My biggest surprise. I never imagined I would like (and do well in) chemistry, since I'm not a sciences major. She used to teach high school, so her style is very, very clear. Knows her subject and easy to work with. She's the only chem teacher to take. OTC, give her a raise.

She was awesome! I really learned a lot from her class. She does a really good job relating the info to our lives so that we can remember it. I would def. take her again, if I could! :) I ended up with an A out of the class and I havne't had CHM for almost 5 years! She has this way of making things "click"!

She is a really funny and interesting teacher. But she does have favorites. She likes to be cool with the popular kids or the brown nosers. Anyways other than that she grades fair and is a pretty easy teacher.

She is a great teacher. She realizes that everyone just didn't walk out of chem class or that it may have been a long time ago. She is quite helpful and is willing to help you get your grade as long as you work at it.

I highly recommend her. She spells it out so us non-knowing chemistry people can make sense of it. She's funny and she has stupid little "tricks" to remember things, no matter how stupid you think they are, you'll use them!!!

Her notes were often easier to understand than the book. This is a class you need to attend to do well in. I used OTC's Academic Achievement Center's chemistry tutors too (they were helpful).

She is an awesome teacher! If you don't understand she will help and she makes sure that you understand it, she will do anything she can to help and she makes the class more intersting. She is very animated too which makes it funny.

She is an AMAZING teacher. She puts it into clear and understandable language and tries to relate it to real life. She is probably the MOST energetic teacher I have ever had. I had dreaded taking this class, but Mrs. McChesney made the class fun and exciting and hey I passed with a B.

She will answer any questions and is always willing to make time to help. My only suggestion is if you are really into chem and know your stuff, you might get bored.

She is always willing to help, tells you point blank what to study, and just an amazing person. Takes notes, show up, don't fall asleep, and you will ace it too!

Awesome teacher! Some parts of chemistry are hard to understand, but she explains them very well and makes the class interesting. The class work is fairly easy, but sometimes there is a lot of it to do. Come to class! Some lessons are hard to get caught up on. Also, she is very very helpful, and wants you to succeed. I highly recommend her class!

Great teacher, take decent notes, and do all of the labs and you will pass easily, replaces one low test score with final, homework is only collected the day of the tests. She also does cool demonstrations in the middle of class. Very funny. TAKE HER.

This is the BEST teacher I've had at otc all together! I just knew i was gonna fail chemistry but she explained things in common terms that made the class easy to understand. Her tests are semi difficult but if you study a decent amount you will do just fine. I would recommend taking this teacher! She is the BEST!

Best teacher I have had at OTC hands down. I had no interest in this class going in, and got an A. That's not to say that it is initially easy. She just explains it in ways that you will understand. Go to class, take notes, and you will be just fine!

If you have to take chemistry, this is the teacher to take! She makes the class super interesting and is really good at explaining difficult concepts. I had an A all the way up til I took the final (thats my fault!!) and ended up with a B in the class. Highly recommend!!

AMAZING teacher!! She took my most feared class of the semester and made it my favorite. She explains things so well and is extremely helpful. Just be in class in everyday.

McChesney is a very intelligent woman and I enjoyed her throughout the semester. She does an extremely good job teaching, and doing so efficiently. HIGHLY recommend! I never once used my textbook...but I did study my labs and notes. Make sure to write down everything she puts on the whiteboard because it'll be on the test! Put in the time, easy A!

She makes chemistry fun

Chemistry is hard! But, Professor McCheney made it enjoyable and fun! She gives out reading assignments to read before class so that you wont be too lost (not a lot of pages, just the important info really), and then lectures. You will definitely have to work for your grade, but she keeps class interactive and fun.

She came in halfway through the semester and took over the CHM class. She is an AWESOME teacher. Funny, grades easily, and gives extra credit. Made this class easy.

Hybrid Intro Chemistry Class. Very funny and truly cares about you and your understanding of science. Is not always clear about her expectations though.

McChesney is by far one of the BEST professors at OTC. She does her best to teach in a way that everyone learns best from and always has fun ways to remember things. If you put in the effort you will do well in this class. She turned my absolute fear of chemistry in to a love of chemistry. Her class is the only class I've ever looked forward to!

Chemistry was a huge struggle for me, but Mrs. McChesney made it fun and did her best to help me learn the material. She provided multiple ways (videos, practice, songs) to help us memorize and enormous amount of material. She knew when you where trying and was willing to help anyway she could!

Angie is probably one of the best college instructors I've ever had, and this is my third degree. She compartmentalizes her lectures (I took a hybrid class and watched her videos) and things that I've always had trouble with I suddenly started understanding. She's engaging and hilarious, and she really does care about her students. A+ teacher.

AMAZING! She is a very helpful teacher and always is trying to help her students. She is funny and a little quirky. The labs were really detailed and fairly easy, she never hovered over us, allowing us to have a lot of freedom in labs. She proves a lot of study materials before the test, making you feel incredibly prepared for each test.

Just keep going! Dedication and determination will win in the end. Studying is necessary as the exams are not the easiest. There are plenty of resources provided for success.

I used RMP to decide which professor to take chem101 from. I am so thankful I did. Prof McChesney is amazing. This was an online course with video lectures which were very thorough & helpful. Also, DO THE EXTRA CREDIT! These will give you "free" points & you will also PASS the exams! I was never "science minded" and I earned an A+ in her class.

Professor McChesney would be my go-to chemistry teacher if you're going to take it online. She provides great resources, and lots of extra credit since she wants everyone to succeed. I had a lot of questions this semester and she emailed me back promptly. She is very clear about what she expects from students, and I loved her class.
