good teacher pretty interesting. hard test but she gives extra credit. no test curves

I thought her classes were extremly easy. She teaches with powerpoint, and post her notes on blackboard. All you have to is study and it's no problem. I thought it was very easy. She's even fun.She's down to earth and knows how to realate to the students

Professor MacKewn is an awesome professor and has the best intentions for her students. She wants them to understand the importance and techniques of research. The amount of work put into the class is definitely reflected in your grade. Excellent prof!

Take this teacher if you want to learn the necessary tools for further graduate work. If you want to slide by in school, avoid her...she makes you learn. Great personality makes the difficult coursework much more fun. Cute,funny,and helpful.

Hard class but she will do anything she can to help you if you go to her. In the end she gives you the grade you deserve, but you must work hard to earn it.

I liked her, and the class- for the most part. She does have a hard time keeping order. Allows lots of off-topic discussions that waste a lot of class time. Material is easy and she's pretty thorough. Expects you to read the text, if you do, you'll be fine.

She was an incrdeible teacher. Although everything is done by computer, she teaches with great enthusiasm. After class, she was always there to help me. I learned so much and would not have wished for a different teacher. Her tests are hard but everything else is just challenging.

she definatly knows her stuff and how to explain it to you so that you understand and shes really funny. her tests are a little hard but not that bad if you study and her assignments arent that hard... i would def suggest you take her!

her test are hard, but if you read the text you will be fine. I recommend taking her quizzes with someone so you will do better. She is a very blunt person, but knows what she is taliking about. Speak up in class. OH and make sure your phones are off. she will make you dance in front or the class.

Angie was a very good teacher. Her lectures were very interesting. She teaches you how to apply the material she presents. I didn't do so well on the tests. They are pretty much all critical thinking questions, and I just don't do good with those.Quizzes and assignments help your grade a lot though!

Angie is very intellegent in her area. She gives you a true dose of what college is all about. She expects a lot out of you, but that's the way college is. Recommended for those who work hard.

Ms.Angie is great! You have to study and come to class. She really knows her stuff and all she want is for you to know yours. Whats wrong with that? She made the class interesting if you don't won't to work don't choose her but if you want to learn she's your Canadian. :)

she's not that bad...granted, she's not an easy "A," but psych majors wanting to go to graduate school shouldn't have an easy "a." cognitive psych was not that bad...i think many of you may be exaggerating.

Angie is a very good teacher. She gets frustrated because some students just refuse to make an effort. If you mess up on the first test, GO TALK TO HER!! She will help you understand what you missed and WHY you missed it, therefore you will do better on the next.

Boring class b/c lecture is out of book that you HAVE to read beforehand. Tests are SO hard. She knows what she is talking about tho. Thought I was failing for sure, but ended up with a 'B'- I think b/c of the research project. Keep it simple- she likes animals, so I trained some horses to come to me. MAKE SURE that your trifold board is NEAT!

Tough but always willing to help. She goes out of her way to help students. Don't look for an easy A in 315 just won't happen. In fact don't expect an A.

Angie made this class very interesting and tuff at the same time. She makes you study alot and make sure that you read the chapters in the book and get the notes off the internet. If you get the psych study guide and as long as you can do those tests youll do fine. Overall I had fun learning pshychology because she was so helpful and understandable

Angie is a tough teacher there is no getting around it. She is willing to help no matter what. She won't give you the answer but she will point you in the right direction. The class is hard but if you show that you are willing to work hard she will help more. For this class I practically moved into her office and the psych lab. I got a B.

I had her for freshman studies, and I hated that class. But it's not her fault because freshman studies is completely stupid. I wish I wouldn't have taken that pointless class. She can get pretty angry though. She's the first teacher I've had that cussed at the class. But she is pretty helpful though. Just get on her good side!!

She is not your easy type of professor. She is a professor that will get the most out of you. The grade you receive in her classes justifies your efforts. At the beggining of the semester she always gives her little "the difference between a "C" and an "A" student" speech. If you just follow what she says and seek her help you will do good. Good Lu

Great teacher!!!! She seems to have gotten a bum rap here from everyone.....I took her for my very 1st college class (in the summer) and got a B! Everybody is right--she is VERY hard--but VERY nice. Alot of opportunities for grades--so if you screw up and get a bad grade its your own fault. I loved her class and I am taking her again!!

she was very insanely tough- i barely made a c in her class... but that was only because i did not know the material &, that is exactly what she expects out of her students- KNOW your stuff and you will do fine... she gives plenty of extra credit... She is smart and funny... if you like a challenge- go for it! i would definately take her again.

