Very fun class. Makes everything fun and easy to learn/understand. You learn how to solve the problems but never really understand the theory behind it. Great funny stories but no punchlines.

THE GUYS COOL, AND GOOD WITH THE JOKES

Mingarelli obviously enjoys what he teaches and makes calc look simple. Awesome stories about his life adventures. Best advice from him: "The very first thing you do when faced with a problem is don't worry. The second thing...coffee!". Hope I have him in a future math course.

Very enthusiastic teacher, tells funny stories often, always available for help. I recommend attending his lectures and taking notes as most of the test questions are straight from the examples he does on the board. GREAT PROF!

Out of this world... Literally. Angelo is an amazing prof and very helpful. Always keeps class entertaining by teliing us stories every once and a while. Tests are fair, and so was the final. There are never any surprises. Just do the practice and you'll be fine. He wrote the textbook, so the questions in the text are similar to the test. Have fun!

Although I never really went to his class, from the times that I did, he was a great teacher. He even sells his own Calculus textbook (around $50). In case you miss his lectures, his books are essentially the lecture themselves. Final exam was ridiculously easy (multiple choice), so you can pass by luck if you play your cards right if youre at risk

One of the most interesting math profs. He is very dedicated to helping his students outside of class as well as in. Tests were very easy although the final exam had a few tricky questions. Does a thorough review beforehand for possible questions. His stories made the class amazing!

BEST PROFESSOR EVER! Super clear, goes through EVERYTHING in detail -- you can re-read his notes 5 years down the road and still understand them. He can teach calculus to a 12 year old. I have now had the pleasure of having Dr. Mingarelli for two classes. Hands down the best calculus professor out there. Hilarious, great speaker, clearest notes you could possibly get, and not a very hard course to get an A in! His lectures are always a delight. Great Professor,exam is very similar to the one he does as a review. Very enthusiastic and every one and then tells very funny stories. If you do and understand all the homework A+ for sure. You only need the text for the homework questions as his notes are excellent. Definitely take him if you have the chance.

Great, funny prof. Tests are fair. I suggest reading the textbook and attempting questions before going to the lectures so that the lectures are a useful review, because much of what he does is work through examples. First half of course covers grade 12 calculus, second half integrals.

Possibly my favourite professor I have had so far. As a first year student, I looked forward to going to his lectures. The course was not terribly challenging, (my friends beg to differ), but he made it look fun, (that we can agree on). Also stay for the entire lecture, when he tells hilarious stories. Also bring him coffee, he loves that.

Angelo Mingarelli was one of the most amazing professors I have ever had. He is excellent at explaining topics and answering questions. He creates unique methods of solving problems and memorizing concepts. I really appreciated his incredible stories which made it worth attending lectures, though they were essentially the textbook read to us.

Ive taken two calculus courses at Carleton before this, plus three calculus courses in high school. Nobody compares to Professor Mingarelli. Ive never had a professor so good at teaching in my life. If you have a question, hell answer it and he explains everything extremely well. His sense of humour is great as well.

Don't let his age fools you, there's a child inside Prof. Mingarellyi's heart. He shows a very good understanding of what he's teaching and curious about everything. He's running coffee in his veins, and his mind is controlled by aliens (If you had him you'll understand). One of the best professor I've seen so far. Oh, and don't forget the D Box!

Mingarelli has been my favourite professor Ive had. MATH 2004 is tough and he teaches really fast, but his lectures are really interesting and he knows his stuff really well. Writes a nasty exam but its not impossible if you do well throughout the semester.

I love Angelo! So fun, so nice. He always offers geometric/conceptual explanations of the ideas which is great. If you have a problem he will make sure you understand. You can get by without the text for 2004 at least, as he posts practice tests and everything can be googled nowadays.

I've been at Carleton for 4 years and he is by far the best professor I've had. I used the textbook so much and it paid off in then end. Go to his office hours and watch his online office hours before the tests. Over all, he is amazing, I highly recommend him!

Despite my garbage grade (my own fault entirely), the course was an absolute blast thanks to Angelo. He is the most jolly, charismatic, and enjoyable prof to listen to. He teaches in a very understandable yet thorough fashion, so you can follow everything he's doing easily . Without a doubt the best prof I've had yet.

Prof. Mingarelli is one of the best professors at CU. He is highly knowledgeable and teaches the material in a way which makes it easy to understand. The concepts in this course are complicated, but Prof. Mingarelli solved many examples in lectures and discussed every step in great detail. He is very caring and wants to see his students succeed!

He's a great teacher, a dynamic lecturer and super funny. It's really helpful how he works though all the problems with you so you can see the whole process. My one complaint is that the assignments tended to be much harder than anything we would cover in class, which was frustrating.

Professor Mingarelli is very helpful outside of class. His lectures can be confusing at times, but he goes through a lot of example problems so there are a lot of opportunities to practice. If you have time he holds long office hours which are very helpful if you're having a hard time in the class. Very funny guy, engaging lectures.
