Awesome teacher! Explains concepts very well by using several approaches. Very clear and helpful!
She's hard to understand--thick accent. Very unpleasant to listen to. But gives practice tests which makes it easy to get a good grade. Gets argumentative and aggressive when you point out her mistakes.
She gives review sheets for all the tests. If you understand the reviews you will get a good grade.
Awsome Teacher. Her lectures are clear and help out a lot. She is very helpful and clealy describes math step by step. She gives out study guides before each chapter tests that really prepair you and are very helpful. I would recommend taking her for math.
Couldn't understand her. had to drop the class even though it was an easy class and she was letting us out early all the time.
yes i agree her accent is hard to understand sometimes but she is a great teacher who really wants you to learn math . will def take her again..
Very good teacher. Explains things many different ways until you understand it. Don't worry about the accent, I enjoyed it, kinda funny the way she pronounces some words. If you can't figure out her accent, you'll never figure out the math....don't listen to the people that say they couldn't understand her, they just couldn't understand the math
Great teacher. She explains things in a way that is easy to understand. She truely knows her math concepts. Her accent was not an issue, and I think she is very easy to understand. You do have to study to pass the tests, but she gives a practice test to take home that is similar to the actual test. Highly recommended!

was easy going and fun even with the accent.
i couldn't understand a word she was saying. i dropped that class in a heartbeat.
Excellent teacher!! Her teaching style is very clear and has a step-by-step approach to all problems. She cares about her students and is extremely helpful. I followed her for three consecutive semesters and enjoyed every class.
I can't understand a word she says but im learning math better than I ever have. She is a good teacher.

Hey she's a great teacher, and the tests are super easy. Though I have taken this in high school. But beware she doesn't like ditching. She told me if i ditched another day she'd drop me so u gotta show up for more then the test. :( but overall easy like crazy!!
She's good! Very clear.
Fantastic teacher! If I could take her for calculus, I would.
Really nice lady, very hard to understand at times which is definitely NOT GOOD for a math class! Doesnt give tests often enough, you'll have one every 3 weeks or so on about 4 chapters which gets a little difficult! I wouldn't want to take her for the higher level maths but for the easy stuff like MATH 10 shes alright!
she is very good at explaining formulas. she goes step by step. very good teaching. even though she has an accent, i still understood her. the accent almost made me pay attention more.
Mrs. Weis is the Best math teacher EVER. Will take her for all the math classes needed. Gives studyguides before test. Very Helpful and great lectures!!!! U have to take her if u hate math like i do.
She is a great teacher. Very easy to understand. She teaches math well. Makes sure that you understand it before she moves on. Lets you use notecards and gives a pretest. I recommend her to anyone
Not a bad teacher but she is hard to understand and is not super helful. Just tells you to try harder when you struggle, doesnt help you
she is the greatest teacher in the math department. you will get an A if you pay attention and take notes.
I took her online for a short 8-week session in the Spring. Terrible online teacher. Hard to get a hold of, incredibly unavailable. But kind and understanding. Only take her online if you know your math!
Very helpful if you are struggling. She knows her trig. If you do not understand something, she will try to explain different approaches. She wants to help and constantly asks which way we like better if there are multiple options for solving an equation. Allows one page of notes for each test, which is extremely useful.
you have no homework five test which i hate the way she grades if you dont do promblems the way she wants you to she takes points off.
very helpful and you can tell she loves to teach people who are eager to learn.
Very good instructor. Explains the formulas very well and gives many examples to help you understand. Her accent was not bad at all to understand. More than willing to help you after class. I wanted to take her for my other math courses but the schedule didn't work out for me to do that.
answers questions quickly. works with your schedule for tests if necessary. i took her online and knew my math perfectly so if you dont know ur math ... idk
Her accent bugged me the whole semester, but she's a great teacher. Just do well on the tests and you will be fine since that's all she grades you on.
Great teacher. She gives you amazing notes, lets you use a page of notes on tests, homework not turned in.
Great teacher. Weis does a great job!
Online Course. Can get 100% credit on all HW by getting all answers correct. HW is 20% of grade. Tests given 2-3hrs to take online. Can take each test twice and keep highest score. Online Tests 60% of grade. Final is taken on campus (NO CALCULATORS) 1 page of notes allowed front and back. Final is mandatory (multiple choice) 20% of grade.
Took class on campus. Easy if youre good at math. HW is extra credit on tests and the tests arent hard if you study a little for them. For those who arent good at math she does many examples but goes slow and isnt always clear on the concepts but she cares about helping the students understand. Nice and helpful. 5 tests, 1 is dropped, and a final.
