Mrs. Anderson is a great teacher and is fun to listen to in class. She has a way of making her students become interested, even if they are not at first "into" history. She is savvy with the computer system on our campus and uses it to maximum a
Mrs. Anderson is so great! It is IMPOSSIBLE to fail this class. She posts everything on the internet. You take 8 online quizzes at home, which means 80 points that are basically HANDED to you. I would recommend this teacher to everyone because she is so funny and interesting!!!

She makes history interesting
Easy teacher
Great teacher! She makes lectures fun giving goofy yet very interesting details. Great lecture teacher! Her tests I find are worded kinda strang, but overall, she's a WONDERFUL teacher! I highly recommend her!
Instant amnesia walking into this class. I swear she breathes sleeping gas. Maybe it is because I am not interested in History, AT ALL. I would recomend her.
Mrs Anderson is an awesome teacher. She actually makes history fun. Who would have ever thought history could be fun? NOT ME!!
I do not know what these fools are talking about because this woman is very hard and she is so boring. Yes she puts everything such as assignments on the board but she is just hard. Her test are extrememly hard. She is not a good teacher. Beware

Great Teacher, easy tests if your not lazy.
i would recommend her to anyone who does not like history and just wants a good grade. as long as you do your assignments and study a little you'll be fine.
When I had her she was really cool and nice!
Impossible to fail. Everything is online and you get a load of extra credit if you need it! I hate history so I would recommend taking her to anyone!!!
She's a great teacher. She lectures the whole time, but talks in between so the class isn't boring. Her tests are a little confusing, but she offers extra credit and has quizzes online which makes it easy to make an A!
I took Prof. Anderson for History 201 and 202..and it was great!!
I felt like I was listening to a storyteller the entire semester.
I love this women. Best class I have! One exam I just watched every lecture the same day right before and got an A. But you HAVE to PAY ATTENTION and LEARN!
taken her for 101 and 102 online (TV).. easy class.
I took her tv/internet course for 101 and 102. I wouldn't take her if you're taking it by yourself. if you take it with people then it's really easy.. but her tests are really hard. it's very easy if you take it with friends.. but don't take it by yourself.
She's monotone, but if you listen to her, she's interesting. She's really nice. If you study the stuff, you'll get a good grade...its just memorization
I took this as a TV class, thank goodness you are able to watch the lectures online because she goes really fast. The assignments were not too hard but definitely take to studying/reading. The test are unreal, I put this class of until the semester I graduated and I never imagined I would have struggled so much with the test. She gives extra credit
This semester was the first semester she structuted her 201 tele class differently and its soo hard and you can't even use the book to try and help you out because you can't find the info in there. I also have her for 202 and it's sooo easy because of the way it's structured.So..if your going to take her telecourses do not take 201 take 202.
Class requires tooo much. All her classes are online and all the test are essay, multiple choice, fill in the blank. Questions are weird questions about little facts you glance over.Powerpoint slides for each unit are like 198 slides.Just dont take her,go to a class and take someone else. BTW she never tells us where we can do the SOT on her.
No fluidity in the way she delivers lectures. She skips around back and forth thru time. Part of the online lecture includes documentary footage but when it is over she repeats everything they said! Her tests are ridiculous and test questions don't seem to reflect material emphasized in lecture. I would NOT take her online class again.
I took the online class, it was pretty easy. You have to make time to watch the lectures. I procrastinated the entire semester and would have to watch 7-8 lectures in one or two days. She is a very good lecturer, makes it interesting and also does that she can to accomodate you. I had to make up two tests and she was very good about helping!
She's awesome! If you study all of her lectures her tests are a breeze. I took her online and she rocks.
her work is really easy. but test are hard. some of the questions were not as comprehensive.
Mrs. Anderson is passionate about teaching history. She is a great story-teller that keeps your interest...she works with you if you have any problems...I missed a couple of weeks of class due to different circumstances..and still made a B+..Would take her again!
Her tests are horrible. Even other people have no clue what she is talking about and they are in the same history class just with a different professor. If you do not memorize her entire lecture you will have a tough time in this class. She also skips all around in the lectures. She is always backtracking and very hard to follow.
T took her online. She give 4 test, 4 reader articles, and maps to go with each section. You have to watch the lectures. She gives short answers, fill in the blank, and true or false. Some of her shot answeres are not as comprhensive. I gat an A.
I took her online she is hard unless you are a complete nerd that loves history. I do not see how her ratings are so high. Plus, everything is from the lecture, and you have to be almost specific with the lecture, even if you are right.
I took her class online and I found her lectures to be very boring. Additionally she just read through her notes, so she went very fast. Some topics were interesting but I really had to make myself to watch the lectures.
I really enjoyed this class, her letures are fun and she makes it really easy to keep up. Her test were easy, i only study for one day for each and got b's. I recommend her.
