Of all the math teacher I've had in high school and in college I think that she was the most dedicated to her job. She was always willing to answer questions and explained the material in various ways so that if we didn't understand it one way we would hopefully understand it another way.

Ramnarine is sooo good! She's super easy. She gives you print out of notes and you just go through and fill them out as a class. No homework, except eduspace.com things, which can be time consuming, but not hard at all. Go to class to stay caught up on all the notes. Do the online homework and definitely the reviews online and you'll do just fine.

She is a good teacher. It always helps me to know a teacher is good when the student is not good at the subject and that was the case for me. she gives out worksheets which are the notes for the day. Her tests aren't that bad and she gives out bonus points for stuff sometimes. she takes attendance but i dont think that affects your overall grade.

Professor Ramnarine is by far one of the best math teachers I have ever had. I took Pre-Cal in high school and she made things seem so easy that seemed so hard in high school. She gives reviews before every test and they really helped me out. Only one homework assignment before each test. Gave extra credit for coming on rainy days.

Compared to other teachers, she's hot. She's single and maybe somewhat depressed. The class is the easiest one they offer, and she's willing to work with the class to make it easier. Awesome teacher! Big heart, and lots of empathy. The final isn't required, but it can replace a test grade if you take it. I would highly recommend her.

All notes are filled out in class. All homework is online. All quizzes are take home. All tests were multiple choice. Good professor and willing to make sure you understand the information before moving on.

You will never use the textbook. All the homework is online in coursecompas. The tests and quizes are only over the notes that you must print out at home on your own. You bring the notes to class to fill in with her. She explains everything very well. I would recommend her!

She's a great teacher! Probably the best math teacher at UTC and her classes usually get full fast. She teaches the material very nicely and her quizzes are take home and her tests are quite easy too. If you do the quizzes and online homework you'll do good on the test

Very great instructor. Explains material very well if you go to class and pay attention. Never uses book but you need to get the code to do online homework which is very easy and multiple attempts. I would recommend her to anyone that has to take this class.

She's awesome. I took the class with Dr. Darken in my first semester and dropped it on the first day. I tried it with this professor and have loved it ("love" being relative since I hate math with a passion). Overall, she made an otherwise miserable experience pretty good. Ms. Ramnarine is very helpful! You need to attend class. She gives you study guides before each test and the test are VERY similar to those. You can make an A if you go to class and study.

Great teacher. She gives you notes to fill in as she teaches, and thoroughly goes over everything. Our class was doing terrible so she re-opened the HW assignments a lot, and also easied our tests up. Class is hard for the math, but she teaches it well. I would recommend her. But make sure you go to every class! That really helps a whole lot!

But seriously, just go to class. Every class. My math ACT was a 24, and I ended this class with a 97. Didn't have to take the final. No midterm. Whaaaat

I'll be the first to say that I SUCK at math but Ramnarine's class was a piece of cake. She prints off the notes for you. 4 take home quizzes, 4 tests, online homework and one final.(Which is optional if you get an A or B.) Not a very personal professor, but she's an excellent math teacher and makes things as easy as she can. Take her!

Don't get the textbook. I had both sections of this class and never bought the textbook. She prints off all the notes you need for class. It's a fill in the blank type thing. The tests are straight from the notes and she gives reviews/homework that lets you know what's on the test. Overall, a really good class and most of it was review.

I am terrible in math, I had to retake this course and took her and it has been the best decison I have made. She's helpful, prints off the notes for you, just make sure you don;t miss class and do your homework and quizzes and you should be fine. She drops your lowest test grade and two lowest quiz grades.

GREAT teacher! Her teaching style is really easy to understand and if you do well in her class (B or higher) you don't have to ta the final. Attendance is mandatory but I would recommend going to every class anyway cause the my math lab homework won't really help you learn the material the same way the classes will

I thought she was very difficult. The test are so much harder then the quizzes and homework and since those are supposed to be practice for the exam you won't do very good. I'm not the best at math but I'm good enough to say that I've had WAY better math teachers.

Ive never been good at math in my life so entering this class I was aiming to at least pass it, but if you truly want to pass math she makes the material easy to understand and will stop to answer everyones questions. Very thorough with explanations. Never met a teacher that went out of their way to explain math. Failed the semester before, but when I took her, I got an A.

GREAT Professor! She uses guided notes in lecture and they are really helpful to use for quizzes and homework. Make sure you do the homework and talk to her if you need help or an extension on something because something happened she is pretty understanding. SHE GIVES EXTRA CREDIT ON FRIDAYS JUST FOR SHOWING UP SO DON'T SKIP ON FRIDAYS!!