She is a great teacher! Even though she has an accent she is still crystal clear and gives very good notes. She lets you use a page of notes on tests, drops the lowest test score you receive and homework is extra credit! She is also very nice and helpful!
Excellent math teacher! I took Trig from her almost 10 years ago, and because she taught it so well, I was quickly able to relearn it 8 years later. She does have a strong accent, but it makes you pay attention harder. What she actually says and teaches is very easy to learn. She is very fair and reasonable when it comes to tests and homework.
Great teacher. Helpful. Answers questions one may have. Lets one use a page of notes on tests hw is extra pts towards tests. Explains everything well and thoroughly.
Good at teaching and showed us a easier way to do math. Very nice and helpful.
Algebra 2, online. 9 tests with 66 separate homework assignments. Tests are approximately every 2 weeks. Each test is open 4 days, and you get two attempts at each test. Toward the end, tests were at shorter intervals which made it tough to keep up. Professor is fairly responsive, though I did wait 5 days once for a response to an email.
Took for 104 and 105. She is great! As people have stated she has an accent but she is one of the best teachers on campus and I wish she taught calc.
If you take her online, MAKE SURE YOU CHECK MYMATHLAB WEEKLY. Sometimes I wouldn't receive her reminder emails about tests and assignments and I'd miss the deadline and points for the chapter, so I didn't pass. Otherwise, test and assignment times were easy to work with and her final was much easier than the online work.
She is a very good professor she loves her job.
I'm not good at Math at all, & she made Calculus an easy class. Lessons are simple & to the point; no confusion & she welcomes questions. HW due on test day. Test review before test. Drops lowest test. She makes math simple & easy even for those that hate math & are bad at it. Sort of like a high school teaching method which works!!!
I took Mrs. Weis online, the homework is easy at first as long as you know some Algebra ll as you get close to the end of chapters, it gets really hard. No notes are posted, so you kind of just got to do it yourself. It's an okay class though, you shouldn't fail as long as you know your math.
She is a really good teacher. If you don't understand something she will stop and explain it to you until you do understand. Some people commented on her accent, but she is very easy to understand. She gives extra credit, so go to class everyday and do all the homework in order to get an A in her class.
Very nice professor. Clear explanations. She gives and solves a practice test before each test, so you can see what type of questions to expect. Do all your homework and you'll get extra credit.
I would take this professor, unless your very good at math. I took the class online a lot of the information was confusing. Didn't have time for too much tutoring. The subject is hard. I recommend if can't take it in class. Not take Mrs. Weis online. She is way hard on her online students. Plus, she doesn't give extra credit online.
I don't like this teacher at all. I'm taking her online there is no extra credit and 30% of your overall grade is based on the final. The material is hard enough and difficult to remember everything. She enjoys failing students. I regret every minute of this semester that I took her. Don't make the same mistake as I did, I promise you'll regret it.
This professor was the worse professor I have ever taken. She didn't know how to work the online portion of her class. Carl Yuan is a better professor, take him.
Going into this class I was terrified! I am not good at math by any means but I really need it for my Marine Biology major. From the very first day she made everything easy to understand! Thanks to her I love math (at least Trig anyway)! I really want to stick with her for Calc 1! Amazing teacher!
I took trig in high school so I found it to be really easy. Obviously others hadn't taken it before, but I think a good amount found it easy as well. Explains well. Extra credit. Study guide which is pretty similar to test. Most multiple choice. Some allowed a 3X5 notecard. She was just a cute, happy lady! (It sounds like you should take in class)
Great teacher. She is very helpful and always willing to tutor after class in her office. She speaks clear. Her practice tests will increase your skill level on whatever it is you are learning. Her tests are challenging but not impossible to pass. Homework is not mandatory but if you do turn it in she will add 5% on your test. Graded only on tests.
best teacher ever take her you will love her math class
Professor Weis's college algebra course has plenty of homework. She's a great professor and will explain things in detail to you. She prepares you for the exam and shows you tricks and tips to make math that easier. Reviews practice tests questions before exams. Exams are the heart of the class, pass them and you'll pass the class.
Trig is difficult if you weren't exposed to it before. Professor Weis helps by showing you methods that will make learning trig easier. Exams are hard, homework is optional but counts as extra credit.
Breaks problems down to make them easier to understand. Gives you ideas how to easily memorize stuff throughout the course. The class is made a bit less stressful by making the homework extra credit.
Mrs. Weis cares about you learning the material. She goes over the material until you understand it. She gives you practice test's and goes over any questions before the test. She is my favorite teacher at VVC. I highly recommend taking her for any and all Math classes.