She is AMAZING! very entertaining and strait forward.I would definitally reccomend her.
Took this class online. I would recommend it to anyone. Just watch the lectures and take notes and the tests are a breeze.
Her tests are very hard. Get notes if you miss a class because studying the chapters in the book will do you no good.
She is a great teacher. She will keep you interested in the material. Make sure to take and study notes, that is what the test is based on. I have yet to have read the text book. She gives many chances to get bonus points(Lecture around campus, and museum visits). The reader quizzes are very easy.
Took it online. Long boring video lectures. You must follow w/ the powerpoint provided and add notes as you watch. Then just use the powerpoint when you take the test. I had a high A, but you have to keep up with the lectures and take good notes.
Great personality, great teacher. Make shore you follow her PowerPoints during lectures and take good notes...
She is not a bad teacher at all, the course is just difficult in general. She gives bonus points and will help her students. You have to study and work hard in this class
Great teacher! The material is hard, you have to study to pass. You can earn up to 20 bonus points. She is always willing to help!
Took it online and it was hard! The test are not easy and the lectures are terrible! Do not take!
Took the class online. If you watch all the lectures and take notes you can pass, but I wouldn't say it was easy. She gave opportunity for bonus points and answered her emails fairly quickly.
Enjoyed her online class thoroughly because of the lecture videos. Test were straightforward. Email communication was good.
I took this as an online course. She was very organized and timely with all communications. The online course was fairly easy, but could be challenging for someone who is not used to online classes. All the lectures are pre-recorded - some initiative is required in order to keep up in this class. She does offer extra credit.
online class is a LOT of work- and i mean A LOT. But on the otherhand it is as much work as if you actually had to attend a class. The content is very interesting and ive learned a lot. shes helpful through emails everytime I've had issues with online tests/assignments. She also issues a 'word list' that is a great tool for taking notes
lectures are about an hour long each, it takes commitment to keep up. each test covers 10 lectures, however if you watch them the tests are a breeze. you also take map and reading quizzes which are open book and SUPER easy. she does give extra credit as well- DO ALL EXTRA CREDIT! when you get to the end of the course you'll be glad you did!
I was short a point in the class and she gave me what I needed to receive an A. Online lectures can be a bore, but overall easy
There were 4 test with 2 parts each, and then 2 quizzes per test. Everything was spaced out in a timely manner. There were also 4 bonus options 5 points each. No problems at all with this online course. Would definitely take another online course from her.
Lectures can seem time consuming but really aren't that bad once you get in the swing of it. Many guest speakers, all very entertaining. She gives you notes for each lecture, which makes taking notes easy. I highly recommend her!
The tests cover a bunch of info. It's hard to know what to study for the tests. She does give a study guide for where you must look up about different people or events but the study guide covers so much info there is no way one can study everything. I thought it wouldn't be that hard of a class. It isn't but there is to much info needed to be known
I hate history and I loved her class. She makes all of the events flow like a nice story. Every class is lectured notes, so be prepared to write A LOT, but it is fairly easy. 500 pts total, intro-20 pts, four tests-100 pts each, and 8 online, open book quizzes, 10 pts each. Make an effort to attend all classes so you dont miss notes. LOVE HER!
I hated this class. I thought taking it online would be easier for me. Boy was I wrong. There was no telling what was on the tests and the test covered way too much material. Like the final had both world wars and the Great Depression on it. The online lectures were like an hour long. This class only taught me one thing: take 202 in class
lectures every class period. tests and quizzes are difficult, but if you do the extra credit and study, you should be fine.
The online lectures were really hard to get through.
Every class period she gives a lecture. Test are very difficult , so you have to study . She gives extra credit and just study .
I took History 201 online with Professor Anderson. I only interacted with her a few times via email. Very pleasant and welcoming. Quizzes and exams are lecture heavy, but no surprises. Take notes during the lectures and you will do fine. I would take her as a professor again.
I took this class online and she makes you watch online lectures. The lectures (in my opinion) are extremely boring and disorganized. There are 10 lectures for each exam, and there are 4 exams with 2 parts each. You also get quizzed which rely on the textbooks. Quizzes and exams aren't too hard but you do need to make sure you take notes!
Even though it's an online class, this class is tough. Mrs. Angie is a tough grader when it comes down to grading your short answer responses, but all in all she isn't a bad professor, it's just a hard class.
Boring 1 hours long lecture videos and test are the hardest, even Google has no answers to her questions!! -_-
She is a sweetheart, but her tests are very hard. You will be fine if you do not miss class, take complete notes and study everyday. She gives bonus opportunity and may even curve your grade a bit if you are very hardworking student with 100% attendance and all bonus attempt.
I took her for History 102 Online, was rediculous!! Her tests were honestly so hard it was insane. Even with watching all the lecture videos&reading all the chapters, the test questions were insane. The only reason I needed the class with a B is because theres 5 bonus opportunists. there are much better teachers to take for online history!!!!!