Her lectures are very clear and sometimes oversimplified but that is much better than the alternative. She gives you guided notes and goes through the whole process when teaching a new topic. Only gives 4 or 5 tests and they are generally pretty easy

Has pages of notes that you just fill in, so it's easy to look back at them to do homework. Online homework and a quiz for each chapter, but you get two attempts for each quiz. A few tests, provides study guide. Nice, answers questions. Two excel projects that are super easy. Roulette attendance, usually for extra credit on the next test.

Professor Ramnarine's Math 1010 is set up very well. The notes are fill in the blank style making everything very easy to follow. The subject material is a little strange, but as long as you study it and practice using your resources you will do just fine.

The way she structures her class worked really well for me. Made math easy. Don't buy the textbook, just the online My Math Lab code. All you do in class is notes and exams, everything else is online. Doesn't take attendance often, but sometimes you get extra credit on the next test if you're on the attendance sheet. Will definitely take her again.

I took her class online and it was easily my best grade of the semester. She provides so many resources to set you up for success in her class & responds the emails almost immediately. This class is not hard if you do the online homework assignments every week, take notes, and do well on online quizzes . The homework gives you textbook examples and gives you the correct answer right after. YOU DO NOT NEED THE TEXTBOOK. Just buy access code for HW. She is very nice and a laid-back person. Tests are kind of difficult so STUDY.

As long as you come to class, take good notes, and do the reviews she posts online for tests you will do very well. There is homework for every section but its an easy 100 as long as you use the unlimited attempts to get correct answers. Love the class, it's easy and fun.

I had Ramnarine for my first online class. She is so incredibly kind and helpful, and is willing to provide extra assistance if needed. She is very thorough in her explanations, so for those who don't love math (like me) the lectures are clearly understood. She also provides a lot of resources to obtain the grade you want.

Ramnarine is a very sweet lady and obviously cares about your learning. However, she moves very quickly and there is little time to ask questions in class, so it is easy to get lost or fall behind. She assigns TONS of homework, but you get unlimited attempts and 2 attempts on quizzes. Overall not a hard class, even if you're bad at math.

prof ramnarine will allow you to make up any homework you missed and work with you to get your grade up. its a flipped classroom. tests are online proctored. the reason im not failing is bc she worked with me and let me make up some assignments.

Due to Covid in-person class is optional but if you need extra help show up for the class because she will answer them. she does move fast when teaching so you have to speak up if want her to go over something. there is a lot of homework, quiz, and test so if want a good grade you have to be willing to put in the work but there be time to improve.

I took a hybrid of this class and attendance was optional. I found the online lectures at a good pace and learned a lot. Tests were not terribly hard.

Dr. Ramnarine is the best of the best. I struggle with a math related learning disability and most of the time my teachers don’t know how to help. She has been reassuring, and has provided so many avenues for improvement. I’ll say this: communication matters. Each time I have emailed in a professional way she has been more than happy to help

Not a bad professor at all, math just isn't the easiest subject. It can be overwhelming at first but take the time to schedule things out, or use her provided calendar. Watch lecture videos and go to class if stuck. She goes slow and is able to help, or use SI meetings. If you put in the effort you can at least pass.

There's lots of homework, and I mean heavy on the homework, and for my class we did something called recitation, which was an extra hour of math class which I would gladly do again simply because I am not the brightest when it comes to math, also she does this review that happens at night specifically at 8 PM, however it is worth it

She was so easy to follow in class and as long as you study and listen, you will be fine. The content itself can be a little tricky but she is very accessible and wants everyone to succeed. She makes lectures fun and light but do be ready for a lot of homework/quizzes and test reviews.

Dr. Ramnarine advises to invest time early on in the heavy load of coursework before you. She alerts you to important points to know for upcoming tests. During class lectures she is very open to questions. She explains the material better than the E-Textbook. She informs you of all the study skills you need to employ to be successful.

A lot of due dates for homework, quizzes, test reviews, and projects. So make sure that you stay ahead of all your assignments. Overall a very easy class and very sweet professor. She gives out note packets and works through them in lecture and reminds students of upcoming deadlines constantly.

The lectures mostly consisted of her writing down answers to problems and students writing them down on a notes sheet. Each week we have something called recitation which I found to be super helpful if you use it to improve your knowledge on the course. I was able to connect with peers and the professor to gain a better understanding of the units.

The homework and quizzes can be tedious, but Dr. Ramnarine's lectures are straightforward. She's accessible and wants students to succeed. Using Unstuck AI and attending SI sessions helped me stay on top of the workload.

She is really good with explanations, goes slow, and reiterates all her steps, i would definitely recommend taking her, especially if you're not strong in math. the only thing i wasn't a fan of were the online homeworks, and she smacks her lips in between sentences which was annoying but it's ok.