I had Mrs. Weis during fall and I must say she is probably the best math teacher in this school. She explains how to solve a question step by step. Not only that, but she provides a review for the test! She is a wonderful teacher and don't be afraid to ask questions!
Very nice teacher, gives good lectures, if you pay attention and take good notes you'll pass .will take for a higher class also
Professor Weis made math easy to understand and she doesn't surprise you on tests. come to class, do your homework, do well on tests and the class should be a breeze.
This teacher is an absolute gem. I am horrible at math and she brought it all into the light after taking her college algebra course. She taught methods that are far easier than what I had learned before. Math instructors don't get any better than this people! She is caring, professional, cute, funny, and very good at her job. I highly recommend!
She's a good teacher stays after class to help people who needs a little extra help. Gives reviews before the test and gives good lectures. will take next semester
Two of my children took Math 90 online with her at different times in their high school career. Both ended up with 89.75 and an 89.9 something and Ms. Weis would not round up for anything!! I find this incredible as a former teacher, that would be an obvious time to round up, especially if the student is asking for a way to do extra credit.
She made math fun
Professor Weiss was amazing during my summer math-10 class. She's very professional explains with clarity and makes sure the class is in the same page and understands before moving on. Lectures are never boring, take notes, attend to class, pay attention, ask for help if you need it. She is always willing to help her students and truly cares .
I enjoyed Professor Weis's College Algebra class this semester. She is such an excellent teacher that I learned the material easily and it was very pleasant. Her explanations were very clear and her jokes were very funny. I really like how she relates math to real life. Even though the class was webenhanced, you don't need MymathLab for homework.
I took Professor Weis's math 90 online, there is a lot of homework for ever section but it's super easy. And test or after ever chapter. There are weekly discussion boards that are due every Sunday night. I emailed her a couple times and she got back to me by the next day! The final was done at the campus is was super easy!
I took Prof. Weis for College Algebra & Trig. She's amazing! There is a fair amount of homework, but she makes everything easy to understand & will help you if you ask. Trig homework is extra credit & goes towards your test. I highly recommend her!
Prof. Weis was awesome. She is good at clarifying if you don't understand something, and asks at the beginning of class if you needed help with something in the homework. She is really nice, and funny. If you show up, take good notes, and study a bit (she also gives out practice tests to help you study) you will pass no problem
Lots of homework, tests are a little difficult, and final is a good overview of the course. If you need help, email is available always. It was a pretty clear-cut grade. If you try, you will get a B or higher.
Mrs Weis is a exceptional professor I am definitely taking her for all my math classes She is nice and explains very clearly and throughly I would recommend her to anyone and everyone
Professor weis is the best professor I've had for math 10 and I have her math 12 . She's the one to choose for all of the math classes because she teaches in easier ways and explains smoothly to get you to understand. You don't need to be shy to ask . Homework is always easy tests are easy if you do the homework and ask questions.
Does not provide study guides. Be prepared to go to the tutoring center a lot.
Professor Weis is an outstanding professor. She makes sure everyone is successful. Goes over any questions you may have on the homework and teaches several different ways to get the correct result. I would take her any day of the week.
Weis is the best professor ever. Looking for a good math teacher, don't think anymore and choose her. She is awesome. I had her for other math levels and if I have to keep taking math classes ill keep taking classes with her. Easy to understand the math problems, extra credits, tests are usually good if you study.
This teacher is great show up and pay attention to her in class. She really is a teacher who want to help her students anyone that fails her class did not try at all. She is a great teacher few to find here at Vvc . I didn't buy book just printed homework from the library
Professor Weis gives really good lectures, and she tells us how it applies to many different careers. Professor Weis also gives tips on higher level math classes; such as, things to remember. Also, the tests are not tough at all if you pay attention in class. She does not give pop quizzes, and she offers a decent amount of extra credit.
Professor Weis is an outstanding professor. She is extremely helpful, especially for me (who Failed Pre Algebra twice at a different college.) She made learning fun and enjoyable. I highly recommend her if you struggle with math. Practice tests are given out before exams, and if you need any help, she is there for you. Do the work, and you'll pass
Weis is a great math professor, took Math-105-College Algebra. Great lectures, explains everything thoroughly and cares about her students. Gives a good amount of homework but it's so you can practice and master the concept. Gives test reviews before exam, they are pretty accurate for what's on the exams. If you put in the work, you will pass.
Professor Weis always goes above and beyond during her lectures, office hours or during math labs to ensure both availability and comprehension to all who attend. Her enthusiasm for math coupled with her ability to relate every subject matter to real world situations is both captivating and inspiring. TY Lord for blessing us with Anh Weis. Amen.