Mrs. Anderson is a caring professor. I took History 201 online with her and do not regret it. It's a good idea to make an appointment with her early on in the semester, she will remember you and it will pay off. However, her tests are VERY difficult and dense. If you take online watch her lectures and read the chapters. 9/10 would recommend.
I am not a fan of history but I liked this class. The only history professor to understand we cant write 1000 words a minute. Takes her time in lectures and allows you to write everything without feeling rushed. Made history fun. Clearly passionate about history. Would take again in a heart beat. Follow the word list and you will pass
I took this class online. Ended up having to drop. VERY difficult to follow. Test questions are worded weird. Some information on the test was not found in the textbook. If you take this class be prepared to STUDY nonstop. Tip: Don't take history online
CONS -Rambles on the whole class and doesn't make it clear what to take down -Powerpoints are not helpful at all -Questions on the test about subject matter that she did not discuss and is not in the textbook -Lecture heavy!!!!!!!!!!!! & beyond boring PROS -Gives extra credit assignments
I had 10 pages of notes front & back for one test its just too much and she gives no study guide. Gives dates but says we dont need them. Powerpoint's not helpful to study with because they barely have words. Does give bonus opportunities.
She is very nice and easy to make conversation with. Be sure to go to every class because her lectures are heavy and she doesn't provide a study guide. Make sure to type every word when she lectures because her test are very detailed. If you aren't a fast type or writter, I dont suggest taking her.
Prof Anderson is a really sweet lady who tries to lecture by telling a story. However, its a class where you have to write word for word and will find few things she actually said on the test so it makes it super hard to study for. All of my friends and I could barely make a high B. If you do extra credit/quizzes it should help your grade though!
I took this class online for an easy A and that surely was not the case. The test are nearly impossible. You have to watch the online lectures you will not find one answer online. There is also a part 2 short answer test that I didnt know existed. #goodluck
Ms. Andersons class was the toughest class Ive ever had. Partially because I do suck at history. Her lectures were long and boring & it was hard to stay on track. You have to type/write everything down fast because you honestly cant miss a thing bc her test are random questions from the lectures. Only good thing is she let us out 5-10 mins early
I was put in her class because the one I was scheduled for didn' t have enough students. Save yourself alot of stress and anxiety and DO NOT TAKE HER! I didn't enjoy her class one bit. The online lecturing videos were time consuming, and confusing because there was 7 other professors who did the videos, and she didn't teach one of them.
Very passionate but got carried away on history topics irrelevant to what was on the test! But they have quilts fr her tests.
She's a nice person and teacher, but beware of her tests! There are 4 exams throughout the semester and small reading and map quizzes. Your grade is very dependent on how you do on tests. She is very lecture heavy, with a powerpoint but it won't help you. As long as you take good notes and study as MUCH AS YOU CAN, you should be okay.
I would NOT take her if you have other options. I spend way more time studying for this class than my science classes. Her test are very HARD. You have to watch all lectures (10 for each unit) and take notes. It takes forever because you have to keep pausing to write. Be prepared to work REALLY hard in this class.
The lectures are the notes so if you don't go to class you might as well drop it. She talks about stuff that isn't on the test so you don't know what to write down and you have to study! Her reader quizzes are not online and they are hard to find in the book. I don't recommend
Anderson is a fine professor. However, you MUST attend her lectures & write down EVERY WORD that she says throughout them. The class consists of 4 units & each unit has 3 tests (map/essay/multiple choice). There is extra credit offered that will be applied at the end of the semester. She's also a tough grader. Take at your own risk.
its almost outrageous the amount of work you have to do for this one class.
This one class gave more work than my other 4 classes combined. At one point, the essay questions equaled up to four thousand words. The lectures are hard to get notes from and the tests are very specific. If you have another option to take someone else, please do. The amount of work is just not worth it.
DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. it is absolutely the worst. i have never been so stressed trying to keep up with this class, plus others and work. she doesn't even grade some of the essay questions she gives so you waste your time writing 800 word counts.
She gives a ridiculous amount of homework. Every 2 weeks, you have to watch 10 lectures, usually from 20-48 minutes long. You get a word list to take notes on. You have to do 9 essay question. Some of them are an 800 word minimum! She words her own test, and most questions arent even covered in the lectures. For your mental health, dont take.
Worst professor I had during my 4 years at SLU. She would make you answer all the test questions with word counts up to 800 words per question, then not even have that question on your test. Lectures were long and boring. This class made my hair fall out. be advised, please don't do it
American History DE. During a Zoom call (which we had because our entire class was failing), we asked her what we should do to bring our grades up. We told her reading the textbook and studying lecture notes were not helping. To this she replied, "Welcome to college."
Mrs. Anderson was a great professor who was very punctual.