I began taking the class, & enjoyed it. Her class is fun & discussion gets interesting. She gives online quizzes which are timed & suck. I used my book one time & made like a 7 out of 20. Her tests are very through. They don't reallygo along w her notes.you have to read the chapters. I dropped bc I didnt need the class or the bad grade

A lot of people say she is hard but she is really not. If you ask for her help she is more than willing to give it to you. She keeps you intrested and she is passionate about what she teaches.

this class required a good deal of effort but it was engaging and thought provoking. the professor is very well organized and helpful focusing on the synthesis of information to encourage critical thinking about the subject. i highly recommend it to anyone who is serious about learning something.

I really liked her. You will have to read the book. Her test are over notes but also what you read in the book but she told us that from the beginning. She is very helpful and very informative. It's not an easy A class but if you pay attention and attempt your assignments you will be fine! I would recommend taking this class!!!

go to class every day it helps in her class, she takes attendance too. she is real relaxed and relates well to students.

She grew on me as the semester went on, She is very charming and engaging. She is a wiz at health psych and will give you alot of ideas to think about. In order to pass her class with an A,B just read the chapters and do the workbook exercises, I promise you will do well. People who dont pass her class dont do any work or reading outside of class.

She's a really nice and fun teacher, her quizzes and test are just VERY VERY hard! I suggest reading your chapters before test and quizzes and ASK ALLTHE QUESTIONS YOU NEED TO!

I love her as a person but did not care too much for her class- The notes are SO brief compared to the tests. You MUST read the chapters to be successful in the class! She has a GREAT sense of humor and VERY sarcastic. Dont take her sarcasm seriously!

Dr. Mackewn is a very interesting person. Her test are tough because they are critical thinking questions. I would recommend buying the study guide or find a friend woth the study guide.

Dr. MacKewn is hillarious! I had her at 8 and i never wanted to miss her class! Her quizzes are tough and her tests are very tough, but you have assignments in there (papers) that she grades very easy as long as you dont copy other peoples work. She is very funny and makes things easy to relate too! Just read the chapters and you'll be fine.

She is the only teacher I have ever taken that does this. yes, i made a C in her classes, but I think i learned more in those two than I have in my years in college. 318 is hard regardless who teaches it, but she is a hard teacher no matter what she teaches. However, she is a GOOD teacher! You just have to get past the complaining and laziness and do what you are supposed to do. You will definitely learn from her, and you can have fun while you do it. She is a funny person! One of the best teachers I've had.

Yes, Dr. MacKewn is a really hard teacher and this is the hardest course I've taken. But if you take this class, you will learn something that you can use no matter what you decide to do. It's well worth the work you have to give but it will be frustrating at times. She is a good teacher though, and helpful if you're willing to put forth the effort

She is a good teacher, but be prepared to do ALOT of work. Online quizzes and exams are in scenario form and you also have to use the book AND the lectures to ace a test. Lectures are always on itunes so if you miss class, no worries.

Dr. MacKewn is so much better than I had been told. I had been told a lot of bad things about her as a person that made her a bad teacher to a lot of people. The ones who told me about her were wrong. She's fun, entertaining, informative, and bloody nice. I don't see what all of the negative stuff was about.

Dr. Mackewn is a HARD teacher and this was the hardest class I have taken so far, but I definitely came out of the class feeling like I learned something. Only for psych majors. Class is very helpful for incoming freshmen or an easy A. Makes you read the book. Relates the material to psychology. Very interested in students success. Complete assignments..NO EXCUSES! If you don't, she gets angry and assigns more work, plus the assignment that wasn't completed. Attendance mandatory.

Dr. Mac is a very smart lady, and this is a very difficult class. The amount of info you will cover in the semester is crazy much, but if you study the powerpoints you'll do fine. Attendace is mandatory. She don't play. Don't overestimate your capacity to just remember the info you hear in class. Studying is a must.

Her tests are super hard and are in no way related to the powerpoints she reads verbatim in class.

She will help you if you ask. The more you put into it the more help she will provide.

Dr. Mackewn is a great yet terrifying professor. She knows all about psych, but it's very daunting if you don't put in work. She's very vague about what she wants, so ask LOTS of questions. Write everything. I'd recommend listening to her lectures on iTunes. She can come on a strong with her agendas but she's a great person to laugh with.