Professor Weis was very helpful. She always ensured understanding of all material. Stayed after hours to help everyone. Very funny and entertaining. Never a dull moment in her class. This is my 2nd class with her. I would definitely recommend her to every one. Thank you Professor Weis.
Great teacher for those who are good at math and those who struggle. She gave practice tests before exams and they were almost identical to the actual tests. She explains things in the simplest way possible. Homework is hard at times, but the tests are much easier. Her workshops were extremely helpful. She made the 6 week summer class bearable.
She's a great professor. She wants all her students to ace her exams. She shows shortcuts in math that other professors won't bother teaching you. She goes through all the material a day before the exam and gives a practice test to take home. I would take all her classes if she teaches calculus.
Loved her class. If you follow the syllabus and try you will get an A.
She's a wonderful person who actually cares if u understand the concepts. Gives you information where u can get help at. Lot of homework but it's super easy. This is class is like Pre Algebra. Word problems are easy nothing difficult. Test are easy. No quizzes. You honestly don't have to try. Also, u could drop your lowest test grade at the end.
Weis was ana amazing teacher. She is very clear on her lessons and asks constantly if abyone has questions. I would defently take her class again. I recommend not missing class for she teaches a section a day. If you do tho its easy to just talk to her and she will catch you up.
She will help you. Yes. She will.
Excellent instructor feedback provided really works. Instructor who help to remove my fears of college. Work hard and take it serious you'll do well. Pay attention everything she says and does has a meaning behind it. She really does care about her students.
This "professor" is very rude and will discriminate you in front of the entire class. Does not care about the students and doesn't cover the entire section of the chapter and will leave you to figure it out on your own.
I took this class online and it was fairly easy. We had to do assignments on MyMathLab and do a test about the chapter after. Then every week we would have discussion boards where we would have to solve a problem step by step.
Prof. Weis is a great instructor, math is hard but she tries her best to help you understand.
She's really great at teaching. If you did good in 90, then this class will be a breeze and if not she will personally help you if you are struggling. She gives 5% extra credit when she forgets the attendance lol and let us use a 1 whole page cheat sheet for the final. And idk if coming was mandatory cuz ppl came late everyday and she wouldnt mind
Great Professor Alway there for her students .Always helping ! She wants you to be to well in her class.
I loved her class! Ive taken 2 classes with her. She's so sweet and nice to everyone and teaches you very well with using different examples until you get it. I highly recommend her! There should be more instructors like her. She will make sure you understand and always wants students to approach her if they need help. Best math professor!
Great professor just plain and simple !
She is the best! You won't regret taking her class , she explains everything and makes it easy to understand, her Exams are multiple choice. She gives extra credit, she is very dedicated to her students.
She gives a lot of homework during summer but she's an overall easy and funny teacher.
I'm horrible at math, but she made it easy to understand by relating it to real life examples. She does have an accent, but i understood her. She's pretty chill and helpful. I would enjoy taking her classes.
She gave practice tests before each test which are almost the same as the actual test. Drops lowest test score and sometimes lets you have notes and calculator for tests. She just has you write out the homework from the book instead of buying the online program so it is cheaper. Great for people not good at math, goes through every step in problem.
Ms. Weis wants all of her students to pass. She goes above and beyond to make sure that everyone has an opportunity to get extra help outside of class too. She always gives out practice tests before the actual tests, which helps quite a bit. Be sure to do all of the homework before the test though, the repetition helps- as well as her workshops.
I took her class during the summer session, it's very fast pace but was an easy A. She assigned a lot of homework but it's manageable. She's really nice and easy to talk to she does have a slight accent but still understandable, I recommend taking her class. I will be definitely taking her Math 105 class.
Gives practice tests which are kind of similar to the test, but I don't think they cover everything. I struggle with math so I had to go to her math workshops where she'd explain things she didn't touch on as much in class which is what got my test scores up. Super sweet, always willing to help and answer questions. Lots of homework.
I took Prof. Weis in the Fall of 17. She is the best teacher I've ever had for math. She does not ask for much. Just do the homework, show up to class, and get As on the tests, and you'll get an A in the class. She is a very caring person. She loves what she does, and I love her for it. She will motivate you, and make you want to get A. She's hot
I took Prof Weis as a sub. Overall, Weis was a great teacher. She really puts in the effort to make her students to comprehend the material. She is also available after class if you need extra help. She does have an accent, nonetheless you could still understand her. She is very caring and funny.
Math is a great challenge for me and I really have to study hard; however, Professor Weis offered additional help outside of class as well as workshop study help. She is a gifted math professor who conveys the material very well. I thoroughly enjoyed her class. Her enthusiasm & commitment to her students is outstanding. Professor Weis is the best!
