sessions before exams, which can be a life saver. She even baked cookies for our final study session!
Prof Lambert is freakin awesome!!! The tests aren't extremely hard, but they aren't easy either. She sets up study sessions and is always willing to help. She's also hilarious and her cookies are delicious!!!!
Professor Lambert is amazing! She's clear and to the point, and makes herself available for extra help during her office hours. She will work with you until you understand the material. I'm absolutely terrible at math, but because of her I passed.
Very nice professor, drops 1 exam and quiz but very tricky though. grades homework too. Very lenient on grading but could not follow anything in lecture. Office hours a must! If you're a student who wants to learn take her! A is possible
Extremely fair instructor. Tests and quizzes are easy and straight forward if you study a little bit and go to lecture. Drops your lowest test score, and tells you what's going to be on the test /quiz (and even the final). Homework due once per week every week. Very helpful, nice, and listens to what the class wants.
Professor Lambert may be the best math teacher I've ever had. She's very clear in her lectures and makes sure the material is clear before the class moves along. She will also bend over backwards for her students, she was my last class at SCC and she made sure I got out of there. She's great.
If you like math, even a little bit--after her classes you will LOVE it. During her lectures in a classroom silence reigns and working enviroment, it is very nice to work in such enviroment. If you have any questions- ask her she is always happy to help you. She is so passionate about MATH, so she "infects" her students with the love of math...
Good professor. Very challenging, however she is clear and concise. She is willing to help. DO THE HOMEWORK. Essential to passing.
Awesome lady. The tests will be difficult, and you will have to put time into it, but she's really helpful in class and in office hours. Take her for sure!
Professor Lambert is a good professor for those who already understand most of the material in the course. The class goes by VERY fast so you MUST be able to keep up by doing the weekly homework and studying. Usually she gives good examples but sometimes they are completely different than how you would solve a problem on a test.
Amazing professor! She made sure you understood the concept and gave clear notes. Lots of hw but truly helps on the weekly quizzes. Drops your lowest quiz and test. If you put the time and effort, there is no doubt that you wouldn't be able to get an A! If I could, I would take her again!
Professor Lambert is a nice and cool professor. Her quiz and test could get harder but as long you go in her office hours before the quiz and test stand get help from her. While she shows how to do the problem it actually easy and it actually improve my quizzes test and I don't mind taking her again in a high level math!
Great teacher! Angie really cares about her students doing well. I took this class this summer and it was alot of work but worth it. 6 weeks is short but she makes everything very clear and concise. Quizes help with tests. Could definitely get an A if you put in the work
Professor Lambert is a caring professor and she loves math. She is always full of energy during class and very helpful during office hours. She drops the lowest quiz and exam which is a life saver. She tells you what's going to be on each quiz and exam so you can study. Exams are difficult but she grades lenient. Take her you'll be in good hands.
She's a great professor, she's obsessed with math and that's inspiring. She knows what she teaches about but she is not the easy one. You have to work for the grade you want. On the exams she really tests you on how well do you understand the chapter.
Prof Lambert is a true gem of a professor. The students who get to Linear Algebra are looking for someone to prepare them for university-level math and Angie does just that. She clearly knows her stuff and she is glad to answer any question. She put in a lot of effort this semester to give us extra office hours. Tough class, highly recommend!
Professor Lambert is hands down the best math professor I have EVER taken. She is so easy to understand and the lectures are so easy to follow along to. There is a lot of homework BUT it's great practice for the quizzes and tests. The quizzes are an example of what will be on the test too. I would take her again in a heart beat.
Very fast lecturer and writer (so many proofs!) and by the end of the sem, felt I had learned SO much. Gave very helpful feedback on homework and tests and even offered review sessions on her own time. So wonderful to speak with. She re-instilled my confidence in math to be honest. Genuine care for students shone through. I absolutely loved her!
Lambert is a great lecturer and reading outside of class is not necessary to pass. She explains things thoroughly and is very nice. However, a lot of topics are covered in very little time- so, while attendance isnt mandatory, you won't pass without it.
Great professor for MATH410. Love the way she grades her tests (never got below a 80/100 on any of her tests). Do not recommend skipping class, we go through about 2-3 sections a day. You need a textbook to do your homework (worth lots of points!!!).
Currently taking professor lambert for stats and must I say she is the most amazing professor ever! Very sweet and overall genuinely cares that you understand the material to pass the class. Don't slack off and you'll do great! Will re-update once I pass!
changes grading criteria mid semester, final worth 150pts, only gives participation pts when she feels like no one is paying attention or doesn't get it. oves on even if class looks lost, writes all over the bored, hard to follow. No graphing calc, No notes, talks like a mean girl. I would never recommend her class.
Professor Lambert is an AMAZING professor! Her lectures are easy to understand and the homework she assigns is pretty much identical to what will be on the quizzes and exams. I would DEFINITELY take Professor Lambert again if I needed to and would recommend everyone to take her class!
Prof. Lambert is a sweet and amazing professor who delivers high-quality lectures and is happy to help you outside of her class. Her quizzes and tests were really easy because she tells you ahead of time exactly what will be on them! Homework really helps you to learn the material! I would definitely recommend Prof. Lambert!
I actually failed her class years ago being sick and not showing up for a good 2-3 weeks (pneumonia). I got a 'D', but she was really helpful and gave awesome notes and really good feedback after watching you do some of the problems she writes down. I'm about to take STAT finally and her class is closed, but I remember her and awesome notes/help!!
Finished stats but sad I won't be a part of her class anymore! :( Definitely one of the best professor's I've ever met! So caring and sweet, she's truly a gem. Love prof. Lambert!
She is such an AMAZING PROFESSOR!!!!!! Her tests are difficult so beware and make sure you study every section unless stated otherwise because she will test on everything. One thing I would recommend is starting the homework ASAP and then redoing the hard ones only! Good Luck!
Great prof for Math 124 (AKA 120) you can tell she thoroughly enjoys math. She is one of the easier graders. She genuinely wants you to pass which is why her grading is a little lenient. Its hard sometimes she goes a little fast but that's not her fault. I def had to go to the math lab for help a lot of times. Hard work will a good grade
I would never recommend her class. Shes a tough grader, gives out a lot of homework, and she does too much, she writes all over the board hard to follow. Get mad when students are talking to each other in the class asking each other for help.
Pros: Clearly knowledgeable, nice, and shows a genuine desire for students success Cons: Explanations are all over the place and lack systematic structure per topic, No surprises on test x10 difficulty on exam day Ive had a brilliant professor for math and she was a rare gem to come by. This professor was a disappointment.
Prof Lambert is great at teaching, A+ 10/10 lecturer who clearly knows her stuff. She'll teach you the material, but you're expected to put in the work and keep up. It isn't an easy class and the tests are brutal, but despite the difficulty, you can get a good grade in the class if you're willing to work for it. I'd take her again gladly!
This professor is hard, yet the best one I have ever had. Get ready for 5-10 hours of homework each week and make sure you understand every single question on the homework assignments. Go get tutoring at the math lab on campus and you will pass the class with an A, like I did. Good luck!