Honestly she is a really awesome teacher. there is never a boring day in her class the quizzes are easy if you work with people n them. the book or disk does nothing for help. nether do her powerpoints. her tests are extremely hard. if you want an easy A dont take her but if you understand psych take her she's great!

If you REALLY are interested in psychology she is the best to take. She loves her job and is extremely laid back. She will help you any time, but you have to ask. She gives out her email and phone number for any questions you have. It is a HARD class to pass, not going to lie, but it will definitely help you understand psychology.

This class is difficult but Mackewn helps you really get into it. Attendance is mandatory. STUDY. She's a great person in and out of class. GO TO HER FOR HELP! She's very understand, but don't take any bullsht. Be prepared for pop quizzes. Her tests are difficult. STUDY. She's hilarious. Did I mention STUDY? Lots of research and SPSS. STUDY!

I really like Dr. MacKewn. She is hilarious and always ready to help. Study from the book and understand the material, and you will be good.Don't just try to memorize terms and definitions. Maybe a little bit hard for Intro in Psychology, not everyone in that class are psychology majors. She is so funny!

Her class is not difficult, yet she does make you work for your grades. The one thing that lowered my grade the most though was the pop quizzes. I though I knew when she was about to give one but then she would give us a quiz on the previous chapter during the middle of the next chapter. Also you don't actually need to read the chapters.

I bombed Dr. Mac's first test. However, once you learn to study for them, they're not bad. I made an A on the rest of her tests. She records all her lectures which is very helpful. Pretty difficult, but she's so in love with psychology and so energetic, so she makes it bearable. Love her, hate psychology. Would recommend!

MacKewn is a wonderful teacher. She really is there for when you need her. I have text her at eleven o'clock at night and she got right back with me. She's great at explaining things and she's entertaining while she teaches. Her lectures are very informational and she has very thorough powerpoints. I definitely recommend her to everyone!

She's very helpful, please note that the class I took her for (psych320) is a JUNIOR level course and she teaches it as such. She's understanding if you have something come up and depending on if she feels it's justified she will extend the homework, but she won't be pushed over. She's in better shape than you, you won't be able to out run her.

She's great! She's clearly very enthusiastic about what she teaches, and that enthusiasm makes it pleasant to listen to her lectures. She is willing to work with students under special circumstances if they are going to miss class or tests, and she is very polite. Would definitely take her again! One warning: she will make you earn your grade.

Look guys, she's not going to go easy on you. If that's what you are looking for you should just change majors (you have to have & pass this class as a psyc major). She's a great teacher, but she's not going to handle you with kid gloves, so know that going in. She posts her lectures (audio) online if miss a class, gives power points and ext/credit

Dr. Mackewn is a fantastic professor, but her tests are HARD. Make sure you read EVERY chapter thoroughly because her tests are all fill-in-the-blank and essay. However, I really liked how she included many assignments to help my grade. Also, the final research paper is 20% of the grade, and the final is 25%.

Dr. Mackewn was a great professor to take this semester. I thoroughly enjoyed her class and learned a lot from her as well. Her class can be hard in the beginning, but once you know what to do, you start to understand her class better. She was also willing to help anybody who didnt understand a certain concept as well.

Attendance is like front line of the war serious. All tests are essay short & long. Im a poor reader, but the ebook for this class helped a lot bc it would read to me. Research project is a huge portion of your grade.

Dr. MacKewn is a very good professor. Her class is extremely hard though, compared to other intro psych classes. You really have to study, but she is funny and relatable in class. She understands college is hard, so if you have any issues then just be up front about them. She gives a lot of extra credit, so do it all and you should be ok.

Dr. MacKewn is a great professor, but she makes her class way harder than it should be. The other intro psych professors are much easier so if you aren't majoring in psychology, I would take someone else. The tests are vey hard, and if you don't study a lot, you won't do good in the class.

Dr. MacKewn is a great professor. I took this class as part of my psychology minor, and I really enjoyed this class. There are weekly assignments, and it would be most beneficial to get these done as soon as possible because they take a bit of time. There is a final exam that is timed. Because the class is online, you can use your textbook.

Super hard, but learned a lot. Dr. M is great. MAKE SURE TO read chap., answer essay questions at the end, -understand/know the research, outcome of the research, and concepts they apply to from PPTs- and ask Dr. M anything you don't understand. Deep studying.

I absolutely Loved Dr.Mac She does an amazing job at relating what we are learning to the real world. One thing I would say is that you really need to make sure you read and understand the textbook because 9/10 of the questions on her quizzes are book and the other 1 is from her lecture. Her exams are the same way.