So much homework literally had no time to even sleep because of all the homework and constant tests, couldnt really understand her much either :/ hopefully I get a better professor next semester
She's the best teacher ever if I could take more math classes I would definitely take her again, she's amazing and really wants her students to pass and she'll make math really understandable.
I have taken Math 104 and 105 with professor Weis, and I received A for both for the classes. I can garrentee you that she is an amazing professor. She clarifies the materials in great detail, and her tests are similar to the practice tests. Moreover, she provides extra credit opportunities. Best of all, she even stays after class to help students.
She is a really great professor makes it easy to follow along
Prof. Weis is an excellent teacher and very approachable. There are 6 tests, lowest dropped, and a cumulative final. Notes allowed on all tests, including final. The homework is done on paper, so no access code needed, and is turned in on test day for that chapter. She shows all of the steps and uses creative ways to teach difficult math topics.
Prof. Weis is engaging and she simplifies problems that are otherwise difficult. There are 5 tests, lowest dropped, and one cumulative final. The homework is done on paper, no access code needed, and is turned in on the day of the test for that chapter. She allows a scientific calculator, no graphing calculators (same for 104). Notes on tests.
This professor will work with you until you get it. If you don't care to try she won't care either.
Her lectures, for me at least, were understanding and effective to my learning style (auditory and visual). She gives step by step examples if needed, will even show a quick way to achieve the problem solving solution if you find that interesting. Don't expect a miracle, put in work!
Professor Weis is truly a caring teacher. She wants only the best for her students and the time and effort she puts into her scholars reflects that. Her lectures are awesome as she relates many concepts to real life scenarios and funny stories. It helps tremendously with solidifying concepts. Her teaching has made me contemplate changing majors.
She Is clear on how to do the math and Super helpful! Gives extra credit for going to her workshops and it goes towards her test. An Amazing teacher! I love her class and learn a lot.
She a great teacher. Will take the time to explain things. Lots of homework, but the class was pretty easy.
Available outside class
Took her for Trig (Math 104) in the winter. It still is alot of homework, but she is very lenient. Prof. Weis is the definition of what a college professor should be like. Extra credit is offered almost for every test. Uploads class notes after every class onto BB. Trust me take her she is worth it.
Math is a difficult subject for a lot of people and I am one of them. Having a teacher that actually cares and takes the time to ensure that their students have every opportunity to do well is essential for success. Professor Weis is exactly that! I had to put in the time and effort, but In the end, I actually learned a lot and did well.
Professor provided an awesome learning experience. Always provided the Why. Though Trig can be tough, she made complex terms simple. Always answers questions and was always available after class. Provided many study labs. Test, quizes were based upon what was taught. No surprises. Very positive attitude. Just apply yourself and you will pass.
Although 105 entailed a lot to learn, Weis was very helpful in helping her students digest the material. She was very clear and concise with her instructions. Whether you are analytical or visual, she provided many different ways to approach a problem. She is so dedicated to the success of her students. This is witnessed by her labs provided.
Weis is a great math teacher, although I don't think she's necessarily for everyone. I struggled in class, but I would chalk that up to it being a winter class and my totally underestimating the material itself. She does have an accent, but I don't see anyone having problems understanding her. Be prepared to work for the grade you want.
Professor Weis is totally awesome. She is so caring and interested in her students to be successful in her class. Not only does she explain the problems thoroughly but she also expresses "why" its being done. Which gave me a lot more clarity. It's not enough space here to express in words how much I appreciate her!
Professor Weis is an amazing professor. If you struggle in math this is the professor to take. She makes the effort to make sure everyone is understanding the material and is willing to help each student out until they understand the material. She is passionate about math and making sure her students succeed. I highly recommend taking her class.
Math isn't my best subject, but taking Weis' class online was the best thing I could've done for myself. I mainly used the Pearson website for both lectures and homework but Weis offered so much help and encouraged us to get help if we needed it. Truthfully, I wish I could take all my math online.
I would love to take Professor Weis again but she does not teach math 227. I love her enthusiasm when it comes to math. She makes it feel bearable and fun when you get the problem right. She gives extra credit and that saved my butt at times! She is very caring and a great math professor!
Lectures are clear with occasional jokes. Super friendly
I took this class over winter, 6 weeks and it was a very good experience. If you really work, you will get the grade you deserve, and you will be thankful for the hard work you achieve. Nothing to worry about as long as you study your lectures!
Weis was very caring and had awesome lectures. She makes sure you understand the content and is open for questions for clarification during the lecture. There are a few tests but if you pay attention you will pass.
WOW!! LOVE LOVE LOVE!! Her class is for fast learners, but she makes sure everyone understands. The book is not required, homework is easy, there's extra credit, AND SHE BRINGS FOOOOD!! TAKE THIS CLASS!!!! Lectures are easy to follow, and she gives study guides. I could go on and on. Really cares about her students.
She is amazing
Shes not good at explaining things. She jumps to one thing after another. Never just talks about one thing and get that one part over with.
Love her teaching style gives a decent amount of homework, the practice test really does help i want to continue taking her classes.
She teaches fast, so pay attention, but So much extra credit! After she grades a test, you can go to the math success center & correct the questions you got wrong for 5-10 more points. HW is given each day, but not due until the test date. Has a schedule, but will push back test dates a couple days or switch chapters around if class is unready.
Great professor, however her homework load is through the roof!!! I was loaded with over 100 math questions, plus a 3 hr quiz for one week worth of homework as well as having to post in a discussion board and reply to two other students which is difficult considering how one can really respond if the math problem is correct or not.
She was over all a great professor, it was a lot of work cuz it was a 6 week course but she gave us the knowledge we needed to pass the class within that time frame. Shes awesome !
For a 6 week class, If you put the effort in you will receive better results. Try not to speak too much in class and pay attention. Very well at explaining and extra credit is always available. Explains material very well and has a great sense of humor. Will go the extra mile to help better understand the material.
Honestly her class wasn't very hard, and i took it for the 6 week summer course. I went everyday and was always taking notes. She does give homework but it isn't due till the day of the test. She does work fast but as long as you pay attention during the lecture you will get it. She even offers help on hw questions if you need it. Great professor
Took her for about three semesters (42,90,104) and really saw some consistency in her classes. She definitely cares about your success in the class and wants to help you. she pays attention to the need of the class whether it's explaining the lesson over again or even before tests going over some material. Extra credit really saved me. She is...
cont: worth taking if you ever struggled in math. She believed in my ability to pass the class and that said more of how awesome of a professor she is. She doesn't just teach you, she want to make sure you understand the concepts of math. The tests were standard but weighed a big percentage of your grade. So, it is important that you make time in..
cont: going to the MSC to study, use the resources she gives you so you will do well on the tests. Homework's online and there is much of it for all these courses. Have to really donate your time into her class and you will pass. Communicate and show how much you care and she'll give that energy right back to you, giving you a worthwhile experience
I love prof weis this is my 2nd class with her I took her for 42 She really wants you to pass she let us do test corrections on test, mid-term,final. Extra credit when you go in to the math center. If she sees your really trying and need extra help shes more than happy to help! oh and her test are multiple choice, calculators are allowed on test
Worst professor I have ever had. Shes extremely boring and never answers her emails. She assigned way more homework than what should have been allowed; we do have other classes. Do yourself a favor and choose a different professor. Youll thank me later.
Sorry but this teacher just doesn't cut it, 3 hour lectures and yet she takes forever to finish a single problem. Her accent is thick and not in a good way. Hard to understand at times. Class is also unbearable, and yes tests are not multiple choice making her a tough grader. If I were a student, look out for better teachers and avoid this one.
She absolutely does not answer emails and is horrible with communication, she dropped me and told me I can get back in once I finish work and gave me more and more work, not caring we have other classes, tried asking about mid-terms and had no response and never replied to ANY of my emails, rushes through questions and expects you to know it.
Too much work in that class. The teacher is very disorganized takes a long time to put in grades. Cannot get ahold of her that easily she is always busy.
Poor Communication. Lots of HW. You will be teaching yourself most of the material. Rarely finishes lecture. Lecture material, HW and Tests never align its like each one had new concepts within them that she didnt teach. Very hard to catch on. Overworks you on concepts she doesnt care to put on the test. You will never be fully prepared.
One of the most caring and patient professors. She is an incredible math teacher. She helps you grasp each concept and takes times to make sure you understand. Offers lots of tutoring opportunities in the math lab and gives xtra credit for corrections on tests. I enjoyed her class very much. She makes herself laugh which makes you laugh. 5stars
One of the best math professors at VVC! She uses mnenomic devices to help students remember formulas! Very fair grader. She's quirky and has good energy about the subject. Many other professors don't have passion when teaching; she does! Always very nice, approachable, and willing to answer any questions. Take her when you can.
Professor Weis is very lovely. Her lectures are heavy so if you skip class you'll be behind. She allows you to redo quizzes and exam questions you got incorrect. I took the class because I thought it was multiple choice exams but that changed. Overall she is always willing to help but you have to put in the work as well.
By far one of the best math professors at VVC, extremely caring & respectful. Cares about her students & is willing to help with anything she can. Definitely recommend her!
I took this Professor for MATH105. She was very energetic and passionate about math. She is seemly accessible 24/7 responds to emails very quickly and can be found outside of class helping students in the MATH SUCCESS CENTER. She also gives out a insane amount of extra credit.
Its okay, lot of homework. Gives extra credit for PI day and other activities. The class was alright
Give out questions on quizzes and tests that she doesn't even know how to solve it herself. I heard that she only teaches lower-level Math classes and it shows. Instead of constantly advertising your math center or whatever it's called, try to improve on being more organized with our grades.
She was amazing I loved her. I took her Hybrid Class. She really cares and wants you to pass if you don't pass her class you simply were not trying because she gives endless amounts of extra credit. She will work with you as long as you put in the effort!
She never gave up on me and I went from an F to a B. She gave lots of treats to the class and opportunities for extra credit, she tries to make her lectures funny and very easy to understand. She's one of the best teachers I've gotten so far and she may be unfair to others but it's only because she expects a lot of effort from you.
Weis is a great professor. She is very helpful inside and outside the class. I would definitely recommend taking her.
Horrible teacher! She gets stuck on problems and can't finish them. Gives you tons of homework problems that she can't do herself. Avoid, avoid, avoid!!!
Amazing! She is so sweet and patient, she isnt hard, she will extend due dates and do whatever possible to help you pass the class. Before I got my financial aid and could afford the my math lab website, she purchased a code for me to keep me from dropping the class when I had already made it so far. I highly recommend!
Love her!! I wish I could have taken her for the third time, but she wasn't teaching what I needed to take. She is amazing!!! Lectures are long. She does not waste time!! She will use the three hours that she has with you. Very easy. Ask questions if you are lost. She will help you! She truly cares! You can find her in the math center. Always there
Just awful! It's hard to understand her. It's so hard to learn math from someone with poor language skills. I couldn't figure out what she was saying in order to be able to learn the math. Avoid her if you can.
Professor Weis is one of the best! She is always there when you have any questions. She makes herself available and makes sure you understand before she moves on, I wish she instructed more classes I need to take.
This is one of the greatest teachers at this school, especially when it comes to math. She is extremely caring and works very hard for the betterment of her students. I am so happy that I decided to take her class. Be sure to use the math center and you will do amazing.
I am very glad that I decided to take this teacher. He explains things thoroughly and as well takes the time even outside of class to help you, if you decide on wanting to understand the material better. He has a love for math and it shows, which honestly makes me like math that much more.
She believes in her students abilities and she will go the extra mile to help her students understand the materiel even if it means staying after class and time away from her family. Someone gave her a negative comment and mentioned the Math center, "or whatever" it's called and that might just be a clue as to why they failed. They about that.
She's horrible! The workload is unbelievable!! She's unreasonable with her expectations of how many assignments we should do.
Avoid this one! She can't teach. Takes FOREVER to respond to emails. She's too busy for her students.
Taken over the winter, professor Weis will definitely push you so be prepared for a nonstop six weeks of homework and algebra. The class itself if challenging but professor Weis always made it understandable to her students. Homework and lecture heavy but you'll never forget the material with her study packets for each chapter. Work for your grade!
Way too many assignments. Tons of tests, homework assignments!!
Sometimes she can't work out the problems.
Prof. Weis is one of the worst math teachers at VVC. The only way to pass her class is to become a regular at the math tutoring center.
Horrible. UNBELIEVABLE amount of Hw and weekly quizzes. I practically had to learn the material on my own. If you don't understand the material at the 2nd time she gets mad and sends you straight to the tutors. It was almost as if she didn't realize that adults also take her class who have kids, work, and other classes outside of her class.
She is easily irritated and gets annoyed if you ask her to explain something again. I had one of the most negative math experiences with her. I regret taking her class. Do not take her! You will be sorry you did.
me and 2 other students and more has to order our books and she told us she will give us time and we can still catch up when it gets there because the book is not in use or at the store so its coming to our homes. Then she drops us and tells us the opposite of what she said and we are in a pandemic and she didnt give us time or even cared to.
Kind lady, that wants her students to pass the class. She expects students to show up to class to LEARN. There is a TEST every week for the winter classes. I think she is fair and funny. She adds life stories to her lessons which I liked. She also encourages students to go to a tutor and to keep working hard in her class and in life. #MathwithWeis!
A lot of people will have bad things to say about any teacher but Anh Weis is definitely my favorite math teacher. She is so nice and she explains things so easily. You really need to pay attention, so if youre having trouble youre probably not paying full attention!
She's one of the worst math professors I've taken at VVC! She's unreasonable in the amount of work she gives and she's unwilling to help students who are struggling.
Ms. Weis is a very caring and sweet woman. She can get a little side-tracked during lectures. I did not want to watch lectures full of talking so I had to teach myself everything with homework. It was not too difficult but I would definitely try to study somewhat before tests. Tests were multiple choice and not super hard. There was a lot of hw.
Although there was lots of homework, someone like me needed it. She does answer emails and questions quickly. She is good in the fact that she will break down the problems and try to help you figure out where you are not getting it. She is the math center coordinator so you can find her in there helping the tutors.
Weis dropped me because I was on quarantine and wont re-add me due to missing to many classes. Im sorry I was worried about my health and the health of others? She stated that she wont add me back and I didnt even give her permission to drop me. If I could give 0 to her I would.
Professor Weis is a caring and vibrant woman. Gives great lectures but are very heavy and time consuming. She made it possible in every way to ensure everyone passed and always made her lessons engaging. Just don't skip class and be determined to pass.
While this class is hard, professor Weis gives you all you need to complete 6 weeks of work. You can correct your tests that you didnt do well on and get your points back. she also excused some assignments when my brother had covid so thats sweet. just beware that her exams require lockdown browser but lets be honest, you dont need to cheat to pass
If you actually are interested in math and want to learn on a deep level, do not take her. I'm okay with lots of homework because that's probably the best way to learn from her class, but avoid her because he teaching style is more aimed for lower-level math classes that don't exist anymore.
Professor Weis is amazing I love how she lectured the course. I took the class not knowing algebra at all and learned it all in 5 weeks since I took a fast pace class. Homework is a lot and very time consuming but overall worth it since it does help out with your grade a lot. She allows test corrections which was a blessing. Highly recommend.
Out of all the professors I have had, I have never had anything bad to say about them, Until now. Professor Anh Weis is probably the single worst teacher I have every come across. She never answers questions to those who need it, and she constantly go one about personal or celebrity topic.
Professor Weis is amazing!!! Absolutely loved taking her summer corse. It was pretty fast paced and a lot of homework but not too bad if you make sure to make time for it. She does all she can to make sure you get the best grade possible! You get to have a page of notes for the tests which is really nice! She was so sweet I definitely recommend her
I learned a lot from this course and even though it did have to be crammed into 6 weeks, Professor Weis' proficiency in teaching covered everything in a timely manner. This course was super easy - homework, tests. She made the class enjoyable with her friendly stories and talks. Overall, great professor, super nice.
She needs to work on time her management. Canceling classes which make us fall behind on lectures. The class schedule she gives you in the syllabus will NOT be followed. Lectures, exams, and quizzes get moved around a lot. I rate her difficult as a professor because she is also very very tough on grading !!!
Ms. Weis really cares about her students. She goes over lectures rapidly so be prepared to write notes to help you with test. I took this class not knowing algebra at all and learned it all in 5 weeks. Homework is heavy and time consuming but overall worth it because it does help your grade. She does allow quiz corrections which helped a lot.
She sucks.
Great person, Great teacher.
Yeah.. NO!
Professor Weis is kind and cares about all of her students. She has a straightforward teaching style and is engaging in her lectures.
Her class was actually easy and doable. Which actually makes it worse for me since I didn't apply myself and failed. She gave extensions on the homework basically every week. We didn't have the chance to fix test answers, but she gave extra credit if you went to the study-a-thon towards your final. It's pretty much a do it yourself class.
She assumes that students know and understand mathematics and pushes you off on a tutor rather than taking the time with her students. She also doesn't update her Zoom or class work. She offers extra credit that you will never see once you have completed it, and she will not allow you to use a scientific calculator w testing, which is ridiculous.
Professor Weis has a straightforward style, but the course can be challenging. Go to lectures, use the textbook, and try Unstuck AI - it really helps with test prep. Overall, it's a fair class if you put in the work.
I had a really hard time in this accelerated hybrid college class. Lecture is great! No complaints there but she doesn't really touch base with a majority of the chapters. She chooses to assign homework that is extremely difficult and wants you to rely on math tutors than her lessons. I wish I would've known this before joining her class.
You do have to take the final exam on campus for online classes, no late work.
Would always be pushing tests back without notifying and then gave me a zero for not showing up when she didn't tell anyone she was changing the test. She takes a very long time to explain the chapters to where we get behind, but as soon as we finish the chapters the next class we have a test.
It honestly was a pretty easy class, but I am good at math. I didn't really interact with the teacher much because I never attended any office hours. But in terms of class work, the lessons are pretty good for being online, and the homework was easy. Some lessons did take longer than others, most were probably about an hour each.
